Mr. BBQ is hands down my favorite Korean bbq spot that I've tried! This is an all you can eat spot where you can either go for the standard menu for $44/pp or a premium menu for $55/pp. I went for the premium menu but ordered off both menus and let me say, all the meats here are AMAZING! My favorite meat to order is the galbi--I highly recommend ordering this. Alongside the amazing food, the service and vibes here are great as well. Our server checked on us often, changed our grill without us asking, and brought us sauces throughout our meal for us to try. Wait times here can be long dependent on when you go, so be sure to keep that in mind.

Place was fairly busy and service was still very quick and attentive. There were a lot of very good banchan dishes. From the lunch menu, we got 1. USDA prime beef brisket* good 2. Marinated USDA choice ribeye too sweet 3. Premium Wagyu beef belly* good 4. Marinated USDA prime chuck eye too sweet 5. Spicy marinated chicken: ok 6. Finely sliced pork belly good 7. spicy garlic pork butt too sweet 8. bean stew good 9. steamed egg ok I can see why it's popular. Overall food was better than expected. It's a bit far but would come back if in the area.

The wait is just as long as everyone tells you: at least two hours. There is a Boba shop right next-door so my friends and Ithere got a drink and waited it out. This is one of our friends favorite places to come to every time he is in the OC so we had to try it. Honestly, the meat was super high-quality and everything was really good. On the other hand were very low quality in my opinion. The radish paper tasted very old and we told the waiter and he got us new batch, but it was the same and we just did not want to take the risk anymore. The waiter was extremely professional, and so it wasn't his fault. Would come again only if someone really wanted to try it out, but the weight isn't necessarily worth it in my opinion. Atmosphere is pretty fun though, especially for birthdays!

Great experience and service thanks to Kaipo our server! The wait time was exceptionally long at over 2 hours when checking in at 5 pm on a Saturday. Luckily, our party of 7 utilized the time to catch up and play games as we waited. Since the waitlist is attached to Yelp, you can frequently check your status via the text link or through the app. Once we seated, we ordered immediately. Service was fast, the grill was efficient, and we ran into no issues once we got down to cooking. Kaipo took great care of us, memorized our orders accurately, brought us all the things we needed, and was very kind. We loved getting to know our server, as this made the experience very memorable and personal. Our favorite meats to order were the beef belly and rib fingers. Other notable picks included brisket and fresh pork belly (thick cut pork belly). Steamed egg was also included which was amazing!! Spicy sauce and sesame oil upon request. During our visit, we celebrated a birthday as well. LED sign, sparkler candle, and ice cream was brought out accompanying a song choice/artist that we liked. This was a special birthday and very celebratory. Only downside to this restaurant is parking can be tough. The lot is small and they share it with another small dessert spot that reserves 3 spots, in addition to take out and check in parking reserved spots as well. Leaving only the back area and one row in the front, you may need to wait around to park or get dropped off. Dinner price currently is $43.99 and premium dinner is $54.99. No drinks included.

Heads up, the parking lot is brutal and shared for 2 businesses. Carpool as much as possible during peak times! Came here for my friend's birthday with a party of 7 and had a great time. Apparently this is THE spot for birthdays. They bump the speakers and serve a huge sparkler with the complimentary ice cream, I think every 15 minutes we heard it go off during our time here lol. Good vibes. It's a bit on the pricier side (what isn't nowadays ) but they make up for it with a strong selection. We got the premium ayce menu which is about $55 per person. Some highlights: Scallop (premium menu only) - at first I was a bit skeptical but this is a must try if you like scallops. Juicy and well marinated - delicious and smoky after cooking. The rib and new york strip are also well-sized and very satisfying to eat. Classic staples like beef belly and tongue are solid too. Service was excellent - everyone was very friendly and attentive. Overall, highly recommend

I've been to Mr. BBQ several times. Always had a good experience when I could get in. Biggest problem with the place is the frequent long waits. But this review is primarily about my most recent experience with the service. We were waited on by Aaron D. and he was on top of things from the beginning. Often anticipating our needs, observant, and never intrusive. The service was perfect. He made the experience better than any in the past. I wanted to make sure he was properly recognized. We'll be back more often with service like that!

we had a great experience today at Mr. BBQ! we came right at 11 so we didn't have to wait any time to be seated. As soon as we sat down, they brought out so many sides, we were surprised, and all of them were delicious. It is premium AYCE, i highly recommend the woobaesal! Cherry on top was our waiter, Weston, who was so attentive and friendly. We had amazing time!

