The service here is always great since I moved here 2 months ago. The ladies are always nice. I've read through the comments about the restroom & even though it is busy or locked sometimes, the workers always open it for me. The food is okay, it's an easy & quick place to grab something to eat. The ambiance is always calm as well. Overall, I like coming here. kcame here on a sunday very very sloooow service on top of waiting for over 25mins we were told to wait another 20. i got half my bfast waiting on the other half. ridiculous mind you half my bfast while sitting outside by the time i got my pancakes my eggs were cold. what a waste! we were asked if we wanted creamer for the coffee and nvr got it had to get it ourselves it wasn't even busy update... when we were leaving a new customer (white) came in they got their bfast in less than 15 mins. so i guess if you're caucasian you will get great fast service. The lady might or not have been swamped but it did not look like it there was a total of 3 tables while we were there all came in at diff times ...... We did go here in Feb. and the service and the food was great we all got our food at the same time. chicken sandwich was Bomb best chicken sandwich ever! and the bacon burger was delicious as well. so i had to call about 1/2 a dozen times before someone picked up. When i arrived i figured the place would be packed since they were too busy to answer tbe phone. to my surprise all i found was two employees one male one female sitting at a table chatting. i said hello i called in for matza ball soup please. I then asked for my yelp check in cookie. she proceeded to ask her male coworker in Spanish if she should in fact give me tbe yelp check on cookie. after they discussed this in Spanish she dropped a sorry little cookie in my bag. before i left i open the package and found a small one cup of matza ball soup, a pickle and a piece if corn bread. Corn bread and matza ball soup? i tasted the cirn bread was good just out of place wuth my meal then the soup. the soup was very oily and a strange yellow color. it had 4 slices of carrot two pieces of onion and one ball and two bits of white chicken. All tbis for $7 and change. i wont be back. i ended up driving over to bixby knolls.to get soup from Bixbys Brooklyn deli. they give you a full quart (twice the size) for $8. i prefer the home made taste snd the friendly service from Bixbys Brooklyn deli. it was worth the 4.5 mile drive If you are craving jewish penicillin go to Bixby Brooklyn deli. Just ordered some Mosher's via delivery because I couldn't leave my house. They had my food ready SO quickly and I'm so appreciative. I got the fish sandwich that came w/fries and a caramel macchiato. Sandwich was huge, not overly breaded and fried well and has this really nice tasty unique sauce and the fries are thick and seasoned well. Caramel macch was also huge and just the right amount of sweet. Would order again and recommend! read more

This place was great the prices are good and the food is delicious. The service is also very good. I just think the drinks and juices prices are a bit high but I guess they have to make up for the food prices. Mosher's is as close as I could come to a Jewish style deli in downtown Long Beach. Parking is in the back, underground or on the street. Street parking was tough on the busy street but it was a fast way to pick up a to go order and get back in traffic. They have some interesting items on the menu-including a breakfast that I heard was great. We usually get the pastrami or corned beef on rye. It is very good-plenty of meat with decent bread. It's not the best I've ever had but it was the good. Sides of french fries, mac salad or potato salad were also good and there was always a kosher dill spear. There matzo ball soup is tasty and nice when it's cold or you feel under the weather. They were also great to get juices in the morning. Not what I expected in a deli. They made a really good green juice. The prices were really good, too. If you are in the downtown Long Beach area and feeling the need for deli-this is the place to go. read more

I used to live in Camden Apts where Mosher's Deli is located but I don't think I ever tried it until I was in the neighborhood recently. My son and I were planning on meeting Daddy at the finish line of the LB Marathon so I thought it'd be nice to have some food for him right away. Stopped in here and ordered a deli ham & Swiss sandwich w/ a side of fruit. Pretty steep at almost $12 for a sandwich and some fruit! I was expecting a huge sandwich on a French roll or something but when I saw it, it was basically a sandwich using two slices of plain, white bread! I must admit, I suffered from a mild bout of buyer's remorse... But once my husband opened the Styrofoam container, he devoured it and I thought it was just cuz he, you know, ran 26.2 miles! He told me to try a bite, I did, and it was REALLY good. For something that is seemingly a plain ham and cheese sandwich, you could tell the ingredients were super fresh and of high quality. I was pleased with the food but I don't know if I'd still pay that much again. But at least you are getting what you pay for! read more

