I come here pretty often and most of the times service is okay to poor but the last time I went in the service was absolutely horrible. I only asked if they could warm up my pastry and the girl there rolled her eyes and warmed it up and dropped my stuff on the when it was done.I don't understand why she had to be so rude. Perhaps she's had to deal with many rude customers that day?? But if I have to feel sorry for asking them to warm up my pastry and then receive this kind of service, I'd rather go somewhere else. This place is pretty cute! And delicious! I got these light pink cookies and cream macaron ice cream & my best friend got a strawberry smoothie with boba. Both were delicious. The bakery has a lot of assorted breads, sweets and different types of macarons. We came in about 30 or 40 minutes prior to closing so employees were starting to put things up and clean up so it didn't look as inviting but nonetheless, still pretty cute. The interior of the whole place is pretty adorable but I noticed there was a lot of wear and tear in the booth seats which looked rather unattractive. I've been here many many times for the fruit cake and never disappointed. So, we got a fruit cake for father's day and everyone in my family who ate the cake constantly have to go to the bathroom! :'( We got fruit cake on different occasions throughout the year and never had this problem before, so I don't know what's wrong with the one we just got. We probably got a bad one. Every one in my family is afraid to touch the cake ever again, even my 3 y/o son who loves it and never says no to it. I feel as there is only tous le jous and Mozart if you want to eat Korean bread. However out of the two I would pick Mozart. There is two location the one herein Carrollton by h mart and the second one by Royal lane. This one is always busy so if you want a more secluded one you should go to the one In Royal lane. I guess since it is winter time there is no shaved ice but the snowflakes milk one. There seem to be only two options either the blueberry cheesecake or some vanilla one. We chose the blueberry Cheesecake one and it was gold however the cheesecake wasn't the creamy ones I was expecting but more of a pound cake like. There breads are good but you need to eat them pretty quickly because they usually go bad within the week. Even faster if it has cream in it. read more

My advice: Skip the pastries, go for the cakes. This is my go-to place for celebratory cakes, whether it's for a housewarming, birthday or holiday party. I've visited many bakeries in the DFW area, and Mozart is my favorite. Although I think their pastries and craft drinks are mediocre and too sweet, I absolutely love their fresh cream cakes. I've tried multiple cakes here, such as their Fresh Cream Strawberry Cake, Fresh Cream Blueberry Cake (seasonal), Fresh Cream Sweet Potato Cake (seasonal), and Fresh Cream Fruit Cake, Green Tea Buttercream Cake (meh), and even Tiramisu (2nd fav). My favorite is definitely the Fresh Cream Fruit Cake! It is a double-layer sponge cake covered with a generous layer of fresh whipped cream and assorted fruits on top. The whip cream is so deliciously light, fluffy, and creamy, and surprisingly doesn't overpower the rest of the cake. The cake is not too sweet--perfect for my Asian taste buds. I usually order my cakes 1-2 days ahead of time, because I like to ask for either a special written message or decorations on each cake. They usually write the special message on a small, thin milk chocolate bar, like "Happy Birthday, -blank-!" or "Congratulations, -blank-!" For New Year's, they usually decorate the cakes with cute little signs for more impact. And they'll even provide colorful candles! A medium-sized cake is $30-35 dollars, depending on the style and in my experience can comfortably feed 8-12 people. I've even feed 20+ people once though, so it really depends on the crowd. Sure, it is pricier than your average Kroger or Tom Thumb $15 cake, but the taste and quality are worth the extra cost to me. I used to buy cakes from Tous le Jour and 85 Degrees for parties, but now, I realize for the same amount of money, their cakes pale greatly in comparison to Mozart's. The bakery also has a nice sitting area. My friends and I sometimes come here after a meal, and play board games while we eat cake and sip hot tea. It's quite relaxing, and the staff is kind enough to let us stay for 2+ hours. read more

