Kept seeing the IG influencers posting about the banh mi sandwiches here and have been wanting to compare the crispy pork to banh mi hoa phat. Decided to swing by before work to grab sandwiches for myself along with a few coworkers. I was there slightly after they opened and while I do appreciate the freshly baked bread, it took them 20 mins to fulfill my order (15 banh mis). Of the 3 I tried, I really enjoyed the Korean short rib as it was really flavorful. In addition to the normal cucumber and pickled carrots/radish, they included kimchi cucumbers. The only thing I'd change would be how big the slices of the short rib as some pieces were hard to bite through. The wifey enjoyed her grilled chicken and the crispy pork was good. They were pretty generous with the amount of protein they put into the sandwich with the exception of the chicken. Comparing the bread between Banh Mi Hoa Phat, the bread here has less of a crunch and is a bit more like regular bread than a baguette. What I do miss is the garlic soy sauce that Banh Mi Hoa Phat includes with all of their sandwiches. Don't get me wrong, both places offer great sandwiches but the sauce really makes a difference in adding a ton of umami. Will be back soon to try their rice dishes as they looked tasty.
Super swift and friendly staff came during the last hour as my nail techs said this spot just opened and it's super clean and good! They were not wrong everything was delicious as a bahn no hunter and lover It's provably my new fave spot! The springs rolls were also delicious. I didn't try any drinks as I wasn't to grab sugar cane at another spot. But omg don't sleep go grab a dac biet here now! Love how nicely everything is packaged and they purposely separate all veggies so your sandwich doesn't get soggy!
I really wanted to like this place and it was to replace going to Banh Mi Hòa Phát. Sadly it was mid for me. I ordered on a Sunday. It wasn't too busy. A few orders in front of me. I was looking up at the menu and the person behind the glass handed me a menu. The glass partition felt like I was in line at the bank. Kinda cold. The place is smaller than I expected. The food was ok. It tasted ok, not bad but not the best. The bread was soft and baked fresh. You could tell. The xui mai was very peppery but I liked it. The heo was crispy. The milk tea was so below average. This made me really sad. $7 for a milk tea (no toppings) and it's tasted so bland. Buy it from some where else. Even better wait for 7 leaves to open. I order: Banh mi heo quay Banh mi xui mai Milk tea Total: $30.91 I should have read the lower reviews. As a person with anxiety the system to pay SUCKS. I tap my card and am promoted with 3 options of tip. I felt so pressured that I chose the LOWEST option without knowing it was 20%. The option to not tip is not shown clearly. So for someone who was already feeling anxious trying a new place, being put in front of this small screen with basically only 3 options is a death sentence. I won't be coming back. My advice if you try this place bring cash. I'm not the first person swindled by their 3 options to tip. Yes I read the response with there is an option not to tip, but it's hard to read a 2 inch screen.

