This place doesn't look like much. For one, it's hiding in a nondescript strip center. Inside it's just a few tables and a cashier counter. Put that aside though, because the tacos are delicious. The menu isn't extravagant, but they have a variety of street tacos and a few torta and flauta offerings. You can get 3 tacos of your choosing, rice and beans for $6.99. The carnitas were flavorful and I loved that you got to choose grilled or raw onions. Yes, please. They bring the food to your table, along with green and red salsa containers. They were pretty tasty, although spicy (I am a wimp). We have to come back because the nachos look incredible. Best taco in McKinney, period. I challenge any true yelper to prove me wrong. It's a family owned Taco-shop serving up some inexpensive and very tasty bites. The tacos are different prices depending on your choice of meat. For traditional tacos, the price is $1.49. For this bargain price, your options include, Chicken, pork, babacoa, steak, buche, suadero, chorizo or carnitas. For what I consider specialty tacos, beef tongue or Tripa, the price is $1.69. It's always hard to find taco joints that serve up decent Tripas. For my first visit here, I went with two tripa tacos and a chicken quesadilla plate for $5.99 (includes beans and rice). The tripa tacos were legit. The chicken quesadilla was a good option because it was a good size and came with delicious side of beans and rice. In terms of the taco size, my only qualm is that they are small. If you are extremely hungry, or an individual who is never satisfied, make sure to order a minimum of three. Yelp Tip: I'm surprised no-one has mentioned their table-top salsa. It's something else. It's a green tomatillo sauce with just the right amount of smoke. If you look closely at the bottle, you can see the toasted remains of the chilies. There is plenty of seating to accommodate groups of 6 people. On my next visit, I will have to try their Nachos. Hands down my favorite place for Burritos in North Texas. Shredded Chicken refried beans cheese and lettuce with green sauce.

If you want good authentic Mexican cuisine this is the place to go and their food prices are reasonable along with excellent service.

Simple, easy, tasty. Maybe over time, the interior will be granted a few upgrades, but the simplicity works for the moment. The tacos were normal sized, which means that they were a good value for the price. We ordered a huge variety of tacos amongst the 5 of us and loved them all. Good flavor, not overdone on the spices. One thing we would've liked better is at least one hot (as in spicy) salsa. Neither the green nor the red brought home the flavor we wanted. The kids Quesadilla was sized and priced perfectly. My daughter ate it up so fast! The Nachos were pretty good but could've used an extra, lower layer of beans or meat....we ate the highest layer and all the toppings pretty quickly. Decided to give this place a try on a whim! I was really trusting all of the other good yelp reviews to be true. Cashier was super friendly, restaurant was fairly clean. Ordered chips and salsa, chicken street tacos, and el paso burrito. Chips were hot and fresh, but the salsa wasn't my personal favorite (everyone makes their salsa different so it's just preference). Street tacos came out looking good and tasted pretty good overall. Burrito was a nice size and was definitely kicking with spice. One had chicken, the other had carnitas. They come with cilantro and grilled onions. Both were juicy and flavorful. The wife got barbacoa, steak fajita, and spicy pork tacos, all dressed the same way. Also, all three were great. I went here and ordered two corn carne asada tacos with pico. Soft tortilla with crunchy ends, flavorful asada with large portions, and the salsa had an actual variation of heat. They were out of pastor meat and the barbacoa tasted like it was expired meat (sour) and the crispy tacos were blah. We've been meaning to try Mr. Tako for quite some time. The first time I wanted to try it, it was after 8 and they were closed. Tried to come there again on Good Friday, and they were closed then too (which is a good thing... Glad staff was able to have the day off). Finally was able to check it out on Friday. There are a lot of items to choose from. I decided to go with tacos because you can't go wrong with tacos. My girlfriend is more adventurous than I am when it comes to food, so I just went with two steak and one chicken fajita taco. I let her go crazy with her order. Ordered mine with grilled onions and no cilantro. Tacos were delivered to our table in a timely manner. Three salsas were also brought out. Each salsa had good flavor. I liked how the tacos had two tortillas instead of one. Often times, tacos fall apart if you only have one flimsy tortilla. The tortillas were fresh and soft. The meat was juicy and tender. All the meat was seasoned well. I should have gotten two chicken fajita tacos instead of two steak because the chicken was better than the steak in my opinion. I'd definitely suggest getting the chicken fajita tacos if I were you. We did the lunch special. I think in the future we will skip out on that because the tacos are really what we went for anyway. Rather get a lot of tacos for the same price three tacos and the rice and beans cost. The rice and beans were just OK. Tacos alone would be fine with me. I'll remember that for future reference. Like I said, there are a lot of other items on the menu like burritos and flautas. I definitely want to try a burrito the next time I'm there as they look like they'd be delicious. Located in a shopping Ctr in the more urban side of McKinney, this place is cooking up some good authentic Mexican food for the area. We've been here a few times and they don't disappoint with the service and the food. My girl loves her carne asada tacos and I love my combo of lengua, barbacoa, and al pastor which are always tender juicy on some corn tortillas.
