It started with the phone call for service, the woman on the phone was friendly and professional, she even asked if i would mind being put on hold for a moment before she put me on hold, then thanked me for holding...don't get that often enough. She gave me an approximate time the plumber would be out and called me when they were on the way. Then the plumber (Zach) arrived and impressed me from beginning to end. Zach put on those surgical booties before coming into my home, he was extremely polite and courteous as he checked out the problem with my toilet. Apparently i had a stoppage in the pipe below the house, he gave me two options on solving the problem and explained each one. I chose to go with the better job so i wouldn't need to deal with this again. After he finished the job, which took half the day he offered to check all the other plumbing and explained several other minor problems i had that i was unaware of . When Zach was finishing up i noticed he was on his hands and knees wiping down the bathroom floor - the bathroom was cleaner then i left it. I'm really impressed with Zach and Mr Rooter at this point - then about 10 minutes after Zach left I get a call, its another nice lady on the phone asking me if I was satisfied with the service that they provided and if there was anything else they could do for me. I asked if they work on cars - no such luck. I thought about the four other companies I called before I reached Mr Rooter. If they could only understand what people want they might have had another customer, thankfully I got Zach and Mr Rooter. read more

Hot water found on floor of bathroom at 9:45PM Jan. 21,2016. Source could not be found inside of house. Called Mr. Rooter Plumbing of Long Beach. Phone answered immediately ask if someone should be sent out. I requested they wait to the first thing in the morning. However by morning the the water was about three inches deep in the bathroom and hall as I had forgot to shut off the water supply to the house. Mr Rooter called back about 7:45. and had Gary Riniert their Field Supervisor at the house by 8:15. After checking the walls and floor with his water meter believed the source was a broken hot water pipe under slab next to the bathroom/hall wall. Gary prepared estimates for four different options from digging through floor and slab to reach and patch the broken pipe to replacing all under slab water lines by PEX pipe and all new shutoff valves throughout the house with the interconnections being routed in the ceiling. He also recommended PRC Restoration and Construction for the water removal and called them. Thanks to Gary they had their crew and equipment removing the water and damaged contents before noon. AfterAfter four more days of PRC equipment drying out the house Gary ha a five plumbers installing new PEX pipes and valves in under one day. A plaster came the next day to patch and plaster the holes in the walls and ceiling left by the plumbers the day before. We now had running water within the house. We had a sudden clog and none of our sinks would drain, so we were scrambling to find a plumber on a Sunday afternoon. We called several companies, but either no one answered or they said they could not come out the same day. When I called Mr. Rooter around 2:55 PM, Val answered right away and was incredibly helpful. She assured me someone would be at our house before 5:00 PM, and they absolutely delivered on that promise. Brian came out and was professional, honest, and very easy to work with. We told him upfront that we had zero plumbing knowledge, and he could have easily taken advantage of that, but he did the opposite. He gave us two options, one for $79 and another for over $400, and when we asked whether he thought the lower-cost option would solve the issue, he honestly said yes. He got right to work and fixed the problem quickly. What I really appreciated was that he did not stop there. He also checked under our house, explained the current condition of our pipes, pointed out an area that will likely need attention soon, and gave us a quote so we can plan for that repair on our own timeline. It is such a relief to find a company that is responsive, honest, and professional. Val and Bryant both provided excellent service, and I would absolutely call Mr. Rooter again. read more

The technician (Danny) was scheduled to come out on Sunday morning and arrived right on time. I had a kitchen sink drain that was very slow to drain. I snaked the drain out to 50 feet and the drain was still not fixed. He fully explained the work before he started and the did exactly what he described. The technician said the he a a 75 foot snake and asked if he should go ahead with that. He also explained that if that did not work a another procedure would be required that would wipe the entire interior of the drain pipe of any contamination or grease build up. The 75 foot snake did not break up the stoppage and the snake had an accumulation grease on it. So this meant that we would have to go to (plan B) that would wipe the entire interior of the drain pipe of any contamination or grease build up. This procedure required a second technician. So the follow up procedure was scheduled the next morning. Within a couple of hours the drain pipe entire interior was cleaned of all contamination and grease build up out to 120 feet. The kitchen double sink was filled half way with water. When the plugs were removed the water flowed freely with a spiral and swooshing sound. Just like a brand new sink installation. What a relief. Now I should be good for another 50 years. read more