I go there mainly for the bakery items. Got there late at 10PM on a weekday and there was nothing left. But I had a nice slice of red velvet cake and it tasted good. The portion size could be bigger but its smaller and cheaper than like cheesecake factory. Another visit I was there for the cafe and bakery items in the early morning on a weekday. There was a big bakery selection and I was able to get an item that I wanted that was made the day before at 50% off. It was quiet then and I had a booth that had a power port for my laptop. Good place if you need a place to work out of the office on a weekday. The Wifi at that time was good and consistent. The booths give some good privacy for working, its better than 85C or a Starbucks or Mcdonalds. The bakery items are fresh when purchased in the morning and tasted great. I am a savory food lover and very rarely do I get excited about sweets... unless I know I'm going to Mozart Bakery! Their goodies are so delicious, and there is always so much variety. BEST macaroons I've ever had. Cronuts are awesome. My absolutely favorite treat here is this layered buttercream and white and chocolate cake concoction that I jokingly refer to as the "dessert hamburger." That buttercream tho. WAAAY better than the overly sweet crud that most bakeries pile on their cakes. At Mozart's you can actually still taste the butter in there, mmmm. I have been coming to this cafe since I was in high school, interchangeably with Cafe Brown Sugar. The cafe used to be smaller and more cozy. There is a separate corner for pastries next to the cashier stand, and several booths and tables along the walls. The cafe has gone under renovation, which made the cafe more spacious, but also more awkward in my opinion. There is a lot of empty space on the floor once you walk in, and a random booth section next to the pastry aisle that throws the balance of the place off. One of the pros of this place was the booths, they have different sizes, from small to large, and each came with its own outlet. The wifi is slow, however, because there are so many people connected to it so I have chosen not to go and study here anymore. The service is mediocre to awful in the times I have gone though. There has never been a time where I was pleased with the service. There was an occasion when my sister ordered a citrus tea, COLD, and they served it hot. She told them of their mistake and they were too cheap to make her a new one and didn't even apologize. She was forced to take the drink she had because they didn't even offer a refund but ever since then we haven't really gone back. The pastries are good, but the macarons are so overpriced and have gotten increasingly smaller in size over the years. The drinks are mediocre as well, as I have ordered on multiple occasions but now don't find myself pondering the drink menu anymore. They have sandwiches in the refrigerated window which are great for snacking on when studying, but also a bit pricey. But that is definitely expected from a cafe. Overall, I haven't really gone back to this cafe since the incident with poor service and have found other cafes that can provide relatively the same foods and drinks. Not terrible, not good, just meh. Don't be fooled by the novelty of it, but the macaron ice cream sandwich has got to be one of the most disappointing desserts I've bought. You get to choose the color of the macaron cookie and the flavor of the ice cream. Cool, right? In theory. But goodness, where do I begin? The macaron cookie/shell just fell apart at first bite. I got the green tea ice cream and it is terrible! It tasted minty and frost-like as if it has been sitting in the freezer for too long. The taste is so off-putting that my friends and I could not finish it. I also tried their bing soo which is about $10 -- a price I consider to be on the higher end. They are probably #1 in the market for light French-Asian baked goods. Lots of pastry options with cream. The shaved ice ($10) has a lot of ice, but it makes for an interesting experience to consume. Seems like there are a lot of Korean families and UTD / nearby unviersity students who come here to study. Some of the booths are really dark, but there's ample seating. It's a bit too spacious to be a coffee shop, a bit more coffee shop-y to be just a grab and go bakery... and personally I think it's kind of cold. All that said, their cakes are excellent if you're looking for something that is not too sweet yet is ornately decorated. Very popular among the Chinese-American community in the area. read more

