After hearing locals rave about Mr. G's, I finally got around to giving them a try tonight... I'm SO glad I did! Located in the shopping center off of Grand @ Diamond Bar Blvd (behind El Pollo Loco or Bageloo), Mr. G's is that local neighborhood pizza place that I was hoping to find when we first moved to Diamond Bar. Every town has that one mom & pop shop that cranks out quality, good food that locals adore~ Mr. G's is it for DB! True to what most helpers stated, customer service is amazing! Super friendly people who provide great service. We ordered the Korean BBQ pizza to go. It was only about a 15 minute wait. The pizza itself is just really good. I didn't really know what to expect from the flavor we ordered and was hoping it wouldn't taste too sweet or be overpowered by a KBBQ taste. But this pizza was really, really good! I'd say definitely WAY, way better than Domino's/Pizza Hut & still much better than around Table. It is pricier than Costco or the other chains, but this pizza isn't on the same mass produced, cheap ingredient level as those are. Wow truly impressed. I had been here before for my daughter's softball fitting with her team last year and took pizza Togo. Tonight my husband said I'm craving pizza where should we go. I said let's try Mr g's it's local. The pizza was great, even ordered the fettuccine and it was great. But what really impressed us was the customer service. Food was brought out to us and the worker who took our order came by to make sure everything was going well. Then the owner came to our table to refill our drinks and thank us for stopping in. The worst pizza in Southern California. The only reason they don't get the worst pizza in the country is because there's still Napoli Pizza in Henderson, Nevada. I ordered a Pepperoni, Canadian Bacon and Sausage pizza. They brought a pepperoni pizza. Then when I told them it wasn't correct they made a new one. This one was sausage and Canadian bacon.. The ingredients tasted quality-fresh and made to order; however, the pizza and garlic knots were very greasy and oily. The bottom of the pizza box had a greasy residue as well as the garlic knots' container. Super impressed with this neighborhood pizza place. When it's rated 4.5 stars on Yelp and 4.7 stars on Google for a pizza place, one takes notice immediately. This place not only delivers great tasting pizza but it also has incredible service. The drinks are filled automatically and the owners even offer free cookies for the kids. Meanwhile, the pizza is also pretty darn affordable. What more can you ask for? After experiencing Mr G's Pizza, I had a hard time ranking it. It's possible that I came in with too high of expectations given the rankings on Yelp. Needless to say, it didn't really hit all of my expectations. Atmosphere: Like most places, dine-in isn't currently an option. However, the inside looked nice and clean. Seems like a comfortable place to enjoy lunch or dinner. While I understand they aren't receiving dine-in customers to dirty the place, it's still nice to see that they are keeping up with cleanliness. Food: This is probably where I'm most conflicted. There's a lot to like about their food, but a few minor issues that kind of ruin the experience. Let's start with the bad. Not sure if I receive some bad sausage, but it didn't have a good flavor at all. I ended up picking out the sausage, which is disappointing since the pizza was a meatlovers. The sauce, or lack thereof, didn't complement the pizza at all. Part of what makes a good pizza is the sauce. Ok, enough with the negative. Plenty of positives here too. The dough is quality you can see and taste. Perfect amount of crispness to really enjoy. The pepperonis were the star of the show, some of the best I've ever had. The Canadian bacon was tasty too. I also ordered their cheese breadsticks and they were amazing! Truthfully, they have a ton of side options that I'd like to try at some point. The marinara sauce provided for the cheese breadsticks was disappointing though. It literally tasted like dipping in a container of Prego spaghetti sauce. There are worse flavors, but not exactly what I expect to have next to my breadsticks. This makes me question if I will be served this same sauce if I were to order any of their other side options. Staff: Not a ton of interaction to warrant much of review in this section, but they were cordial and friendly. Price: The pizza is on the smaller side, but the ingredients warrant the price for the most part. Overall, the price does match the quality, but by no means are you receiving a deal. It is worth mentioning that they do have specials, so it may be in your best interest to phone ahead of time to listen to them if you are on a budget. Overall: This was hard to rank, but in the end three stars feels appropriate. There is enough to like about the place to go back at another time and try more of the menu items. It's entirely possible that I came on a bad day or COVID-19 altered a few things. Either way, it's certainly worth trying Mr G's Pizza if you are wanting pizza or in the mood to try something new. read more

Finally, I can get NY style pizza and they also sell per slice! Even better, their slice pizza is FRESH MADE TO ORDER. We had salad, wings, Korean BBQ Pizza, veggie pizza, garlic bread with homemade marinara sauce dipping. Everything is so on point and delish. It's flavorful and tasty. My daughter usually doesn't care for marinara sauce in pizza, but this one she said it's so good, she loves it! My other daughter even loves the salad and put marinara sauce on it. Lol. When I pulled into the center, Mr.G's immediately caught my attention(the smells were delicious) went had a few bagels then decided to walk over and check out Mr.G's...
