We went for Dine LA and we had a fabulous time. The Dine LA menu was fantastic. Our steaks were cooked perfectly and we especially loved the desserts. Our server was attentive and friendly. Things have really gotten better here in the last year and it feels more upscale like it used to back in the day. Can't wait to go back. My only minor issue is the black plates the steaks are served on have an unusual curve and I continually knock my fork off onto my lap! But maybe it's just me. read more

Steak: I ordered an 8 oz fillet mignon medium rare with lobster tail. Specifically asked for generous seasoning and light charring. The charring and seasoning were fine but the meat wasn't the best quality and I know that by perfecting my steak at home and using meat cuts of varying quality from Ralph's, Trader Joe's and Whole Foods. The meat had slight stinky notes in the juice. Also it came out well done, contrary to my request to have it done medium rare. My wife ordered the boneless ribeye medium rare and it came out medium well at best. The lobster tail was great though. Juicy and tender, grilled nicely. Great quality. Sides: LOVED mashed potatoes and mac and cheese. They add sour cream to their mashed potatoes which is the way to go. The service was friendly, attentive and fast. They seated us at the booth right by the kitchen and we were sweating by the end of our dinner! We went because we had $200 worth of points that were expiring and I'm not sure why we would ever want to come back to a steak house let alone this one. So 3 stars because steak quality wasn't good and because we were exposed to the scorching heat of the kitchen without our consent. read more

I'm so happy we celebrated my son's birthday in this restaurant! My son requested to eat tomahawk because he never tried tomahawk before! So we came in here, and this place did not fail. Making a reservation was easy, you can just go to their website. when walked in here we greeted with the staff and gave us a "birthday" menu and they added my son's name. :) The place is very spacious, decoration was nice and it's not that loud.. We ordered lobster ravioli, prosciutto and mozzarella tomahawk, macaroni lobster, mashed potato and Sauteed Fresh Spinach and Button Mushrooms. I've only tried Morton in Taipei a few times, and it's exciting to visit the Burbank store today. It's a quiet private place, pretty low key, and located at a quiet corner. The first time I went to Morton's I was so impressed, it was the Las Vegas Location. They use to show you the cuts and you get to pick what want... Things changed and thats no longer a thing they do. However, this time and past few times I went to different Morton's locations, I wasnt very impressed with their food considering their food isnt cheap. It is still an expensive steak house place but the difference is that the quality or the taste wasnt great. Service was good however, ambience is really nice and quiet. I noticed that they put the steak inside like if you were to cook pizza, the difference though is that this is not pizza. This is what they called Chicago style which I dont know if I am a fan of. It's my first time at this Morton's location. This place has the signature Mortons look and feel. Staffs are very courteous and professional. The food was great, with the exception of the Tofu Steak.... We ordered the Miso glazed sea bass with several sides. The sea bass and all the sides (Baked potato, creamy spinach and Asparagus) were all delightful and just like how we remember it. This trip we did not order any meat instead opted to try the Tofu Steak. Ordering Tofu Steak in a restaurant known for, Steaks. What could go wrong... Absolutely hands down, will never order this again. Unsure what the dish is supposed to be about. It felt, like eating slightly seasoned tofu, drowning in its little pond of, tofu soup. There were many black sesame seeds, floating and hanging on the tofu. What exactly is going on here? Is this some Asian inspired fusion thing? Just because it's tofu, so had to make it with Bokchoi? Sprinkle some black sesame seeds to make it even more "authentic". There has to be other dishes you can make for clients that do not want to have any meat... I always have a good time at Morton's. Walked in last night around 6:00 PM and sat at the bar. First words I heard were from Malikah, one of the bartenders: "Hi Paul, welcome, nice to see you again." Now that's what a customer wants to hear. Certainly, she's not required to remember my name, but what a pleasure that she did. The other bartender, Cindy, was also very nice and accommodating. Our friends brought us here for our 35th wedding anniversary. We loved it! Even though it's been there for years, it looks brand new with quality high end decor, tables, chairs, dinnerware, and utensils. We celebrated our his and her's birthday dinner here; her's late April/mine early May. Parking was easy enough, garage valet or self park. We chose self park for free. Stepping inside slightly early for our 6 o' clock reservation, we were soon greeted by a very welcoming young lady, the hostess. And escorted to our booth. Lighting is somewhat dim but the ambiance was nice. Clay was our server and he seemed personable enough. He brought our menus, then water and complimentary bread. The bread was good, but that butter! So flavorful and smooth as silk! And while we continued scanning our menus, I requested the Baked French Onion Soup. Thick layers