Second time here at MO'S finally got to take my partner he loves seafood and clam chowder this place is so good. We both ordered baskets they come with fries and your choice of chowder, house salad with shrimp, coleslaw with shrimp something else I dont remember. Bf got the cod with chowder and I got chicken and the chowder for him. Portions are good. Also thankfully neither the chicken nor the fries tasted like fish so it's not fried in the same oil. The view is the best part of this place. The food was meh. The service was fine until we waited about 30 mins after we were done eating for the server to come back and offer us boxes and the check. This maybe wouldn't be so bad but the tables are picnic bench style and so uncomfortable to be trapped at for so long. I guess some places have this kind of seating, but it's pretty ruthless for those of us who really need a back on our chairs. If you're going to have uncomfortable seating, at least know how to handle the volume when it gets busy so you can keep turning tables over. read more

We had a rather disappointing visit today. We arrived at 10:55. The sign say they open at 11, so we figure we'll wait the 5 minutes for them to open. Meanwhile we see personnel arriving with NOS in hand. We think great, they'll be awake and perky. Not the case. Moe's finally opened their doors at 11:07. Seems very unprofessional to me, but we brush it off. 2 families go in before us, and when we walk in we are told we have to wait 15 minutes to be seated! So now we've been waiting for them to open and we are asked to wait because a whopping 2 tables were seated in front of us? Odd, but we wait. We finally get called in to be seated and we are seated. Another 10-15 minutes go by before a server approached us to take our order. Drinks came out quickly, but food took another 30 minutes to come out. By this point most of the tables have been seated and other tables that have come in after us already are eating their food. There's only 3 of us, why is it taking so long? Why are others getting better and faster service when we got there before them? Why is our server so unpersonable? The food finally comes out and my sons food is wrong! At this point we acknowledge this visit is not going to get any better, so we suck it up, eat our food, and tip accordingly to the service. The only pros were the beautiful view, the hostess who sat us, and the server that actually brought out our food. They were quick, friendly, and treated us like they actually cared about us. The other 3 or 4 people that we came in contact with seemed so preoccupied in themselves that they forgot to provide an excellent experience to the customers that allow them to keep their wages. As someone who worked retail for 12 years I am am empathetic for servers/workers AND I know we as customers are worthy of much better. Overall, it was a ridiculous experience and I left rather dissatisfied with Moe's today. I've been coming to Moe's for years at various locations and this is by far a subpar experience that easily could have been avoided. read more

Location and views are excellent, adult beverages are well done, one of the best Bloody Mary's I've had. The reason for the 3 stars is the food is almost average. Fried ship appetizer seemed to be a frozen bag re-fried Halibut fish and chip basket was fresh but still just average, garlic cheese bread was a sizzler remake from the 1990's! Chowder was probably the only above average item we had. Parking is difficult during the weekends, the wait time was about 20 minutes on a Sunday afternoon. All in all it is a welcome break while driving a long distance along the coast. read more

The clam chowder is by far the worst I've had tried, came here for the reviews both in Google and YouTube but idk if it was good and they changed something. This clam chowder tasted like flour you can actually taste the flour in your mouth and the smoked paprika that the put on top it changes all the flavor, is absolutely terrible. I was craving a hot drink so I ordered the mo mocha. It was basically half hot chocolate half coffee and it was just a watery coffee. Also, the first cup had lipstick stains on it. Not something you want to see during the time of COVID. I ordered the clam chowder in the sourdough bread bowl with shrimp ontop. The shrimp was sort of blah but the chowder was really good. Though the people we were with thought it was the best chowder they ever had so I'll give that the 3 stars but the service wasn't great. Between having to wait and having lipstick on my coffee? There were four of us and the only thing we thought was okay and just okay were the French fries! That's bad! Fish and chips cod, tiny compressed breading over cooked to be closer to fish jerky rather than fresh fish , horrible. The fried shrimp looked like they were run over by a truck, inedible. The clam chowder was closer to the consistency of oatmeal with less flavor. Probably the worst chowder I've ever eaten. I'm trying to find a highlight but all I come up with is location! We came here to celebrate our birthdays. I had a extra large bowl of clam chowder. I was hungry and really feeling like good food. Boy was I surprised.!! The clam chowder that was served tasted like potato soup with freeze dried clams. There was no clam flavor at all!! my friend had a fish sandwich of some type that had more bun than fish and our bill was almost $70 with no drinks, but water. I'm sure that Mo's will not stay in business serving food like this. As I have been driving down the coast, I passed a couple more Mo's seafood places. If I'm gonna have Mo's I prefer going to the original location in Newport, but this is their newest edition on the coast, so we thought why not check them out, they have become pretty mainstreamed and the food comes out hot and fast, maybe a little too fast.. The fish and chips always smack here. It's what they are known for so you cannot go wrong if you stick with it. However a salad came with my meal and I'd rather it didn't. It was brown and squishy. Looking real sad. Also the customer service was...well...awkward. The young lady who greeted us seemed really scared or nervous. I am not sure what it was. I have been to many restaurants and never had such a bizarre interaction with staff. Also if you go and hate fish taste be mindful of the fries. They taste a little bit like it. read more

What a disappointment. My wife and I came back after a good experience a few weeks ago. My wife had the halibut and chips which was overcooked and greasy. We both had the chowder which is OK but nothing to write home about, I had the fried clam strips which tasted Ok but were kind of rubbery. We packed about 1/2 of the food to go and left. Two hours later I was in the bathroom throwing up the clam strips, which lasted through the night. Two stars because of the earlier good experience. If this time round would have been the first one I would give no stars. read more

Big on flavor and food, not so great service. I'd love to give this place 5 Stars but our service just sucked. To the food...Fish tacos were fresh cod, fresh tortillas in a subtle slaw. The Seafood Sampler had frozen butterfly shrimp and fresh cod and clams. The Chowder was superb with a great Pacific Northwest profile. More potato like broth but not overly creamy that makes you feel like your eating a canned hacked version. It was stocky and wholesome with the perfect amount of potato to clam ratio. Shrimp coleslaw was light and well balanced. Not overly sweet or too much vinegar. Well worth the visit if your in this Market and you want a taste of seafood. read more