I don't think all of the seating was updated, but there are some new communal tables as well as high top seating with seats that are awkwardly high in relation to the table. I was able to snag a booth with an outlet but it was pretty dark, so I had to turn my keyboard lighting all the way up. The staff was rude so that hasn't changed but service is quick. As someone who is very picky, and isn't a fan of most sweets, Mozart is fantastic! I have a problem with a lot of things tasting too artificial or having an awful and overpowering sweetness to it. However, with Mozart I seem to win almost every time! I highly recommend their walnut and chocolate cookies, their chocolate shell cookies, tiramisu, and the mango and lemon macarons! The only thing I haven't liked here so far were the chocolate and strawberry macaron, but like I said before, I am quite picky with my sweets! It's also a lot better to go study than any Starbucks. The booths are large and spacious, the internet tends to cut out a bit but it's nothing too awful! If anything it helps me not stay on Facebook too long when I keep having to restart it! Most of the time I enjoy visiting Mozart's. They have great pastries, but sometimes they are stale/old. The reason for my 2 stars is purely for the bad service & spoiled cake. I drove to Carrolton to pick up a cake for my father's birthday. I asked there person who was helping if the cake was baked recently and she obviously looked and annoyed and said yes. We ate that cake the same evening and it had gone bad. As much as I love korean pastries, I think I'm going to have to reconsider purchasing goods from Mozart's. However, when I stood at the counter for about 30 seconds to a minute when there was no line, that's a problem. I went here to purchase a cake. I asked the girl behind the counter to help me package up the cake I had selected. After it was packed, I saw a sign that said all of their cakes contain alcohol. I asked the girl what that meant and she barely explained to me exactly what that means/how they use it in the recipe. I prefer to not have that in my cake, so I told her that I didn't want it anymore. She glared at me and furiously unboxed the cake to put it back. It has been a few years since I've come back to this place and I must say... this place has definitely redeemed itself. I was craving for something sweet after stuffing my face with lunch a few doors down and my mom convinced me to join her for a bowl of Patbingsu (Korean Shaved Ice). I was about to order it but my unborn child betrayed me and didn't give me enough space in my belly to eat more so I settled for their iced hazelnut latte. OH MY FREAKING HOLLY. That was so satisfying. Not sure if it was because I hadn't had good iced coffee in a while or because my unborn child approved of this sugary drink. I came here solely for a cronut. After stuffing ourselves full of Korean BBQ at Omi, we all needed a little sugar rush before the drive back to Fort Worth! I was pleasantly surprised that they still had several baked goods in the baskets lining the walls. I got a Bavarian crème cronut and the man friend got the strawberry one. We also picked up some crème filled pastries, milk bread, a green tea macaroons and milk tea. I enjoyed everything but the milk tea! It was way too sweet. It was syrupy from the sugar. Bleh. The strawberry cronut was my favorite, followed by the green tea macaroon. It cute inside and there's tons of booths to relax in while you get your sugar fix. One of my cello students brought me a box of goodies from Mozart Bakery. I'm nomming on these goodies as I write this review. First of all, these little cakes are so pretty I'm sad to eat them. They are like miniature pieces of art. But, after I take a bite I'm glad I decided to let my other senses get into the game. These babies are delish! They are very delicate in texture and flavor. None of these treats are super sweet, which is great because I don't have a very big sweet tooth. I've been to the bakery once before. It is located next to my dog's daycare center (Woofgang's Doggie Daycare). Last time I was there, I just picked up some breads. They were wonderful as well. Sugar Bear has come here for sweets and coffee. He likes the groovy feel of the bakery. He says it is a fine place to chill and kill some time. read more

My friends and I are super fond of going here after( or before) an evening of purikura. It's a carb addict's dream come true. They have macarons, sweet rolls of all kinds, these hot chicken pot pie type croquettes if you're not in the mood for sweets, and melon bread! The melon bread is amazing. :D There's so many things to try that I've never tasted before, it's hard to not stuff myself here. You pick out what you want to eat by picking up this basket, and browsing these open baskets full of (usually) wrapped baked goods of all kinds. The pot pie things are in a hot box over by the counter. There's also a refrigerated display case full of cakes and parfaits across from the rows of baskets of tasty things. So far I have not tried anything from the cake section, because they look so good, they look fake. I'm sure they're real, and I'll eventually have a big enough sweet craving to cave and eat some delicious kiwi topped exotic cake. The booths here are also super fun. Most of the booths in the back half of the restaurant let you pull down a privacy shade so you can be as loud and as rambunctious as you like without disturbing others.
