I hadn't been home to Plano since December and I'd seen numerous photos on Instagram about this place. So I bookmarked it and knew I had to try it. Yesterday was the day, and I wasn't disappointed. Mozart is huge, and full of wonderful breads and sweets. They have tapioca and shaved ice too! I didn't try their macarons as I am a bit tired of them, and so I decided to try their pastries instead. My sister and I couldn't decide on which so we got a few; the green tea, mocha, white peach mousse, and the cafe one. They were wrapped up and we eagerly drove home to consume our sugary snackies. The green tea cake was moist, and sandwiched with buttercream and dusted with matcha powder. But lacked in the intense green tea flavor I had hoped for. The Mocha cake was subtle, not too sweet, and moist. It was also sandwiched with buttercream, but flavored with coffee. I'm not huge on buttercream but it wasn't abundant on there.The white peach mousse. OH MY GOD. yes! I'd come home more often if this was waiting for me at the door. It was light, sweet, and just wonderful. This is definitely a must try. The cafe one was too strong and bitter. Not my cup of tea. Mozart has and will be good especially their breads and pastries. I usually go to the location in Carrollton but happened to be nearby so I came here. I never knew there was a location in plano other than the one next to the hmart in Plano and was surprised so see this location hidden in a small complex. The place is very small but cozy and has pretty much everything you can find at a normal Mozart. I came here to buy a couple slices of cake for a friend's bday. I came pretty late around 7pm on a Saturday after dinner and everything seemed sold out. There wasn't much breads out and a lot of the cakes were gone. I ended up getting the last slice of the sweet potato cake and the green tea one. The cakes were pretty good like always. Even though the cafe was small, it was still easy to grab seats and find a place to sit. The tables were a bit dirty but it wasn't that big of a deal since we were eating on top of something. All the forks and napkins and water were located in the same place so it was easy to grab everything. Overall not a bad place but I think I will stick to the carrolton location since its closer and bigger. read more

Just went today and I will be going back! Friday early afternoon I walk in and am greeted with a happy "Welcome!" which I always love to hear. I'm offered help once and I refuse then just wonder around; I like looking around alone. Everything was so very cute and happy in there! Not to mention they played j-pop and k-pop music, which I love! The lady that cashed me out was very sweet and attentive; there was another girl there and they both seemed to be very hard at work baking. I got the Cafe Latte cake which I haven't tried yet, a melon bread and the green tea and red bean buns. The buns I'm not sure if I like yet; I've never had red beans and I hope they grow on me (it might be a tad dry). The melon bread was slightly sweet and very soft and I'll definitely buy more. My honey pomegranate tea was ready in less than 5 minutes which makes me worry about it's freshness. I'm finding it hard to finish because it just tastes like pomegranate syrup. read more

This bakery is amazing. Not only does it sell delicious European style mousses & such fare, they also have an excellent variety of East Asian style pastries. Also, they sell a wide variety of bubble teas and smoothies. The mango smoothies are sinfully good & so refreshing especially with this heat. They have a great hot tea selection as well. There are plenty of comfortable chairs and benches where to seat and enjoy your purchase as well as to study or chat with friends. fantastically beautiful cakes can be found here. the cake is light as a cloud. the icing is airy and not cavity inducing sweet. the decorations are simple yet eye catching. there's a spot in houston that serves up similar sweets. we need a place like this in austin. This Mozart is always a hit or miss for me. It's a bit annoying how they don't have the most attentive staff ever (at least at this location) - I don't think I've ever had to put so much effort into flagging down someone just so I could get a cake. With that said, it's usually worth it since their cakes are usually pretty solid - light and not too sweet but still with that oh-so-addictive whipped cream frosting. That is, until the same aforementioned unfortunate experience where the cake literally tasted like it had been put out on display for at least a week. If I'm paying for an expensive Asian cake, I want a freaking delicious one - not a stale one! The cold sandwiches - meh my stomach felt weird after eating one once.. coincidence or not I don't know, but maybe they left that one out for too long too. Their only saving grace at this point is the bread (sometimes you can get day old bread for buy one get one free) and pastries/little cake slices - those are actually consistently good and stomach-pleasing. I have found it extremely hard to find bubble tea in the Plano area and luckily Mozart saved the day. Off Highway 75, you can enter a very cute quaint and quiet cafe where you can study, eat, drink coffee, and embrace that whole nonchalant lax mood you always hope for in a cafe. FOOD: Baked goods are what makes up the cafe but the macaroons are definitely the yummiest! You can buy green tea, strawberry, and other flavors individually for about $2 each or you can get a pack of 6 for $12. The bubble tea unfortunately they don't have honey milk tea but they have a frozen shake version which hits at $3+ for a regular size. You can work at this cute place only if you speak Korean. =) The owner only speaks korean. Also, they stay open until 9 pm which is good for those nightly cravings for sweet stuff. read more

