My relatives invited my family to dine here for a celebration and it was actually my first time trying out Morton's Steakhouse. This place was located next to level 2 Bloomingdales and there is an elevator to go up to the restaurant. The restaurant was very classy and it was pretty spacious. Like any other steakhouses, the lighting was dim. Jumbo lump crab cake: This was just an individual crab cake. We ordered two of these and split it among our table to share. The crab cake was good but it was pretty tiny especially if it is just that one crab cake per order. The sauce was the star. It enhance the flavor of the crab. Caesar salad: The waiter was kind enough to split the salad for 8 people. I love Caesar salads and at this place the salad was good. Prime ribeye (16oz): We got this in medium well. The steak was good and tender. 16oz is a lot so we took home the left overs. Filet mignon and lobster tail (6oz): I ordered for myself. I requested my filet mignon as medium with a butterfly cut. There were two sizes and I chose the smaller one which was 6oz. My filet mignon was tender and cooked well, but it wasn't seasoned enough. I would have ordered one of their add-on sauces to add some flavor to the steak. The lobster tail was very good and fresh. It was also pretty small. Sour cream mashed potatoes: The mashed potato was pretty large. It was enough for 8 people to share. The potatoes were very bland with little to no seasoning. We can't even taste the sour cream. It was very dry and lumpy. This was very disappointing. Smoked Gouda and bacon au gratin potatoes: The gratin potatoes portion was also large. This was very good. The cheese and sour cream flavor was prominent in this side dish. I would recommend this side over the mashed potatoes. Maine lobster ravioli: This ravioli dish was very good. I'm not sure what's the sauce was, but it was amazing. The lobster meat was fresh and it was the right amount for the raviolis. Morton's legendary hot chocolate cake: This was a chocolate lava cake. We ordered two of this dessert and one of them came out broken where the chocolate sauce spilled out of the cake before it reached our table. Regardless, the cake was hot and good. Very gooey and chocolatey. The vanilla ice cream goes so well with this cake. There were some kinks with the foods but still a good experience overall. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful. Dinner at Ala Moana Center in Honolulu, Hawaii... Celebrating a friend's birthday, we decided on Morton's The Steakhouse because the birthday boy had never been. I dined here once - a long time ago - and have a vaguely pleasant memory of the experience. My former coworker raves about Morton's and posts photos on Social Media several times a year! It's her family's favorite place! I made a reservation online and was reminded a couple of times about the time and date. Thank you! I forwarded the message to our party members easily! Parking on the Mall Level was simple enough. We found the elevator to the restaurant, entered the dimly lit, cool, elegant environment, and were greeted immediately by the receptionists. They also said "Happy birthday" to the guest of honor! Grayson was our patient, professional, and knowledgeable server. He guided us through the menu and made appropriate suggestions! He said "Happy birthday" to Paul at the start and end of our meal. The souvenir menu had Paul's name printed at the top of the page! Very nice touch! A photographer stopped by, took our picture, and later returned to give us each a complimentary copy with a handwritten note and the date! She even offered to take our photo with our camera phone! Mahalo! Our food arrived so quickly - maybe because we had an early start of 5:45pm. When we left, the restaurant was more noisy and filled with customers. We appreciated the complimentary Onion Bread. It was warm, soft, and yummy! It was challenging to stop eating it! I ordered the Filet mignon and Lobster tail. The steak was done a little bit more than medium well, but I dipped it into the leftover drawn butter from the lobster. The lobster tail was easy to remove from the cut shell. It was on the softer, less cooked side. We shared the Baked Corn Souffle, Nueske's Bacon Steak, and Sauteed Spinach and Mushrooms. I was so full with these great side dishes that I could only manage a bite of the Complimentary birthday dessert. I cannot believe it took me 20 years to finally try Morton's, a steakhouse that specializes in aged prime beef, seafood, and desserts, as well as carries a large selection of premium wines. They opened in Honolulu back in 2001 on the makai side of Ala Moana Center. Morton's opened their first location in Chicago back in 1978 and can be found nationwide covering 23 states and Puerto Rico. They have also expanded internationally in Canada (Toronto), Mexico (Mexico City) and multiple locations in Asia (Beijing, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Singapore, Taipei and Tokyo). To be frank, I've been wanting to try Morton's but thought it was out of my league. The deciding factor was Auntie (aka Nadine C.), a foodie friend who earlier this year suggested