The quality of the meats was good but not the best. The marinated galbi is flavorful without being overly sweet, and the pork belly is my favorite. Everything was fresh, and the side dishes were flavorful. The service was ok. Grill wasn't changed regularly. We had to ask to get it changed and that was also the time they cleared out empty plates. Majority of the meat were self serve on the open bar. Tables were kind a small and they were closed to each other. When we left, no thank you from the waitress. Maybe it was just her personality. Be aware the time limit is 100 minutes for AYCE. They charge $10 per person for every additional 30 minutes. They don't warn you if you reached the 100 minutes. So keep an eye of your time or you can ask the server how much time left.

Honestly, the best standard tiered KBBQ! My family and I came here to celebrate Father's Day and it was super easy to get a reservation. Since we were a table larger than 7, we had to call in to make a reservation. Their website says that you have to email them but since it was during the week of, we decided to test our luck by calling in and it worked. We came 10 minutes before our dinner reservation and we were checked in and seated within 5 minutes. Since it was a Friday, they have a really good happy hour for alcohol! We also decided to do the basic tier which was $39.99 since it was our first time! It was honestly, one of the best standard tier KBBQ I've had. The standard tier had everything that satisified our craving, ranging from brisket, pork, galibi. Unfortunately, there isn't a seafood option within the standard tier so if you're the type of person that wants seafood with your meats, this won't satisfy your craving. On the tablet at your table, you're only allowed to order 3 meats but they have a buffet on the side where there are the other meat options and side dishes! I really enjoyed the buffet style on the side since you can refill your banchan and side dishes such as tteokbokki, fried tempura, mandu, and much more. The unfortunate thing about this place is that you're ACTUALLY on a time limit of 100 minutes. Majority of the other KBBQ establishments I've been to don't enforce it but this place definitely does. They have a rule of charging $10 per person per a certain time (website can clarify). Since we were a table of 9, we were split into two tables with two different grills and after the 100 minutes, our grills were taken away which is honestly a GOOD thing since we don't have to get charged per person for exceeding the time.

One of the better kbbqs in la based on price and quality. They also validate parking. But theres a couple concerns My favorite meat was the short ribs, but you can only order 4? This is ayce. Theres also no deserts. The service wasnt friendly, he did constantly change our grill but never refilled the water or sides. It was also a little hot in their, recommended turning the ac up during summer time. On the bright side their meats are all good quality, they also have the wagyu brisket which they dont limit you on how much you can order. Decent appetizers as well. Will be back but hope they fix the things I mentioned.

The service here was amazing! One thing I noticed right away was that there wasn't a strong KBBQ smell lingering throughout the restaurant like there is at many other Korean BBQ spots. The side dishes were definitely my favorite part. I had to go back for refills of the japchae, kimchi fried rice, and several other items. The self-serve side dish bar had so many options that it kept every bite interesting, and I never felt food fatigue. The ambiance and overall vibe of the restaurant were also great, clean, welcoming, and enjoyable. Between the excellent service, delicious food, and variety of side dishes, this has easily become my favorite KBBQ spot. I'll definitely be coming back!

For Kimchi Pancake lovers, this spot has the best kimchi pancake I've ever had!! The ratio of pancake batter to the kimchi filling is just perfect. You get a very thin, crispy outer layer, with very delicious, fresh-tasting kimchi and scallions filling on the inside. And each bite of it has a perfect crunch and I was told that the chef here makes his own kimchi and takes great pride in it. And of course, the main attraction here is the meat and the quality was just phenomenal. Friend and I went for the Essentials AYCE meat package for $39.99 per person. This menu included a nice variety of beef, chicken and pork meats. Most of your meats are in a self-serve bar. I mainly enjoyed beef brisket, nicely marinated bulgogi and 2 different types of pork meat. The beef brisket and bulgogi were outstanding, very juicy, tasty, tender. The meat was melting in my mouth. The spot itself has a nice modern design, with modern light fixtures and modern and very effective exhausts at the tables. Those exhausts made sure to keep my clothing fresh and free of kbbq smell. The customer service was excellent. Our server was nice and friendly and very informative on their menu and recommendations. Will definitely come again! Great experience!

