I recently came here for a birthday celebration and we had a very decent dinner. We made a reservation ahead of time. Walking in the restaurant, I see a sign that indicated that the dress code is business casual but I didn't see a lot of patrons following this. We received butter and bread to start and we were all very pleased with the bread! Perfect texture and right out the oven. Next, we ordered drinks and when they did hit the table, the waiter went around taking our appetizer and final course orders. I noticed that my brother ordered a Tomahawk steak for the table and while he was ordering, the server didn't ask for the temperature. I was a few seats down but I mentioned the temperature "medium rare". Don't think he heard me though so I'm thinking perhaps it was said and I missed it because no way a server would take a steak order without asking how you would like it cooked. Well wrong. The steak came out well done and we were not happy. We didn't complain though because it felt like it was an oversight on our end as well. Other items we ordered that night were delicious. I loved the raw oysters. I also loved the lobster bisque soup. My favorite side that we ordered were the truffle fries. We had a few hiccups but the manager came over to apologize and to let us know that they were going to take it off our bill before we had a chance to say anything. Great customer service. When everyone got their individual appetizers, one person didn't. When everyone got their sides, two were missing. So these 3 items were comped. We also enjoyed the dessert. We had no idea how huge the sundae was going to be! We decided to do Thanksgiving at Morton's in Boca. They were running behind so it took about 20 minutes after our reservation time to get seated. The place looks great. It has a classic steakhouse vibe with an upscale ambiance and exceptional service, probably the best service I've ever had at a steakhouse actually. The servers were on point all evening. The highlight of the menu is, of course, the steak. I went with the 12 ounce filet. It was a bit overcooked for the medium I asked for and frankly I didn't love the taste or texture. It was drastically under seasoned and just a bit too tough for a $64 filet. As for sides, we got the Wyagu meatballs, the spinach and mushroom sautee, and the grilled asparagus. They were all good, but like the main, way under seasoned. And the portion for the vegetables was miniscule, I think we got like 7 pieces of asparagus for $14 or something which didn't seem reasonable. For dessert we got the key lime pie, the hot chocolate cake, and the berries and whipped cream. I got the coffee as well. Of the desserts, I only tried the berries and they were fresh. The coffee was average, but not horrible. I also heard good things about the cake and pie. Overall, our dinner at Morton's was lackluster and I paid $400 for it, so that was a little disappointing. The steak was the biggest letdown of all and that's the main reason I was coming in. Ruth's Chris is far better, I'll go there next time. Just about 3 stars, wouldn't go back. read more

1 Star -- Morton's Boca Raton: A Masterclass in How Not to Cook a Steak Let me start by saying I didn't think ordering a medium rare steak at a steakhouse would turn into a multi-round endurance event, but Morton's Boca Raton proved me wrong in spectacular fashion. In a party of 30, four of us sitting at my table ordered steak. The three people sitting right next to me? Perfectly cooked. Mine? The kitchen treated my medium rare like a Choose-Your-Own-Adventure novel. Attempt #1: Well done to the max Attempt #2: The Color Purple Attempt #3: I think it actually got colder. Attempt #4: A new cut of steak I call "Why?". Attempt #5: At this point the chef was just freestyling. By attempt number five, I wasn't even mad anymore, I was impressed. I had witnessed the full spectrum of steak doneness, like a live cooking demo titled "How Far From Medium Rare Can We Get?" The servers were fantastic, absolute angels sprinting through chaos with the optimism of people who still believe the chef might eventually get it right. But the chef? Medium rare might as well have been a riddle wrapped in a mystery stuffed inside a blindfold. And then... the manager. If there were awards for being tone-deaf, this man would be in the Hall of Fame. After nearly an hour of botched attempts, he came out with the fifth steak, without even glancing at it to confirm what planet of doneness it belonged to. Just confidently delivered it like a toddler presenting their latest crayon drawing: proud, hopeful, and wildly off the mark. Meanwhile, my side dishes had been on the table so long they were about to apply for Social Security. After 60 minutes