    Chicken and Beef Teriyaki plate
    Steven M.

I was really impressed by the speed we received our order. I was not a fan of their teriyaki sauce - it was a bit too smokey for my taste - but fortunately, they have it off to the side in containers and the meat was not sauced. The egg roll and gyoza are just okay. Overall, a good value for the price.

This place is an absolute Pigsty!! Filthy. Trash everywhere and the restrooms make a gas station seem like your at the Ritz Carlton. Beyond all that the service is simply RUDE!!! They never answer the phone !!! When you call and attempt to place an order to go. They simply do not answer!!!!! And when you ask him why they tell you things like we're busy. We're all busy. I'm busy you're busy. We're all busy if I'm going to give you business and spend my money at your establishment. The least you can do is answer the phone so I can order to go.. this place is simply over rated

    Beef and chicken plate

I will have to say my experience was okay. The service was quick I will have the say. The food was the issue the beef was a bit on the dry side and the chicken was okay and the salad felt like it was missing something. The egg roll that was included was soggy and mushy in the inside. I just felt like the quantity was a lot but felt like it didn't match up with the price sadly. The parking was hard but it was okay. the outside was clean and very nice outdoor seating if it wasn't raining at the time.

This is depressing. For the first time ever I came to this location instead of grand ave location. And they were packed food came out quick but way too suspiciously quick. To find out my food had nothing but mainly rice filled to the brim and barely a thin layer of chicken. When I go to grands location they put equal chicken and rice and don't half the chicken and put more rice. I'm desperately sad :(

Chicken and Beef plate . #4

Ordered the #4 (chicken and beef). It was good, but nothing spectacular or particularly special about the place. I like that it's a hole-in-the-wall spot with pretty fast service. If I'm craving chicken teriyaki or a simple meat-and-rice dish, I'd come back but it wouldn't be my first choice since nothing really stood out. Fair prices, quick service, definitely more of a takeout spot, and overall decent food. The salad was lackluster, and the dressing tasted mostly like mayo.

    Nasty nasty nasty

Nastiest chicken plate ever they gave me all skin no chicken. I don't know what they are thinking this is not ok and nasty. The one in Santa Ana is better this is absolute trash.

Chicken combo plate. It taste average not bomb like others said. But the teriyaki sauce is a bit bitter not my taste

Tried this place today because of high rating but to me I think it's over hyped. I ordered a chicken plate combo the chicken was on the dry side and the teriyaki sauce is a bit bitter to my taste so my rating is average

Medium chicken teriyaki bowl. It's very good.

CASH ONLY. Don't tell me there's an ATM nearby that has an $8 fee or whatever. Bring cash. Teriyaki bowls are nothing new in the world but they make them very well here. They also have combo plates with shrimp and scallops, etc. They've got chicken, beef, and pork, but I think chicken is the way to go. You can ask for skin-on, if you prefer, but it's a little fatty and weird. The medium-sized bowl is perfect for a full meal and they don't skimp on the chicken. Admittedly, it's not the greatest quality chicken. But put it on a bed of rice with green onions on top along with their rich, syrupy molasses-like sauce, and the dish is pretty great. And the sauce is delicious. It's worth paying for extra cups. No indoor seating but there's a good-sized patio. Plenty of free parking next to the building. Remember: CASH ONLY.

    Chicken Combo Platter

Your basic teriyaki chicken bowls with rice. I used to eat Mos all the time years ago, but haven't been in forever. I ordered the chicken combo plate and everything was delicious, but the salad and gyoza were just okay. I'd probably stick with a bowl and add an egg roll next time. Service was good, a little slow but it's always busy so it's to be expected. There are only tables outside which is okay with me, but some people may not be a fan. Parking was no problem as they have a decent size lot.

There's two lines: one for alcohol and one for ordering food. Our order was ready before we even sat down. They have a LOT of seating and water stations all around. They share their seating area with some other businesses in the area. The pork belly was delicious. Perfectly crispy top with tender meat (would heavily recommend). The brisket was good too with two pieces being on the fattier side and the other two being meatier. The brisket was melt in your mouth and flavored well. The pandana pudding was also super good. The pandan flavor was strong with pieces of banana and nila cookies. I would 100% recommend this place for those who love bbq and asian inspired bbq sides and desserts.

The Siu Yuk Pork Belly has a nice crispy exterior and fatty tender interior. My dad's favorite done very well here. We also enjoyed the dry-rub pork ribs and moist beef brisket. For sides we tried the mapo chili, sesame slaw, spicy cucumber, and coconut rice. Personally, I'm a big fan of the coconut rice. The flavor is mild enough to let the meat shine, but has a very distinct profile that is still enjoyable to taste. As a good side, it acts as a nice complement. The sesame slaw is also very crisp and refreshing, which is much desired for me (typically not a heavy meat person). I don't particularly enjoy the spicy cucumbers texturally, as I usually prefer a fresher crunch. I also wasn't the biggest enjoyer of the tallow fries, which reminded me of a frozen crinkle-cut fry texture. In-house sauces are an appreciated Asian-spin, not your "traditional" hot sauce or barbecue. Service has always been accommodating and expedient. A past order mix-up was handled very professionally and smoothly, with an extra pandana (pandan banana pudding) for the hassle. If you're going with family, seating and ambiance is very pleasant. I always hear lots of children running around, with plenty of well designed spaces for socialization. Tents lined with stringed lightbulbs, outdoor bar seating, or traditional picnic/table seating are all available options. There's big restrooms, outdoor washing services, and multiple water dispensers. I went around 6:40 PM on a Saturday. Parking lot space is limited, so we've never considered it personally. Expect more street parking nearby in the neighborhood across the street or in that area.

The inside of the restaurant looks like it may have been recently updated ~ it's nicely arranged with a good amount of seating. Orders are placed at the counter and your food is brought to your table when it's ready. Since it was our first visit, the lady at the front was happy to answer our questions and make suggestions. Everything is freshly made to order, so be prepared for a short wait. Plates come with a cup of egg drop soup (which came up piping hot and was very flavorful) that is served to be enjoyed while you wait for your main dish. My foodie friend ordered a fish dish with the Java rice. I chose the beef rib plate and also went with the Java rice. Siopao was a new featured item and apparently they're known for their bibingka, so I added those as well because at this point, why not right? While my friend enjoyed her fish, she said it could have used more seasoning and she wished that she didn't have to pick out the bones. My beef ribs were SOOOO good!! And the Java rice had a really nice flavor that went perfectly with the ribs. Since we had so much food, we split the siopao (a steamed pork bun), and I can't even begin to describe the bibingka ~ it was rich and delicious, with a slightly sweet & creamy filling. I'd have to have another one to better describe its flavor more accurately. I'm so glad to have discovered Tony's! I can't wait to go back!!!

The beef ribs were really good, big and properly cooked, the kind of meat you actually talk about on the way home. Spam musubi is one of those things that either works for kids or turns into a negotiation, and here there was no negotiation. They were happy, which meant the adults got to eat in peace for a minute. Dessert sealed it. They have a version of Dole Whip that tastes just like Disneyland. I am not being cute about that. Same soft, cold, pineapple hit you remember from the park, which is a wild thing to get after a plate of ribs in Anaheim. We finished full and already half-planning the next visit. One caveat: it was really smoky inside. Enough that I noticed it the whole meal. If I could give 4.5 I would, but I'm rounding up because the food was that good. Portions felt solid for a plate-lunch place, the vibe was casual and family-friendly, and nothing about the meal felt fussy.
