Came here coming back from Napa and was hungry so decided to check out with fairly good reviews. Got the avocado roll and it was very fresh with so much veggies and delicious sauce. Bf ordered the lemongrass thai fried rice, he liked it said it was balanced not too powerful, light but flavorful. I was a bit confused trying to figure out what kind of fried rice it was bc not traditional thai fried rice. Had some yellow curry and raisins and cashews and beef. It wasnt bad. I ordered the pad thai chicken. It was okay, not the best but okay, something in the flavor was a little off but not too much. Overall this is a small city Martinez so understandable. I came for to go on the appetizers, samosas and chicken satay but they call them grilled chicken skewers. Their peanut sauce though was a bit bland. The samosas were delicious and also the next day as well. Wait wasn't long for ordering there in person. Their parking situation seems like street parking only. I parked at a nearby lot that had parking meters but my visit was on a weekend which was free. The walk there was a bit bumpy so heads up to my disabled friends like myself I almost tripped a few times on my walk to this location so be careful because the side walk was uneven. The place was a nice enjoyable environment with character so I didn't mind myself having a hard time walking through because I was enjoying the vibes of being in a pleasant area. I've eaten here several times for lunch over the years when I find myself in downtown Martinez for court or whatever. I was hoping for a menu with lunch specials, but they didn't have one. What they did offer was free rice or cucumber salad with an entree. The green curry was good, slightly spicy but not overpowering. They gave me a very generous helping both of the curry and rice as pictured. Service was very friendly. They have a good amount of space, so the atmosphere is comfortable. It was busy for a weekday compared to other local restaurants. They do have an outdoor seating area which wasn't in use for some reason. read more

We ordered a few salads and the chicken wings on the appetizer menu and the wings were some of the best we have had in awhile. The shrimp salad was light, flavorful and fresh. We also ordered the avocado rolls which were freshly prepared and a cool snack for the road but I wouldn't suggest wrapping them in a napkin because the outside wrap is pretty sticky. This is a cute and modern Thai restaurant in Martinez. There is metered parking nearby. The restaurant felt spacious with high ceilings and modern decor. The waiters were attentive and quick. The tables are spaced apart in a manner that felt comfortable. I tried eggplant with tofu and coconut soup with chicken. I also ordered a cup of brown rice. The eggplant was cooked perfectly, not too hard and not too soggy. Every bite was filled with garlic and basil in a savory sauce that had the prefect blend of sweetness and salt. The soup was also fragrant with lemongrass and coconut it, and so flavorful. The brown rice was soft and easy to eat. The portions were generous. I ordered the yellow curry with chicken during lunch time but just the entree with no rice. The curry itself was decently flavorful (much better the 2nd day honestly as i only ate half the first day) but personal preference is I didn't enjoy the bell pepper in it. The side of pickled cucumbers that came with it was amazing. So fresh and still had the right amount of crunch. I have heard that this restaurant was yummy and I've been wanting to go there for awhile. Well yesterday was finally the day! I went here for my first time. I went in the afternoon. The front door was open and a sign was out front but the sign on the door said Closed so I wasn't sure if they were open or not. I ordered a Singha beer which a great beer and thanks to the waiter Zack's suggestion I got the avocado roll from the Starter section of the menu. It was delicious! For my main dish I got the lemongrass dish that came with rice. I decided to get brown rice and for my protein choice I went with tofu. The tofu had a yellow curry flavor and it was delicious. I do wish that there was more lemongrass as I was hoping for big pieces of lemongrass. But it was super delicious and satisfying and the portion size was great. I went on a weekday and there was parking out front, no issues finding a spot. I like the high ceilings in the restaurant that gave it an open feeling. As I was leaving they were ending dining room lunch service at 2:30 and had turn away a group that wanted to eat. So keep that in mind if you want to visit. So in conclusion I would definitely go back. I really enjoyed the flavor. Staff was nice. I would give an honest 4.5 stars. Since Yelp doesn't allow half stars I will round up to 5. read more

