We recently purchased a second condominium and as everyone knows, moving is the absolute worst! Not only did we have to move from our current condo to a larger condo that we just purchased, we also had to move my mom from her apartment to the condo we had previously lived in and we got it all done in one days time. Luckily, Moovme saved the day and did an Amazing job at getting two households moved literally back to back. My wife researched various moving companies on Yelp and we ultimately chose Moovme due to both their quality of reviews and fair pricing offered. We registered online and paid $50 deposit to reserve our move date. During the course of setting our move date & time, there was a hiccup with Escrow and we landed up changing our closing date that we previously had set up. I called Moovme and Alex was super accommodating in regards to changing our move date to a day and time that worked best for us. On move day, three gentlemen arrived with a moving truck and were ready to work. All 3 movers were super polite, respectful of our belongings and were an invaluable part to making our move a success. Pricing is by the hour and specific to certain days of the week (weekends are more). You save money by paying cash over card and of course by being prepared as much as you can so on move day the movers can work efficiently as possible. If you are looking to move local or even across town, check with Moovme to see if they can accommodate your next household move as it's totally worth the headache that traditionally comes with any type of move. We were planning on moving from the Valley to the city, and we found this company on Yelp. They had great reviews and when we called they were very patient and answered all of our questions. We agreed on a flat rate for the entire move which made us comfortable because we didn't have to keep looking at our watches to see how much the move was going to end up costing us. Dimitri and Mike did an excellent job! They showed up on time, were courteous and careful. They supplied us with wardrobe boxes to use during the move and when we needed an extra box, they called someone to bring it right away. They wrapped everything and supplied the plastic wrap at no additional charge. They took their time and we could not be happier with the result. My husband and I couldn't be more pleased with our moving experience using Moovme! We had to move fairly quickly due to a new job opportunity that would move us from Ventura to San Diego. My husband called for a quote, which was very reasonably priced for a 1 bedroom apartment move and before we knew it we had them booked. The guys arrived and quickly got to work packing and loading all of our belongings. Within a few hours they had everything loaded and were eager to get on the road. We followed and met up with them at our new apartment and they moved us in as swiftly as they packed us up. Unfortunately our sofa didn't fit in our new place, which we weren't expecting, but this wasn't the fault of our movers but moreso the apartment complex. However, they tried their best to make it work but it just wasn't going to work. The worst!!!! Let me start: 2 weeks ago we needed to move 30 miles, it was a move from a 2 bedroom apt to a house. They refused to take the couch (3 seater) claiming it didn't fit through the doors. They tried a couple of times and dented the wall! The couch was there so obviously it got in somehow, still refused to bring it out, my husband told them it has to be taken away, one of them was super rude, talking super close to my husband like wanting to fight him, the argument lasted close to 30 min, still they left the couch, they forgot a table, other miscellaneous and most importantly they forgot the fridge!! When they arrived home to unload I told them about the fridge their response: oh shit! That's it! No solutions offered! Still they made sure they charged me almost $1000! I'm attaching pictures as evidence! We had to fix the wall, and we got the couch out and brought it up here!! In summary: rude, forgot big items: couch and fridge, dented wall. Moving is already expensive, do yourself a favor and review well before hiring them. read more

I booked with Moovme 3.5 weeks ago for an unloading job tomorrow, and they just cancelled on me. Who does that?! I booked out way in advance, and there should be no need to cancel. The person I spoke with was helpful, and I know they had no control over the situation, but absolutely horrible service. They even confirmed with me 5 days ago and yesterday that the move was still on, and now they cancel. Ridiculous. Other reviews suggest they are great when they actually show up, and I'm annoyed I don't get to experience that! Leaving me in a pinch to find another moving company, when now all other local companies are booked up too. read more

I chose this company because when I asked them through yelp if they mounted televisions they said yes. I double and triple checked with them in writing that they do this, and sure enough when they showed up the morning of the move (45 minutes late) they told me that they do not mount televisions and that they "made a mistake." This mistake ended up costing me lots of money and time as I was on the phone trying to get a same day appointment for mounting a tv rather than moving my stuff. After speaking to management about their admitted mistake, management felt that since they were already not charging me a lot for the job, they didn't feel as if I deserved any discount at all. So if you decide to use this company be aware that they may decide to change their minds at the last minute. They will also keep it a secret until you are in as much trouble as possible. Now this would have been less bad if they 1) didn't make a false promise, 2) when they found out they could not do this to let me know ahead of time, 3) provide even some kind of remedy for the problem or even apologize. They did none of these. There are many other companies that will not bait and switch you like this. I would never use this company again, and I would never recommend them to anyone unless I really really really really didn't like this person. read more

