Order house specialty pizza & appetizer sampler combo comes w/ ( chicken wings, fried zucchini, mozzarella sticks). Pizza had lots of toppings & I specially liked the dough. It was different not greasy. More like New York style. On the sampler combo : chicken wings was tasty w/ lots of flavor but the fried zucchinis & mozzarella sticks were little burnt & little on the dry side. Maybe over fried ?? I really like their pizzas here both times I ordered it (pre covid and post covid) I like their extra sauce option. I do think their pizzas aree a bit pricy, but it's worth it. I wasn't too pleased with their Alfredo pasta because it just tasted like they used rotisserie chicken (a little too dry) in with a cheese sauce. The sauce flavors were good, I just think the dry chicken is a turn off and it was lacking a bit in flavor. If I were to get this again, I would get without the chicken. We just moved to Diamond Bar and wanted to try some local eats! Found this place and read a lot of raving reviews! The pizza is great! My husband went and picked up the pizza and took a while for it to get done. The staff gave him a free cookie and a coupon for the next visit because it took longer than expected! We ordered a large pep pizza and a large pizza with half KBBQ and half meat lovers. All tasted delicious. When you walk into a pizza place and they are hand tossing the pizzas in the kitchen, you know your odds of a good pizza just improved. Mr G's will not disappoint. Excellent crust, quality ingredients and fresh salads. While the food is great, it's the service that makes this place really special. The staff is friendly and attentive and makes you feel like they are happy to have you there. An authentic community spot. Sam the owner personally came to our table to talk for a few minutes and thank us for our first visit. It won't be the last. There's some big screens on for the sports fans, but you should take advantage of the air hockey table too. They have 4 beers on tap and several in bottles too. Even though the Torpedo is a cold sandwich, they still toast the bread to give it a nice crust. That first few bites give you that crunch from not just the bread, but also the crisp lettuce, pickles, and pepperoncinis. Perfect saltiness from the meats, sweetness from fresh crisp veggies, and mouth watering acidity from the Italian dressing. Amazing. Best sandwich I've had this year. But beware, to do things right, it takes time. I waited 25 mins for my two cold sandwiches, I even called ahead, too. Price is fair. Service is "mom and pop". 12/27/21 I called in an order of pastrami sandwich and stromboli calzone and the man who answered the phone took the order and read it back to me. He said it would be 20 minutes. When my partner arrived, he found that not only had the staff not started preparing the order, they didn't know anything about the order and could not find the order. Needless to say, my partner left to go to Pollo Loco bext door to get us something to eat. We are visiting the area and when we come back, we will not order from this place. About 30 minutes after my partner got back from his unsuccessful visit witk Mr. G's, I got a call from the man who I had originally given my order to and he informed me that my order was ready. I told him that my partner went thrre to pick up the order that apparently he forgot to write down, and then he said the chick parm and pastrami sandwichbwas ready. Our group of 8 came in pretty hungry and near closing time on a Saturday. The place was empty and they were kind to serve us. We tried a veggie pizza and the spicy cheese bread and some yummy mango cart on tap. The food came out pretty fast and it was so good!! The spicy bread had a good amount of garlic and jalapeno, it was a big hit and we had to get another order in. Our pizza was well done, just like we requested and filled with toppings. We had a great experience here! First of all, their customer service was really excellent! The owner asked us if it was our first time, and he gave us a free appetizer. As for the for the food... Mozzarella sticks- super cheesy and the marinara sauce was so flavorful Buffalo wings- could've been flavored better. The sauce wasn't as dense Caesar salad- fresh and crispy with a refreshing salad dressing Pizza- we ordered half and half. KBBQ was more on the sweeter side. Not my favorite but wasn't bad. Was looking for large NY style pizza delivery and ordered late on a Friday night about 8 months ago. I hadn't found a place nearby that I liked yet. Mr Gs was exactly what I was looking for. I spent 5 years in NYC and this pizza tastes so close to Nyc! Aside from the cheese pizza Im obsessed with the caesar salad. The marinara is incredible too, which we occasionally order as a side. Most importantly the place is family run by the sweetest humans and they (and their staff) bring so much positivity to our door with every delivery. They always wish us the "best week!" and really brighten our day. Theyre the only people we bought a holiday popcorn tin for, they make you feel like you live in a small town and the food honestly must be baked with love. My family and I have enjoyed Mr. G's Pizza several times now, and our most recent visit was no different. We usually like to order the Supreme Pizza (comes with six toppings) and a Hawaiian Pizza with garlic as an additional topping. The pizza here always comes out on a timely manner, piping hot, and is very delicious every time. The only downside really is the price point - the pizza here is more expensive than several other pizza shops and that higher price is definitely noticeable, hence the four star rating. Still, we like the pizza here enough to be repeat customers. One other thing I particularly like is that they are very generous with the amount of toppings they put on your pizza - especially garlic. As garlic lovers, my family really appreciates that they don't skimp on the added toppings. One thing to note though is that certain "specialty" options are not available in all sizes through their online ordering system for some reason. So I generally just call and place my order (since I come in to pick it up each time) rather than place the order online. read more

Online ordering process was easy but delivery did take some time. Delivery guy made up for it by being really nice. Unfortunately the pizza left a bad first impression, the entire dough was soggy. Not sure if from the fresh veggies on top or the sauce? Regardless, the pizza was hard to enjoy even after popping in the oven (to dry up/solidify the crust) The size justifies the price but the texture does not. Cozy family restaurant. Owners make you feel so welcome and appreciated. I picked up for the first time and was helped out to the car with a free orange fanta (my choice) as a first time order treat. Love their pizza it's got this perfect chewy consistency. Very excited to try some of their specialty pizzas like kimchi pizza. Ordered a roasted turkey sandwich, got a small loaf of bread cut in half, with lots of lettuce, some very thin tomatoes, and more lettuce, and each half of the sandwich had ONE thin slice of deli turkey meat right out of the Oscar Meyer package. The vegetables were cooked with precision so as to not make them become dry. They were moist, but not wet which would make the bread soggy. The cheese was just enough so that it did not feel overwhelming. The price for that size was unbeatable. The only downside of this whole experience - eating way too much pizza in one go. My mom, wife, and I ate their lunch specials which was a great deal for a one topping 10 inch pizza for $7 and we also shared a spaghetti with meatballs also for $7. Wonderful pizza!! Mr G's is one of the best pizza places in town. I had half Korean and half Chicken tikka pizza. The pizza is very moist, and the dough is fresh with great texture. The Korean pizza has bulgogi meat that tastes great with the peppers. Chicken tikka was my favorite, especially since it had the Indian curry sauce instead of a traditional pizza sauce. I am a loyal customer of Mr. G's because not only is their pizza delicious, but the owners are so friendly and make you feel at home. The pizza is very flavorful and made with great ingredients. They even brush the crust with an herb garlic sauce that elevates the whole thing. They have other menu items besides pizza like pasta, salads, and appetizers. I recently tried the baked ziti and it was amazing! So cheesy and came out piping hot. I definitely recommend it! The prices are a little steeper than another take out pizza shop, but I feel like it is worth it because it is so good and you are supporting local business in the process. The newer location is a lot bigger with more tables and even a party room for big groups. There are plenty of parking spots out front and a parking lot just in case all spots are taken. I recommend dining in because the pizza is still crispy and fresh right out of the oven, but they do also deliver! If you order through their app you can get free garlic rolls with each order.