This little Korean cafe in super H-Mart Plano area I stopped by with my girl to grab some snacks and hang out. I love the atmosphere and decorations inside. It is really nice and clean. This place is has a large selection of desserts and drinks with lots of booth seating and free wifi. It's good to hang out with friends or family, or studying. My favorite drink is green tea smoothies with bubbles. Always delicious! Don't forget to try the macarons here! Taste the best so far that I've had in the DFW area. Service is very fast! Who knew this awesome little bakery and cafe existed in this shopping center?! I sure didn't, but after trying the Carrollton location I thought I would try this one out. It's similar to the other spot in how it's set up, just a tad bit smaller. I went straight for the pastry section off to the side and picked out some goodies. I had been hearing about cronuts so much for the past year so it was pretty awesome to see that they make them here. Picked up some of those. They have such a big selection of pastries as well. A lot of things I have never heard of. My other half loves the egg white cookies because they taste like the ones he used to eat as a child back home. My favorite pick from Mozarts is the macarons. After a date night with my wife I decided to look up a coffee shop on my faithful Yelp App and found we pretty close to Mozart Bakery which had good reviews. Unfortunately however our experience was everything but good. We arrived about 9:15 which was 45 minutes before closing. We were the only ones there besides the workers so I was looking forward to some quiet conversation with my wife. We were not greeted, nor was there a smile, nothing nada, zilch! Well maybe a frown from the girl at the counter as if we had dashed her hopes of closing up early which may have been the case, but 45 minutes early?? My wife ordered some peach strawberry mousse which she liked, but I did not. I also ordered a pecan cookie, which was ok with my coffee but would have been a little tough without. Ten minutes into our conversation I noticed the ladies behind the counter shuffling their stuff and getting belongings together and setting them on the counter. It seemed like a hint. We obliged and left, mood killer. We might have given this place another try at a point in the future, but honestly the service we received left us no desire to come back. I go here all the time! I buy pastries and bread for the week here often, and my favorite drink they make is the iced green tea latte. Although small, their macarons are yummy and their frozen ice cream macaron sandwiches are good as well. They've got great wifi and great seating if you're looking for a place to study! Most of the time their staff is welcoming and nice, but the 4/5 is for the once in a while bad experience I've had coming in when they are close to closing. I myself have worked in the food industry and know how irritating it is when customers walk in 10 minutes before close up and all of the machines are washed and clean, and all the food has been prepped for the next day. But I've come in an hour or two before they close on a weekday and have received glares and have been told they're out of a lot of key ingredients. Convinced my husband to drive 20 minutes to get a cronut at Mozart. He pointed out each donut shop we passed along the way. We both picked out a cronut. At first bite, my husband joined me in the cronut fan club. His response was "Worth the drive!" Their pastries and bread are legit! I came here with my roomie after lunch because we were craving something sweet and are big fans of Mozart in Carrolton. We arrived at around 3 PM on a Saturday and to our surprise, there weren't that many people. Maybe a few customers and us two. The girls working there were very rude. When we walked in, they just stared and went back to their phones. We went over to the already packaged desserts and I picked up something that looked like donuts. Apparently, they were lemon and chocolate flavored. When we walked over to the glass counter to ask them to get a couple of mini mousse cakes for us, they just stared at us once again and looked at their phones. I asked them nicely if they could help up in which they shrugged and one of them walked over the counter. We picked out our cakes. I got the raspberry mousse cake. I tried to make small talk with her but she just ignored me. Talk about rude. Besides that, the desserts were a hit and a miss. The mousse cake was pretty good, but the donut-like dessert was definitely not. The consistency was that of a cake donut, which I did not mind. The problem was that it did not taste like lemon or chocolate at all. I had to look at the ingredients list just to see if there was actually lemon and chocolate in it. Sure enough, there was, but I could not taste anything resembling lemon or chocolate. Also, the donuts tasted like oil. Obviously, whoever fried these things did not change the oil out. It was disgusting. I would definitely not come back here again. The desserts weren't great and the staff was definitely the most unpleasant people I have encountered at any of the Mozart bakeries. Mozart is a Korean Bakery with a variety of bread, cakes and beverages. You can usually find them where Korean restaurants and markets are. I've never had a miss with their bread. I've had a few and they are all good with a good amount of filling. Each are individually wrapped which is great too! The cakes are sold by the whole or by slice. I've had both. The whole cakes are delicious. It is not overwhelmingly sweet and the sponge is so fluffy and moist! The whipped cream they use is lite and has the perfect sweetness to them. Presentation is on point too. The cake slices on the other hand.. I WILL NOT RECOMMEND. Maybe these particular ones were a day or two old or something... but it was so dry. I will always get the whole slices whenever I want cake from here. The slices are very pricy btw. $4-$5 per slice, while their bread is only $1-$2! Great place. I ordered the Black Forest cake, which was lucky because it was the last one in stock. The cake was yummy and had a good amount of rich chocolate, which I absolutely loved. I also got a medium hot chocolate which was great. I went when it was late at night, so it was sort of hard to find at first, especially since that there is a LOT of traffic being done in that parking lot and around the intersection of Spring Creek and Custer. Be careful to watch out for missing chunks of pavement near that area because of the construction. But it's a great place to be. The owner speaks Korean, and her English isn't the greatest, but the employees are bilingual, and will help you out in anyways. read more