I called Mr. Rooter on Thursday to ask if a service technician could come and clear a drain for my neighbor, the person that answered originally informed me that they could not service our unit, due to limitations stated by their insurance. Less then fifteen minutes, I received a call back stating that due to previous jobs performed at the condo, they would be able to service us, and that they would be sending a technician over within the hour. In less than an hour, I was met by Mr. Rooters Plumbing Technician, Chris Martin. He wanted to see where the clog was, and then followed the drainage line into the garage, where he quickly diagnosed the problem, pulled out his tools....and within a very short time, solved the problem. I've worked with plumbers before....but was impressed with his professionalism. Chris not only solved the problem with the clog, but he gave suggestions on how to improve the drains in the entire building and submitted a suggestion for our owners. Great experience today with Mr. Rooter. This is the second time using Mr. Rooter recently. This time i worked with Danny to trouble shoot some issues on my older home in LB. He was able to get my kitchen drain working again, with as minimally invasive a solution as possible. He was also able to replace my faucet and garbage disposal since we were able to address the drain problem with a new clean out. I would definitely recommend Mr. Rooter again! Danny was great to run ideas past and provide advice. I plan to use them in the near future to address a few issues with the plumbing in my bathroom and water heater. In my prior experience, i was able to have my newer hot water heater repaired (at another property) with a simple part change, rather than replace the entire unit as another plumber proposed. We had started to experience slow flushes and knew we needed a rooter service. We called around and Mr Rooter gave us the fastest response time and quoted a very fair price to clean the main drain. Tanya called ahead, with very prompt, appointment time, Andy showed up on time as promised and ran the drain cleaner and pulled out a bunch of tree roots, ran the camera and found we needed the Hydro-Jet service, he checked with dispatch and was able to come back right away with the Hydro-jet trailer in tow. Monday, 7/26 around 4:30pm, we had an issue with a nearly overflowing toilet. We were able to plunge it, but water was leaking from the base. Our regular plumber is on vacation, so we began a search for an emergency plumber. we found Mr. Rooter and the business was not far from us. We were hoping to get a plumber to the house within an hour of our call. Fortunately, Danny Meza came to our rescue within 25 minutes of our call. He was courteous, polite and friendly. He was able to check the line and clear it. He tested the line by flushing it multiple times with wads of TP. There have been no issues since his visit. Todd Jorgensen from Mr. Rooter did an OUTSTANDING job unclogging my upstairs bathtub in my 105 year old house in downtown Long Beach. He was knowledgeable and explained everything clearly. I had an issue with my sink garbage disposal, I called them based on customer's reviews. Mr. Rooter dispatched immediately one of their plumbers. The consultation is free. Brian L. quickly assessed the situation and tried to fix the appliance per my request, unfortunately the garbage disposal was too stuck to do something about it and had to be replaced as I suspected. He explained how to keep it in good functioning state and how to avoid future issues. The total process took a minimum time as he already had a new appliance with him, just in case. Most calls to plumbers have to do with too much water (backing up drains). While Mr. Rooter have helped me with that in the past, this time I had no cold water in the shower. Fortunately, I discovered the problem prior to my being boiled. Brian Lutche arrived and found a fix almost instantly. The problem had to do with scale build up within the shower fixture. We put our heads together to order the best replacement and upon its arrival, Brian took away the old and hooked up the new. His attention to detail was terrific, he cleaned up after himself and me and most importantly was very polite and friendly. We had a clogged kitchen sink that I did my best to fix (including dismantling the pipes under the sink cleaning them out and reassembling them) but the clog turned out to be deeper down than just in the kitchen pipes. We called Mr. Rooter and made an appointment, and Todd Jorgensen came out right on time and was able to pull the clog with no problems. After we'd both shared a laugh at how the previous house owners had configured the pipes in the kitchen, he even offered to replace the bad pieces for a reasonable price. I had both my tubs backing up into each other. I called Mr. Rooter and they sent somebody out within a couple hours. Todd Jorgensen was the plumber and he was amazing. He had this crazy mess all fixed in no time, helped me understand the drains in my house and when I asked for a quote on additional work I need done, he mapped out simply and patiently what I needed to do. He was wonderful and figured out which discout I could best use (I had a postcard advertisement from them) and was thorough and very nice. It was a true pleasure.
