The flavors are bold and fresh and I loved the lingering spice from the ginger. I also tried the immune booster (also very flavorful and spicy) and chocolate detox (more of a sweet treat). I tried samples of their quick breads which were tasty as well. The wait was a little long given the amount of people that were present, but it was worth it in the end. Terrible service, we watched as people after us got their food, and when we checked where our food was, they forgot the order, and when we checked in about it we were given attitude....then they brought out the wrong order to our table, and when they finally brought the order they forgot one dish...turns out the cashier didn't ring it up so we waited and waited and were told "oh that wasn't rung up we can't get you that". The food here is very good as well! I had a chocolate mint detox smoothie and added kale and it tasted like a mint chocolate chip shake! With so many locations creating healthy dishes, vegetarian dishes, etc., Mother's has been coming up short. The price point is pretty competitive, but the flavors, preparation and presentation are lacking. Over dressed salads, under and overcooked veggies and flavorless bites. Sloppy presentation and sometimes missing ingredients. Their juices are good, but this is what is over priced IMHO. I love spending my money locally, but not when I feel it's really high. I can have my favorite pressed juices overnight delivered for $6 per juice and it's the same size. Instead of $8 and not much explanation from employees on each juice benefit. The best part of Mother's is their smoothies. The fat burner is delicious. For $9, which is more than some meals, it is large and filling. I wish their was an option for half the size and around $6. Service is 80% good. Nice employees, for counter service. They do have a reward program. Which is nice! This review is under their westside location but goes for all three locations that I have been to multiple times and have watched the decline. Growing too fast? Money before value? Not sure. Gave Mother's a try again today and they did not disappoint. Smoothie and a bagel for my daughter, sandwich for me. Service was fast, yay! I'm guessing it was just an off day the last time I went and that's why things took so long. Sandwiches were tasty, bagel and cream cheese cooked to perfection and the veggie sandwich with excellent chimichurri sauce (which I love). I was disappointed because I wasn't offered anything else and I felt pressured to still pay for the food that I scheduled for 2:40, even though it was sitting out for 6 hours, and I won't eat it. I love mother juice cafe and it is an awesome place to grab a quick bite. Today I had bad service when when I paid for my food. I was only given a portion of my money back, loosing $20, witch could have been the cashiers mistake. After this Iwhat two smoothies and one was the wrong size and they were kind to change the order. But when they gave it back to the man making the smoothies the threw it very aggressively in to the trash can and caused a very awkward feeling through the restaurant. Haven't been in a while so we ordered take out. When my husband arrived home I was surprised at the size of the wrap and salad! Their portions are so small for what they are charging and then an extra charge for take out on top of that. I always support local when we can and don't mind paying a bit more, but this is ridiculous. A $16 salad should not fit in a small 6 x 4" take out box. The food is very good and Juice is better than Active Culture in my opinion. I would come more often if the portions matched the prices. read more

Ordered the Baden-Baden breakfast sandwich which had egg, avocado, spinach, swiss & tomato. The sandwich was okay - it lacked a bit of flavor through as the egg looked to be a "manufactured" egg. I'd recommend an over-medium egg with salt & pepper to get a bit of yolk for the sandwich which would make this sandwich a home run. Mothers Juice Cafe mistreats their employees. A good friend of mine worked there for 9 years to make ends meat and was physically and emotionally abused by the head chef day in and day out. He had hot grease and iron pans thrown at him every day upon clocking in. He was hardly able to feed his 6 children with the mere $7.15/hr he was paid for the long 15 hour shifts 6 days a week. I ordered the immune enhancer smoothie as well as the bohemian wrapsody. I live nearby so i have had a wide variety of items from their menu and have always felt so satisfied. The wrap is packed with veggies that seem fairly fresh. The smoothies will always have my hear, though. Never watery, always creamy and rich flavors. I also appreciate the ability to build your own smoothie or add in so many different extras. (I always add ginger to everything.) My only complaint with Mother's is that it is fairly pricey for my budget. I do not order from here not as frequently as i would like, rather it's more of a time-to-time healthy treat. Overall though, If you can afford around $20 on a smoothie plus a wrap, then this is a go-to. read more

We stopped in for a juice this afternoon, I'm trying to "convert" my mother to the ways of juicing. She ordered the "fruit and vegetable" juice and I made my own concoction (beet, carrot with ginger). The juices were decent, but not blended that great. We LOVED Mother's Juice. A friend recommended this slightly out-of-the-way restaurant/juice bar. The orange juicer sits on the counter and smells delightful. There are a wide range of smoothies - those with soy, those with dairy, and those that are just juice. All are remarkably good. The restaurant also has high-quality soda's and juice spritzers available. The sandwiches and salads are all freshly made and full of wholesome goodness. The meats were nicely cured and there were generous portions of both the meat and cheese on the sandwiches. All the sandwiches have light-mayo which is a nice touch. The veggies were all seasonal and particularly yummy. I plan to go back for a smoothie during my stay in Bend! This is a great establishment!
