Their boba balls aren't too chewy and aren't overly firm - they're the right consistency. It helps that they hand make their boba balls. Homemade boba from Mr. Sun always hits the spot! I love the dough-like texture. This location is very spacious with seating inside and cute decor. I recommend the Golden Brown Sugar Boba Milk Tea or the Mango Green Tea with Mango Boba. You can't go wrong with these two drinks! They typically have varying boba flavors here, but the most common seem to be strawberry, mango, and brown sugar. If you're lucky, you can catch them making the boba by hand. You'll find plenty of boba spots in the Bay Area, but there's no other place but Mr. Sun Tea that's making handcrafted boba. This in itself makes it worth a visit here! You can even view them making the fresh boba once you enter. The boba here is WAY better than the majority of boba places. It's nice and chewy and it's made fresh every single day here. The housemade boba is also actually less caloric than the "instant" packaged version that most places use. They're pretty generous with the amount of boba in their drinks too. You'll get 100% quality teas here. Unlike most places that use inexpensive powdered teas, the teas here are all brewed with whole tea leaves without any artificial ingredients. You can't go wrong with any of the drinks.  I'm not normally big on beer, but always enjoy the Mr. Sun Green Tea. It's one of their specialties and made with non-alcoholic Heineken beer. My most recent discovery and favorite tea here now is their Pineapple Black Tea.  If you're a pineapple fan, definitely give this a try! If you prefer a more prominent black tea flavor, then drink this sooner. But if you're like me and really enjoy the flavor of pineapple, just allow the tea to sit a while as the essence of pineapple permeates the tea.  I finished mine about an hour later, and the pineapple flavor enhanced the tea perfectly.  I loved the generous bits of pineapple too. Parking is easy and plentiful. There's also a good-sized indoor seating area. Service is friendly and efficient, just as in their Cupertino location. In the few times that I've visited, I've generally only opted in for the Strawberry or Mango Boba Milk Tea, in which the Strawberry/Mango boba is made fresh in-house. Mr Sun is newly opened in Fremont and they are having a bogo this weekend! Woo hoo! Seems like lots of people also knew about the good deal, so there was a long line even before they opened at 12pm. However, the line did move relatively fast, although we waited for about 20min in total for our drinks. Grapefruit mojito green tea add strawberry boba - even at 50% sweetness, I found the drink way too sweet. I still enjoyed the generous grapefruit pulps and strawberry boba, and the drink did not have any bitterness from the grapefruit. Mr sun green tea with non-alcoholic Heineken beer - most people probably got this drink because of how unique it sounds. It also tastes so unique, and slightly fizzy from the beer. This was also really sweet so personally I didn't really enjoy this but my boyfriend was ok with it. To be honest, I had low expectation for this place since my mom's verdict for the Cupertino location was "it's just okay". I thought it was an overhyped place with different colored handmade boba. BUT! I could actually taste the strawberry flavor in the strawberry boba. I couldn't really tell the mango taste in the mango boba though. The drinks (Mr. Sun Special & Rainbow Milk Tea) that we got were pretty good too. The Mr. Sun Special is strawberry flavored + milk + crushed ice + strawberry boba. I don't know why they didn't just name it something-strawberry like they did with the mango drink. I think they're the same except one is with strawberry while the other is with mango. I really enjoyed the drink, but I don't think the sugar/ice is adjustable. Make sure you shake before you drink though, or else it'll feel way too sweet. As for the Rainbow Milk Tea, it was better than expected! We got it at less ice and 25% sugar. The sugar level was good at just 25%. I liked the milk tea even though the tea flavor wasn't very strong. The boba flavors of the day were only strawberry and mango so those were the only ones we got (I think) - I mean, I only saw two colors so I think those were the only two flavors we got. I am impressed at how their grand opening went, way better than some others I have been too. Clearly marked lines, everyone was masked up, signs of the specials up throughout the line so you can make your decision before you make it up front. The line may have looked long but we were in and out in less than 30 minutes. VERY EFFICIENT. I believe they make their bobas in house and it comes in varying flavors (no boba shortage for them). The lady that gave me my drinks was very nice and had detailed instructions of when to shake and consume the drinks. (fresh boba = no added preservatives so unless ready to consume don't shake or the chemical reactions of the balls mixing with the ice make it unpleasant) or something along those lines (there were a lot of people and it was a bit loud inside). Okay so I tried the Mr. Sun Green Tea with Heineken. I opted for 50% sugar and it was a bit too sweet for me but the Heineken flavor is there and oddly delicious mixed with tea. If you're a fan of Heineken beer this is your drink. I'd probably get it again but at 25% sweet. The Golden brown sugar boba milk tea was pretty good. I got it at 25% sweet which was fine because the boba themselves were soaked in brown sugar syrup and were sweet (I think if most people like a sweeter boba 50% would be good). What makes them different from a lot of boba places is that they make their boba which comes in multiple different flavors. Went for their BOGO event recently. I was super excited to try this place because it's the only place that I know in the Bay that makes their boba pearls in house, meaning they literally mix the cassava flour and stuffs together to form the dough and cut it up into pearls before cooking. I ordered the Taro Fresh Milk with Boba and it was delicious! I really appreciate it when the taro drink is just with milk and not with milk tea because I feel like the tea sometimes colludes with the brown sugar and taro flavor. The drink was really fresh and I really enjoyed the boba which were very chewy. OMG I'm so happy there's a new location for Mr. Sun Tea! This location is so much better than the Cupertino location, just space-wise and parking-wise. The boba texture is like gum. You would assume it would be like the basic agar or pearl bobas but it definitely wasn't. It's odd in a bad way. Every time I drive through Fremont on 880, I make a point of stopping here. Their Mr Sun Mango is my absolute favorite and the mango jam that they use is just the best! The interior is just big enough to handle a few small groups and is spaced far enough that you're not sitting on top of other groups. read more

I was here not because of Sun Tea - I wanted some tea on a beautiful sunny day. I just had lunch with my nephew at Sizzling next door. I wanted to cool down from being sizzled and we didn't want to go far, Mr. Sun made this easy and I got what I needed. We skipped ice cream shop because there was no restroom. Hook around the corner, there was Mr. Sun Tea. I love this place. I wish the tables at outdoor seating area was bigger. I ordered so many drinks for myself and I and others. As I was ordering, a customer picked up a bloody looking drink with red drizzle. So, I asked. Friendly employee told me it was the Daily Special Strawberry Milk Tea. Uhhhh... how is daily specials served all the time? Everything looked unique in the ingredients. I was eyeing at the first item in the menu - Heineken beer in green tea... It' already caught my attention. As I was told, beer was the foam floating on top of tea. It tasted like wash down beer with aromatic jasmine tea. I won't order that again. But I want something more exotic. So I heard Mr. Sun Tea is all over the Bay Area. That means I get to try that bloody looking Strawberry Milk Tea at a different place next time. read more
