The MrTire.com website says you can get an oil change for $49.99, but their manager said they don't offer the synthetic blend oil change anymore, so you have to pay $78 for the full sythetic oil change which doesn't even include the additional price of a $20.67 an oil filter you buy for less than $5 at Walmart. This is very false advertising, please update your website before you get sued! I'll be doing all my own oil changes for now on, or will be taking my vehicles elsewhere. You may can get a $20 rebate on the Valvoline oil for the oil change, but it takes 6 to 8 weeks before you'll know if it's even been approved or not. The mechanic was nice and told me what was going on with the vehicle at least. When I worked for Quick Ten etc. we always included the price of the oil filter into the cost of the oil change. That's really false advertising to have it as an add on charge in my book, because That's kind of a bait and switch tactic. Your going in thinking around $60 after taxes but it ends up costing you $125 instead, after add on fees and taxes. Only reason I didn't give it 2 stars was because the mechanic was nice and told me what my vehicle needed, so I didn't have to hear it through the manager. read more

Avoid this shop at all costs! I requested a 4-wheel alignment and was told it was "too much work" to complete. During the process, my inner tie rod actually came loose. Instead of simply tightening it -- which would have solved the issue -- they canceled the service altogether and told me it would take hours to fix. I was left stranded and had to tighten the tie rod back up myself in the middle of the road, even though they had the proper tools right there. On top of that, they don't even handle caster and camber adjustments when needed, which is a basic part of proper alignment. Their lack of professionalism and care put my safety at risk. Absolutely unacceptable -- do yourself a favor and go anywhere else for service. read more

I had a 2pm appointment for an oil change and tire rotation on July 16, 2025. I left at 3:45. The appointment appears to have meant nothing. I went to the H Mart to kill some time. When I returned 40 minutes later my car was where I left it. I had no coupon, paid full price for synthetic oil change, $124. Easy customer. When I ask how much longer after 90 minutes he said they are backing it out now?? 20 minutes later I got my car. So they know who I am it was a 2016 Acura RDX. They have been poor with customer service for years but I have continued to use them because it's close to home. Now I think I'm done. read more