I specifically asked for extra jalapeños on my sandwiches, but instead I was charged $5 for two very small containers of chili oil that I never ordered or asked for. I was surprised to see the charge on my bill when I got home. If I request an extra ingredient, I expect to receive what I asked for--not be charged for something I never requested. The $5 charge for two small containers of chili oil felt unreasonable and should have been explained or confirmed with me before adding it to the bill. Customers should be informed before being charged for items they did not order.
After an amazing Yelp event at Bread Spot in Rosemead, I had to return for more 5 star banh mi especially with crispy roasted pork. My eldest daughter and I got here really early shortly after they opened on a Saturday morning. We got 3 sandwiches (Bread Spot Special, Crispy Roasted Pork, Grilled Chicken) and two drinks (Vietnamese Iced Coffee with ice, Green Thai Tea with no ice) for take-out. We didn't eat here as we were on our way to the 2026 Ronald McDonald Walk For Kids event at Brookside Park in Pasadena. All 3 banh mi were very tasty. A whole truck load of meats in every bite (figuratively speaking). Roasted pork was crispy and flavorful. Chicken was well marinated and tender. Special meats complemented one another very nicely. Veggies were fresh and crisp. Well done! As for the drinks, my Green Thai Tea had great flavor and taste. It's a keeper. However, the Vietnamese Iced Coffee did not have the same caliber of flavor and taste. It was quite bland for a Vietnamese Iced Coffee, hence, it's not a keeper unfortunately. Lady staff was super friendly and nice. Ambiance was cool and welcoming. Restroom was amazingly clean and comfortable. Parking is in the back of the restaurant or street parking at the front or side are available, too. I have been back one more time for take-out. I look forward to dining in next time. Came for Yelp event last time and had to come back again for their roasted pork banh mi. Learned that the owners of golden delight are part of this spot as well. Designs feel similar to it. They ran out of banh mi right when I got there but was told it was 15 mins for a new batch. The roasted pork banh mi came with crispy pork and an amazing butter/mayo sauce. Bread was fluffy inside and slight crispy outside. The dac bite was also solid with the pate and Vietnamese ham. Brought some banh mi back but due to their enclosed plastic containers, the banh mi I brought home were a bit softer.
Hands down my favorite banh mi spot in the SGV! As their namesake boasts, their bread is INCREDIBLE. Soft and fluffy on the inside and perfectly crispy on the outside. My two favorite banh mis are their roasted pork sandwich and their bread spot special, but you truly can't go wrong with any of their banh mis. My friend got their beef sizzling plate, and honestly, if I would be tempted to try it next time if I wasn't SO IN LOVE with their sandwiches lol. The packaging for the sandwiches is also really well done, so getting it to-go is super convenient, but I actually enjoy dining in. The store is so aesthetic and clean (which isn't always the case for the fire banh mi spots lmao), and enjoying it fresh really hits. Parking can be a little tricky, if you can't find street parking, we usually park in the lot behind the building with an entrance on Earle St.
Dare I say these might be one of my favorite spring rolls beside summer roll! So refreshing and really well filled with fresh ingredients. The spring rolls were so good! Also the banh mi had almost like a truffle flavor that was so good with the crispy baguette. Place is new so so clean and cute and employees were efficient!

The meat was perfectly cooked and sweetened. I loved their fresh hot baked bread. With all the fixings, the sandwich made it even more delicious. I loved my refreshing fruity drink, Tropical Fruit Tea. The service was great and ambiance is modern and beautiful dining area. Parking is in the back or you can use the side street. I will definitely be back again.
