For 109.00 and 3 hour minimum if was a better rate than all others..when you called other movers advertised as cheaper it was " Oh that's our old rate"...bait and switch. 2 guys showed up right on time and got to work nonstop..handling my belongings as if they were 6 month old babies. My family is more than satisfied with our move in process with Moovme. It was our first time hiring movers, so I'm glad it was with this company. I asked for a quote on Yelp from different companies and this one had the best deal! Alex, the manager, responded very quickly and with all the general details. From then, I moved forward to locking in a date through phone call. Alex was very transparent, informative, and patient! Very professional, easy to work with. He elaborated more on the quote and the details, goes over everything we needed to know and what he needed to know from us, and sent us an email to triple make sure we, the customers, understood everything. Also there are NO hidden or surprise fees! I love it when businesses are true to what they say and don't surprise you with hidden fees. For our family's move, we just needed help moving our big pieces of furniture from our two story townhouse to our new two story apt. We didn't need help with moving our little pieces of furniture or help with packing anything for that day, just only the big stuff we couldn't handle, but I believe Moovme also provides boxes and such if you need it! The movers, Tom & Mikhail were very transparent as well with the prices and what they'll be doing, and efficient! The 3-man crew was great and hard working, and they showed up on time and did a good job with the move. However, there are two issues with the billing/fees: 1. When we stopped on the way, and after the fact, I was told there is a "double drive fee" that I didn't know about before, and they charged me for half an hour of the hourly rate, totaling $70. 2. The guys stopped on the way at a pharmacy to buy some pain killers, and that took them 45 mins more to arrive after I did at the new place. The total time was 6 hours, and they only agreed to deduct 15 mins, instead of 45 minutes. That's another $70 extra. So in total, they charged me for 1 full hour extra, a total of about $140, and the whole job cost me $900! They claim there are no extra or hidden fees, but I guess there are some! read more

Update to the situation... Alex contacted me out of the blue the other day and offered to compensate me for my inconvenience, loss of use, etc... It is quite rare these days for a business to make things right after a crappy situation and I commend him for this. The intent of my initial review was never to "slam" anyone but merely to share my experience. However, I felt it was necessary to add this update since he did go above and beyond after the fact. Too often we focus on the negative and it can overshadow the positive. Too often businesses don't give two shits about fucking over customers. Much respect to Alex for his gesture. It shows he cares about his customers and his business. For the record, these statements are my own and I was not asked to take down my review or add an update. Update 1/11: The owner went above and beyond to make things right. He offered me a full refund but I refused saying I thought they should still get paid because the job got done. He wouldn't take no.for an answer. Not only did I get a full refund, he hand delivered the money to my front door with a "Thank You" card and a Starbucks gift card. I've never had such exceptional customer service. We all know every business will have customers who get a negative experience. It's inevitable. But I've never seen a business go so far to make it right. I'll definitely use moovme next time I need help. And just in case anyone was wondering, I was never asked or incentivised to change my review. The manager never even mentioned it. Update 1/10: 3 Stars When booking I got excellent customer service. The manager even gave me a deal because the amount of work I needed was so minimal. If I could just rate the customer service it would be an easy 5 stars. After posting this review the manager reached out, apologized, and refunded my deposit. This more than makes up for the issues. I think theovers I got maybe just needed a bit more training, or were on the new side. Still 3 stars because you can't change the way things went, but after interacting with the manager I'd consider giving them another shot. Especially with the other positive reviews. The customer service is excellent and we all know that sometimes shit out of our control just happens. I'd like to give them the benefit of the doubt on this one. Original review 1/10: 2 stars I wasn't home when the move happened, my parents handled it for me while I was at work. Unfortunately, the movers were late, although the manager did call and was very apologetic. My parents said the two movers who came were very nice and polite but clearly inexperienced. My dad said the guys didn't even really know how to move things effectively. To top it all off, on the paperwork there was a place for someone to initial, saying we received a booklet. My mom refused to sign because we didn't get a booklet (I later learned that I got the booklet by email, which neither my mom nor I realized at the time). After pressuring my mom to sign despite not having the booklet, the mover forged my mother's initials when she wasn't looking. The job got done but was unprofessional. For