Visited on Sat. 4/20/2024 Morro Grill does it again, today was a lovely day and we got to sit outside and enjoy the sun and chill breeze. The staff was ever so kind and very attentive - they were checking in on us and made sure we were comfortable as I had visited with my partner and friends + a baby. OKAY THE FOOD: Did I come back for the caesar trip tip salad? yes, absolutely. Did I finish the salad? NOPE. I had to take the rest of my salad home since we ordered the pepperjack crisps for appetizers (which were a solid 7.5/10 imo but my friend LOVES it). My boyfriend got his usual tri tip sandwich with sweet potato fries- which was DELICIOUS as always- and VERY filling. Probably gonna be back again soon LOL. read more

Been back a few time and decided to come support for sure now that we are in the off season. Glad to see them just after their 9 month anniversary still doing well. The staff is always friendly and the owner (I believe) was rocking a Steelers overall which was cool and great to see at a sports bar. Can't beat the friendly service and the great location. The food is consistently good here. We try to try at least one new thing each time. This last time I ordered the Grilled Jalapeno Burger with a side salad. We got the mini corn dogs for our daughter and my wife got the Southern Bowl with pulled pork. She was pretty stoked on the pulled pork on power bowl, since it isn't something you see often as an option. The pork was tender, shredded well, and sauced just right, it blended in so well with the power bowl flavors with beans, corn and other veggies. The mini corn dogs are perfect snack size for kids, and the "parent tax". I don't often get a side salad with a burger or sandwich, but I am glad I did. The cherry tomatoes and radishes were such a pleasant surprise, lots of flavor and texture all while being healthy, a smart way to balance out a burger. The Grilled Jalapeno Burger itself was super good. Just a perfect balance with the cream cheese and the jalapenos, spicy enough to make you want to keep eating it and not regret it. Super fresh burger and bun, the chipotle mayo made it a bit messy, but no complaints here. Morro Grill will continue to be one of our go to spots in town. read more

Everyone who works there is super nice and the food is delicious. My husband lives the pulled pork nachos and I usually get a bowl of some sort. It is priced right, the portion fills you up and it is very tasty. Have been multiple times and every server has been amazing and easy to talk to! My family and I have gotten multiple menu items and everything had been delicious. The chicken strips are for sure some of the best I've ever had and the greek bowl with grilled chicken has been my favorite so far. You can sit inside or outside. Awful. Fries were stone cold. They were Out of all hamburgers. Subbed for Nachos. Nachos had no sauce and barely anything on it. Plate of $19 chips. Asked why they had half of the description and they said also out of cheese sauce and other ingredients. Then why not tell me??? I finally gave this place a try and was very disappointed. Update......We did speak to them. They did apologize and recognized they shouldn't have served it. We got a refund and good customer service from Luis. If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. The service was absolutely terrible. We waited 30 minutes for our food and drink order to be taken and then on top of it all someone in our party ordered a drink that never even touched our tables and was sitting in the window for at least 20 minutes being watered down. When we went to ask our server Paloma S to kindly remove it off our tab because we never even drank it she escalated and proceeded to cuss at us. She told us that we needed to "chill the fuck out" and was basically screaming in our faces to calm down when we were in my opinion very calm. I'm EXTREMELY upset with this service an beleive something should be done because no server should ever talk to a customer that way even when something is wrong. I have served at many places and never in my life have ever seen this kind of service let alone received it as a customer. read more

Well to be truthful we didn't eat there. But we tried. We arrived at 7:30. Seating was extremely limited. (Maybe 6 tables and 4 "bar" seats) We arrived as the last 2 indoor tables were just seated. Outside seating wasn't possible because it was overcast and cold and all those tables and chairs were stacked up. Anyway we arrived and they said it's probably be another 30 minutes and kitchen was going to close by 8pm. So they recommended us to go to another restaurant. Confusing thing was their sign said closing time was 9pm. FYI We were the only Chicanos there. Don't know if that had anything to do with it. But who knows. They should have waiting area or seating for it at least. That's what made it more unpleasant to even try to stay. We couldn't just stand and wait in the middle of their little room, while everyone staring at us. Oh well their loss. We tip well. read more

This place is fantastic. I'm a Morro Bay local for my whole life and there's very few places I would come back to again and again. It's hard to stray from the menu when I know what I like but every time I do I am met with the same happy surprise of excellent food. I don't like their garlic fries too much cause they usually feel kind of chewy but they have nice flavor and a generous portion of garlic. The tater tots that come with most staples, however, are fantastic. They have a house made buffalo sauce that is great. Today I tried the fried jalapeno bites and they were SO. GOOD. I couldn't even dip them in the ranch. They smoke their meat, the ribs are fantastic, the steak nachos are delicious. And their burgers are perfectly cooked every time. Very friendly staff that will remember your order if you frequent the place, despite always filling seats. Lucy and the gentleman in the charmander hat (maybe Joe? I forget his name) are excellent! They often have live music which is really cool, albeit sometimes a bit loud if you're sitting close. But they support musicians and I'm all for that. Fairly small beer selection but they have a bar. I've seen people get some pretty awesome looking bloody Mary's, too. I almost don't want to give the place a glowing review because I want to get a seat every time I go, but they deserve the support and they deserve success. Go check out the Morro Grill! read more

We ordered the nachos, tri-tip sandwich with tots, loaded clam chowder and a HUGE kids chicken sandwich. Huge freshly made portions. I am NOT a seafood person at all, and i tried the chowder and it was tasty. Loved the nachos with their homemade cheese sauce. Not your typical nacho cheese. I'd give a 4.5 star rating if I could. Walk upstairs and you'll find a small inside dining area with a large outdoor patio, though they have to allow 50% of the seats for noncustomers. We had the MG Bowl with grilled chicken and they were accommodating to exclude white rice. Nice to have a healthier alternative to fried food! The clam chowder was excellent!! The beer battered mahi with sweet potato fries was also great. Service was friendly and couldn't have been better! Though the inside is more like a neighborhood pub, they have one of the best views of Morro Rock around. Highly recommended! read more

There's a bar to hang out at with 3-large TV's to watch sports. They have an outdoor patio too, which has a beautiful view of Morro rock. Service was amazing..friendly, attentive, and most of all considerate and polite. Now the for the food...husband had the burger with bacon and it was very good!