I wanted to update my review since its been awhile. Moohan still continues to be my favorite AYCE Kbbq spot in LA. They just have a large variety, great service, and affordable pricing. I came in recently with one other person for lunch. I love that they have a self service bar that includes hot items, cold items, banchan, and even meats. Fresher meats and other items are ordered though the kiosk. There wasn't any meat there we did not enjoy. Everything was really good. Besides the meats, my favorite items also include their ramen, korean pancake, and the lunch box. Besides foods they also have drinks such as cocktails. The staff came quick with whatever items we ordered. We were never left without meats. I also like that their grill doesn't burn is quickly as other places and they replace it without asking if needed. The inside is large and is great for small or large group. They do have a 90 minute limit which I found to be more than enough time. There is validated parking for $3 for 2 hours in the lot. Can't wait to come back.

We got reservations ahead of time as the wait could be long. Happy hour drinks before 6p on weekends. Validated Parking is available for $3 for 6 hours in the equitable lot and free for 3 hrs in the City Center on 6th lot. No validation in the hmart lot. Clean bathrooms! You can do premium or regular kbbq. For regular you can get your meats and other dishes from the "buffet" area but for the premium selection you can order more on the tablet tableside. There can be limits for certain premium items. The team is fast and came to change the grill several times and quickly cleared our empty dishes.

My brother came into town from Singapore and really wanted to try some great food, so we decided on Moohan. Getting a weekend spot is tough--he originally tried to book for last Saturday or Sunday but they were completely full. We finally locked in a Friday reservation for 6:30 PM, and it was absolutely worth the wait! Parking was surprisingly easy and stress-free--only $3 with the restaurant validation. Once inside, the experience was great from start to finish. It's an all-you-can-eat (AYCE) spot with a 100-minute limit, though we were happily full and finished in about 70 minutes. They offer an "Essential" and a "Premium" tier. Because we had the kids with us, we opted for the Essential package, figuring premium wouldn't be worth it for them. Honestly, the Essential tier exceeded expectations. The meat quality is excellent. The standouts for us were definitely the pork jowl, beef brisket, and pork belly. The marinated meats were tasty too, just a tiny bit on the saltier side. Our server was incredibly nice. He took the time to explain how to order using the tabletop tablet and pointed us toward the massive buffet side-dish bar to grab appetizers while waiting for our meat orders to arrive. The selection at the buffet is huge--everything from traditional Korean banchan to tempura, fried rice, and chap chae. My younger son is usually a very picky eater, but last night he completely devoured the steamed egg, fried rice, pork belly, brisket, and melted cheese. When a picky kid eats that much, you know the food is good! Moohan is officially our new go-to spot for AYCE KBBQ. Highly recommend!

Moohan is great. The service was good even with a bunch of huge grad parties, and the meat is top-tier. My family opted to get the premium option for the Galbi and other options and the self-serve line of side dishes made this experience even better. Great friendly staff. Quick service and tasty food. Came here for the hubby's 50th birthday with his family. Ordered the premium set and took advantage of Amex's Resyb credit. Some of the cuts were outstanding, others were OK. Like the amount of buffet items and the ones brought from the kitchen. The takoyaki and friend chicken wings were yummy. The rice from the buffet was not my favorite, nor were the cold noodles or crispy spicy tuna. The ordering process is a bit clumsy from the iPad with an awkward interface. The text was so tiny it was difficult to read The space is minimal and modern. Dark wood and some metal and concrete accents. The speakers were a bit on the loud side as well.

My first time trying and got the classic. You choose your broth, 3 meats and sides. We got the Prime, Short Rib and Toro. We had ordered some shrimp for the side.But we didn't receive it. Not sure if it went to another table or if they just forgot. All in all, it was pretty good.Especially for the price of seventy five dollars.