In the meantime, I asked the lady who was waiting in the lobby if they were able to get her in, in a timely manner. She said she got their phone all changed as well and they took a car back in about two minutes. Ask them if they can do it all change for me, and he replied, maybe sometime this week. yesterday, a Saturday afternoon around 3.30. we had a tire emergency, hit an obstacle in the road and our tire was immediately destroyed. fortunately we were right next to Mr Tire on Davis road in Morrisville. We limped into the parking lot and were immediately greeted by Scott. It was hot afternoon and we had our small dog with us. He insisted we all go inside and cool off and that they would do their very best to take care us. Gave us an expectation of time and cost. He told us it would be ready by 6, in fact it was ready by before 5, 1 hour tops. Scott and his team gave us peace of mind and an excellent service. Horrible service. Brought my tires in to see why my steering wheel was shaking when I got to a certain speed. Said I needed new tires. Find out later their tire balance machine wasn't working. Wow. That was one car. I Bought 2 new Michelin from these guys for my wife's car. Paid close to $700 and they couldn't inflate the tires properly. I said something about it and the worker acted like an ass and his manager supported the poor quality of his work. I don't have a right to say something about the quality of the service without being threatened by the employee? Purchased lifetime brakes for my 2018 Nissan Altima in March 2022 at Mr. Tire on Roxboro Rd. in Durham, NC and was told that I was covered as long as I owned the car.Fast forward...... Today (2.5 yrs after buying lifetime brakes), I took my car in to have an oil change & to get the brakes checked for a scrubbing noise. Moments ago, I was informed that I need complete brake replacement....pads & rotors. When I mentioned the lifetime brakes from 2022, I was told that it was only for 2 years or 24,000 miles!!!!! Over $800 for lifetime brakes and this is what I'm told. Countless oil changes in between and they have never even mentioned an issue with the brakes. And since when does lifetime equate to 2 years/24,000 miles? I'm done and OVER this entire company. I will never spend another penny with this franchise. DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE. Brought our Subaru here for an oil change and instead received a cracked transmission fill plug. No reason for them to touch the transmission except the transmission pan looks a whole lot like an oil pan. Mr. Tire did not make us aware of the situation and we have been leaking transmission fluid ever since. Not only did we pay for them to damage our car we now have to pay for a whole new transmission. We've only used Mr. Tire for the past 2 years. Picture is of the transmission fill plug. Cracked in 3 places. Would recommend going anywhere else or just attempting to fix it yourself. The tire pressure monitor in my wife's car indicated low tire pressure. I checked the tires and identified which tire was leaking. So my wife took it into Mr Tire on Davis Dr in cary. They checked and found a nail/screw in tire and patched the tire. Then proceeded to charge her $50. $50 to patch a tire?? Last flat that I had patched not too long ago was in the $20 range. Ok even with inflation I thought $50 was a little steep. Yes my wife should have asked up front how much and I would have told her to leave. Tire location before, but never on a Sunday. in fact they did my last oil change so after a two and a half hour wait, I was not thrilled to hear as an excuse the fact that my oil filter was on with Loctite...since they had serviced it last. they can tell what glue was used on a garaged car? The delay was due to incompetency as proven by a lady who returned noting that in seven miles her tire, which was just serviced, lost 11 pounds of air. It was the tire she had asked the service guy to make sure was inflated to 35 pounds. The piece de resistance for me as a customer was the mileage/service sticker that the same tech put on my windshield with the date and mileage. It fell off the minute I closed the door. Mr. Tire hires lazy inexperience technicians with no integrity On October 13, 2022, I requested a cabin filter, tire rotation, and complete diagnostic service to find a knocking sound that seemed to come from my front-end suspension. So long story, after completing a 3 - 4 hour job in two days, technicians K. Torvikey and S. Brake installed the wrong part improperly. Driving home after paying for the service, I noticed the vehicle's back end was vibrating violently. I immediately made a U-turn and headed back to the shop. I entered the shop and told the closing manager and the assigned tech what I had noticed while driving the vehicle. They both became defensive and dismissive of what I had brought to their attention. I began to get upset and left the shop. The following day I took my vehicle to Pep Boys. They found that they installed the wrong ball joint, and the retainer clip and the grease fitting were not placed onto the part. The tech at Pep Boys said they missed diagnosed the problem. The knocking sound was due to worn stabilizer links, not the ball joints. Also, the vibrating in the rear of the vehicle was due to the left rear tire falling off. The lug nuts were severely loose. Someone could have gotten seriously injured. They also charged me for replacing the cabin filter and never installed it. Although corporate gave me a full refund, I am left with damage to my vehicle due to the Mr. Tire store in Apex correcting the problem from the Mr. Tire location on Davis St. But that's a whole other story. The corporate office refused to pay for the current damage to my vehicle resulting from the misdiagnosis of the ball joint. The ball joint was never the issue and never should have been serviced. As a former U.S. Army Diesel Mechanic, with some hands on experience, I've noticed Mr. Tire hires very inexperience technicians. Lesson learned. read more

I have purchased every replacement tire from this place. I recently had a nail in one of my back tires that they couldn't patch. After they replaced the tire they talked me into purchasing a warranty to cover the tires for any reason should something like that happen again. After leaving, I noticed my car was shaking. I brought it back in thinking they had not properly aligned the tires when they replaced the back one. They checked it out and called to tell me that it's shaking b/c the other three tires aren't as new (they aren't that old btw) and I should replace the other three which the warranty they talked me into purchasing previously did not cover. I told them I would take it somewhere else b/c I do not trust these folks any longer. Writing this review to save someone else from getting the run-around and purchasing warranties that you don't need b/c they don't cover the tires! So frustrating!!!! read more

