I have never gotten any kind of wax before (let alone a Brazilian) and I was unsure of what to expect. I saw that Ms. Annie's other location had a lot of good reviews and I was glad they had location much closer to me. It was very easy to schedule my appointment online and I liked that they listed out what was included in each treatment so I didn't have to guess. The shop is very cute and clean and I appreciated that they sent clear instructions that they aren't in the main part of Plaza America. Laureley was very kind and chatted with me the whole time. I was surprised at how little pain I felt. It wasn't 100% painless, but it was certainly manageable and I was able to hold a conversatin the whole time. I did take some Advil ahead of time since I sometimes have a low tolerance to pain. She told me that if I continue with waxing, it usually gets less painful so if this is the worst it gets them I'm amazed! I am usually a pretty private person and was nervous about being so exposed with a stranger, but Laureley made me feel so comfortable. Since it was my first time, I was given a $10 discount, which was a nice surprise! Definitely planning on booking Laureley again before my wedding and honeymoon. read more

This was my first time both at this studio and having a Brazilian bikini wax. I was a tad nervous and my specialist, Kya, made me feel very comfortable as she was super friendly and understanding. She made sure I was okay and if I needed to take any quick breaks in between especially painful areas. She did an amazing job (my boyfriend thinks so too hehe)! The space was very clean and modern. AND they have a $10 off for new customers! I am super happy with this place and will definitely go again. I am recommending it to all my friends. I booked online and wasn't sure I had booked correctly. A little while after I booked someone reached out via text to check in on my appointments and helped me coordinate a better option. They were very helpful and responsive. The salon itself was beautiful and clean. Everyone I met was kind, friendly and helpful. Both Laureley and Kya made me feel at ease, as this was the first time I was getting waxed. They made me feel at ease through the process. I had hand waxing and underarms wax with Danielle. She is so gentle and my wax was literally painless. They use a special wax that i forgot the name of.. but she was great and made me comfortable . She has very gentle hands like a nurse (very kind too) thank you Dani !! The studio itself is bright and beautiful and very clean . I specially love the plant wall its such a happy vibe .. the studio is located in the plaza america center and parking is behind the building or when you take the next right after. Clean , welcoming, quick but not impersonal (they check in if you're ok as they wax you) , fair price , easy to book online or by phone, knowledgeable and respectful of the clients modesty comfort level and not too painful. I received a Brazilian wax. I used to go to the Ms.Annie's in Tyson's for 3 years , even through a move, but the one in Reston is closer to my home in Centreville and the service is the same , very good. The staff is so friendly at both locations. I usually go to Reston and it is always very clean and very calm. My waxer is so gentle and thoughtful about how I feel as I'm getting serviced. I used to go European wax center in Alexandria but when I loved to Reston and they opened their location here, I knew I HAD to find somewhere better. Annie was very informative and through about the process of the wax as well as the follow-up care. The waxing process was very fast and efficient. The waxing itself is not painful as you think.