We got the premium tier to try the steak and other premium meat and it was okay tbh. I'd say the beef belly, brisket, and sides carries the experience. We were wowed by the amount of side dishes, lettuce for our wrap, kimchi, corn cheese, with another self serve for meat. It was super packed at opening and saw people ordering the basic with a lot of side dishes, so might be the wave next time. We would come back here again for the basic tier but probably not the premium. Staff were super attentive, changed our grill without having to ask, and cooked for us here and there! Also parking is validated which comes in clutch! Just might be hard to find parking at night but we came right at the opening on a Friday.

Moohan really stands out among AYCE Korean BBQ spots. The buffet style setup is unique and well thought out, and the quality and variety make it feel elevated compared to most ayce places. The concept alone is worth coming back for. That said, the only consistent downside during my visits has been the service. The servers weren't rude, but they often felt rushed and not very welcoming, which took away a bit from the overall experience. With such a strong food concept, warmer and more attentive service would really take this place to the next level. Overall, still a solid spot with a great idea hoping to see some improvement on the service side. read more

Two best things about this restaurant: 1. The very friendly and calm hostess and the cute Bartender. 1st time trying this restaurant. I have been to the other Korean Barbecue restaurants in the area. This one has only cocktail napkins. It's like being at a Vegas Hotel Buffet, but Korean Barbecue. 3. The concept is beautiful, however the function not so much. Girlfriend saw this on instagram and sent it to me for a future visit and today was the day. We went on a Wednesday evening and it wasn't too busy, so services were quick and we didn't have any issues with getting food from the meat station. Let me say, the happy hour prices are solid and the quality of the meat is better than some of the other AYCE KBBQ places around Ktown. Especially the brisket. I highly recommend! All of their hot foods were great. I really enjoyed my experience here and we will definitely visit again. read more

i research kbbq places in LA found a reddit post that told me to try this place out. i decided to come here for my birthday with a few friends and we were amazed. the food was BOMBBB and the service was really kind/super fast. i've been telling people about this place ever since i went. do NOT skip the food bar. i'm glad that i made a reservation beforehand because it was packed at dinner time. the website has useful info about where to park cause everyone knows that it's a struggle in this area (the restaurant validates parking if you go to the right spot) there were a few other groups around us so it was loud in the restaurant but we didn't mind at all...food was too good. read more

I called ahead specifically to ask if they had a certain dish, and was told "yes, we have it." When we arrived, they immediately said it was sold out, which was frustrating since we came just for that item. The meats were okay, nothing special, and honestly not what you expect from a traditional Korean BBQ spot. The overall style felt different, and not necessarily in a good way. Service was another issue -- the servers felt short, rushed, and borderline rude, which made the experience even less enjoyable. Ambiance is typical Korean BBQ but on the rougher side: greasy floors, chaotic energy, and not the clean, premium feel you'd expect given the hype. Overall, not worth the trip. There are plenty of other Korean BBQ places in LA that deliver better food, better service, and a better experience. read more

Horrible customer service. I made a reservation, crossed town to get here and we had 5 adults and 2 children who are 7 years old who don't eat Korean food. They said they can't sit or they'll be charged for the kids rate even though they're not eating. They wouldn't make an exception. Manager Simon was totally rude and unaccommodating at all. Wouldn't even make an exception or charge for 1 kid instead of 2. Didn't do one thing to keep our business. And what's worse is it's written NO WHERE. No on their website not in their restaurant. I love finding a new Kbbq spot and decided to come here with friends. They validate parking at the Crystal Spa structure off Mariposa for $2 for 3 hours. We ordered the Elite tier and opted out of the Wagyu premium. The quality of meat was decent but the service was exceptional. They have all the essential meats compared to other Korean bbq spots but something was off to get that oomph factor. I do love their POS ordering pad which is available at every table. It makes it convenient. Favorite meats: beef tongue, short ribs, pork belly, brisket and pork jowl. There's a self-serve salad bar offering sauces, more meat selections and veggies Reasonable prices but I have had better at the same price point. Also, their cocktail drinks were pretty weak. Very sweet and minimal alcohol. It looks nothing like their advertised pictures. read more

