I love Mountain Mike pizza and it was Fifa world cup and thought I'd enjoy it here. They had a nice screen setup to watch. Salad bar was OK BUT, when asked about the pizza I said Peopperoni thinking they would have brought out another selection. Nope. There was me and another person and another came in after. My coworker and I were excited to enjoy the lunch buffet. we saw it was $9.99. We went during our lunch. We got here and noticed that there were no pizzas ready at 1230pm, hence they claim to start at 11 am. We paid $20.86 including a drink. 15 minutes pass by and still no pizzas. While we waited for the pizzas, we served ourselves at the salad bar. The broccoli had mold and the lettuce look old. There were barely any salad dressings. The 2 dessert items in the salad bar, ambrosia salad and the raspberry jello tasted old. We were very disappointed as time closed in for us to leave. The staff had only had 3 pizzas out, a combo, pepperoni and one that we had to request, Hawaiian during our visit. Ordered through Grubhub. Got a call immediately after placing the order that the order needed to be cancelled because they had no delivery driver. They cancelled it on their system but not on Grubhub. I have called 5 times and spoken with a manger every time and still have not gotten a refund. Keep getting told I'll receive a call from the owner and I've never gotten a call. Ridiculous, since they were the ones to cancel the order. I made a stop here to pick up some pizza on the way back from the airport. This is a really nice newer location. Lot of arcade games, giant TVs and lot of space. I got 3 sauces, two marinara and 1 garlic all 3 sauces were awful. The marinara had two huge chunks of tomato so you couldn't really dip. I ordered a bottled root beer and the root beer was flat. How do you bring me a flat bottled root beer?????? This is the first restaurant that's ever successfully sent out a bottled flat root beer, it wasn't even open. How is it already flat?? Large facility in a small shopping plaza with decent parking, and it looks to be great for birthday parties or sportsball events. I had a nasty bout of the flu over Xmas week and after not really eating for a few days I was craving pizza ... Lo and behold they were open on Xmas Day and doing pretty brisk business. I got my sausage mushroom and onion and it was just what the doctor ordered (ok close enough...). Ordered a large McKinley pizza through Uber Eats and overall had a pretty good experience, although the pizza didn't blow me away. The flavor was good and it was packed with toppings - sausage, pepperoni, olive, peppers, and was a good size to feed 3-4 people (~$33). The guy speaking to me said he cannot cancel it till his manager comes in the morning. I call the next morning and whoever answered the phone said their manager is already out. After explaining the situation, he said they'll refund it. Guess what? It's been 10 days and no refund. I came here this past Tuesday to try their pizza buffet lunch; I had never been to a Mountain Mike's before. The order taker was very courteous. There were no pizzas in the buffet counter as the order taker explained business was very slow that day (only one other customer there) at around 12 noon. But he asked me what kind of pizza i wanted and he would have one cooked for me; apparently he didn't want to put out multiple varieties of pizza if not enough people were there to eat them. Very understandable, so I asked for a sausage, mushroom, and garlic pizza and he cooked a "personal size" pizza for me and put it in the buffet counter. The pizza was pretty good and I could have ate the who thing if I wanted since only a couple of people were there and they didn't do the buffet. The buffet lunch also comes with all you can eat salad bar and all you can drink soda. I was surprised that the salad bar was pretty comprehensive and fresh as it included pasta salad and macaroni salad. The restaurant itself is spacious and clean and has ample free parking. The restroom was fairly clean. For $15.95 this was definitely a good value, even though it appears that you can only ask for one type of pizza to be put in the buffet counter unless you eat the whole thing, but I was satisfied with the one I asked for (and I could only eat 4 slices with the salad). When we called back to ask where the rest of our order was, they said the wings were out of stock and would refund us, but didn't even bother to ask for our name or order # or anything the lines of that. It's been 4 days and we hadn't seen a refund to our bank account yet. We called back today to try and speak with a manager who the person on the phone said is the"manager" and was rather rude while not giving us any information on our refund and even hung up on us twice. So this location had a big remodel but they still suck. I mean, not much changed since the remodel, honestly. The price is too high for what you get. I went for the lunch buffet and the place was trashed, dirty plates all over the place and I was there for nearly an hour and not a single plate got picked up. Poor pizza options, almost nothing to choose from. The salad was brown so I didn't even eat it. It seems like the staff is unhappy, and perhaps rightfully so, but then it makes my experience as a customer bad when I am sitting in a filthy restaurant. Why bother with a remodel if you're not gonna clean up. It's like lipstick on a pig with this remodel. 2 stars seems generous. This is a sad and depressing place. Wow I came to a party here, and this remodeled location is much better than I remember years ago. Now it's a fun place with plenty of large screens for football, some prize machines with tickets for the kids, modern casual ambiance, and the pizza isn't terrible like it used to be. Consistently, good. I actually prefer their GF pizza crust to Blue Line or Paxti's because it isn't gummy and difficult to eat the next day. Also, for the price, at least I get more than one meal worth of pizza. Honestly, $50 worth of pizza is much more than I am accustomed to for a family of 4, but that is still less than the competitors mentioned above. The inside is clean, COVID precautions are taken and my order is always available when promised, if not earlier. I do miss dining in here, as it was a fun spot for the kids and their friends. Warning, this location won't honor ANY coupons found on their website online or any that you have in your Mountain Mike's loyalty account. I live in Redwood City and used to order from the local store all the time, the Redwood City location ALWAYS honors their coupons, and I have been a customer for years. I won't be a customer anymore. Sadly, I won't patronize any of their locations again because of the way I was treated on the phone. I said I had a coupon and the person on the other end acted insulted that I even brought coupons up. He felt the need to tell me repeatedly that there were no coupons for that location. Interesting, because there are coupons all over the website that lists your restaurant as a location as well as in my loyalty account When I asked why they weren't honoring coupons, I was treated like I was insane for even asking. The person on the phone could have cared less about me as a customer and their hardline attitude about not accepting coupons is going to drive customers into the arms of another pizza place. They behave like they're the only game in town, which is going to get them in the end. Your cheap vibe and poor attitude with your customers makes me wonder about your food handling and cleanliness amongst other things. I understand that one thing doesn't necessarily lead to the other, but with that kind of attitude I'd be afraid that the employees don't care about anything else that's a part of their job either (see the other review here where the customer advises that the employee wasn't wearing a mask in the restaurant, eek). You are in the business of customer service and hospitality. If you show coupons on your website, honor them. If you have a customer you want to keep, treat them like you care. It's not rocket science, it's pizza, and you've got lots of friendly, coupon-honoring competitors out there.
