Updating my review to five stars. We (my wife and I) have craved Mr Zeke's spicy wings since I previously wrote about my (our) delicious experience. And she isn't looking over my shoulder this time! Visiting Pinetop-Lakeside is wonderful whether during warm weather, the annual mountain bike race, or for snow. We now have yet another reason to return! She agrees. We'll be back.

Was not busy when arrived. Was seated quickly. Others that came in after us were helped before us. Very laid back and no system in place it seemed like. Food was decent. Seemed fresh. Zucchini had lots of potential. Was some brown in salad but tasted good. Wings were juicy but wish could've had a honey hot but choices were either honey bbq or hot.

I love this place! They have amazing burgers and fries. There are other dishes as well. Very relaxed and easy going atmosphere. The service was also excellent as well. Would highly recommend.

Food was delicious! Got the apple walnut salad with chicken, lemon basil pasta with chicken and the ribs and everything was yummy! Highly recommend and would definitely go back next time we are in town!

"For heaven's ZEKE :-)" I am pretty sure this would be your line once you dined in at Mr. Zeke's restaurant: The food is great. Service is commendable. The ambiance is artistically designed. We came here for dinner at Mr. Zeke's restaurant in Pinetop. I had the surf and turf tacos. These are 3 tacos served with steak, spicy-sweet slaw and homemade pico. I opted to have a sauteed shrimp on it. The combination of meat and seafood was perfectly balanced. Also, the salmon we ordered was moist and flavorfully cooked. I wanted a refreshing drink. The server suggested Arnold Palmer drink. It is a layered beverage that starts with the rich flavor of tea and finishes with a refreshing lemony twist. For dessert, we ordered their cheesecake (as I absolutely love cheesecakes) with fresh strawberry and topped with strawberry syrup and chocolate syrup. It was truly mouthwatering, with a creamy texture and a rich taste to your palate. The service was accommodating. Our server was keen that he checked on us to ensure that we were enjoying our meal. Mr. Zeke will always be a place I want to go back to. It's a must-visit in Pinetop.

Great portion sizes and pretty yummy!

Smells of scratch cooking welcome you as you walk in with smiles and the usual knickknacks for purchase to commemorate your trip abound. Seated outside and received our drinks quickly from our buss boy. Waiter arrived and took our order as the menu is large but it's got the staples if you're a breakfast fan it doesn't take long to decide. My buddy went with an omelet hash browns extra crispy w/ pancakes and myself the sausage link with over medium eggs home fries and toast. Large portions force you to take food to make decisions, over indulge, leave it behind, or take it to go. Thankfully we elected to leave it behind though it was all extremely delicious! We were given our check with no rush to leave but the travel plans had just begun so it was perfect. On our way out we just missed a rush as there was a line out the door so our 9:30am arrival was fortunate and awesome though we had no idea it would be. Definitely worth a morning breakfast if you're in this area!

We ordered at the counter and food was brought to our table. They brought fries for the kids meal instead of a fruit cup but quickly and graciously brought it out with a sincere apology. It was one of the best burgers I have had and all three types of fries were the perfect crispness and taste. Will definitely be recommending this anytime someone heads up to Show Low!

The place has that lived-in charm where locals know each other's orders, and the staff treats you like you're part of the club from minute one. I've made the Asian chicken wrap and twisted beef Philly my reliable go-tos--they nail that balance of fresh and hearty that keeps pulling me back. The morning totchos are a brilliant mess of everything breakfast should be, the chicken and waffle hits that sweet-savory note without trying too hard, and even their bagel with salmon comes out like they actually care about it. The vanilla matcha bubble tea deserves its own mention because it tastes like someone put thought into it rather than just dumping powder into a cup. Service here makes the food taste even better--attentive without hovering, friendly without being fake. The vibe is casual enough that you can show up in whatever you're wearing, but the food quality makes it clear they're taking things seriously where it counts. It's the kind of spot where you find yourself coming back not just for one signature dish, but because the whole experience just works.

Heads up folks, they don't season the meat unless you all for it to be seasoned!…read moreThe owner/manager was beyond rude! Told us that if don't have the money to pay we should not have come in, and told us to just leave. We left money on the table to pay for the other 2 meals that were eaten. We don't have a problem paying for our food, we have a problem with unseasoned meat that is over priced and tough. ($48 for a filet mignon) The owner took our steaks away, after 1 bite on one of the steaks and offered to give us 25% off, didn't offer to remake them, just took them away. It used to be a nice place, but that was the worst experience we have ever had. I don't think we will be back after that horrifyingly awful manager/owner and her overly rude comment. On a positive note, the server was fantastic even though the manager tried to made her the bad guy!

The mandatory buffet at $28.98 would be a bargain if they had a good cook or a chef. They must have put out the trays at 10 when they opened and when we came in at 12:15 the pancakes, the Benedict couldn't be cut with a steak knife. The prime rib was not available rare and could not have been any thinner. The prime rib and the ribs were so salty as to be almost inedible. What was left of the eggs had obviously been there over an hour. The sausage and bacon were dried out. The wait staff were friendly and it is a shame. They suffer from a cook with no taste and an owner who needs hearing aids. I hope before the word of mouth kills them that they get a cook who can cook or a consultation with a quality chef and rethink the music. Prime rib should be 1/2 inch minimum. Ribs should never be oversalted, and only make small amounts of foods for a buffet, replace items every half hour.