With ongoing uncertainty during the Corona virus pandemic, protests and more, I decided to make the difficult decision to leave LA . I had made the decision to pack up and relocate back home to San Bernardino County. I made the inquiry over Yelp, the day prior to my move, and they responded very quickly and even accommodated a date & time that wasn't available on the yelp availability. Having moved all of this same furniture a couple years before, from the valley, I knew what to expect (time & cost-wise), but considering the longer distance and price difference, they were much faster and more gentle with my stuff, than my prior moving company. Side note, I have pretty bad OCD, and they were able to maneuver around me going room to room touching and rearranging stuff that they were moving. Really nice guys. read more

I cannot say enough about how efficient and professional the entire team at Moovme were for us on our move from L.A. to Palm Springs. If I could give them 10 STARS, I would!! We needed to move from our three-story townhouse in Echo Park to our new home in Palm Springs in the 106-degree desert heat in July so we looked around for moving companies and got quite a few estimates. The manager at Moovme got back to me immediately, asked the relevant questions, and gave us a very reasonable quote. Once we made the decision to go with them, we had some follow-up questions for them and they responded immediately. A week out from our move, we got a reminder email that reassured us that everything was on track, and we got another reminder the day before. They also called us in the morning to let us know the crew were on their way. The four-man team worked well together and worked quickly and were excellent, wrapping and loading everything carefully. They made good time driving out to Palm Springs and they did not put one ding on any of our walls or cause any scratches on any of our things. First and foremost, I want to point out how exceptional Chris has been with the hiccups that we experienced. I've worked with a handful of different moving companies, and I can say, by far, Chris provided the best customer service and that's important because he was communicative throughout the whole process. You'll see why later in my review. When calling, Chris was very thorough in explaining the details and asked basic questions. Once our call was done, I received a confirmation email as he had promised. On moving day, we were given a window period of when they'd come and they came right at the start of the window period. I was told they would contact me prior to them coming, but did not receive such a call or text. Also, I had saved them parking spots to park their truck on the sidewalk to cut down on time. I had also moved all the boxes and things that I could move by myself to be as efficient as possible and saved the big stuff for Mooveme. When the two movers came, one mover took inventory of what needed to be moved, and gave me an estimate of 5 hours, and that seemed fair as I had asked a few friends who had moved and how long it took them to get moved. So I agreed and signed the paperwork, and they started to do their things. They brought all their equipment i.e. plastic wrap, towels and etc, and they disassembled the bed and some other furniture. Unfortunately, this is when it started to get a little sticky. There estimated hours started to get longer, and it was concerning because one mover was constantly on his phone while the other mover was hustling to do the move. the 2-hour to load the van turned into 4.5 hours and this is when I got upset, and reached out to Chris and communicated the issues I had. He was very apologetic and emphasized that customer service is their utmost importance and asked what he could to do make it right to which I told him I wanted to only pay for the estimated hours, give or take an hour, to which he agreed. Additionally, he sent a third person, free of charge to help with the move who was amazing! This little dude was David from David and Goliath. He was short and skinny, but man he was FAST and STRONG. Thought we were good, but then noticed that the drawers from the dresser was a little misaligned. I opened the drawer and then it got stuck which was weird because it was recently purchased, and Living Spaces requires you to inspect the furniture before they formally deliver anything. And then when I opened and closed it again, the drawer came off the gliders on the side. One mistake they made was that they should have not taken the drawers out when moving as this dresser is not one from Ikea or any other furniture store where you can take the drawers out. It was designed to stay in and not to come out. Of the 6 drawers, 2 drawers were broken (the gilders on the sides). They broke because when examining the damage, it looked like someone tried to shove in the drawers vs taking the time to figure out how to get them back into the dresser. So I immediately notified Chris, and he said that he would send someone to look at the damages and attempt to fix it. If they couldn't fix it then he could provide some options to make this right. So he kept on telling me someone would come out on X day at X time, but that never happened. So finally, the third time, I expressed my frustration and asked for a half refund, to which he obliged and was very apologetic. So with all of this, like with any relationship in life it's not about the person being perfect, but the ones who stick by your side thru thick and thin, and this is what Chris and the Moovme team demonstrated. When they say their customer satisfaction is important to them, they REALLY mean it. After all this, I would use them for another move, but knowing what I know, I am going to ask for a third person and the "David" and the big dude who looked like "Thor". read more