Food was great, we went on a day that was 94 degrees and hadn't been back since 3years our waitress was sweet but we asked politely if they could turn up the AC and manager said no. Ice cream was surprisingly good as well! We were dripping but wanted kbbq and because of the no I give it 4/5. I Would maybe think twice before going back!

They have pretty crazy wait times and lines. Came to eat here at 7pm on a Friday night, my friend waitlisted us at 5pm. Honestly would not have ate here if I had to wait here for so long. Could be very loud at the times especially if people have birthdays and it could get hard to hear each other. They have different price menus, with the more expensive menus including extra items. We really loved the beef brisket and ordered a lot of servings of those, but all menus included the classic cuts of meat such as brisket, bulgolgi, pork belly etc. They also have a good selection of seafood such as squid and shrimp. Waiter was attentive with refills on orders and changing grill. And they serve dessert at the end!

Mr. BBQ is one of those spots that always seems to have a wait, but for good reason. Pro tip: join the waitlist before heading over, but you have to be within 5 miles for it to work. Definitely helps because this place stays packed. There's a decent-sized parking lot, but parking can still be tough just because it's always busy. Inside is huge though, with plenty of tables and enough space to handle larger groups, which is probably why you see so many birthday dinners here. If you've been, you already know the candle/firework birthday presentation always gets the whole room's attention. They have several menu options too, including kids, lunch, dinner, and premium, so there's something for everyone depending on how hungry you are and what you're in the mood for. Service really stood out this visit. Aaron was on it the whole time--super attentive, kept the meats coming, stayed on top of refilling sides, and made sure drinks never sat empty. The selection here is one of the reasons people keep coming back. There's a huge variety of meats and seafood, and I like that you can mix it up with things like shrimp, squid, and scallops instead of doing the same usual BBQ lineup the whole meal. Overall, Mr. BBQ is loud, busy, and always in demand, but that's kind of part of the experience. Great for group dinners, celebrations, and anytime you're ready to commit to a full-on feast.

One of my favorite KBBQ spots! I've definitely been here way too many times to count... oops. I just never got around to writing a review. I love the quality of the meat, and I never feel sick after eating here, which has happened to me at other KBBQ places. There was a point when I was coming here almost once a week because a friend kept inviting me out, but didn't have a go-to KBBQ spot as a lot of them weren't from the area...so of course I recommended this place! Wait times can get pretty long in the evenings. I've seen them go over 2.5 hours. That said, the waitlist system makes it much easier to manage. I've personally never had an issue since I usually arrive early and only wait for a table to be set. If you don't want to wait too long, try going just before 4 or 5 PM, or if you come closer towards closing, the wait has been super short. With inflation, the price has definitely gone up since my first visit, but the meat quality is still great, so I don't mind too much. The servers are always super polite and very efficient. Depending on who you get, you might have to flag someone down occasionally, but overall, the food comes out quickly. Sometimes the servers even give great sauce recommendations, especially if they hear it's your first time. Also, one year I came with a friend for a birthday celebration, and they really know how to make it fun. My friend and the server were totally on the same wavelength... it was definitely a little embarrassing for me, but we all had a good laugh afterward!

I think this is the best kbbq around the area with the best service honestly. Like other kbbq the servers look like they hate their life but here they are very nice. Also I like the effort they put in with so many side dishes..you need to know its a lot of work. Also nice vibe.

Dinner was delicious! They offer good variety of meats that are always so fresh and tasty. Adam provided AMAZING service, highly recommend him! They also played the Super Bowl!!

You can choose between non-spicy or spicy, just make sure to let them know when you order if they forget to ask. I was super delighted when it came out because they packed so much stuff in my soup!! Don't forget to flavor your soup with some salt that they have set aside. If you use the shrimp paste, just be aware that it's extremely salty. You can add it to the broth or put some on your rice. My other coworkers got the Yukgae Jang as she was craving something more flavorful and spicy, and the portions were very generous! The Pork Belly soup looked quite comforting as well. The server was constantly on the lookout and made sure to refill any side dishes that we wanted. Our group loved the fish cakes and pickled radish. I definitely need to be back before the $15 lunch special is over, gotta try them all!