of culinary disappointment, I left without eating a main course. Not because I didn't want to, because Morton's simply could not produce a medium rare steak if their lives depended on it. If you're planning a big group dinner (30+) and want everyone leaving satisfied, Morton's Boca Raton is not your place. I wish I could give a better review for a place that's supposed to be a high end steak restaurant. Unfortunately I can't. I want to start by saying the service was very good. The young lady that was taking care of us had a great personality, was super nice and very attentive. Outside of that nothing else was any good. The restaurant inside is very nice looking but that's about all I can say for the restaurant. The food was very very disappointing. My wife got the dinner special for $85. This came with an appetizer option, so she had the onion soup, a 6 ounce fillet which she had with the lobster tail. You can pick one side or upgraded for $19 more to the lobster mac & cheese and then got the crème brûlée for dessert. I went with crab meat, appetizer, followed by a 16 ounce bone in pork chop, and the onion rings as a side. As I've indicated in my other reviews, I don't send my food back unless it's absolutely inedible. We just pay our check and try to warn others not to waste their money. The onion soup that my wife got was a horrible presentation with a lump of half cooked cheese on top of a piece of soggy bread being held up in a cup by onions with almost no broth. It wasn't even hot. It was just warm. Not good. As for her steak and lobster it came out to the temperature she ordered, but I will say that a 6 ounce fillet was dry and had absolutely no flavor but I guess when you say dry aged meat, they got the dry part right. She legitimately left about 3 ounces of a 6 ounce steak behind. The lobster tail it came with was dry and rubbery and that too she left a piece of. As far as the charge for the mac & cheese, it is shameful that they charge that much money and call it lobster mac & cheese because they put a half of a lobster claw cut in half on top of it. My crab meat appetizer was OK. The crab was not sweet. Unfortunately like everything else in this meal, it was pretty tasteless. The dipping sauce that it came with was the only reason I didn't send that back. As far as my pork chop goes, I left more than half of it behind as it was so dry on the outside that you could barely cut through it. It had little to no flavor. Thank God I got I cooked medium. If I had asked for it to be cooked any more than that, I wouldn't have been able to chew it. The onion rings, which they claim to be thick cut, were nothing more than bagged frozen fried processed onion rings. To be very honest, our last experience with Morton, I said I would never go out there again. My wife was given a gift card so we gave it another shot. If this meal was coming out of my pocket, I absolutely would've sent most of it back. Even the crème brûlée, which had a beautiful presentation was just mushy custard which we left most of that behind as well too. I will definitely say that this chain of restaurants has lost everything that supposed to come with a high-end steakhouse, except for the prices. As I said about the one in Fort Lauderdale, Morton is just an overpriced sizzler. I will be very, very honest and saying that I will never go back to this restaurant and if I ever get a gift card again, I'm just gonna regift it to somebody else. There are so many great high-end steakhouses, or even mid-level steakhouses. Why would anybody continue to waste their money going to a place like this. read more

From the moment we walked in it was a 5 star experience! We were seated immediately and our server Lexi was absolutely amazing from start to finish. The restaurant was lovely, clean, warm and inviting. She advised us what to order and it was all delicious we ordered 3 ribeyes and a delicious sea-bass. Our wedge blue cheese salad with crunchy bacon and pickled red onions were flavorful as can be. Then perfectly timed out meals arrived with the smell of intoxicating flavors. We once again went to Morton's for an occasion. We asked for a certain table because of noise condition and they called night before to confirm reservation and table. When we got there mgr said they had an event in private room and our table was being used by someone from event. She sat us across room ant a noisy table and we said we couldn't stay. She then sat at next table to one we wanted. The table she gave to event was one person on computer. He then left and two ladies came out to eat quickly and went back to event. Morton's food was not good which was the cherry on top. Their quality has gone down but we kept trying it because