Surprisingly amazing! We came here for after brunch drinks and to our surprise, this place was absolutely amazing! For a location in college point in a sort of hidden inside a block, our expectation was not high. However, the ambience, service and drinks were delicious. They even had hookah to top it off! Will absolutely return!

This is the flan cheesecake..... sooooo yum!

Super delicious food! Juana is so sweet and so attentive! Perfect little gem in college point! The trifongo and Mr Dre burger are must haves!

I had dinner plans for a Friday, so I asked a coworker for a spot to visit in Queens, so I visited Mr. Dre's Kitchen Bar at his suggestion. The parking lot in the back is not for the restaurant, don't get towed. It's a pretty small spot, and it was pretty empty, besides an obnoxiously loud group near where we were seated. It reminds me of a garage for some reason. I found myself wondering why my coworker recommended this spot. The menu didn't look like anything special, typical mix of Latin American dishes. Turns out it was happy hour, which meant 2 for 1 drinks. We got a few mojitos and they were pretty strong. We got a fried meat platter as an appetizer and I got the pork chops. She didn't like it much cuz the majority of the menu was fried. I like fried food, but I found everything to be pretty average. The total bill for two entrees, an appetizer, and four drinks came out to $90, the tip automatically included. That is kinda ridiculous considering happy hour is 2 for 1 drinks. I'm also displeased that the gratuity was automatically added on a table of two. Eh, not sure if I wanna come back here.

Came here last night for some drinks and dinner, was super pleased with the experience. We got there a little early, so the place wasn't packed. The drinks were delicious! Definitely hit the spot. The Mr Dre burger was huge and delicious. The chimi was on point and really large for only $6. The only complaint is that the chicken teriyaki was a bit on the saltier side. Aside from drinks and food they also have hookah and a DJ so the place is definitely popping on a Saturday night. Worth the visit!

I was going to the movies nearby with some girlfriends and decided to come here for an early dinner and drinks. I was super excited after all the great reviews on Yelp. The place wasn't crowded there were only about 4 tables full. We placed on our orders, I went with the pollito (chicken breast stuffed with chorizo and sweet plantains) with a side of mash potatoes. My food was delicious and a good portion. It was happy hour which is always great so I had the coconut and guava sangria. Both flavors lack a lot of flavor and alcohol. Now the reason I wouldn't come back was the service. I still don't know who our server was and the two waitresses seem more interested and concern with the table next to us. It looked like the guys on that table were their friends so they were just hanging out chatting with them instead of doing their job.

I am usually skeptical with photos and little hole in the wall places, but Mr Dre's was very impressive. The food was soooo good and the music was nice. Definitely would go back for another drink and meal.

At first glance the place is beautiful. Very contemporary and chic. The staff is amazing. The guy who took care of us was very attentive. They have only been opened for a few months but I can see this place becoming one of the greats in the neighborhood. The food was great. I had the chicken rice and beans with a salad. My husband and his grandfather had the mushroom burger. They both loved it. I'm definitely coming back especially for the brunch. Unfortunately being 8 months preggers means that I couldn't try the drinks but the other reviews say it's really good. So this might become my Resturant when I come into my mothers neighborhood. read more

I really liked the food here and such reasonable prices. There were definitely a few things I have never tried before on the menu and they were all good. The music had us dancing in our seats the whole time. Plenty of tvs to catch any football game. Service was quick and attentive. Out of everything we experience, I have to say the sangria was by far the best I ever had. Even if I'm not hungry, I will drive back here just to pick up a few bottles. Had to say every time I come to my hometown have to come to this place. THE OWNER IS A DRUNK THAT STUMBLES AROUND HIS OWN BAR EARLY ON A WEEK NIGHT. I hope this restaurant's ratings come down to at least a total of 3 Stars. People need to hesitate whether they come here to dine. My experience was miserable... the first person that waited on me went to make my drinks then stayed making drinks at the bar. My drink was disgusting, I handed it back to them. The "real" waitress didn't know what was going on with our table so it took her 15 min to decide to come over to our table even though there was a total of three tables being waited on... the food was sub par and the owner was doing shots with his friends at one of the tables. They were all being loud and disrespectful. The owner was literally falling as he walked around. This place is a complete disgrace and owned by someone who clearly puts his pleasure before good business and customer service. I will NEVER be back. read more