I've heard about the Mozart in KoreaTown (Carrollton) and was super excited when I found out that there was one built right next to my school. I went in the store and was amazed by all the beautiful and yummy looking cakes and pastries! The strawberry roll cake and strawberry mousse tart are my favorites :3 I speak korean and was pretty excited to use my skills but the server wouldn't even look at me until she was accepting my payment... I was a bit taken aback by her coldness but decided that the pastries were good enough to go back again. In October, I returned to Mozart with the hopes of finding a pretty asian-style birthday cake and was pretty upset about the lack of help with choosing the pricey ones set before me. Basically, what you saw was what you get and they don't make requests either, I was really disappointed but the guy was pretty nice and funny that day and even gave me candles and omg I even got a smile! XD Despite the hot and cold reactions, I still really like this place. I just hope that the staff becomes more friendly, so that one day I might be comfortable sitting and relaxing there. read more

I love Mozart! I've been to all the locations in the Dallas area, but this one is the closest to me. I love the cakes! They are beautiful and so hard to find in American places! I.e. The sweet potato cake! Yum! The drinks are also delish! Try the Lychee slush, it's so refreshing. Only complaint is that the desserts do get a bit expensive, but the bread is so reasonably priced! Love the chocolate croissant! Also, this location does NOT have outlets for your laptops. So if you expect to use the internet, don't be surprised that your laptop can't be charged unless you sit in the middle of the bakery! read more

Pretty good selection of coffee and other drinks and plus they have the fresh korean bakery goods inside. I enjoy my coffee made the way I want(they are good about making the coffee the way you want) and munchin on a nice korean redbean bun on a weekend afternoon with my hubby. I have come to love their macaroons- they are chewy on the inside and crunchy on the outside with nice fillings in between. They are on the sweeter side but they really compliment coffee and tea if you were to have them together. The seatings within the bakery are cozy and comfortable. You can bring a friend or a book and sit there with your coffee and a baked good for hours lol. It definitely reminds me of those cutely decorated cafe in LA. Came here specifically for the macaroon ice cream! You can customize the color of the macaroon but they only had one flavor, but you can choose from a variety of ice cream flavors. There was nothing unique about the mint chocolate chip and cookies and cream, just ice cream from the grocery store. Today we were at Mozart bakery-Plano, ordered 2 slices of cake, 2 cream buns (heaven) a Black Forest cake and a slice of Marble pound cake. Amazing taste, fresh bakery food and kind respectful staff. When we got home and opened the sliced cake it was wrapped professionally my son loved it , cream buns were exactly as you get in a British Tea shop taste...and presentation. It's definitely not a place for the frugal, but its aesthetically pleasing sweets may win over any customer. Mozart bakery was originally open in conjunction with Assi Korean Market, which is now an Indian grocery store, hence the variety of asian inspired pastries/bread in the left wing of the bakery. If you're not an aficionado of Asian style breads, explore the bakery with an open mind. The workers have been very friendly every time I've stepped into the bakery. There is also seating available for those who need a nice serene place to study and booths for those who prefer the more sit-down, intimate feel. I haven't tried their drinks, but I know that the prices range around the same as starbucks. I have tried their macaroons, and they're delicious! I read a negative review on their macaroons, but I've been on a desperate macaroon hunt for the past two days and decided to give Mozart bakery a fair shot. The first thing I noticed were the various flavors they offered (vanilla, strawberry, coffee, chocolate, raspberry, green tea, orange, mango, blueberry) The nicely and individually packaged macaroons only upholds the "fancy" element of this bakery. The second thing that caught my eye was the "$1.30" sign for the macaroons. I was almost already convinced that these macaroons were a godsend. I tried the vanilla macaroon. Yum. Although it wasn't the FINEST macaroon compared to $2.50 ones from Austin, it was still very satisfactory.