Great ambiance, really cool paintings on the wall. It's spacious so socially distancing is enforced. They also have outdoor seatings. The location is in the edge of downtown Martinez so you may not stumble upon it when exploring unless you've specifically searched for a Thai place. We had the platter as an appetizer, very tasty - however the Satay could use improvement, but could be just the batch we got. Penang Curry is tasty and great spices, really enjoyed the eggplants in the dish. I ventured to something new and I had the Vermicelli Bowl - it was cold noodles, and not one with warm soup like a pho. This was one of my regular lunch spots when I worked in Martinez years ago. They still provide a fantastic menu with delicious food. I really enjoy the curries, and soups. Round 2 review for my third visit. Right when I walked in I was greeted warmly, offered a seat and a beverage and felt welcomed. When it comes to the staff I've got nothing but compliments, keep hiring fun and lively folks. FOH saved the BOH for 3 of 5 stars. But now it's time for BOH to step it up. Once again I'm super disappointed in the lack of effort put into the vegetables added into every dish. Full, half, and or barely prepared vegetables and thin sauces makes these dishes more of a Pinterest recipe rather than a dining experience. Martinez is up and coming, and you will need to up your game to stay competitive with the newer generation of residents. I ate here once for dinner for a Meetup group. I have to say I enjoyed eating here when I got invited. I had the Mango Chicken which came out good! I shared it with my Meetup group which they enjoyed having. Then Crispy Rolls was amazing. So crispy and delicious. I wish I didn't eat mine right away. The Pad Thai was wonderful. COVID review below: Whenever I'm craving Thai food this is my local spot. The latest craving took place this past Friday. It's the first time we've been here since the start of COVID but definitely won't be the last. I placed the phone order just after 5pm and the food was ready about 20 minutes later. Once we arrived the staff was super friendly (and wearing masks) and promptly retrieved our order. For about $45 including tax we received the following items: Sweet Basil with beef (requested mild), Yellow Curry with chicken and Combo Pad Thai (beef, chicken, pork and tofu). The Sweet Basil included basil (go figure), onion, bell pepper, bamboo shoots and string beans along with our choice of protein (beef). The string beans were perfectly cooked and not soggy at all while the beef was well seasoned. The yellow curry with chicken included potato, carrot, bell pepper and onions. The curry had a nice, subtle flavor and went well with the side of jasmine rice we ordered. Lastly the combo pad thai was everything you would expect; a nice sweet flavor along with tender noodles. Overall I would say the portions are better than most. Not only did we have dinner for Friday, but we also had dinner covered for the following two nights. Between two people I would say that's definitely a solid value. If you haven't been here yet and you're looking for a local Thai spot, this should be at the top of your list! read more

We ordered the avocado rolls, drunken noodles with beef and yellow curry with chicken. First off, the avocado rolls were ehh. It was just a regular spring roll with avocado. I would say the one thing that saved the appetizer was the peanut sauce. As for the Drunken noodle, it was more sweet than spicy. I was expecting more of a spicy kick but left my taste buds with more of a sweet and tangy taste. Definitely did not taste like other drunken noodles I've had before. And their yellow curry was decent. Overall, restaurant was nice and spacious. I can see why people go here for their lunch break but it didn't taste like the authentic Thai food I've had in San Francisco. read more

Pretty good food but not sure if I would come back. I came here with friends on a weekend and the restaurant is located in downtown Martinez. It was easy to find parking. The food was good overall but we had a little incident I wasn't happy about. When the server brought our food, the spoon felt. The sever behind him picked it up and put it in our dish. She did this in front of us. When we said something the server who originally brought our food was like no she didn't, it is a new spoon. It was a weird interaction and not very pleasant. It just didn't leave me very happy. I think the food is good, we had several dishes and they have pretty good flavor. They are all main dishes and they don't come with rice. You have to order it on the side. We had two different chicken curry dishes- Panang and Yellow Curry $12.50 (my two favorites) , Pad Sew Ew $12 it had a lot of veggies and good flavor, Pad Thai $12, Mango Rice $13.50, and Lemon Grass Soup $12 not bad but not my favorite.