A surprisingly spacious banh mi sandwich shop on a readily accessible busy street corner--street parking by the residences behind the building. Since I couldn't make it to the Yelp event hosted here last week, I came yesterday for lunch after washing my car. Very clean, bright, and inviting inside. Lots of two-person tables a a couple 4-person ones. Tons of natural lighting from the windows on two sides. Kien who helped me up front was friendly and professional. When I asked about what flavor the tropical fruit tea was, he said it was one of his favorites with pieces of mango and strawberry in it. My go-to banh mi sandwich is grilled so I ordered it for comparison. I'll definitely come back to try one of the 14 other offerings (Korean bbq short rib!). Once you order, they call out your order number when it's ready. The packaging to go is so neat and tidy, with all the cucumbers, cilantro and jalapeños wrapped up, separately from the pickled radish and carrots, separately from the bread with meat and mayo. A little cup of hot sweet chili sauce on the side was a nice touch! Their French bread gave an audible crunch with every bite (I could hear the crunch from my nearest neighbor 3 tables away!) the grilled chicken was well marinated dark meat, very tender, no fatty parts. Let me just say there was nothing left but crumbs by the end of my satisfying delicious lunch! I took my tropical fruit tea to go since I had a ways to drive home. Super yummy with tiny pieces of watermelon, strawberries, mango and other fruits! Not too sweet. Highly recommend! I'll be back even though it's a drive!
I tried 3 different banh mi and honestly I love the bread here it's soooo fluffy and soft. My fave has to be the pork belly banh mi. Their pork belly is so flavorful and the soft fluffy bread makes it so yummy. Another banh mi I really enjoyed was the Korean bbq meat one! That was flavor overload. I've also got spring rolls and their spring rolls are filled up! The eggrolls are also very crunchy and delicious well. I def recommend people to come and try their pork belly sandwich!! This place also is very clean and modern looking. I feel it would be a great place for people to come hang talk and even study. The workers are super nice as well. It's nice when they are nice and patient when you're trying to decide what to get. I love the recommendations they provide as well.
Bread Spot is a somewhat new banh-mi spot that has a modern take on a Vietnamese sandwich shop. While other places just make your sandwich and wrap it in parchment or butcher paper, Bread Spot puts them in a clear plastic container, labels it and keeps the vegetables separately in small bags. This allows each person to customize to their own liking. This is a great idea for those who are new to banh-mi. We tried their crispy pork sandwich and also the meatloaf. Both taste fresh and a decent size. The crispy skin gave my sandwich nice texture, but some pieces of the pork had very little flavor when eaten by itself. The inside is clean and bright. Tables are placed throughout but most are small, for 2. We heard about their delicious cookies that's available on weekends only, but when we arrived before noon, they were sold out due to a special event. So we ended up having sandwiches instead. The prices are a bit higher compared to other banh mi places but I expect you're also paying for the presentation and ambiance. Still, they seem to be very popular as there was a steady flow of customers when we were there.
The Bread Spot offers a calm ambience with a clean and tranquil environment. The menu is quite varied, so there is a banh mi (sandwich), spring roll, and drink for everyone. We ordered the following for a total of $36: -Thit Nuong (grilled pork) with egg (+ $2) -Crispy Roasted Pork -Mango Passionfruit Tea -Jasmine Milk Tea The bread is good and the sandwich is large.

