Got lured back to Morton's by their $2 filet sandwich deal during their happy hour, which they call Power Hour. The small bar-bite sandwiches were okay, meat was decent, but they felt mass-produced and lacked character. However, our cocktails (Old Fashioned and Mojito) and onion rings were excellent, as was our friendly, attentive server. Parked in their on-site underground lot this time because last time they mentioned validation. However, the validation only gets you $4 off. read more

Absolutely terrible service. Almost one hour after we arrived we still hadn't received our appetizers. The waitress advised that the restaurant was "impacted" and much more crowded than usual. That's nonsense. A restaurant controls the number of people they let in. If they can't provide good service because they are too crowded, that's a choice the staff has made. Then my steak arrived. I had ordered it extra rare as I always do. It arrived medium rare. I couldn't eat it. Given the amount of time it took for the food to arrive, I couldn't let my party wait while a new steak was brought to me. I had to go without an entree. How can a steakhouse serve a medium rare steak to a customer that ordered a rare steak? Finally, I ordered coffee with my dessert. The waitress forgot my order. This is an expensive restaurant. The lack of quality service is disgraceful. I have been to the Burbank location five or six times. This is the second time I have received this kind of low quality service. I guess I'm not the only one to leave a meh review, but when you're paying $72 for a steak, service should just be better. It was slow and not attentive. We were there at 5:00, the place was empty. We had to ask for bread and butter, they didn't just automatically place it on our table, which is standard. Our steaks were cooked to perfection, no complaints. The matchstick French fries ($13) were awful; I had two, one to eat, then one to try to figure out what the funky flavor might be (I left half of that one) and kept quiet but another person in our party said the same thing. Had an amazing time celebrating our friends birthday. They took a late night reservation, which was good so I didn't have to alter the day much to celebrate. Chose from the upgraded die in LA menu or the seafood and lobster menu had an amazing ribeye steak cook Pittsburgh style along with a baked potato with all the fixings, except for bacon and paired it with Santa margarita, Pinot Grigio. Even our order was wrong and the wait to replace the incorrect entree was so long. Other steaks were cold by the time incorrect entree was replaced. More staff was needed. I've never eaten shoe leather but after the steak I got at Arnie Morton's in Burbank last night I know what it tastes like. It has no flavor at all - a hint of shoe polish would have been appreciated - and you have to chew it forever before you give up and just swallow it. I asked to see the manager. The general manager was on duty and she came to the table. I explained that the entrees were inedible and she could not have been more apologetic or more anxious to try and make it up to us. She offered us anything on the menu. I ordered a ribeye, my usual steak there, and if I wasn't already done with the place, I would have sent that back too. It was better than the first steak, but not much. What's happened to Arnie Morton's? It's been our special occasion