Don't come here for brunch if you want to have a conversation with someone. The music is way too loud! We waited over an hour for our food. The place was a little busy but it looked like nobody was served food for the duration we were waiting. When I got my food it was filled with sweet potato but only 2 pieces of chorizo. Great new spot we had to check out, the decor is out of this world!.. Along with the food (try the guac!) and drinks. Everyone needs a homey, fun with delicious food place to go to all in one. The owner Dre was greeting everyone, taking orders and cleaning tables! What an all around great guy who knows how to host and run a place. First off I want to start by saying the service at Dre's is off the charts!!! The waitresses are friendly and constantly catering to their customers. We stopped in after a Target-run. DELICIOUS! The kids had the French Toast & split a Hot Chocolate. C had the Dominicata (?) Burger and loved it! I had something w mashed plantains, fried cheese and fried eggs. SO GOOD. A little loud, but we got used to it. Great value for money too. read more

Amazing food!! The exterior is very unique and inviting. They have a great atmosphere and the staff is very welcoming and attentive. They have great music which isn't overbearing, you can still have a conversation while enjoying the music. I went with a couple of my girl friends and we all ordered different meals. Each and everyone of us were extremely satisfied with the meals, drinks and service. Definitely a go to spot and I will be returning soon. read more

Came here for dinner. Not my kind of bar - DJ was spinning, music very loud - and service was slow. Tried the "coconut sangria" and I'm really unsure that there's any wine in it, maybe coconut rum? Tasted okay but maybe should have ordered something else. On the upside the food was really delicious and at a good price point - I had the pollito and my friend had the steak. Yuca fries were perfect. Would be willing to come back to try the brunch food as that seems to be this place's big draw. read more

Our flight got cancelled just as we pulled up to the airport. Ugh! Found a hotel then hopped onto Yelp to find somewhere to hang out. What a great find! Transported to a beach bar, with 15 Sangria's and 12 Mojito's, we loved hanging at the bar. The wings were great but the beef arepas, melt in your mouth!! My husband is a foodie but pulls up from adventure sometimes. In the end, he's chatting with the Chef and learning all he can about arepas to bring back to Indy. If you live nearby, go there! If you ever get stuck at Laguardia, go there! read more

Found this place thru Yelp a few weeks back after a day at Spa Castle. Nice location, good atmosphere and great food! Had the ribs with Tostones and my friend had the Skirt steak. Both entrees were good size and also had arepas for an appetizer. Highly recommend if in the area! read more

This place is excellent for both brunch on weekends as well as dinner for good food, music and great ambiance any day of the week. PASSION FRUIT SANGRIA! This is a must have, however I had a sample of the other flavors which are really tasty as well. The prices are more than reasonable and I love how the bar was decorated. It has this outdoor feel which was perfect for Summer and they had a mist going which kept you cool/ separated from the street. My date and I had the Mofongo with queso frito (fried cheese), salami and two eggs. Typical Hispanic dish/ perfect hangover cure. It was delicious to say the least and the platanos (plantains) had the little red onions on the top, which were amazing. Is your mouth watering yet, are you on your way there now? So we heard a lot about this place and we finally made it there w great friends ! Have to admit I was a lil nervous when we got there . But were welcomed in and felt more comfortable We ordered the mango sangria it was delicious and some apps the empanadas were really good I would go back just for them , but it didn't stop there we had a few different things the skirt steak dinner was really good and the stuffed chicken was incredible The music was a bit loud but the place was really a place you must try We will be back !!! read more

If you happen to be in Queens or will be making your way to Queens you should definitely make plans to stop by this Gem in College Point, Queens. With a movie theater, shopping and Citi Field home of the Mets all being in close proximity you ought to stop by. Appetizers and Dinner will always be delicious and the service, second to none. TV's surround the entire indoor and outdoor sitting areas so you won't miss a beat. The kicker for me here are the drinks and variety. They are all worth trying and coming back for, time and time again. From flavored Mojitos to flavored Sangrias along with their signature cocktails, you'll be asking for more. This is the first time I give a review on yelp , but this place deserves more than 5 stars if possible. The drinks are on point! The food is exceptional, Ive literally tried almost everything on the menu. From the dominican burger to the there amazing churrasco . The ladies that work there are very helpful and always making sure I have everything I need when I go there with my family. I come from brooklyn over to college point just for the food , great job guys! read more

One of a kind in college point. Everyone from around should support this place. The place was busy when we were seated but the server was on point and took care of us right away. The food was great and drinks were on point. Great atmosphere and music was playing all night we were here. I absolutely love this place. Came here on a Saturday night with some friends and really had a good time. The bartender Mike made the best drinks, you have to try the strawberry caipirina or the frozen Long Island ice tea. The owner Mr. Dre came out even took shots with us.