places to celebrate my birthday. Auntie often encourages places that I've never been to so when Morton's was mentioned, I gladly accepted. She made reservations on Open Table and was notified multiple times of our reservation of 3. Words to describe my experience at Morton's: impressed, excellence, the attention to detail and impressive customer service. As we exited the elevator and entered the restaurant, the host confirmed our reservation and upon providing the name, immediately I was wished "Happy Birthday!" I was in awe. While waiting to be escorted to our table, I saw multiple lockers holding liquor bottles of most likely regulars of Morton's. Impressive. We were escorted to our table, and I sat in a deep corner overlooking the dining area and sat down. I noticed a printed menu and on the very top printed the date and "Happy birthday, Paul!" Once again, I was impressed with the attention to detail. My friends and I are primarily eaters and not drinkers, so we skipped the beverage menu. Instead, we perused the menu trying to decide on our entrée, as well as the appetizers and sides to share as Morton's is ala carte. My eyes couldn't help but wander to the dessert section as I've also heard good things about them. Our server for the evening was Grayson, who was very informative and patient with us. He was very thoughtful wishing me a happy birthday at the start and the end of our visit. He provided great suggestions as we weren't quite sure what to order. While waiting for our food, we were served their house baked onion bread, which was so delicious with butter. I had to control myself as I was excited for my main entrée. Here is the summary of what I ate that evening. Nueske's Bacon Steak (5/5) This thick sliced smoked bacon is grilled with a nice char that's cut up into smaller pieces, drizzled with a honey/bourbon glaze and topped with black and white sesame seeds and chopped green onions. It had a great smokiness and char that had going back for me. Absolutely delicious. Baked Corn Souffle (5/5) This side dish intrigued me, so I just had to investigate. To be frank, I'm not a fan of corn but this dish was also delicious. This had a nice balance of savory and sweet. I also appreciated the texture contrast with the corn kernels here and there. Sauteed Spinach with Button Mushrooms (4/5) Fresh spinach was sauteed to the perfect texture where it wasn't mushy from being overcooked. The spinach leaves kept its shape, and the mushrooms were juicy. The only setback for me was the dish was slightly heavily seasoned. 22-oz. Prime Bone-In Ribeye with Blue Cheese Butter (4.5/5) I requested medium-rare, and the chef nailed the temperature. I was so HAPPY with my steak as it was so flavorful, juicy, and succulent. It was indeed a large piece of meat, so I shared some of my steak with my friends, who commented how delicious it was. The only setback for me was the blue cheese butter as it was also heavily seasoned. I love blue cheese, so I had to use it sparingly on my steak and found myself drinking more water. Morton's Legendary Hot Chocolate Cake with Ice Cream (5/5) We were advised this dessert requires 15 mins of prep time and I can understand. The chocolate cake had a nice exterior crust, and it was warm when delivered. I just had to document this dessert by using a spoon to cut the cake to allow the molten center ooze out. My dessert also came with a blue candle that brought a nice touch. During our meal, one of the staff came to take our photo 2x: once was for the complimentary photo to provide to us and the other was to take with my cell phone when the food was delivered. Impressive customer service. From start to finish, I was really impressed with the food and service here. I have realized indeed Morton's is worthy of a repeat visit, especially if celebrating a special occasion. Overall good experience. Better than the other major national steakhouse chain I dined at recently. The bacon steak at this location is better than the bacon steak we had at Morton's Anaheim location. More pieces too. I do like how it's in Ala Moana shopping center. Plentiful free parking. Although it's better than some, I would opt to go to others than here. The dry-aged steak I had was just ok compared to other dry-aged steaks I've had. Sides were also just ok. The sautéed onions and mushrooms side (called the Troy) could use more flavor. Price for the steak is very good. I paid double for a 90-day dry aged at a place on the mainland. That one on the mainland was super delicious though and worth the expense. Our waiter was very good. Kudos for the service! And the dessert was also good. We went to the restaurant as a going away dinner for our youngest daughter. It was a 5 star experience. We had a fabulous waiter, the ambiance was magnificent, and the food delicious. We had a reservation and they printed on menu, Safe Travels Allison. That was a nice touch and the waiter and manager sought her out to say hello. At our table we had 2 kinds of steaks, lobster, lobster bisque, scalloped potatoes, mashed potatoes, and hot lava cake with ice cream. There is very little signage in the mall. And they are not on