amazing authentic viet spot!!! as a viet who grew up in westminster , I have been on the search for good banh mi and strong viet coffee ever since moving to the SGV. the coffee here was strong and dark, while the bread was crispy and light! similar to what I had in westminster / saigon. I have had da vien, my tho, etc etc but they aren't as good anymore in my opinion :( went here on a whim on a sunday morning and it was pretty empty! I hope they blow up! read more
Solid Vietnamese spot with higher quality food and drinks. Parking is streetside or in the structure lot of the building behind the store. Their Bahn Mi are delicious. Got their crispy pork one and it's very tender and flavorful. The packaging is good and great if you take it out, with everything on the side as well to keep things extra crispy not soggy. They also have a nice spicy/sweet sauce on the side which was delicious. Their coffee was also solid. Strong and flavorful as desired with any Vietnamese coffee. I feel the higher price is justified by the higher quality, just can't really compare to the mom and pop old school shops since you get what you pay for. Wait can be a little longer as it is made fresh, but worth it. Overall very happy with this place. Great spot to try read more

Background On Visit: After hearing great things about this shop, I decided to patronize the shop. Credit Card: They're accepted. There's a $10 minimum purchase though. Price Point: Banh mi sandwiches cost are fairly consistent with other places (Mr.Baguette, Lee's Sandwiches, Banh Mi Hoa Phat). Just can't believe most banh mi sandwiches charge above $8 now. It'll be nice if they offered combo options that came with a vietnamese coffee. Restroom: Available to be used. Location/Parking: Located on the NE corner of Garvey and Earle Ave.. Parking can be found in the shared parking structure in the back, Earle Ave., or along Garvey. Ambiance/Decor: Neat ambiance with modern furnishings. Even the restroom is very nice and clean. Service: Service was good. Phuong was friendly, attentive, and offered some great suggestions. Food came out at a decent time. Banh Mi Of Choice: I decided to go with the crispy pork. The sandwich consisted of mayo, roasted pork, brown sauce, shredded onions, chili sate, pickled veggies, cucumber, jalapenos, and cilantro. When I received my order, it was served on a wooden tray. The packaging was pretty nice. The pickled veggies, cucumber, jalapenos, and cilantro and chili sate was packaged separately from the sandwich. It also came with a single use floss pick. I thought that was genius, because eating sandwiches like that does leave food remnants stuck between your teeth that is quite annoying. Thought the sandwich was quite good. Bread was soft, ingredients were fresh, and the crispy pork was moist, tender and the skin was crunchy. Liked the texture. Bread Spot For Thought: I wouldn't mind coming back to try their spring rolls and their bread spot special. read more
4 stars A couple months ago, I was surprised to hear that yet another banh mi shop opened up. Surprised because there is so much competition in the area already. From May Tho to Lee's to Tip Top to Saigon 168, there seems to be an infinite number banh mi options to choose from. But, my curiosity brought me here anyways and I'm glad I stopped by! These were the items I picked up for my family: Banh Mi Thit Nuong ($8.50): I was surprised they added a sauce to it and my family and I were pleasantly surprised at how well everything tasted. The pork and sauce had a nice sweet, savory, mildly spicy kick to it. The pickled vegetables was on the sweet side when compared to other shops, but it just tasted very good with the pork. I think it's a different twist on the typical grilled pork that I'm used to. 4.4/5 stars Banh Mi Heo Quay ($8.99): the famous crispy roasted pork sandwich that everyone who is a fan of pork belly should try once. I thought this sandwich was delicious. They packed this sandwich full of meat. The pork pieces were savory without being over salty. There was a little bit of sauce on it, but I have no idea what kind of sauce. I just knew it balanced out the savory pork. The texture is amazing because it's crunchy, chewy, and sticky. This sandwich is best eaten as soon as you get it b/c the crunch doesn't hold up very well. My airfryer helped to revive the crispy pork when we were ready to eat it. The pickled vegetables, cucumber, cilantro, and butter all played a pivotal role in making this sandwich amazing. 4.5/5 stars Goi Cuon ($8.99): We were stunned by how big the rolls were! The lettuce leaves and shrimp were super fresh. They wrapped the spring rolls tight enough so that nothing fell out while dipping in the peanut sauce. The sambal sauce they provided also went well with the dipping sauce. I appreciated that the sliced pork was very lean, however, it was quite rough texturally. Luckily, this is why I have a dog. Checked out this new modern Vietnamese sandwich spot I've been wanting to try. My go-to has always been the Ba Le Sandwich Shop in Alhambra. I tried the savory sticky rice, garlic butter fried chicken wings, soursop tea, crispy roasted pork sandwich, and the Bread Spot Special. The garlic butter wings and sticky rice were decent--solid but nothing too memorable. The soursop tea was interesting; it was my first time trying it, and I don't usually see it on menus. Refreshing and slightly tangy--I liked it. The crispy pork sandwich was good, but the Bread Spot Special was definitely the highlight for me. The mix of meats worked really well together and had more flavor overall. One thing I did notice is that everything felt cleaner and more neatly packaged compared to most banh mi spots. Prices are a bit higher though--about $2-3 more than what I'm used to. Overall, a solid spot to try, especially if you're looking for a slightly more modern take on Vietnamese sandwiches. read more

