A fantastic little coffee shop right off of highway 1 when you come into Morro Bay. Highly recommend if you want some delicious pastries and coffee.

Fair prices especially in this economy.

Wonderful large coffee , dark roast and smooth. Personal service for a small local business.

Orders a hot coffee and it had a bunch of curdled milk floating in it

Very nice coffee shop but need to work a little to find it. Up the hill and almost to the freeway, this little coffee shop is a really nice place to grab a cup of coffee and enjoy each other's company. The coffee is good the staff are super nice and the shop is cozy.

Cozy as it gets for a neighborhood coffee spot. Located at the Morro Bay traffic circle, with on site parking. Get outta your car and give the local guy a try, no drive thru here. All desserts and pastries make on the premisses and their good too Stop for a Shot, best espresso on the hill. foodguy-martin

It was a deluge this morning. Finding a coffee shop that was open, had indoor seating, had wifi, and had good pastries was surprisingly hard to achieve this morning. Oh, yes, there were lots of dark clouds and surprisingly water cloudbursts during this search. Morro Bay Coffee Co. was an oasis in a (literal) storm for us. They have several cozy small nooks for people to park and relax while having the warm selection of tasty beverages. A couple of Americano cups and a peach and an apple turnover later, we're happily enjoying the coffee while checking for weather forecasts on the road. (travel day for us). Checking messages when you're away for the holidays is a necessary thing. Thank goodness that Morro Bay Coffee Co. was open and ready to serve warm, delicious coffee for us today. Thank you! (Did I mention that they are dog-friendly, too? They are!)

This is there phone number, call for great breakfast burritos!

Great burritos, very tasty! The coffee, pastries and service are excellent! It's been a neighborhood staple for years and under new ownership has gotten even better....

Mediocre. We got 5 drinks, all lacking in flavor. We won't return. Try top dog instead, they never disappoint.

A place on the highway and away from the waterfront. There isn't much seating, nor was there much of a food selection to go with the coffee.

They are so sweet! We visited Morro Bay for the first time and I was so pleased with the food, we went back 3 more times!!! Everything is super fresh and the flavors were great! Coffee was delicious!! I highly recommend and I will tell you, now we have a regular place to go when we visit because WE WILL BE BACK!! We had the breakfast croissant sandwiches, the lattes, the fresh homemade soups (wow) with the fresh baguette!! So delicious! I literally took a dozen little red velvet cake pops and little cakes home with me... just delicious!! It gets packed in there but the service is great and well worth it!

We were lucky enough to snag the last almond croissant, and what a treat it was. The exterior had a sweet, delicate crunch, and with each bite, rich almond filling oozed out for the perfect balance of texture and flavor. It wasn't overloaded with powdered sugar, and the sweetness was just right--indulgent without being overwhelming. I also tried a slice of the salmon and leek quiche. It was light and fluffy while still feeling substantial and satisfying. The combination of savory salmon and sweet leek worked beautifully together. Whether you're starting your morning or looking for a midday pick-me-up, the quiche is a must-try. I was excited to try the house made mango-infused black iced tea, but unfortunately, there was nothing mango flavored about it That said, this bakery is still well worth a visit. Between the pastries and quiche, it is an easy stop to recommend when you're in Morro Bay.

I purchased the pain au levain, in lieu of a baguette, for $12. The price is pretty steep for a loaf, but seems to be the going rate for these smaller boutique bake shops. The bread itself was warm when I purchased it, which was awesome. Enjoyed it with my coffee, but did find it to be a little doughy on the inside. Good flavor, but not something I would come back for. I'd rate it a solid 3.5. I also purchased the chocolate chip cookies. I think I completely went brain dead when I bought these, because I did read they were gluten-free and vegan, but still bought the pack of 6. Man, they looked like chocolate chip cookies, but didn't taste like chocolate to me, at all. For a regular chocolate chip cookie lover, it's a 1 star. For someone looking for a gluten-free and vegan cookie, this could be a winner. Maybe.

Hello! You had me at absolutely charming!…read more First of all, I've never been to Morro Bay and it was probably the only torrential rainy day in a Century. Being from Seattle, I'm nothing but used to the rain. But this little visit to the bakery warmed my heart. As we drove to the bakery we stopped at Morro Rock, , so I could actually see the amazing 23 million year old monolith. So fun to see the surfers out there! As we started driving into a neighborhood to get to the basket, I was like, "What? Am I going to Gramma's house?" And then, we pull into the freaking cutest little beach house with a garden that made the bleakest day make you feel like sunshine and rainbows. Upon entry, the baked spices and smells blow your olfactories! Yummm! We felt the young lady was very overwhelmed with all the baking!! And maybe our dumbfoundedness was overwhelming. Or maybe I was overwhelmed with so many amazing options and goodies!! She had just pulled something out of the oven. We ordered lemon curd and raspberry tarts, brownies, curry croissants, ham and cheese croissant, french onion soup croissant and some other cookie that someone snuck in on the sly. Sadly, there was no seating there, so we had to take everything to go. Luckily we were only 10 min away. Everything was epically delicious. Especially the flaky curry croissants!!!! They really know how to do it!!! If we had more time we would try their bread. I can't imagine what this place is like when it's peak season but it must be crazy! It is a must visit!!!

Theres also a really good restaurant there, Frankies n' Lolas. See my review. Anyways I'm waiting to pick up a ride, she bumped me to a later pick up time, twice...err. So I went into the Smoothies place to check it out, oh and write a review as I wait. Cozy as it gets with the friendly staff, actually looked like they enjoy the job and human interactions. I asked for a Mango something smoothie but no pineapple, be creative. The place has a good variety of drinks and edibles, sandwiches, salads, avocado toast, and on and on. If you don't see it they would probably make it for you. Now granted I was the only order being made at this moment and my smoothie was delivered to me as I sat at the bistro table out front. I was surprised how flavorful the smoothie was, I don't know why I thought that but it did taste good, a bit pricy. I'm good with pricy and this was backed up with quality ingredients and stellar service. Ah...yes and supporting local business is good for everyone Thanks, I'll see you again! Foodguy-Martin