it's relatively quiet. It's never full. Been going to this Mortons for 25 years. We ate there tonight and honestly could not believe how far this placed has declined. We had 3 appetizers and they were decent. All 3 of us had steaks and they were literally terrible. Took me back to the days of Sizzler and Beefsteak Charlies. My sons ribeye looked like something you can buy at Aldis for $5. We had an event luncheon at this Morton's in Boca and it was an easy place to find and to park. Located in the Shops of Boca Center, the restaurant has a nice storefront, making it easy to find. The special menu included the following: - Caesar salad. Very well done, not too much dressing with nice crispy croutons. - 6oz Filet Mignon. I ordered it medium rare and I came medium. The flavor of the steak was just OK, not as flavorful not well prepared as other premium steakhouse. It came with nice green beans and mashed potatoes. The former was nicely done, but the potatoes were just average at best. - Strawberrry Cheesecake. It was very dense and the flavor of the actual cheesecake was not great either. If you're not a big meat-eater - the chicken Christopher was absolutely delicious! Highly recommend. Ambiance- 4/5. Mortons gives an old school steakhouse/romantic vibe. It's dark and relative quiet. We had an early dinner and the restaurant was empty. You definitely want to come here looking a little more dressed up than your average restaurant. Service- 5/5. Our waiter was fantastic. Phenomenal steak house, as a steak lover and meat lover. This place has been in my eyes for a while, while on business trip I got the chance to give it a try. When I entered the restaurant it was fairly empty (I'm sure because of the hurricane that was coming) the owner I believe (John was his name) welcome me right in. I decided to try their Labor Day special with was appetizer, entree and dessert. It was $69 total and of course you can add on other items to complement the mean (butter, sides, upgrades) To start off the appetizer selection was okay in my opinion. But I preferred the warm bread that was served and fresh and just delicious. Couldn't get enough. I then had the potato scallops with the 6oz filet which was amazing the scallops were very cheesy and packed with flavor. I did grab the upgrade truffle butter which made the steak packed with more flavors that really made me smile. The crème brûlée was the next item which was beyond my expectations, I've had crème brûlée just about anywhere I have gone.... But never have I ever had it to such perfection. Where the egg was it over powering the dish and where it was the perfect amount of crème. I finished the entire thing and did not want to leave anything behind. It was just that good. My server Marie was very nice and attentive. The inside of the restaurant was dark and spacious I observed they had two event rooms as well. I will definitely be back. read more

Made a big mistake coming here for a milestone anniversary dinner. It was our first time here and we did tell them. We were seated at a table in the middle of the restaurant which we didn't care for-- it was like we had a spot light on us and it was to be a romantic anniversary dinner. We saw other couples in booths that looked cozy for us we had to try to move our chairs close. We looked beyond that with anticipation to a wonderful meal. It didn't happen. They couldn't get the steak right 3x. A steak to be cooked at medium? How hard can that be? Gave up and left hungry with a to go bag of an appetizer. No pics. Frustrated. Was a very special night ruined by a meal that was quite honestly below "average". My husband's steak wasn't even that good for the $$$$. We were offered a comp redo meal to call ahead and let them know but the entire experience was so bad that we have had no desire to go back and for us that's rare! For appetizers, we started with the Prosciutto wrapped mozzarella and the bacon steak. The mozzarella was very creamy and delicious! I Next was the Filet with a side of creamed spinach and garlic mash. The spinach was excellent. Filet was nicely seasoned and perfectly cooked. For dessert, we tried the Cheesecake with Sea Salted Caramel! This was the star of the show. Overall, very good experience but I prefer more of an upbeat steakhouse! read more