Came back after the Yelp event! Service was super quick as it was close to closing time. Friendly staff. Got the Special Milk Tea - my favorite from the Yelp event. It was pretty good; however, the tea flavor wasn't as strong as it was when I tried it at the event. I didn't ask if I could adjust the ice, so it came with half a cup full of ice which was too much. Not sure if they do sweetness adjustments, but it was fine in that aspect. Love the ambiance. Very spacious and clean inside. Would come back for their food and would try their Vietnamese coffee next time. read more
I was excited to try Bread Spot, especially their crispy pork sandwiches given all the great reviews. Unfortunately, the bread wasn't as crispy or toasty as I prefer, and the pork itself was a bit underwhelming in flavor. It felt like it was missing that extra sauce and crunch that places like Banh Mi Hoa Phat do so well. It was also a bit fattier than I like. I also ordered a grilled chicken sandwich to try. Overall, both were decent, but they didn't quite live up to the hype, especially compared to Banh Mi Hoa Phat. I do appreciate that they have their own parking structure in the back, and the interior is clean with plenty of seating. I got my order to go and ate it about 20 minutes later, so that might have affected the texture. Maybe adding ventilation holes in their takeout packaging could help keep the bread crispy. read more
Was in the neighborhood looking for a new place to eat and found this new Banh Mi spot. There is a parking structure behind the business and there are some street parking up front. Beautiful interior. Very nice and clean inside. I believe they just opened a month or so ago. Plenty of tables to enjoy your foods and drinks. The staffs were chill and friendly. We got the followings: - Nem Rolls - Grilled Chicken Banh Mi - Soursop Tea - Tropical Fruit Tea Both the Nem Rolls and Grilled Chicken Banh Mi were so delicious! We love to support newly opened businesses. Some of their food such as spring rolls, grilled pork and short ribs sandwiches are amazing. However they really left bad tastes during our last visit. We had ordered a drink with no ice so that we can drink it the next day instead (ice will change taste of the drink). They gave us literally less than 2/3 of a cup (notice the cup is bigger on the top part). Could've given a heads up when we ordered--let us decide if we want to order even if we have to pay extra. That drink was about $8. To the owner: how much do you really save on that 1/3 cup drink at the expense of losing loyal customers?! You just lost our business as there are plenty of banh mi places in this area. read more
I've been wanting to try the banh mi here since I found out about it last month. What drew me was the crispy pork banh mi. There is a parking lot behind the restaurant. I came on a Thursday morning around 7:45 am. Upon entering, I really loved how bright and modern the space looks! It was nice and clean inside. They had a good amount of things on their menu, from bread to rice, to spring rolls, and dessert drinks too. The employees were super friendly and I didn't wait longer than 10 mins for my food to come out. What I ordered: Crispy Pork Banh Mi (5/5) : Loved loved loved! The pork skin was crispy, the bread buttery soft, and it was packed with flavor. Don't forget to add the little red sauce provided. I Iike how they put the veggies aside, so you can add to your liking. Bread Spot Special: (3/5): I usually like banh mi dac biet, cause it has all the mixed meats. I thought this one was ok, I appreciated the generous amount of pate but there was something in the meat that tasted a little off to me. Matcha Latte: (5/5) I really enjoyed this. The Bread Spot is the latest in the ever growing list of solid banh mi spots in the SGV. It might even be too fancy compared to the typical no frills place. Crispy Roasted Pork: The bread lives up to the name. It is crisp with an exterior that shatters like creme brulee while remaining fluffy inside. The chunks of roasted pork are really juicy and tender. Each bite has an extra crispy, satisfyingly crackling crunch. There is good flavor throughout from the rich pate and creamy mayo. There are two ziploc baggies packed with cucumbers, cilantro, carrots, daikon, and chili peppers. These are some of the freshest and crunchiest veggies around where you can actually taste the vegetable flavors. You'll appreciate the triple crunch effect of all its ingredients. I also enjoyed the tub of chili sauce. It adds some sweet and garlicky flavor. Parking: I think there may have been a parking garage in the side street, but there is so much street parking. read more
I've been told that a new Vietnamese sandwich place opened in Rosemead recently. It's called Bread Spot, located on Garvey and at the corner of Earle Ave. They just had a Grand Opening this month on March 1st. I was greeted by the worker when I entered. The worker was friendly. The place looks very modern, clean, bright, and spacious. I got their Bread Spot Special sandwich (Dac Biet) ($8.99), Crispy Roasted Pork sandwich ($8.99), and one order of Spring rolls ($8.99). The packaging was also very nice and secure. Their Banh Mi (Vietnamese sandwich) was crunchy but not as soft as other places. My hubby liked their Special Sandwich. We also liked that they separated the veggies and sauce on the side. For the Crispy Roasted Pork Sandwich, the taste was not bad, but I've had better at the Banh Mi Hoa Phat in Monterey Park. It's because I prefer the Crispy roasted pork to be more crispy. Their roasted pork skin was not crispy enough, and the meat was less fatty. They also put a lot of mayo inside. We waited about 10-15 minutes for our order. Our favorite was the Vietnamese Spring rolls. The rolls were huge, and the shrimp were big. They were delicious. Bread Spot Special Sandwich - 4 stars Crispy Roasted Pork Sandwich - 4 stars Spring rolls - 5 stars Overall, 4.5 stars. We will try their other items on the menu next time. read more

Got the Grilled Pork Sandwich. Very enjoyable. The baguette had a nice soft texture. The pork was flavorful. The toppings for the sandwich were in 2 plastic bags so assembly was required. Service was very friendly and prompt. Parking is available in their building structure. read more

Visited Bread Spot awhile ago and ordered their grilled pork. Grilled pork is my go-to for banh mi and wanted to see how they do it here. Service was pretty good and attentive. I got took it to go, but they have ample seating since this used to be a cafe. It was boxed up with vegetables in a seperate baggie. It also came with peanuts and sambal sauce. The bread is pretty good. It's soft and won't assault the roof of your mouth. I believe they make their bread in-house so it's fresh. The protein was just okay; it's on the sweeter side and not much lemongrass flavor going on. The sambal didn't really do much for it, but they don't skimp on it here. I can see myself returning, but probably to try their heo quay banh mi instead. read more
Bread lives up to the name of the store. They make their bread in house. The bread was the best I've had in the area so far. We got the chicken sandwich and the meat was well marinated and did not taste super sweet or salty. Would get again. We also got the sea salt coffee, less sweet, which was good. A little expensive for the size though. They just opened so they're probably still working through things. We came on a Sunday and it was busy inside. There was one cashier and the glass they had separating the counter made it hard to hear. It was already loud inside so it made it difficult to order and hear the cashier repeat back. read more