Came to Moohan KBBQ on a Friday night and went with the premium AYCE set. Inside is clean and very modern. The meat quality was actually really solid for all-you-can-eat. Everything tasted fresh, well-marinated, and there were sooo many options to choose from. From different cuts of beef to pork selections, stews, and even pork buns, you won't get bored here. I'm pretty basic so feel the low tier would've been enough for me. What really surprised me though were the sides. The bar has a ton of banchans and they are legit. Top quality and actually tasted like mom's homemade cooking. The steamed egg was fluffy and flavorful, and the kimchi stew was seriously delicious. This might be one of the rare AYCE spots where I ended up eating more sides than the actual meat. Service was attentive and grills were changed out regularly, which always makes the experience better. Also, they're on Resy, so if you have an Amex Platinum and use the dining credit, this is a clutch spot to take advantage of it. Overall, great option if you're looking for variety, solid meat quality, and surprisingly strong side dishes in Ktown. Would definitely come back. read more

The quality of the meats are superb and we were super glad that the server helped us cook as well. Went here for the all-you-can eat KBBQ dinner and had a great time! The meat selection was solid, and everything cooked up nicely. Pretty good AYCE Korean BBQ restaurant. We went for the Prime option ($59.99) which allowed you to order the premium meats along with the meats under the Elite and Essential option. The ordering system on the iPad was convenient. We didn't have to flag down staff to order things and they actually did a pretty good job at changing the grill plates pretty often. They do have a buffet area with side dishes and a lot of fried food like tempura and cutlet. I did try the cutlet and it was ok. I stuck with the meats that night and felt the quality was good. In the buffet area, they also had beef brisket, beef belly, and pork belly. The restaurant was pretty busy on a Friday 8pm but there were tables and it helped that we already had a reservation. There is underground parking that they validate but luckily I found street parking on the way there. I would come back again if I was in the mood for AYCE KBBQ. read more

I went for the elite combo which was very good. The seasoned meats were very delicious and seasoned well. I really enjoyed the LA galbi and the seasoned short ribs. They have a buffet style bar which you can get salad, fried food, and also other marinated meats. I didn't try any of the marinated meats at the bar besides the brisket and beef belly. Those two meats were good quality as well. You also order other sides and other meats on a tablet. The ambiance of the restaurant looks very modern. The staff was all friendly and helped out. They were very attentive. We were unfortunately sat next to a really loud party of girls and they were screaming the whole time, but overall experience of food and service was great. One of the best KBBQ!!!! The service here is awesome, they're always changing the grill constantly, cutting the pork belly, and flipping unattended meat. The food options are based on 3 options: Essential (Reg) $40, Premium $50, and Wagyu $60. Plus the hot food/salad for all tiers. You must try their fried vegetables and takoyakis here. My party did the regular option and we all agreed to come back and try their Premium tier. read more

~Superb service and amazing ambiance~ My family was going to go to Jjukku Jjukku, however we saw Moohan right next door. It was our first time and it didn't disappoint. There was a whole buffet of extra sides and meat that you can choose from. My husband did see that the chicken had a little bit of red and we didn't complain. The waitress saw it and quickly apologized and gave us a free soda. The service was on point and she cooked for us from time to time. The place was very clean and the ambiance was nice. I was across the street for late night BBQ, but they were already having last call. I heard Moohan blasting some good music and realized that they closed at 2 AM and decided to give it a try. It was pretty empty inside (it was around 11:30 PM on a weekday), which was great. I loved the ambiance of the restaurant. Everything looked super new and modern and we were greeted and promptly seated. There are 3 types of AYCE, but I opted for the lowest tier one because it was pretty late at night and I was just looking for a simple meal. For the tier I selected, everything was self-serve (including the meat) except for the soup, pancake and egg. I have been to some Korean BBQ where the meat is self-serve, but everything looked pretty fresh. The self serve area looked super clean and I saw the employees continuing to clean and refresh. There are veggies, sauces, and some other food items/banchan. Everything was pretty good and tasty. I would saw some of the meat was not as good as some of the other AYCE, but for late night, self-serve, I thought it was good and really enjoyed. Food is really good. $39 for reg and $59 for premium that includes a couple more hot options and meats but it's really only worth it if you get the premium because the regular tier has nothing on it that's hot to order but yeah. Service is subpar. Mostly pushy young guys that look like they're just trying to let the night go past as fast as possible. I got the cold end of that stick tonight but at the same time, I don't blame them. Overall good experience and it is my go - to KBBQ location as of now. My partner and I like it over all but just wish there was a little more on the reg menu as it is still $40, compared to other places around here for dinner, it's expensive. Good place if you have the $60 per person. Will come again of course :) read more

