Even though I would give the food a 4 Star rating, the overtly Christian decor combined with a portrait of "The Godfather" left me puzzled about who the restaurant was attempting to market to or to exclude. My guest and I ordered takeout, as we both still feel uncomfortable eating in public restaurants since Covid. Takeout appears to be popular here, as there was only one table of diners. Service was prompt, helpful and courteous. We ordered the bruschetta, Azra's Chicken Plate, and Salmon Bistro. All were within expectations, well prepared and tasty. The restaurant atmosphere, on the other hand, would be rated 2 Stars for a confusing mix of religious messaging that will not appeal to all customers. While waiting for our order, I noticed the large portrait of Marlon Brando as "The Godfather". However, nearby was a sign with a Christian saying, and then another and another scattered throughout the restaurant. Then I noticed that every other window was emblazoned with a Biblical psalm or scripture. Does a church or religious organization operate this restaurant? After paying for delivery and tip via third party, a large portion of my meal was accidentally missing. Mo's went out of their way to fix it and personally deliver it when I wasn't able to leave the house since I was putting my kid to bed. This is the type of service that will keep me coming back over and over. Uber Eats could learn a thing or two from them about how to keep a customer. Mo's is conveniently located within the Hillside Village shopping center. I was shopping and smelled the wonderful aroma coming from the restaurant so my husband and I stopped in. The inside offers seating at tables or booths and take out options. I ordered Abels trio and the three pasta trio, both were well seasoned, tasty, pipping hot, and served fairly quickly( maybe 15 minutes). I loved the lasagna and chicken Parmesan that were a part of the Abel's Trio. The three pasta combo was a treat as well, my mother is a huge food critic and she was all smiles! I've lived in Cedar Hill for about 3 years and how did I not know about this place?! At first, I was skeptical about this restaurant mainly because of the title "express". It made me think of fast food and low quality. However, I'm a fan of pastas and I was willing to give this a try. This Italian restaurant has so many delicious, savory dishes. The calamari is one of the best I've ever had. The garlic bread is amazing. I had the fettuccine Alfredo with blackened shrimp. It was tasty. I love the portion sizes. I came hungry and left so full. My husband had the chicken Parmesan and had brought leftovers home. I went in and the manager/owner had a mask on but was wearing it well below his nose. When I called him on it and said. Honestly I love Mo's. For starters the food is always fresh very delicious has an authentic taste. Each time I have went the on my lunch the customer service was amazing and very genuine. The presentation of my food was just fantastic. I even recommended them for our monthly meetings that my job host. The catering is even great! I didn't realize we came in so close to closing time until we were leaving with our food. With that being said, we had great customer service. They never once made us feel rushed. Their dishes seem to have a "special" something, as if prepared by those chefs with the tall hats, which always lands the food in the "really good" catagory. The cashier was very rude- unprofessional and not friendly at all. She got mad because we were paying card and I had told her I wanted to pay cash instead since they charge for using a debit or credit card- as a "good standing" business they shouldn't even charge for their customers using debit or credit card. I had told her before she charged me, I didn't know why would she roll her eyes at me when I had asked her to do cash instead- there's no need for all of that. I believe her name was Stephanie. After we paid I received my pasta- and after I got my appetizer? Isn't supposed to be all the way around?