context, I was moving a few peices of furniture and boxes in and out of a POD located in my driveway. No stairs, long walks, or packing necessary. Just before Christmas, I had an urgent need to move everything from one house to another. But I severely underestimated the scope of the move. Alex sent a large truck and four guys to do the job, and it quickly became apparent that they would need more people and several trips to do the job. To cut a long story short, the Moovme team of six people worked tirelessly for 36 hours non-stop to complete my move. I was amazed at how efficient they were and how they continued working day and night with no complaints. My dealings with Alex, the manager, were always positive -- he's a great communicator and takes customer service very seriously. He made sure I understood all of the ins and outs of the contract before I signed, and there were no hidden costs or surprises. I wish I could leave zero stars. They showed up 2 hours late without as much as a call. When the two guys arrived they did a walk through and decided the desk was too heavy for them and demanded a third guy. They left to go get their tools but instead sat in their truck and then drove off without letting me know. When I called their office they were only willing to return and move everything BUT the desk. Obviously at this point I didn't want to work with them given their demeanor. Don't waste your time!! I booked them over a month ago. Thank God I found a different moving company immediately who did an impeccable job and had no trouble moving the desk. Booking was easy and I was surprised they had an opening the same day at the end of the month. I guess someone canceled and I got lucky. My move was fairly easy except for the fridge that barely fit trough the doorway. We had to take out the door to make it in. Awesome fellas and awesome service. Worth the money and your time. I pretty much broke down what i needed to be done, if the day/time would work, and also if certain specifications would be a problem, surely it wasn't! He explained everything thoroughly, set the exact time and date i needed and there was absolutely no hiccups. Nick, Andrew and Ivan were the movers that came to get the job done, i was so pleased to see that everything got done with no issue, nothing was damaged, they did the job on time as they said they would. These guys are super fast. I had to move a 1 BR apartment. The whole thing went like a charm. From fast response time, when booking the appointment, to a very reasonable quote. Happy Rashahana. These nice movers moved me last weekend from Simi valley to Valencia. I was referred to Moovme by my good friend that used them few weeks back. Alex that works there is a no B S guy. He gave me straight up rate with no hidden fees. The crew arrived within the time they promised. 2 trucks and 6 guys were able to move my 4200 sq ft house in 2 days. They packed all my breakables and my kitchen so it doesn't break and all my clothes in just one day. One the second they i was moved to my new house with my piano and everything else. We are good friends with Kathy H. who left a five star review for this company, and she could not recommend them enough. We had a totally different experience with this company. They showed up 4 hours late. They said that they could not move us because we had too much stuff. They argued with us for 30 minutes and said they could move us only if we paid them an extra $150 per mover for four movers. That was in addition to the contracted rate of $250/hr. I called the office and left a message, and had my wife tell them to go home. Management called back and said they could do the job for what we originally agreed to. We were on a time crunch because we were having construction start the next day. When they said they could not do it, we had to call our contractor to tell him we would not be moved out of the house. He scrambled and got his crew on another job. When we called back to say they could move us it was too late. Our construction would be delayed a day. I was at work and my wife had to go with them to the storage unit. They wanted to be paid in cash, and when my wife started counting the money, Yuri, the one in charge grabbed the money out of her hand and put the money in piles to count. His piles had six $20 bills that he said was $100. She had to take the money back from him and count out the money. When she counted out the money exactly, Yuri demanded a tip. I have called the company to complain about five times hoping to talk to a manager, and they never called me back. There is much more I could write because they were so bad in so many ways. In fact this is the only review I have written for any company ever. This is probably the worst experience I have ever had with any company in my life. read more

Just finished up my move with this company and I couldn't be happier! To start, they were not just on time, they were 10 minutes early!! I was so impressed at their prompt arrival and had followed all directions I had given to them about parking. They then VERY efficiently wrapped and packaged all my belongings and loaded it up. I had a studio apartment that was very full and they got the load done in just over an hour. I was SOOO impressed with their care and efficiency. They then unloaded my things with the same care as when they had loaded it, and did that EVEN MORE efficiently. From start to finish this move was seamless and easy!