YES, COME HERE. Its def on the pricey side but WORTH if youre able to spend the money.I love that they have appetizers and the unmarinated meat ready and available to grab. I want to come back here for happy hour to try their drinks. I will say service is slow. Though I feel like its a matter of staffing because I see the workers running around constantly. Be sure to keep track of what you get and dont get. This is a good place for a large party. Most other kbbq places in ktown have such a small space and dont have enough grill space to cook enough meat in the allotted time. The ambiance is clean and chill. It can get loud because other parties will be near you. but at least you can still hold a conversation. Parking is available beneath the restaurant and they give you validation. read more

Went on a Saturday afternoon and was surprised to see it super empty. Maybe more people come here late at night. There was parking validation in the equitable garage so that was nice. $2 or 3 dollars I think. This place is a vibe - great energetic edm, dark but aesthetically pleasing with lights, clean buffet area. I enjoyed the selection of hot foods they had to offer and how easy it was to self serve meat. They have different tiers and we got the most basic one since I don't eat tons of beef. The waiters helped cook the food and everything was easy to order through a tablet on the table. This place is a bit out of my way so I probably wouldn't come back but not a bad option for AYCE! read more

This is me and my partners go to spot. We've been coming here so often some of the staff knows us. Their food is amazing as well. The prime beef brisket and wagyu beef belly is to die for. The bar itself has a cozy atmosphere, and the photo booths are a great touch. We first ordered drinks from a female bartender who was friendly, professional, and served us quickly. The restrooms were clean and spacious. Having only two stalls for such a busy venue isn't ideal, but it could always be worse. Later, we went back to order another round. An older white bartender wearing glasses started serving us, and while he was preparing our drinks, he was also taking another group's order at the same time. I completely understood that since the bar was very busy. We ordered two Whiskey Sours and one of the bar's signature cucumber cocktails. The Whiskey Sours were served in margarita glasses without ice instead of traditional whiskey glasses. I assumed they had simply run out of the proper glassware because the bar was packed, so we didn't complain. The real problem started when it was time to pay. The bartender placed the payment terminal in front of the other group instead of us, and they accidentally paid for our order. Instead of acknowledging that it was his mistake, he immediately acted as if it was somehow our fault. We tried to resolve the situation calmly and even offered to pay the other group's bill and buy them an extra drink to make up for the price difference (their bill was about $31, while ours was around $45). When it came time for us to pay, I chose not to leave a tip because of the multiple mistakes that had already happened. At that point, the bartender completely lost his temper. In the middle of a packed bar, he raised his voice and started yelling at us, saying it was disrespectful not to tip him. He also complained that we had ordered drinks that weren't on the regular menu and that making them had taken him "so much time." As a bartender myself, I know exactly how long it takes to make a Whiskey Sour, and it's certainly not an unusually time-consuming cocktail. If preparing it had been a problem, he could have simply told us before taking our order. He continued shouting that the bar was extremely busy, called our behavior "disrespectful" and "f***ed up," and finally told us he would never serve us again. We were honestly shocked. This was the first time we've ever experienced someone reacting this aggressively simply because we chose not to leave a tip, especially after such poor service. I've worked in customer service for years, and I always tip when I receive good service. I would have had absolutely no problem leaving a generous tip if our experience had been pleasant. After that confrontation, we no longer felt comfortable staying in the bar, so we left immediately with a very negative impression. Looking back, I wish I had read the reviews beforehand. It seems that many of the negative reviews mention the exact same bartender. A truly disappointing experience.