This used to be my go to oil change and tire place BUT No more. Front desk guys are always saying something is wrong with car and needs to sell another repair. My recent oil change there were no coupons available plus prices were $20 to $40 higher on my card. I was there and saw I guy come in for a simple tire plug in the tread or tires and not on the side wall and was told it can't be done. That's plain wrong. Staff was very friendly and gave me space to get work done while waiting for my oil change. I also got my car inspected, which was super simple and quick! After being a loyal customer for 14 years, I will never go back to Mr. Tire. They lied to my face and wasted 3 hours for my time when they knew I was on a tight time schedule. I needed a state inspection and new tires, so I made an appointment several days ahead letting them know which tires I wanted to buy. The tires could have waited because there was still over the legal minimum of 2/32 inch tread on all 4 tires. The manager started writing up the quote and added a shop fee that was not on the quote with two other fees. He did this when I asked him to match the price of the tires being sold at another tire shop a mile away. He looked at the tires on the car and said he was going to fail them all in the inspection, so it would save time to get the tires from him rather than risk failing a safety inspection. I pointed out that none of the tires were worn down to the 2/32 indicators yet. He said he has been doing this for 15 years and they will not pass inspection. He even got a gauge and measured the tread depth and it they over 2/23 inch, but said he was going to fail the tires anyways. I reluctantly gave him the go ahead to put on new tires to save time and left the car with Mr. Tire, hoping they would be finished quickly since I had a very busy day planned. After waiting 3 hours, I called the shop to check on the delay. The manager said the tires had not even arrived yet and he didn't order them until after I left, even though I indicated the tires we intended to buy several days earlier. He knew we were on a tight time schedule and didn't even mention that the tires were not even on site yet. We picked up the car and took it to Discount Tire where they took care of us quickly, professionally and at a lower price. Needless to say, Mr. Tire has lost the business of all 3 of my cars from now on. read more

Do not go to Mr Tire unless you want to deal with a drive way of oil because no one there knows how to replace a cap. After having to almost tow the car because of the amount of oil that leaked out to even drive it back to get fixed, we thought it would not happen again. Took my car for my next oil change last week and reminded them what happened. Well, I got home and parked only to leave with an entire area of oil on my driveway again!!!! I went back and they took it back and then said they "fixed" it. They were so lazy, they they intentionally cut the skid plate to get to the oil pan and said they "fixed" it. Never telling us they cut a 1ft x 1 ft hole to access the oil pan. How do I know this you ask? Because my car is still leaking oil so we looked under the car and saw the big hole! Mind blown! Go back and they are NOW saying they did not cut this hole. Well, I guess folks we have someone in Raleigh going around cutting peoples skidplates in the middle of the night. read more

I came here before back in March and the front desk guy was great, believe he was a military vet. He went above and beyond to make sure I was taking care of. But then came in today, Aug 2nd during lunchtime. I had called ahead a few days before and took off from work to get some service done. I was hoping to see the guy I saw before but there was somebody else new at the desk, an older man. When I arrived he did not greet me, ignored me while I stood there a while. Then finally asked "what do I need?" Said I had an appointment for a simple oil change. He said it'll take one hour. I came back after 70min and they hadn't started and he said it'll take longer but wasn't sure how long. He didn't apologize and was indifferent. So I asked for the keys back and he said sure, as I headed out he didn't say a word. I felt like he didn't want my business at all which is unfortunate as I was representing Carvana customer with a Carvana maintenance coupon. DO NOT GO HERE. THEY WILL TRY TO RIP YOU OFF. Please excuse my all caps, but I am FURIOUS. I don't usually go here, but I took my car in for an oil change because I happened to be in the area. I went grocery shopping while they were doing the oil change, and the guy working, Chris, called me and said that I need to get my break pads changed immediately. He said it was dangerous for me to drive and he couldn't just let me go without getting them changed. I didn't really have much time, so I told him that I will come back for it later. He even brought out what he claimed was "my break pads" that were so worn down and showed me, saying that he's not lying. Well, I took my car in to the place near my house where I usually go to get my break pads changed, and the guy tells me that my break pads are FINE. He said I'll be fine for at least another 10,000 miles. He also warned me that business is so slow because of COVID-19 these days that there are people out there who are trying to scam people to make more money. I am so mad. That is immoral. That is why I chose to take my vehicle in for routine maintenance to a place that operates by appointment. This place has no business telling customers they can sign up for appointments. I took my Honda in for an 8:00 am appointment. Decided to wait across the street at a coffee shop, and by 9:30 my vehicle sat in their parking lot untouched. The attendant said they were short staffed, so a little delay was expected, but 4+ hours for a tune up and safety inspection??? Ridiculous! Had I walked in without an appointment I could understand. Their idea of working by appointment is a joke. Unless you have unlimited free time and patience, stay away from this place. I've read all the reviews on this location and several noted recent changes in management as a possible reason for poor service. I'd say they're due for another change. read more

I was out in about 45 minutes for an oil change and tire rotation. I didn't feel any pressure on having to purchase any other services.
