Stopped here for a quick breakfast, they had a nice selection of breakfast sandwiches and the chai latte was so good i got a second one to take with me. I saw this place when l was driving me to drugstore. A cute shack that has all organic coffee and a large selection to choose from. We also ordered 2 breakfast bagels which could be shared cause it is pretty large bagels then you add egg bacon etc. the interior has local artist displayed and a cut back patio with garden. read more

Easy to get to from Morro Heights houses. Right on a round about, which is neat, but the scuzzy rentals in the back are a bit scary. Lock your car. Early there was only one person, but she was very polite and efficient. The coffee was really good, and they have homemade pastries. The cold coffee was good, too. We had a Cappucino, a Mocca and I also got a two shot espresso. To all european fellows longing for a good espresso, this place makes it as good as it gets here. Compared to the drip coffee in the motel, this was perfect. The breakfast looked great. Don't go to Starbucks, go to this place. read more

I'm surprised there is only one review for this place. This is my favorite coffee shop in town, I come here several times a week. The gals that run the place, along with the ones that work there are so nice..great attitude..and frankly, they are easy on the eyes!! :) All the baked goods are home made right in the shop. There are several different kinds of coffees available everyday. There is also a nice outdoor seating area. If only they had room to add some tables inside, sometimes there is a shortage of seating when it is crowded. There is also Wi-Fi, so bring your laptop. Edited on April 6 2010: I am very disappointed in how this business has gone down hill over the last year. Many times I have gone there in the morning only to find the place closed for no apparent reason. One time I was there at 9:00 am, and they were going to have to close at 9:30, so I left, no point in getting settled in only to have to leave. The service and hours are very erratic, it seems like the owners of this business have lost interest, and it shows. I rarely come here anymore, I have to highly recommend Top Dog coffee house instead. read more

Terrible coffee. I ordered a white mocha and it tasted like warm sweet milk. No coffee taste at all!! The guy working the machine/counter had NO personality and very unfriendly. My mom order a cherry smoothie. The smoothie was so watery and almost warm. Needless to say our visit was the last. read more

Stopped in here after seeing it was the only place open for sweets on a Friday night. I had an orange float which consisted of 2 scoops of ice cream in a clear plastic cup, and a can of Sunkist orange soda to pour on top, all for a whopping $7.00!! I also grabbed a red velvet cupcake that tasted like it had been sitting in the display case for the better of part of a week. My girlfriend ordered 2 scoops of ice cream to bring our grand total to almost $19!! Not impressed. read more

Stopped by for coffee and a breakfast sandwich today . . . as it is 10 am on Sunday. The menu board was gone and when I asked about getting a breakfast sandwich I was told that they did not have any of the ingredients because no one had ordered them! WOW! I live in Morro Bay and actually did my own taste test of all our coffee shops and found the best coffee at this little gem. The pastries are a bit of heaven. Fresh made cookies, cinnamon rolls and danish make a great addition to a wonderful cup of coffee. Service is always friendly and polite. Family owned by local folks. read more

I've passed this place a thousand times and the other day I finally decided to check it out. I go inside and wait to order, the cashier is organizing the back or something and clearly sees me but ignores me, and I have to wait about 5 minutes before she takes my order. She didn't even acknowledge me with a simple "hello" or "I'll be with you in just a minute" while I wait, which would've made quite a difference tbh. She also seemed very annoyed, even though I was the only person ordering and I wasn't at all rude. I thought maybe she was just having an off day, it happens, but then another yelp review mentioned her attitude as well so I guess that's just her thing. I ordered a coconut brownie bar thing white mocha blended drink, she asked if I wanted whipped cream on the drink and I said no thanks. Then she makes the drink, and puts whipped cream on it, which isn't that big a deal so I didn't say anything (perhaps I was subconsciously inspired by the baristas silence?).. the drink wasn't that good honestly. It was a blended drink but didn't have the consistency of one, no ice in it, just cold liquid which was a bit of a letdown because i'm a white girl and I need that frappuchinno fix. The coconut brownie thing though was SO GOOD. Out of this world. The ambiance was nice too. read more

Ashley malmen built and started the morro bay coffee company in 2005, she sold it in 2010, she was killed on april 13, 2012. She was not wearing her seat belt when the truck rolled on hwy 1 near the welcome to morro bay sign, and died at the scene. Great treats, good mint tea, lower than average prices, clean, spacious, comfortable seating inside and out (a rarity in coffee houses), and ample parking! However, I don't know who was working when the other reviewers described the service as friendly, because each time I've gone there, I've felt very unwelcome, at least at first. Once you engage the staff in conversation, they are quite friendly. They just really need to work on being more welcoming. That's a critical part of customer service, especially in a coffee house. It only takes a second to make eye contact, put on a smile (even if it's a fake one), and say, "Hi! How are you? What can I get for you today?" A customer certainly should not be ignored until you reluctantly decide to acknowledge their presence. I hope they improve in this area because this could be a great place with everything else they have going for them. Another thing that could really help their business is to make it more accessible. Perhaps the exit only driveway could be made an entrance as well. read more
