Moonbowls delivers bold, unforgettable flavors with every bite--the kind of taste that makes you crave more before you've even finished your meal. Their menu is packed with vibrant, high-quality ingredients that are fresh, perfectly seasoned, and thoughtfully crafted into every bowl. From the Korean-style cauliflower to the juicy chicken, everything is bursting with deliciousness and made with care--you can truly taste the difference!

I went to moonbowls for yep's Be My Elite BOGO event. The pickup was a little confusing - you have to check in on an iPad and then they direct you to a locker. Got it no problem though. I had the Don't Cauliflower it a Comeback. The cauliflower was delicious and flavored perfectly. However, the rest of the bowl didn't have much flavor. I added the marinated cucumbers which added a little bit but I would definitely suggest getting an additional sauce. The sweet potato potstickers fell apart- they tasted fine flavor wise but could not keep it together. My friend got the Korean hot chicken bowl and thought it was good for a quick lunch. Not too much flavor without the sauce.

These Korean bowls are a great addition to the DC food scene! The concept of the restaurant is that it's fully take out--there's no in person dining. This leads to very fast turn around a of the food - it only took 15 minutes from ordering for the food to be delivered to my door! The portions were generous and the ingredients tasted high quality. The prices were very fair for the amount of food. I'll definitely add this to our takeout rotation!

Ordered from here today, firstly loved the way it was prepared. The food came in a vary nice bag. Food is really good if your looking for a great healthy spot. Will order again.

I ordered the beef bulgogi bowl with the "citrus-marinated kale." What a disappointment. As you can see in the picture, the base was just raw kale someone threw into the bowl. The avocado was so raw I could hardly chew it. The bulgogi and other toppings were not bad, but the overall dish was just inedible and clearly a product of cutting corners, both in terms of ingredient quality and preparation. Wouldn't recommend.

The host was super friendly and seated us right away. Our server, Wendy, was patient, attentive, and welcoming throughout the meal. For drinks, we ordered the Sparkling Rosé, Blck Pnk, and a beer. The Sparkling Rosé was phenomenal. The Blck Pnk was on the bitter side, which may be perfect if that's your preference, and I appreciated how thoughtfully crafted it was. The beer was ice cold and crisp. To start, we ordered the mandu and two orders of the chikin. For our mains, we had the pork rib & kimchi fried rice and the dolsot bibimbap. Everything was delicious. My only critique is that some of the dishes could have benefited from just a touch more salt to really make the flavors pop. The restaurant itself is small, quaint, and feels very homey. I loved the family-style setup and how easy it was to share dishes and move things around the table so everyone could try a little of everything. Overall, I would definitely recommend Anju to others and would happily return with a group of friends. It was a great dining experience with excellent food, friendly service, and a welcoming atmosphere.

However, when we walked in and saw only a couple of tables occupied, I had a feeling it might not live up to its appearance. Unfortunately, that feeling turned out to be justified once we looked at the menu and tasted the food. Overall Ratings Atmosphere - 4/5 Service - 3/5 Food - 1/5 Parking - Street Parking Atmosphere - The restaurant is modern, clean, and well maintained. The dining room is attractive and comfortable, and it feels much more upscale than your average Korean restaurant. Service - Service was adequate. Nothing stood out as particularly good or bad. The staff took our order, brought out the food, and checked on us occasionally. What We Ordered - -Galbi - At over $40, this was by far the most disappointing dish of the meal. I've had galbi at countless Korean restaurants, many of which charge under $30 while delivering significantly better flavor and quality. The seasoning was noticeably different from what I'm accustomed to, and not in a good way. For the price, it felt extremely underwhelming. -Pa Jeon - Just okay. It was a standard Korean pancake that didn't stand out in any particular way. -Tofu Stew - We ordered it mild, but it was surprisingly spicy and excessively salty. The saltiness overwhelmed most of the other flavors in the dish. -Korean Fried Chicken - Unfortunately, this suffered from the same issue. The chicken itself was decent, but it was far too salty, making it difficult to enjoy. Final Thoughts - The biggest issue for me was the value. Nearly every dish felt overpriced for the quality being served, and the excessive saltiness across multiple items made the meal even more disappointing. While the restaurant looks great and has a modern atmosphere, the food simply did not justify the prices. Considering how many excellent Korean restaurants I've been to over the years, this was one of the more disappointing experiences. Unfortunately, I wouldn't return.