go-to place for years but if I'd kept the first steak I got last night I'd still be chewing it. To appease us a little more they brought us a slice of chocolate cake the size of my leg. It was cold, stale and I would guess it was in the refrigerator since New Years. I'll give the place two stars instead of one because the bread and salad were good, the wait staff was relentlessly cheery and the manager did everything available to her to make the best of the situation. Unfortunately, she couldn't turn Arnie's back into the upscale delight it used to be, a place where the chef would have quit on the spot before cooking whatever that was we were served. Our friend made a reservation for this past Saturday, enticed by their Two pound lobster special for $59.00. The reservation was for 6:30pm. We were seated immediately, however, our cocktails were not served until 7:10. We ordered 2 advertised lobster specials...the server said they were sold out (and asked if we reserved the lobsters when making the reservation). My friend informed the restaurant by phone that we were coming in for the lobsters, no-one asked about reserving lobsters. We had to switch gears and ordered a lobster tail and a petite filet mignon. The steak was dry and extremely salty, the tail was tasty but not a full lobster. For a $300.00 meal, I would expect better service and a higher quality meal (along with what I feel is false advertising, just to lure you in). read more

I just have to say. There isn't many good steakhouses in this area in the valley and working in the industry we have to go further. Expectations are lower. BUT I had an experience with Morton's that just expanded my mind. I don't have to say anything about how good the quality of food is. But the service and care. I tried for a first rare time to try to pick up my own order this time and thought the restaurant was a challenge to find, I was helped with and am truly grateful for the staff to care and try as much as they did to get my order to me. Such. tasty. food. Come try for yourself. My husband and I had a date night here recently, our mouths always water whenever we pass by a Morton's. We got a whole spread consisting of fries, brussel sprouts, scalloped potatoes, lobster ravioli, steak, bread pudding, and bread with butter (the bread and butter are 5 stars alone). We were happily stuffed at the end of the meal. We had leftovers, which reheated very well when I brought the ravioli and scalloped potatoes to work the next day. First time dining at Morton's and it'll be my last. The service was lacking, our server didn't know about DineLA and assumed it was the same from their current menu. Waited awhile until she presented us with the DineLA menu. I ordered the lobster bisque (super salty), mash potatoes (they were as good as mash potatoes could be), and an 8 oz center cut filet mignon which was alright. The only meal I enjoyed with their hot chocolate cake. The chocolate hit the spot, light and perfectly sweetened. The service was lacking, our server hardly checked in on us then midway through dinner we had another server. Turns out our server went to on break but didn't tell us. Went for Thanksgiving dinner with a dear friend. It was ok. Didn't preorder the turkey dinner, and it is Mortons, so I went with a filet. The steak was cooked correctly but way too salty. When did they start using lawry's