the 2nd floor. They on 2.5 floor and you can only get to them from the private elevator off the parking lot. Just push 3. I ordered the 16oz prime ribeye. It was cooked at medium rare the way I want it and it was tender but only down fall was it lacked of flavor. My wife ordered the lobster tail. It was good. On every visit to Hawaii, I eat a meal at Morton's. I ordered the Cajun ribeye as I always do. The steak was cooked perfectly as they must using Sous vide method of cooking, however, the salt level on the steak was a little bit too much, and they should have backed off the Cajun ribeye seasoning so I could taste more steak. Also, we ordered truffle parmesan fries and the luscious onion rings. Sure, commoners' food, but fit for a king. I topped this off with the famous hot chocolate cake and ice cream. Another good experience here at Morton's. However this time food didn't meet the expectation that it is usually at. Service Service at Morton's has always been a plus for us. Each year I ask them to have flowers that are delivered at the table ready for us. They never disappoint. The flowers are always well taken care of. Food This unfortunately is where it was a little underwhelming this visit. Steak This nights steak was cooked to the perfect doneness that I was looking for. However, it just didn't have that seasoning crust that I was looking for from the last visit. Meatballs I think this is what really threw me for a loop. The meatballs were flavorful but they were at room temperature and not hot. I think that they try to rely on the sauce to heat the meatballs but when we got it they just were not heated through. We could have asked to have it sent back and heated but I am always wary of sending food back and getting the same plate. Needless to say I don't think that we will be ordering the meatballs again anytime soon. Overall, we love Morton's. We would choose it over other steak restaurants on the island. My family and I dine at Morton's pretty frequently, and almost every visit the general manager fails to impress. At my last visit, he didn't even look up from his iPad to greet us, didn't see him walk around to see if his customers were satisfied, and didn't thank my party or any other party that I saw for dining with them. No "have a great night, see you again"... nothing. We sat around waiting to be seated for around 15 minutes after our reservation time, so we saw multiple parties come in and go out. One party asked if they could use the stairwell to leave because the front area was getting busy (since no one was being seated) and he very irritatingly answers "yeah I guess". Every time I do see him away from his iPad, he looks very unapproachable, never smiles, looks like he hates his job honestly. I have never seen him walk around asking if the food and service was okay at any of my visits. If you don't want to work in customer service, I would highly suggest to not be a general manager at a fine dining restaurant! read more

More boiled and flavorless than anything. Skip this one. Lobster Ravioli $25 Only three raviolis, but, very tasty. Côte de Boeuf $125 Morton's claim is that their steaks are "The Best Steak...Anywhere". However, the Côte de Boeuf was much more fatty than other steakhouses. Not marbled fat, hunks of fat. There was a crust and the flavor was food. Just expected a better cut being the "best available". Overall, the Ala Moana location makes it convenient, service is outstanding, they celebrate your special day with a delicious complimentary dessert and the prices are less than other places. Our family wanted fries to go along with our homemade burgers at home, so my sister in law suggested Morton's. Coincidently, I had a small GC. She went to order our food, and was told that since she isn't eating in, she can't have the happy hour French fry price. Ok that's fine. She then gives them our GC and cash to cover the balance, but the server uses ALL the cash first and only part of the GC. I guess it's our fault for assuming people run the GC first. I made reservations online and when Morton's called to confirm my reservations, I mentioned my intention to start at Happy Hour at the bar then dinner in the dinning room. The hostess/receptionist said they usually don't take reservations for the bar but will note it on my reservation. Morton's never disappoints! I treated my family to dinner here. We were going to sushi, but the wait was too long. This was a stellar choice by my brother in law. He just had Father's Day dinner here and is a regular. We got in right away. The ambiance was how most Morton's steakhouses are, but this Ala Moana location seemed a lot more lively and beautifully lit. Gregory helped us this evening. If you get him, you are in for a treat! He was very charming and knows the menu. I ordered the rib eye, grilled asparagus, and a glass of Moet Imperial. The rest of the family ordered shrimp cocktail, Ceasar salad, Cajun ribeye, bone-in rib eye, filet mignon, wagyu filet, garlic mashed potato, and green beans. Phew! One of the orders wasn't cooked to my brother in law's liking, but he didn't want to say anything. I informed Gregory, and he