In town for a conference, noticed this place on the ride in. Walked over at lunchtime. Order at the counter, they serve to the table. I had a corned beef sandwich on rye. Came with a kosher pickle spear and I opted for fruit as a side (cole slaw, potato salad are available options). The corned beef was decent. Sliced thinner than I'm used to. Nice and lean, not much fat. Definitely not an overstuffed CB sandwich like you get back East, I estimate 3 or 4 layers of meat. Bread was thick sliced, not authentic Jewish rye. And, no Dr. Brown's cream soda. It was an OK sandwich, but if you're in the market for a genuine NY style corned beef sandwich with all the accouterments, this won't do it for you. Went here for the first time the other day and had the ham breakfast burrito. It was delicious and good size, couldn't finish the whole thing in one sitting. Nice compliment of fresh fruit on the side and they also give you salsa and sour cream. They have quite an extensive menu which is great for having options, and they sell sides of potato salad, pasta pesto, and other things in their deli case. Inside was very clean and inviting. STEPH JUDGEMENT: Good local sandwich place with some classic Jewish favorites. I'd been a fan of their location in Bixby Knolls back in the day (no longer there) and was pleasantly surprised to learn that they were right next to my new office. It's a convenient lunch place for me and I've been several times now. I've tried their corned beef on rye (good but nothing outstanding), chicken matzo ball soup (great herby matzo balls in a clear broth with chunks of white meat chicken, carrots and onions--yummy!) and tuna mazatlan sandwich (tasty tuna salad that's not too mayo-heavy with a slice of swiss). The people there are always very nice and they have a Yelp check-in offer of a free cookie, yay! They offer a lot of different items on their menu, including breakfast stuff, but I mostly go for their Jewish classics. Not the cheapest place, but portions are big and I think you get your money's worth here. read more

I got the mozzBall soup and tomato basil soup which were both very flavorful. The mozzball soup is basically chicken Noodle soup which was a good cure to my stomach ache. It had carrots, chunks of chicken breasts and this huge mozzball tastes like a vegan meatball? Not sure. The tomato basil soup tastes like good pizza in soup form which was delicious. I'm craving this again and want more. I also got the cornbread which was dry but tastes like sweet yellow cake. It's good to eat with the tomato basil soup. This place has potential. They have a good location and good branding but the quality of the deli meat doesn't match the branding. The corned beef sandwich is made from some kind of typical sandwich meat. It's not a total real deli that you would see in NY of Chicago. 2016 Yelp 100 Challenge 33/100 I found this place by accident as I was walking along Ocean Blvd back from a stroll to the bank. It was around lunch time and noticed a sign posted near the sidewalk featuring this New York style deli. It was a Friday during Lent so I needed to find a non-meat dish. The cashier was very nice and showed me all the non-meat dishes on the menu. They had a grilled fish filet sandwich lunch special so I decided to order that. They made it fresh while I waited so it was very tasty once I got it. I was pleasantly surprised and can't wait to go back and try one of the meat dishes. It really depends who is working behind the counter. The lady is nice and knows what she is doing and my orders have turned out fine when she is working. The guy doesn't know what he's doing. He serves cold fries, once put two old hard fish sticks on tortillas for fish tacos, and doesn't know that cold-pressed juices does not mean add ice water to fruit and vegetables and blend. I cannot tell you how disappointed I was with the meal I ordered to pick up from Mosher's. Alter all the online hype I couldn't have been more unhappy with my meal. I ordered a pastrami sandwich on a roll (Mosher's description) and I received minmiscule amount of pastrami obviously fried on a grill since its texture was more like bacon, and served on a soggy well past fresh sub type roll (instead of the good kaiser roll I expected).