seasoning? If they aren't, whatever they're using tastes exactly like it. The szechuan green beans were disgusting. Horribly overcoated. No spice, just sweet syrup. I can still taste it. Just awful. Have been to Mortons more than 2 dozen times over the past decade. This was the lowlight. We came here for Dine L.A., 3-course lunch for $25. We tried Tomato Soup and Lobster Bisque ($3 upcharge). Both were good. You can get salad or beefsteak tomato instead. For entree, I selected Warm Steak Salad. It was huge with a good amount of steak which was slightly dry. Hubby had the Ribeye Steak with mashed potatoes. He found it a bit tough. For dessert, we had Key Lime Pie and their Legendary Hot Chocolate Cake ($6 upcharge). Both were delicious (the best part of the meal?), and the latter came with vanilla ice cream. Service was very good. Samantha was our server. The whole team refilled our water and checked on us adequately. With validation, you may park in the building for 2 hours for $3 at lunch. I've been to Morton's Burbank a few times now and I've really enjoyed it. I've mostly just been to their Happy Hour and that's really great. The cocktail menu is pretty limited, but their HH food menu is great! It's from 4-7 daily in the lounge. I've had dinner there as well and it was also very good with really good service. Parking in the bldg is a bit pricey, but I haven't had any problem finding street parking. read more

I love this place! It was my first time here, I came for my birthday and I had a great time eating delicious food and drinks. Dinner was outstanding! We had the Tomahawk Steak it was to perfection! Had my favorite dessert cream brûlée with a candle after dinner delicious. [寻味LA]简单粗暴吃牛排 有人问我，说你是不是不在美国啊？你是不是躲在东南亚的某个小角落里啊？为什么你吃的不是泰国菜就是越南菜还有马来西亚菲律宾菜啊？你是不是躲在四国交界的地方啊？ 我都不知道这四个国是不是交界，但我知道他们的菜虽然都大受中国菜影响，却依然风格鲜明，这就是他们可爱的地方，我向来是个喜欢多元化多样化的人。 我真的在美国，美国的洛杉矶，这里真的是个多元化多样化的地方，什么都有。我搬去洛杉矶前，很多人担心我会"饿死"，我不知道他们是怎么想的，我居然有可能饿死？我自己会做的啊！ 就算不会做，这里吃的东西太多了，任何一家有规模的亚洲超市卖的东品都比上海的城市超市和Ole加起来还多。在有淘宝之前我每次去东南亚国家都要背好多食材回来存着，现在不用了，随时都可以买到新鲜的各种食材。别说东南亚菜了，就是中国菜也相当不错，有好吃的川菜粤菜，也有相当不错的生煎小笼，唯一美中不足的是尚未找到正宗的上海菜，不过那也正常，你在上海也找不到正宗的上海菜。 好在我会烧，烧正宗的上海菜。 不说这个了，为了证明我真的是在美国，我特地去了次Morton's The Steakhouse，这家很多年前就开到北京上海的号称"絶不妥协"的牛排馆，他们向来号称全世界的Morton's味道都是一样的，我想那是因为USDA的牛肉定级标准做得到位吧？你用中国的牛试试？也难说，中国的牛可能也不错，因为中国的牛是不挤奶的，中国人都吃外国奶粉。 最近中国开放了美国牛肉的进口，中国的美国牛排馆也能用上美国牛肉了，只是成本高了许多吧？房租比美国贵、牛肉比美国贵，也难怪同样一家牛排馆要比美国贵上那么多了。Morton's哪怕在美国，不同的店价格是不一样的，但上下并不多，在二三美元之间，一份芝加哥带骨肉眼牛排的价格是60美元左右，而同样的一份在上海是768元，利润还不见得比美国高。 就是照片上的这份，我点的，我拍的，与上海不同的是，这里的Morton's黑灯瞎火的，别指望拍得出好照片来；暗到什么地步？暗到要用手机打开手电照着看。 莫尔顿牛排，国内也算是个品牌了，你见过有人说他们的牛排难吃吗？没有吧？点评上一星二星的确有，但都是吐槽服务不好的，没人说牛排不好吃的，没有会说自己六七百元的主菜不好吃的，再加上汤啊前菜啊，就得千把块了，没人愿意说不好的。 那几十美元的牛排怎么样呢？我要的是rare，中文可能叫三成熟吧，中国流行一种说法，说是牛排的熟度只能点单数，不能说"四成熟、六成熟"之类的，我也不知道谁发明的，反正感觉上和说咖啡只能手冲的一样无聊。 这家Morton's有二个烤炉，上海的是全世界最大的Morton's，有七个之多，厉害了。我的牛排烤得相当好，外脆里嫩，稍有血水；medium rare不能有血水，rare的话稍有血水是完全能接受的。Morton's的牛排向来以粗旷著称，就是简单粗暴地把烤炉烧到冒烟，关火后烤牛排，翻面后用小火继续烤，我选的位子正对着厨房，可以看着厨师们做菜，这是我最喜欢的事了。 Morton's源自芝加哥，所以我点了芝加哥风的带骨肉眼，他们也有纽约牛排和Cajun口味的，后者是路易斯安纳法裔风格。 牛排说完了。 就这么点？一块牛排要怎么说？牛肉分割？什么部位是什么？几分熟分别叫什么？我又不是营销号。 这样吧，正好这几天是洛杉矶的餐厅周，我们还是老规矩，来说菜单吧。 午餐 汤类，色拉或前菜 Morton's Salad，莫尔顿色拉，与凯撒色拉差不多，主料是球生菜而不是罗马生菜 Caesar Salad，凯撒色拉 Sliced Beefsteak Tomato & Blue Cheese，就是切片番茄上撒点蓝纹起司在加几片牛排切片 Cup of Roasted Tomato Bisque，杯装烤番茄浓汤 Cup of Baked Five Onion Soup，杯装烤五洋葱汤，一般用紫洋葱、白洋葱，以及绿葱球根，先烤后做成的汤，不见得是五只或五种洋葱 主菜 Warm Steak Salad，温拌牛排色拉，常有罗马生菜与切片牛排 Grilled 9 oz.