It was my mistake for not reading through many of these reviews as my experience was similar to ones that had a bad moving experience. First, my move was scheduled for a Saturday. I was told the morning was not possible because of another move that day so I would be starting between 1-4PM with an estimate of 3-4 hours total. I only had furniture (about 9 pieces), no boxes to move. 1 piece they flagged as potentially a heavy item (exercise bike) that they said if it was over 200lbs would be an additional charge. It wasn't 200 lbs. The estimate was about 400 dollars...a reasonable amount. I informed them it would be stairs at both locations both up and down. And i informed of each piece of furniture. The day of the move came and 1PM...2Pm...3PM...I called to get an update...the contact wasn't able to tell me immediately what was happening, then around 4PM said that they would be delayed til 6PM. I should have taken it as a sign to stop and figure out something else, but I said ok...I asked what compensation I would get for it being much later than the window and they gave me 10% off. 6PM rolled around and they called to tell me the move was now canceled because it would be too late to arrive. They had an earlier move that took longer. They asked to reschedule to Sunday AM. So I said ok, but it's been a major inconvenience to me to be ready and not have my things, so I need 30 minutes warning as my belongings were at the new location. Sunday rolls around. They give me 15 minute heads up...not 30. So Now I have to rush over to meet them. When they get there they complain there is no place to park, even though there is a loading area. They say I have to pay any tickets (spoiler; there were none as it is a loading area regularly used). They come into the house and immediately said the couch is extra it's too big. It's a 3 seater normal couch. I moved it in originally it weighs less than more couches. I said that wasn't agreed upon though. They took 4 hours to load the 10 pieces of furniture. Just the loading. Admittedly there are stairs inside the unit, but that was explained when I received the quote. When halfway through the lead mover said it would be extra because of the number of stairs. This wasn't explained initially to me that after 15 steps it is extra. I would have been ok with that if it was explained but as it wasn't I wasn't comfortable being told midway through on the day after my intended move I would need to be charged more. I bought the movers lunch. They were clearly going over the time they said so I asked if they wanted pizza. They got to the apartment took a break and continued. After the move it was 8+ hours. This doubled the estimate and time they said it would take. I was being charged more than twice the quote. The mover then noted the 10% off the hours didn't account for the extra charges, those are separate. I told him I needed to speak to the company's owner because being charged double for a service the day after the plan seems like I am getting screwed. They at first said he wasn't in the office but I insisted that I get someone on the line. They said ok and I spoke to the person who made the move appointment and after a few rounds of her trying to say she explained things she apologized for NOT explaining the extra charges. She said the couch was too large, but I insisted it's a normal couch. I even told her there were two of them on the initial order (love seat and couch) so she admitted it shouldn't be an extra charge. Then I said I felt like the owner need to compensate me for the delay of a full day. It took a while but the owner said that the heavy item charge stands and that only one stair charge remained, but the discount is now 15% of the entire thing...And at that point I was exhausted and agreed. I wanted 20-25% but knew they weren't going to go there. So ultimately I paid ALOT more than I intended...and even tipped the guys because even though they took longer than they should have, they did the work. I just should have looked at these reviews and prepared myself, and got a moving truck myself. read more

