Al I have to say about this place is WOW! The sandwiches are huge! And everything tastes so fresh! You can't go wrong with anything on the menu! If I'm ever visiting Tacoma again this will be a must visit place. Super friendly staff and the place looks very clean and has allot of sitting. This place has a very good homie neighborhood vibe if that makes sense.

Line was super long, no one picked up the phone so we assumed it was busy! (45 minute wait for sandwiches.) You would not expect much from the outside but the sandwiches are great! There's a reason they're so busy. There's a bigger room in the back with tables where you can eat.

Seriously, the best deli sandwiches I've ever had in my whole entire life. The customer services A1 this place has been around for at least 30 years that I'm aware of the service is great and the ambience is great. The staff behind the counter works very hard and diligent in getting your order correct they use the best ingredients in house. Everything is cut. It is amazing. I mean it's 20 bucks for a sandwich but it's definitely worth it and I got two meals out of my sandwich. It's conveniently located right off of sixth Avenue easy to find and has a large ample parking area. If you don't go here you're crazy.

This is the kind of sandwich I dream about. If your a guy who gets a 12 inch at a sub chain you only want about a medium here. I ordered a large and ate until I was stuffed and still had half a sub. Prices are good, and they have a good selection of chips and soda, not just your standard 3 flavors like most chains..I want to give an extra shout out to the thick slices of gabbagoul . YUM! Be warned there is often a 30 to 60 minute wait during the peak hours... Trust me it's worth the wait. Just call and order your sub ahead of time if you don't want to wait.

Had an EXCELLENT experience here. I asked what was popular and was told the Deli Club or Mikes Deluxe. The Club was the employees favorite for the crunchy bacon and avocado. So I went with the Deli Club. Girls love them some avocado. $18.99 for a $13 inch sub seemed a little high priced until I saw the sandwich. Like they really mean 13"!!!! It was wrapped in butcher paper because this Sammie is so massive. It easily could feed 2 people, one of them having a large appetite! Every bite was delicious, not dry corners of bread on the edges at all. And somehow they've mastered that with each bite you take the filling actually doesn't slide out. It's freaking tasty magic!! The avocado spread must have been a tiny bit salted because best avocado I've had in a while!! Yes I noticed. I was glad I got the club because the REAL triple bacon crunch paired with the avocado and turkey was phenomenal. I even thought the shredded type lettuce worked well in this sub. And no soggy tomato slices! The Sammie was a 10/10. I only wished I lived closer so I could get a reasonably priced lunch or dinner anytime from here. Man how do the employees stop themselves from eating here all the time? I wouldn't be able to. Do yourself a favor and stop in sometime. Heck the beverage selection will even blow you away.

Wanted a good Deli sandwich for awhile and MSM was the recommended place to go. It was just as I expected. A good Deli, the service was awesome and the young lady who helped made it easy to find good selection. Hey it's a Deli and has that Deli atmosphere. You can tell it's a good place because the to go orders were consistently being called in and the foot traffic was just as busy. If people are willing to wait 24-30min for a sandwich then it has to be good. It is very good and worth the visit and wait. So go order and enjoy.

Excellent sandwich spot. Stumbled into this very unassuming deli/market during the art walk. I read excellent reviews and my bff said it's very good. It's a simple deli with your traditional sandwich options (although I eyeballed a Cubano on the menu). I ordered the turkey club, 9" which was incredibly generous! After seeing the reviews and comments, I had to try this place. We dropped off the kid and my wife and I headed to this sandwich haven. I love a good cuban sandwich, but it has to be a real cuban sandwich. Good roll pressed yep Slow cooked pork yes Ham nice quantity Dill pickles & Yellow mustard absolutely necessary and don't give me the seeded or Grey poupon...it doesn't have the right flavor. Don't try fancy pickles...it doesn't work. Swiss cheese check No mayo. Get that away from my sandwich. From the 1st bite, I was hooked. I love the amazing umami flavors or the rich slow roasted pork mixed with the perfectly salted ham. Then comes in those tart flavors of the pickles and mustard, it start to hit all my favorite flavors in something that never made sense in my mind, but blows away with how it works. The swiss cheese balances things perfectly. I just love a real cuban sandwich. I can't even remember or care what else was ordered...it just doesn't matter.

Wow...... very good subs, we ordered the big Mike's sub $12 for a 13 inch sub, so good. The only thing is that if you plan ahead, call your order in ahead of time. It will normally takes 45min wait. Call ahead and enjoy. read more

I have tried to like this place several times that I have made an attempt to purchase a sandwich. The first time I ordered a turkey on wheat and it came on White bread. I took it back and again waiting for the sandwich to be made on wheat bread and again it was made on White bread. Third time's a charm I guess, because I took it back and they made it on wheat bread but never put the tomatoes or onions on. I can't even take a picture of the sandwich because I was so disgusted. read more