I was looking forward to going to this great steakhouse. We made reservations for 7:30 PM however we weren't sat down until closer to 8 PM. What's the point of reservations if the restaurant doesn't stick to the time? Once we were seated, we were greeted five minutes later by our waiter with water and bread. The bread was extremely hard and we had to ask for another fresh bread. We ordered the filet mignon medium rare with mashed potatoes and cream spinach we also ordered a Caesar salad and the lobster bisque. The lobster came out cold and we had to ask them to warm it. After it was warmed, it was actually pretty delicious with chunks of lobster. The Caesar salad was your basic Caesar salad nothing special. The filet mignon was cooked pretty well. The cream spinach was average and the mashed potatoes were very very bland. Overall, I was disappointed in the level of service that we received as well as the quality of the food. We had a reservation for 6 ppl for dinner at 6:45, Dec.26,2025 and had the most terrible dining experience. We started off with 2 soggy caesar salads. We ordered 3 different steaks and one was sent out wrong so 3 people were eating and 3 people watched. They rushed out the last steak and it arrived at the table raw.. cold inside and basically inedible. I had to send back the overcooked baked potato 3 times and they could not get that right so I gave up. The manager came over, took the steak and attempted to have it re-cooked. We tried to eat it. We couldn't wait to leave so we paid our bill and left. Later that night we did receive a call apologizing but it that really enough?? They should credit us for our entire meal. Comparing all the upscale steakhouses in the Boca Raton area, Morton's is at the bottom of the list. Went on Mother's Day, and they pack you in like sardines. Our waiter literally had to walk around half of the restaurant in order to get to the other side of the table, there was just no room to move, for the guests and waiters. The complimentary Onion Bread they give you is good, but not great for sharing considering it comes it a giant loaf, as opposed to slices/individual pieces. Also, the waiter claims they put the order in for it so it comes out fresh, but every the "fresh" bread just comes out luke warm, so I don't really buy how fresh it is. Really disappointed with the Porterhouse; not much flavor to the meat at all, and very tough. The Matchstick Parmesan and Truffle Fries were by far the most embarrassing dish, how does a place like this serve this? They didn't taste fresh at all, couldn't taste any truffle oil on them, and they really lacked any substance. You could line up every fast food locations french fries, and they would lap the fries here. Sour Cream Mashed Potatoes were just so bland, and weren't that pillowy soft. The only flavor in them was sour cream, but that was it! The Baked Corn Souffle was actually really good, and the best dish they had; would highly recommend it. They charge you for bearnaise sauce, but when we got home, they put almost no sauce in the container, that we had bought! Other steakhouses I've been to (they charge as well) will usually just give a fresh one. Just felt a bit nickel and diming for a place that's charging so much. Just so many issues here, mainly the food quality isn't there, and the little things that really just bring this place down even lower. Their are many other steakhouses in the area, I can't say you should go to Morton's, especially for the prices you'll pay. read more

So interestingly, I am normally not a huge Morton's fan. I had a horrible experience at the San Francisco Morton's most recently. However I went a few weeks ago to my local Boca location and the food was great! We needed a place to go have a bite late (late for Boca- 8:30 pm). And there really was nothing in the neighborhood. My friend suggested Morton's and she was spot on. We sat at the bar (or a high top near the bar) and ordered a couple of bar bites- crab cakes and filet tips . Both were very good. I was happy to have good conversation and good food. The only thing it is very dark in there and when we were there it was freezing. They were having difficulty with the air conditioning. Finally, about 20 minutes into our visit, it seemed to be fixed or at least on the way to being a more normal temperature. We got into a nice conversation with some other people there and that was a plus. It is located in Boca Center near Town Center. Our waitress LEXI was outstanding from the moment she approached our table. She was engaging and very accommodating, she made suggestions and they were all home runs. She would be the reason we would come back and give it another try! Now about the food, lobster bisque and French onion soups were both fantastic! Chicken Christopher was definitely over fried to a burnt causing the chicken to be dried. Filet was ordered medium well and ended up overrrlyyyyy dry and well done to say the least with not a speckle of pink in sight. Mac and Cheese could have used a little more cooking of the pasta, still hard to the taste (was much better the second go around in my microwave). Lobster ravioli was splendid.
