Really hope they can change their method to make that dish. The rice was good, and we're very generous with the amount. I think it could have honestly been better if they added more chicken and made the noodles softer/cooked it for longer. I don't think the ramen was worth the price point and there's plenty of nearby places that offer both quality and price. Service: 2/5 It took way too long to order. This was my first time at Motto Ramen in Westminster! As I walked in, I loved their lo-fi music and graffiti decor. I started with an order of calamari rings -- you already know I gotta get me some calamari if it's on the menu! They only serve the rings (even tho I'm more attracted to the legs) I loved how tender and crispy their calamari was. Lightly breaded and not too oily! Love that! For ramen, I tried their Motto Black Ramen -- on their Best Sellers list -- decked out in wood ear mushroom, bean sprouts, boiled egg, bamboo shoots, corn, chili paste, thick slices of pork Chashu, and of course the thing that makes their broth so special, black garlic oil. DELISH. I tried their chicken karaage. It came out hot, fresh, and crispy -- just the way I like it! I also had to order some food for Martin to go, so I got him the chicken katsu curry and shrimp udon noodles! The curry was classic and delicious. The shrimp udon noodles reminded me of a Japanese-style low mein, super tasty! We came on a Weekend day during lunch just on a whim because we were in the same plaza shopping at the daiso and were all starving. We ordered: motto black (garlic oil) pork broth ramen, chicken ramen (chicken broth), tonkotsu shoyu pork broth ramen and the shrimp udon stir fry. Every was REALLY GOOD and I was pleasantly surprised. While everything was really good, my favorites were the motto black with the garlic oil and the chicken ramen. The chasu pork slices in my motto black ramen was cooked perfectly. I love fatty pork and thought it was the perfect fat to lean meat ratio. I liked the way they charred and seared the meat too... it almost tasted braised. Whatever they did... it was perfect! The chicken ramen had a nice and light flavorful broth. It was my nephews dish but i tried it and as picky an eater as he is... he loved it! The broth had a nice light soy sauce, mushroomy, chicken flavor. We all loved it. Been here twice and loved the food every time! The black motto ramen is . You get a big bowl with the perfect amount of meat for only $16. I've taken some friends and they love it as well. Also the sushi is great too. I had the pork chasu roll and had to order another. Their other rolls are all pretty good but that one stands out. We were gonna go for Fat Burger which is next door but since it was a cold weather so having ramen sound much better. The ramen was really tasty.