I can always count on MSM Deli for consistency! My Usual: Mikes deluxe TOASTED! The bread is always fresh and never stale. There amount of meat and toppings are always the same which I appreciate. There is nothing more disappointing when you get a monster sandwich, only to find out it was like that because one specific person makes it that way. Not here! Staff: 5 stars They are always nice and approachable guys. They make you feel like you're a regular if when it's your first time. I can't recommend this place enough. It's like sandwich heaven. From the outside, you'd never know that the gates of heaven were within. Get the Reuben. Get the meatball. Get the Cuban. Eat them all. Buy a 26" and make your friends eat some. Convert them to the glory that is MSM. read more

Call in order ahead! We had a maintenance shut down and needed to feed a crowd. Called day before to place order. Day of came in and order was ready and waiting. Employee was courteous and help carry large order to my vehicle. Mikes Deluxe sandwiches and cookies were a hit! Their pickles are also delicious. read more

Meatballs were served cold. Steak was undercooked and sent back twice! Salads were fresh but were lettuce only with a few back olives for color. It took twenty four minutes before our order was taken. Drinks weren't prepared as presented on their menu. Restaurant no longer has booths. Caters to bar more so than family restaurant! My girlfriend and I ordered two sandwiches, an Italian cold and an American cold. Both were awesome. Being from the east coast and considering myself a deli connoisseur, I can say these sandwiches are quite delicious. As far as size goes, one was a 6" and one was a 9". The 9" was massive because it's packed fat; I could only imagine what the 13" is like. The only reason I'm pinging this place for a star is because it didn't seem they were doing that well with safety precautions regarding the pandemic. It was nice that a person brought the food to your car after you ordered, but they weren't wearing gloves or even a mask. We tried to order on the phone to avoid the line and congregating people but couldn't get through. It made me question their overall cleanliness. Overall, I'd recommend this place because of the awesome food. Just take precautions going there! read more

Whenever I am down in Tacoma stopping here is an absolute must. It is peak hole in the wall / local secret. They have perfected the ratios of all the sandwiches such that they are never dry or too wet and every bite is perfection. Without a doubt the best sandwiches i have ever had. Came into this little town hungry for some deli sandwiches. I got the philly cheesesteak and my bf got the Italian. Both were ok. The philly meat was a bit choppy, which I wasn't a big fan of. My bf said the Italian was alright, we're both a big fan of sandwiches and so far New York have the best sandwiches. Service was alright. Their sandwiches are good. Not the greatest sandwiches as some would have you believe. I understand it's a Tacoma original and we like to be represented but it s just a good Sammie. It fits that craving when you want a MSM sandwich. To be clear, I'm not an out of towner. Tacoma is home. Their cookies... I love em. Especially when fresh. The last TWO times I went to this establishment for a 6 inch sub around lunchtime (at noon) they told me it would be a 35 MINUTE WAIT. For a 6inch cold sub. Considering my lunch break is only 30 minutes I will not attempt to ever eat here again. Save your gas money and go somewhere else. read more

THE best Sandwich place in the Tacoma area hands down. Bread is soft and fluffy like clouds and the portion size is generous to say the least, the deli club is my go to and you'll never be unsatisfied , The line is long but that also attests to the severity and deliciousness of these sandwiches. Big shoutout to the dude working the counter who is hustling around helping people left and right and the ladies in the back makin sandwiches with the red hot intensity of 1000 suns. read more

Easily one of my fav places in Tacoma! NOTHING beats MSM. They put Subway, Jimmy John's or any other sandwich place to shame. It's clean, everyone is friendly, great items on the menu. They're definitely the best sandwiches in town. read more

So as my go to guide I yelped it! And up popped Kusher Bakery. You know I had to go and today we went there. It's an Eastern European bakery, and grocery store with products from multiple Eastern Europe countries. The selections are very good and then there is the bread baked daily except on Sunday. A bonus is the fact all the fresh baked bread can be sliced for you or you can take it home and slice it yourself. Having this service is great. Dark rye, 12-grain, and others that are....... well too many and all looked delicious. There is fresh baked Lavash, soft and delicious and many of the breads were still warm and fresh. The fresh piroshki! Awesome to say the least, Chicken, Cheese, Cabbage, and Apricot were available and hot. Look you can go to the other market on 70th and get very good stuff and pay quite a lot more, or go to Kusher and get a better selection and pay reasonable prices. Yes it is smaller but bigger is not always better and having this small place is a positive. For me Kusher wins hands down. So go, look around and get some awesome stuff.

We got a table in the bar so my husband could keep an eye on the basketball game. and while service was better it wasn't great, food was dropped off by someone who said not a word, literally dropped plates and walked away, and food was good but not the standout it once was, drink was also pretty awful. So sad to see such a shining star of a place in Tacoma fall so far. Seeing almost empty on a Saturday night confirmed it's not just us that has noticed such sad changes to the place.

We waited for a spot but observed it cleared out, then filled again. The sandwiches we ordered were served on fresh delicious bread. There is a range of sizes from 6-26 inches as well as a good selection of sandwiches and some soups. Drinks are a large selection of domestic and imported beer, soda and wine. There are several aisles of chips, sweets and other convenience store foods. While I only saw a half dozen tables, i have been informed by my local friends there is another room with more seating if you choose to eat in.