of cheese and a doughy crust, but the broth, which was tasty, had very little hint of onion flavor. For our entrees My wife ordered the 16oz Prime New York Strip(medium well), while I requested the 16oz Prime Ribeye(medium). Both steaks were satisfying but not quite up to par with Eddie V's., which you could cut through with a butter knife. We also shared sides of the Loaded Baked Potato, minus bacon, along with the Sautéed Brussels Sprouts and Sautéed Spinach and Mushrooms; no problem with the sides. But here are the negatives: although we felt quite welcomed by the staff; no feelings of discrimination as some have stated. And we were the only African Americans the entire time, when things started getting crowded. But for what you pay for a meal here, service could be considerably more attentive. The one blaring hiccup, was with the young lady bringing our orders; apparently assisting Clay. We had specifically asked for no bacon to be included in the Brussels Sprouts and Loaded Baked Potato. But as she placed the plate of accoutrements for the potato, there sat a bowl of bacon included. When my wife pointed and asked what it was, then with the answer of "bacon". The Mrs. requested that it be removed. A communication problem, sure, but this server rather begrudgingly, appeared to get an attitude and stormed off with the bowl of bacon. That, along with the only occasional followups from Clay, keeps me from giving a 5 star review. And as one fellow Yelper stated concerning service at this high end steakhouse; "nothing more than at Wood Ranch". A first time visit for us, and probably the last. We had some gift cards and decided to come for a dinner on no occasion. It was during Dine LA so my daughter and husband got the Dine LA specials while my younger daughter and I ordered ala carte. Restaurant is inside the Pinnacle building on Olive and there was no valet. There is an underground parking lot that was free at night and validated during the day. There is construction going on and you might not see the sign for Morton's off the street. The restaurant is super traditional steak house interior. Tip: the booths on the sides of the restaurant have to be reserved ahead of time. There is no option on open table to request a booth so I'm not quite sure how to "reserve" them. Tables were tight and the 4 of us felt squeezed in. It would have been a comfortable table for 2. The shrimp cocktail was delicious with 5 jumbo pieces of shrimp is a spicy cocktail sauce. Delicious sauce! The bacon steak was also amazing and my favorite part of the meal. It was 2 thick slabs of smoked bacon and it was delicious. Steak was delicious and perfectly cooked. Daughters salmon was slightly under. Was not impressed by the chicken Christopher. Service was sooooo slow and unattentive. Our waiter seemed irritated and all the courses took forever. After the meal, my daughter had misplaced her AirPods and we were looking for them as the AirTag said they were in the restaurant. The busser turning the table over was visibly irritated and said he didn't see them and turned his back. We were able to find them under the table no thanks to him. That's nonsense. A restaurant controls the number of people they let in. If they can't provide good service because they are too crowded, that's a choice the staff has made. Then my steak arrived. I had ordered it extra rare as I always do. It arrived medium rare. I couldn't eat it. Given the amount of time it took for the food to arrive, I couldn't let my party wait while a new steak was brought to me. I had to go without an entree. How can a steakhouse serve a medium rare steak to a customer that ordered a rare steak? Finally, I ordered coffee with my dessert. The waitress forgot my order. This is an expensive restaurant. The lack of quality service is disgraceful. I have been to the Burbank location five or six times. This is the second time I have received this kind of low quality service. I've never eaten shoe leather but after the steak I got at Arnie Morton's in Burbank last night I know what it tastes like. It has no flavor at all - a hint of shoe polish would have been appreciated - and you have to chew it forever before you give up and just swallow it. I asked to see the manager. The general manager was on duty and she came to the table. I explained that the entrees were inedible and she could not have been more apologetic or more anxious to try and make it up to us. She offered us anything on the menu. I ordered a ribeye, my usual steak there, and if I wasn't already done with the place, I would have sent that back too. It was better than the first steak, but not much. What's happened to Arnie Morton's? It's been our special occasion go-to place for years but if I'd kept the first steak I got last night I'd still be chewing it. To appease us a little more they brought us a slice of chocolate cake the size of my leg. It was cold, stale and I would guess it was in the refrigerator since New Years. I'll give the place two stars instead of one because the bread and salad were good, the wait staff was relentlessly cheery and the manager did everything available to her to make the best of the situation. Unfortunately, she couldn't turn Arnie's back into the upscale delight it used to be, a place where the chef would have quit on the spot before cooking whatever that was we were served. Sadly, Arnie Morton's isn't going downhill anymore, it's fallen off the cliff. read more