I've been to Mandu a few times over the years and I'm sorry to say my most recent visit didn't hit…read morethe mark. I visited on a Friday around 6:30 PM and sat at the bar to catch the end of happy hour (Mon-Sun 5-7 PM). The bar was empty at the time, but a few other people showed up later. The dining room had a handful of tables occupied. In short, easy to get a seat. Drinks were good. I like the Somaek ($6) which is a small beer and a shot of soju. Beer ($7) was beer. We got some beef and pork mandu (dumplings) that were pretty good. 6 pieces for $10 on HH. We got two entrees, the Ddukbokgi ($28) and Yukgaejang ($29), which came with four banchan. Ddukbokgi is chewy rice cakes, gochujang, onion, and bulgogi. We thought it was only ok -- we've had better, including at Mandu in the past. Yukgaejang was a new dish for me. The menu described it as a "spicy beef stew, brisket, noodles, shiitake, bean sprouts, and egg." I expected the brisket to be sliced and recognizably brisket, but it was pulled -- it looked and tasted more like pulled pork. The dish also didn't have any noodles in it. I didn't like it. The banchan was seaweed, bean sprouts, kimchi, and cucumbers. It was okay. Service at the bar was fine.

For $45 per person, the all-you-can-eat experience feels like a really solid deal considering how many protein options and side dishes you get. They start you off with a variety of banchan (side dishes), including a salad with this super tasty dressing that had the perfect little spicy kick. For the BBQ, we kicked things off with the spicy bulgogi and butter garlic shrimp, while the others tried the pork belly (I don't eat pork). Later we ordered the steak, spicy brisket, and grilled squid, which were all delicious. The spicy brisket especially was a standout for me. The guys also ordered two rounds of fried dumplings that looked amazing, but since they contain pork, I had to sit those out. I'd love to see Chadol add a veggie dumpling option to the menu! As for the sides, the kimchi and cold glass noodles were both hits at our table, and of course we all added white rice. The "mashed potatoes" though? Definitely more like potato salad and unfortunately very bland. On the other hand, the cheese corn costs extra but is 1000% worth adding. For drinks, the guys enjoyed the Woody Old Fashioned while I had a mezcal margarita-style cocktail that was smoky and refreshing. We also ordered one of the chicken options but never received it and eventually just gave up on it. One of the coolest parts of the experience is the ordering system. Most meats are ordered directly from a machine at your table, and the food comes out quickly on this conveyor belt-style setup which was honestly so fun. Drinks and side dishes are ordered through the servers. The atmosphere was lively and energetic without feeling overwhelming. The restaurant is actually much larger inside than I expected, with a modern setup that works well for smaller groups. That said, I didn't really notice tables for larger parties, so I'm not sure how they accommodate groups bigger than 6 people. Service started off a little rough because our server wasn't very attentive, but after I called it out, he definitely stepped it up and things improved. Overall, Chadol was a really good experience and absolutely worth the price. The 1.5-hour seating limit makes sense too, both to keep things moving and give others a chance to enjoy the experience. I'd definitely go back!

Wooden privacy screens are set in between tables. (Perhaps because of Covid? Not sure.) This to me was really comfortable, didn't feel like I was stuck in a cattle car. I'm sure there's Korean BBQ here but we weren't at such a table. In fact it looked like grills had been removed from some tables and replaced with wooden covers. So nice to have that extra space because... Ordered bibimbap, bulgogi, steamed dumplings, etc. The extra side dishes I enjoy (kimchi, sprouts, etc.) were there as well. Ice tea, yadda yadda. Korean music was playing but it wasn't loud, on another screen by the kitchen I could see Family Guy. Again, not loud or intrusive. Didn't feel like they skimped on portions, there was plenty. Almost too much, wasn't sure I'd manage to finish the bulgogi but I did...mmm. Overall, this place is a nice break from other places.