Summer on a plate. - Carolina gold rice--never had this dish before, it's like shrimp n grits met porridge, rich snd hearty with plenty of shrimp flavor from the shrimp butter. - Mushroom-crusted pork chop--easily usurped my previous favorite pork chop from Chez Maggy in Denver, and is now my favorite pork chop :) - Ribeye with bone marrow--also one of the best steaks from a restaurant we've had. My husband's gotten to the point where he doesn't like ordering steaks (usually I'm the offender) because they're usually not very good even from "steakhouses", but this ribeye was great. Perfect crust, perfect med-rare cook, lots of flavor, tender and delicious. Bonus was the bone marrow I saved half of for my spoiled dog. - Sticky date pudding--I think I confused this with a sticky toffee pudding although it's very similar and equally tasty as heck. Don't skip this! Typically I have to be borderline blackmailed into eating all my leftovers but there was no arm-twisting for Dunsmoor's. Street parking unless you valet. There's a line by opening for walk-ins, and apparently a separate line for reservations on the other side of the door.

The focaccia with whipped ricotta is a must order. Even if you don't like ricotta, you will absolutely love this. The honey has such a rich and complex flavor, it is simply magnificent. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed the Agnolotti del Plin. It was sweet and light. I personally would recommend that you share this dish, because the flavor is so unique that I didn't need a lot of bites to feel satisfied. The highlight of the Sausage & Peppers pizza is the crust. It was airy and crunchy and so satisfying. (Next time, I'd order a pizza and keep the extra honey from the focaccia to drizzle on top!!) The hangar steak was a bit of a let down. It tasted a bit "game-y", which was very shocking. I will pass next time. The broccolini was good, but nothing worth raving about. If it were me, id stick with the appetizers, pasta, and pizza!!

It also low-key made me feel like I was dying back in New Orleans when I was sitting on the second floor balcony area overlooking the street. The service here is friendly and attentive as well. There's definitely a great sense of hospitality here. A small group of us came here in a week night so we were able to get seated pretty much right away. Well, at least after a little time that we were able to spend at the bar. I started off with a martini. It was delicious as well. And the bar is really nice. When we got seated, we were seated out on the balcony, which I really enjoyed. It felt like I was really dining on one of those balconies in New Orleans. We ordered couple of skewers - beef kofta and maitake. We also got and a couple starters/sides - the whipped feta, vadouvan cauliflower, and sticky Japanese sweet potato. And for a main, we got the chicken schnitzel. Everything was well presented and full of flavor. I don't think I disliked any of the dishes. Maybe I'm easy to please but seriously everything was really good and well prepared. I wanna go back and try some more mains like the branzino. Just a wonderful dining experience overall. And if you're looking for a nice dinner that won't break the bank and has a great vibe, this is the spot.

Parking can be a bit tricky--make sure to park in the H Mart parking lot and remember your license plate number since they'll validate it for you. If you park in a lot that gives you a ticket, you're in the wrong spot, so be sure to park in the correct building. Meat-wise, it was okay overall, but Korean BBQ places in general have gotten pretty pricey these days. The service was great, and they offer self-serve meat and food stations, which was convenient. Any soups or dishes not available in the self-serve area need to be ordered through the tablet. We noticed the meats ordered through the tablet were noticeably better in quality than the grab-and-go options, and we ended up ordering most of our meats that way. They mentioned that you get a free drink if you leave a review, which I was excited about at first, and it wasn't stated that it had to be a five-star review. I initially gave them a four-star review, but they insisted it had to be five stars and took away the free drink when it wasn't. It honestly felt close to being bribed for a five-star review--who takes a drink away after offering it? That experience has led me to lower my rating.