We tried Bread Spot today after reading about it on Facebook food group. As soon as we entered, a fresh pan of bread was coming out of the oven. The smell was so delicious. I tried its crispy pork sandwich, which was disappointing. It tasted a little too sweet and hardly crispy. Just not the flavor for me. The shrimp spring rolls were good with great taste. I also got the Thai green tea, which was tasty too. My friend ordered the #1 Special with more veggies and a different sauce. The menu is quite extensive for a sandwich shop, which includes fried chicken wings, egg rolls and spring rolls. Their Milk Tea Bucket has so much filling, it's more like a dessert. Satisfactory experience, customer service is good, food needs improvement. They are still newly opened and I'm sure they will get better. No issue with parking. read more

On a Sunday afternoon in February, my sister and I came here to try new place. I was able to park in the building parking lot. It's a soft opening so they are working on things. We ordered egg rolls and roast pork sandwich. The AC seem weak while I sit and wait for our food. There are some tables with bright windows. The egg roll was nicely fried but it was kinda dry. Maybe they cooked it too long or it needs a dipping sauce. The roast pork sandwich was tasty with good bread roll. Some pieces of crusty skin was hard to chew which suppose to be the best part. If wax place in a plastic container with separate bag of cilantro and pieces of cucumbers. Also snags bag of onions and chili sauce. 3 stars on lack of AC, crusty roast pork skin was hard to chew which suppose egg roll was dry read more

The restaurant is super clean inside and we were greeted with a menu. I love the variety of items they have on their menu from drinks to food. The options for banh mi sandwiches they have all look super yummy and intriguing. My all time favorite is the thit nuong so I of course ordered that. Theyre banh mi's are a perfect size. I wish they had more tea options. I got the mango passion and it was super good, they use real fruit. The coffee was dark and tastes like authentic vietnamese coffee. The cashier also was kind enough to answer all of my questions. They have street parking in the front and additional parking in the rear part of the building. I wish the banh mi was already all assembled together but they separated the veggies, most likely because I got it to go read more
Based on a friend's recommendation, I tried this place. Wow, the crispy pork sandwich was so good, and the Thai green tea was tasty too. The store is clean and provides a comfortable vibe. Parking is easy to find and the staff provided excellent service. read more
Currently in soft opening! Until the end of January, if you order $10 or more you get a free 12 oz Vietnamese coffee. I ordered a banh mi and egg roll. That fulfilled the $10 minimum. When I entered, I was greeted by the worker behind the counter and he handed me a menu. They have banh mi, appetizers, spring rolls, egg rolls and drinks. I liked the crispy pork banh mi. The bread was good. The pork was tender and the skin had a nice crisp to it. They gave you a sauce and chili sauce. Both were good. Right now, they only sell egg rolls individually. But I hope they eventually sell them as packs. The inside is clean, bright, and there is plenty of seating. I'll be back once they have their grand opening and of course to try other items on their menu. read more

I work right by this new spot and my coworkers said it was worth a try, and they were absolutely right! I tried the roast pork banh mi and it was delicious - the skin was crispy and the meat was tender and not too fatty. It was a medium sized banh mi, not too much but filling enough. Only thing is that they didn't put the pickled veggies in the sandwich, which I would prefer. But great new spot overall! read more
Maybe 3.5 rounded down because I couldn't get over the cost of one mediocre regular sized egg roll being $1.50! I really enjoyed the crispy pork sandwich. It was a solid sandwich. I'd say I had better bread but everything put together was delicious. The roast pork pieces were just right and the sauce was a nice touch. The spring rolls were ordinary and expected. For some reason the rice paper was already ripping a part. The taste didn't justify the price point. I switched out the peanut sauce for the fish sauce which was delish! The Vietnamese coffee included with the promo was basic. The place is new and everything is clean inside. They try to advertise the sandwiches as a bit more upscale so I guess they are catering to a whole other crowd. I definitely would come back again for the sandwich. read more