Great customer service and professional movers! Dealing with them was smooth even when nothing (on my end) went smoothly. First off, I requested a quote while I was still in the process of purchasing a home. Even without a moving date, Alex gave me a very comprehensive quote. When I contacted him weeks later to schedule the move, he was very helpful. Of course home buying and moving are never perfect and I had to reschedule the move: 3 times!!! Alex never gave me a hard time about being so fickle. He understood that things like this happen and got me rescheduled quickly every single time. When moving day finally happened, the movers saw what they were up against and immediately said they will have to come back with a 4th person, and they had to start in the morning because it wouldn't be done in an afternoon. I like how quickly they assessed the situation and made that judgment call. It speaks to how well they know their trade. I am very confident in them! So again, another reschedule (which I was very happy to do since we had a lot of boxes I wanted to get out of their way). They were so great about it that I just felt taken care of in the middle of being displaced, tired, and quite frankly, overwhelmed. A few days later, when the REAL moving day rolled around, my family said the movers were so great! They knew exactly what needed to be done, and they got it done! I called Alex from Moovme about a week before I needed to move out last month and he was friendly and professional from the start. Within 30 minutes of our phone call he sent me an email with all the details of the move, I confirmed, and I gave him a $50 deposit over the phone. He sent 3 super nice guys to move me out of a 2 bed 2 bath unit and into another one of similar size across town. Tom was the lead mover/driver, and he was also very professional. The movers were quiet, polite, and diligent workers. I would highly recommend working with Moovme, here are some additional details in bullet form: -Tom the driver texted me before he arrived and sent me his location, which I appreciated. -None of the guys said they "couldn't do something" and they were all down to help figure out ways to make things happen. My new unit has a narrow stairway and my mattress didn't fit, so they were open to finding an alternative means to getting that mattress in my room and didn't resist or complain. -The move was quick and the price was reasonable. We had Max and the team move our 5 bedroom house from Calabasas to new house in Sherman oaks earlier this March. My wife and mother in law were shocked by their professionalism and care. This was my first time using Moovme and I was so glad I did. From the beginning Alex was very prompt with replying to all my emails and questions. From Alex to the crew themselves, everyone is professional, polite, and respectful or your space, your belongings and your neighbors. It was a rocky start from a timing perspective. But this could happen to anyone. There are way to many things that are unknown until the actual move, that can contribute to moves being longer and/ or even shorter than anticipated. I was booked for an afternoon shift and their morning session ran long so by the time they got to me, though they were willing to still work, it was to late for us to get into my storage unit. I'm pretty sure if time was not an issue ( the storage closing hours) they would have still be willing to continue even after working a full 8 hours in 100+ weather!. The team was very apologetic and was willing to work something out. Not only did they accommodate me first thing the next morning, they offered to bring extra help at no charge and give me a discount for the inconvenience. The move itself was very very smooth. Team came prepared and ready. They wrapped all my furniture nice and safe and worked very efficient. Other than bathroom breaks and water breaks, you never saw them standing around wasting time. They constantly checking to ensure they are doing things to your liking and if you need them to do anything different. A three person crew was able to move me out of my 2 bedroom 2 story town home and into a storage unit in 6 hours. I'm giving this review 4 stars because one of my couches was put on it's side, and part of the maneuvering process included dragging it a couple of feet and it did scuff through the shrink wrap and blanket down to the leather. It was very small, but nonetheless it's there. I'm just glad it was at the foot of the couch. Since I'm in a storage unit I am unable to 100% confirm that everything is intact and no other damages were sustained to my furniture, and everything else is free from damage. I won't know until a month or two when we move again. I will update my review after round 2!! That being said, once I have a move in date, I will be sure to rehire Moovme. I'd give them zero stars if I could. They cancelled on us the day of and wouldn't explain why, even though I told them my lease was ending that day and I couldn't wait until the next day. They offered to do it for free but brought the WORST movers to do the job. They kept dropping and spilling things and NOT cleaning up after themselves. They dismantled my bed and lost the screws somehow but couldn't stay to solve the problem because they had another job. They promised to come back later in the day and fix it but guess who didn't answer my calls? The company is no longer answering my calls and even tried to charge me for the free move. DO NOT USE THIS MOVING COMPANY. I'm going to try to report them to the BBB to see what they can do. read more

TLDR; don't book. They don't wear masks or gloves and sent fewer movers than we asked for and needed. They don't take safety seriously. I would not book this mover during or after the pandemic. Poor communication - we had to call THEM to confirm. Did not deliver the number of movers we booked - sent less and only told us at the last minute. Of 3 movers they sent, one wore a mask, the other only slid it on if they saw us watching, the third didn't have one after we insisted so he took a paper towel and stuck it around his ears. We eventually gave him a mask we purchased. They don't put plastic down on the carpets and they didnt pad the elevators as requested. I regret booking them and wanted them out so quickly I didn't realize they left a heavy bookcase in the wrong room. This mover was overbooked and clearly sent us a third party mover - Ceasar Movers. It's a pattern, not a mistake. Save your money and get a personal referral. read more

We recently used this company for a move from LA to OC and were so happy with our experience. The movers were early and helped figure out the best parking solution in our complex that didn't have great parking. They were very thoughtful in wrapping our items to ensure that all of our furniture and valuables were safe. They were efficient and even helped box some last minute items. They did two different drop offs for us one at a storage facility and one at our new home for no extra charge. They also set up all the furniture where we wanted it at the new house. My parents house got flooded the other day. I had to load all my furniture into the containers that I ordered . After talking to Alex he had sent three guys that were really friendly and they loaded 2 16 feet containers in no time. After two weeks I replaced all my floors and fixed up the house. Our experience: We booked our move with mooveme 2 days before we needed them. They had a cancellation and fit us in. They arrived within their time window with a truck and all the moving supplies. It was nice to use their free wardrobe boxes. Every piece of furniture was wrapped to prevent scuffing in the truck. I felt like they listened carefully to where we wanted everything to go. They disassembled our beds with their own tools. They were very polite and respectful. We spoiled them with takeout food when we arrived at our new house and found out there was no electricity. They didn't complain or gripe about moving in the dark, they just got the job done. We are moving again in 3 months and I will definitely use them.