was going to get another order, but Ron didn't want to waste food. We went to celebrate my granny's birthday and everything was fantastic from beginning to end, from the host at the front, table touch by manager, and attentive service by our server Gregory. All of the food was delicious, Cajun steak was perfectly cooked and all of our apps were so yummy. We had the best time here and we have the friendly and wonderful staff to thank, especially our server, Trent. He was so knowledgeable, skillful and thoughtful about each part of our meal. They make customized menus for your special occasion, which already makes you feel welcome and special upon arrival. I started off with a beautiful glass of Austin Hope cab (Trent's rec) and my partner got his favorite martini. He loves the blue cheese stuffed olives here and we haven't found any other versions that come close to theirs. The highlight of the meal was the rib eye, which we ordered rare plus and pupu style. I love these options they gave us because we got the perfect cook. While there is a particular pleasure in making that first cut into a beautiful steak, the steak was sliced so beautifully and still juicy. Their sauces are all delicious. So glad Trent recommended the peppercorn cognac sauce along with our truffle butter for the steak. The camera person who comes around taking photos was so sweet and able to capture baby with just one snap! I asked if she was a photographer because she did such a great job. Sadly, she's not for hire, folks. They ran out of paper photo frames but that's ok because we have frames at home. The host was very helpful and went out of her way to give us some recommendations for baby photographers. It was better than hotel concierge level service here at Morton's on all fronts. It seems like good service is becoming a rarity these days and higher price tag is no guarantee. I still have a smile on my face while writing this. It seems professionalism has become a foreign concept at Morton's Steakhouse, as clearly demonstrated by their uninspired, copy-paste responses to any dissatisfied customer. What once might have resembled a genuine steakhouse has now devolved into something akin to a bargain-bin knockoff with all the charm of a forgotten tourist trap. Directing customers to a corporate website to endure the tedious task of filling out a generic questionnaire feels less like service and more like adding insult to injury. It's careless, dismissive, and frankly, an embarrassing attempt to deflect from the crumbling culinary experience. Clearly, there's no intention of changing here. If the management--and yes, even the "new" manager--put half as much energy into improving the actual dining experience as they do into pretending to care via their cut-and-paste responses, they might not find themselves in such a laughable position. This isn't customer service; it's a poorly staged performance of "look busy, do nothing," much like the kitchen's output my last few visits over the past year. Honestly, this place deserves to shutter its doors. They've lost all sense of what a real steakhouse should offer and are now coasting on the fumes of a once-great name. It's a "has-been" charging premium prices for mediocrity, and I wouldn't dare subject my friends or colleagues to this overpriced farce--company-paid or not. Absolutely amazing experience here. We had a horrible experience at Aloha Steakhouse so we came here instead for my sisters 50th. Within 10 minutesof making reservations, they had printed a menu with my sisters name that said Happy Birthday and decorated confetti on the table, took a complimentary family photo, gave the kids stuff to color and gave us a pleasant and professional experience. Our food came out and everything we got was so flavorful. I ordered 'The Original' Morton's Prime Burger' with Matchstick Fries which was worth $25, to go. Let me tell you, it was very delicious and very juicy. The Burger was worth every penny. You can order the 10 oz Prime Burger at the bar only. It is available all day. You can dine in the restaurant, providing you can show your valid vaccination card and an I.D. or you can order to go and get charge an extra 75 cents. However the Truffled cream corn appeared to be made with spoiled milk/dairy. It tasted very sour and had the smell of barf, we only found out after we put it into our main plate; which ruined our main entree and we didn't finish our main entirely because the taste and smell of the truffled corn has seeped into the sauces of the entrees. The terrible taste and smell lasted longer after dinner for me. Our server was apologetic and took this off of our order which we appreciated. I went with a friend to try some different fine dining places. The food was phenomenal, it might be expensive, but the ambience makes up for it. Service was fair to make the food took about 20-30 minutes waiting with a lot of people dining in as well. From the moment we walked in, the hostess said Happy birthday and when we sat down, our menu said Happy Birthday, Barb! Oh my goodness, it was a nice personal touch it made me feel special. Now to the food, we ordered the rib