The quality has gone downhill. Avoid the wings! They were so tiny and there was no meat. The meat was mushy and slim. I don't know where they source their wings from but they were very small. Image a normal size wing from your favorite spot. Now imagine it at 25% of that size. Thats what you get for $12! The pizza quality was nothing spectacular. The quality is not as good as our visits in the past. The crust was thin and not as thick as before, the topping were just enough to say there were some. The value is just not there. I love a good dog-friendly patio! Ordered the small T-Guns which was super good and was more than enough pizza for one gal. I am not sure it is worth $15 but I did have a few leftovers. Got the 3.50$ marg and it tasted a little like a bottled mix (just not my favorite when I'm dining out). The servers were all super nice and I love the exposed dining on the patio, it's so stinking beautiful here it would be silly not to dine outdoors. We did end up having to wait a little bit to get seated but that was definitely because we had dogs with us and could only sit on their designated dog patio. They have lots of unique kind of pizzas. I ended up getting the Full Moon pizza without mushrooms. Was super delicious and the size was pretty big. Took half of it home for leftovers! For drink I tried the Lemon Blueberry Hard Seltzer. It was good although didn't taste very much like blueberry, just mainly of lemon. I definitely will come back here next time I'm in the area and need some pizza and a beer. In the decade plus I've eaten at Moonlights, everything I've ordered for delivery, or have eaten in house, has been top notched. From the pizzas, to the salads. The bread sticks are fantastic!!! Tonight was most definitely an aberration. The pizza I ordered was lukewarm. I didn't except a piping hot pizza, bc it was delivery, but maybe hotter than how it arrived, like in the past. My crispy bbq wings were most definitely crispy, but no bbq sauce, burnt on the bottom, and also lukewarm. Not very happy with this experience, mostly sad. This was the perfect combination after a day spent climbing Mt. Elbert. It's always fun to eat at a place where all of the employees look like they are having fun and really care about guests, which exuded from this place. Lots of outdoor seating, many locally brewed beers on tap, and interesting pizza combinations (or build your own). They were happy to make substitutions with no charge. Bonus for us; this is a completely nut-free restaurant. (Traveling with a person with nut allergies can be challenging). When ever in Salida this is a must stop. My brother introduced me to them years ago. Today I was 30 minutes away, however well worth the extra miles on the Harley. Had a High Side IPA and a Black IPA. Both amazing beers. Last time my wife and another couple shared a pint of everything on their menu. Not a bad beer on the menu. We also ordered a beer each for the grown ups: the Amber and the Black IPA. Both beers were tasty, but the Black IPA is unusual to find. The Budreaux was yummy with a good crust and fresh toppings. Very laid back place with a large patio area that has some shady spots. When I have visited, it has been really warm outside, and the interior of the restaurant is totally open to the patio. Many choices on the menu here besides their pizza. However, that is what I have had so far from their menu. I would like to go back and try some of their salads, sandwiches, and moonzones. My first visit, I ordered pizza for takeout. The toppings and cheese were plentiful. I ordered a small pizza with artichoke hearts, green olives, and pepperoni. Every bite was perfect. The crust was soft, and just a bit sweet, to make you crave another bite. I ordered takeout because most of the restaurants in town have no dog signs posted at their doors stating that dogs are not welcome on their patios. (which struck me as strange, as many shops were very dog friendly) Went back and sat on the outdoor patio which has a small dog-friendly area. We desperately wanted a good meal, without any hassles. Moonlight was fantastic. Everything about it. My wife ordered a margarita. I got a whiskey ginger. Both were tall glasses of well crafted cocktail. Super tasty. We each got a spinach salad and we shared a medium T Guns Pizza. This was more than enough to eat (the other half of the pizza was a great lunch the next day, just as good cold!). Another thing we really liked. The music wasn't overly loud. Stayed down the street camping and the host suggested this place. Went for lunch on Monday afternoon in July. There was a light crowd, so we were seated right outside. Server was nice and did a great job. Started off with a High Side! IPA that was refreshing. We all ordered the lunch special that is a slice of pizza. It was a large slice, but we got some wings and breadsticks with pesto as starters. The dough here is incredible, so breadsticks melt in your mouth. Got the garlic parmesan wings that I thought would be a dry rub, but was a liquid mess. I would try some other topping and they were a little small. My slice was with Anchovies and Prosciutto. I accidentally got anchovies instead of Artichoke hearts, but couldn't have been happier with the swap. These are the best anchovies I have ever had! Decided to get a MoonLite Cream Ale with one of the slices and it too was a smooth ale for after lunch. This is a great venue and right near the shopping and river of Salida. read more