eye, crab cakes, seafood tower, Mac and cheese, potato au gratin and dessert. Everything was delicious! I didn't think the seafood would come out fresh but it was amazing. Oysters and crab legs tasted fresh. The steak was melt in your mouth good and the dessert at the end was a perfect end. We had the chocolate lava cake and creme brûlée. Next a photographer came by and took our family photo and gave it to us at the end. It was those sweet things that made me feel special. Location/Parking: The restaurant is located in Ala Moana Center. There is an elevator on the second floor that will take you to a top floor where the restaurant is located. There are reserved parking for patrons in front of the elevator. Food/Drinks: Food is served ala carte so you order your entree and side dish separately. A garlic bread comes complimentary with the meal. I recommend the lobster mac and cheese. It was creamy with reasonable size lobster pieces in it. I wasn't a fan of their Brussel Sprouts. My husband chose the blue cheese butter and it complimented his steak well. There is a full bar with an extensive wine list and a variety of cocktail drinks. Seating: There is a small bar area to sit. We were seated in a booth but they also had tables in the center and near the kitchen. There is also a private seating area as well. Price: Be prepared to spend a pretty penny. A good steak averages around $60 and a side dish is around $12. Overall, this is a nice place to go on a date night or special occasion with a loved one. read more

I would give this restaurant a negative 5 star review if I could. We took a family vacation to Hawaii and reserved dinner at Morton's Steakhouse weeks prior. We went to have dinner on 02/26 with 3 couples and were seated. First impression was the table they seated us at, plastic and wobbling like crazy! We told our waitress that our table is wobbling pretty bad and her response was to just push the drinks farther to the center of the table so they won't spill!! For a high priced restaurant one would expect to have a great dinning experience on a solid table and not have to worry about a glass of wine spilling onto their wife! So we just decided to deal with it. We ordered our food, 3 of us got the filet and lobster tail, I ordered a side of sauteed spinach and mushrooms. Dinner came to the table and as we we're eating all three of the lobster tails were raw making it disgusting to eat. I started eating the spinach and mushrooms and as I was eating I felt something hard under my tooth, thinking it's a stem or something I removed the item from my mouth and found a rusty nail!!!! Disgusted and immediately nauseated we called our waitress and showed her what came out of my dish and ultimately my mouth, thank GOD I did not swallow the nail!! She called the manager Danielle Mastalir who came to our table shocked took the nail and said she would go inside and ask the chef what happened. She comes back out and tells us that the chef said we don't use nails in our kitchen!! My response was I certainly hope not and we all started laughing at the response. She emailed her general manager Andrew Spinelli regarding the issue and below is the actual email. I checked with chef and chef said we do not use this type of equipment in the restaurant. The group asked me to document the event. I comp'd their soups, baked potato and spin, offering dessert, as a courtesy. I also provided the guest your business card for follow up. Pic is attached. 4*16*22 My husband brought me here for my 28th birthday, it was really a great dinner. We've been here a couple of times already & there was never a time we was unsatisfied. You know that means it's ONO. Morton's is located in Ala Moana. Parking lot is right out but need to take the elevator up to Morton's. Once you get out you can check in @ front. They do take reservations & hold private dining. Dine in or even pick-up & order online for delivery. Awesome service & atmosphere. The ambience is dark & classy. My husband reserved a booth for us; booth is pretty big for just us two. They customize their menu at the top for your special occasion which is cool. Of course on the weekend it's pretty busy. Wait time for our table wasn't long either. Our server was very attentive and friendly. We had questions about some entrees & he knew his stuff, Thank you. Appetizers: Jumbo lump Crab cake & Nueske's bacon steak. *I LOVE crab cake, taste was amazing, portion could be bigger. It's not "Jumbo" as it states. But the Nueske's bacon steak was 5/5, it was glazed and very tasty! Main entrees: Josh - Dry aged bone-in K.C Strip 18 oz I had Filet mignon & Lobster tail Both shared sides of Jumbo grilled Asparagus & Sour cream mashed Potatoes Because it was my birthday, we had a complimentary dessert, Chocolate Molten Cake! Steak was really good and so was the lobster bisque but for spending nearly $300, the rest of the dishes we ordered were not noteworthy

Came here for our second anniversary and it did not disappoint. We ordered the valentines special for two and it was delicious. Trent our server was excellent!! Best service in Waikiki. The restaurant is beautiful. read more
