When we arrived about 8:45pm, the staff told us that the kitchen had already closed. I told them that we didn't know that they would close the kitchen before the restaurant closes at 9:00 pm. When I inquired as to how these parties were being sat before us the host/owners son(only because of his arrogance) began to argue with me and insist he knew what he was doing. After I walked away to avoid conflict he continued to approach me to argue. It was more important for him to prove he knew what he was doing. He approached me three times to continue his rant. Not to mention the food isn't that great and way overpriced. Our meal came out overcooked and cold. After all the time they made us wait they rushed us out and never checked on us. read more

This is definitely not like any other diner I've been to before. It's more of an upscale vibe (bonus: bathrooms are good!). We started with the Tex Max Spring rolls which to my surprise the best part of my lunch! They are BIG, but the sweet and spicy sauce was perfect! I ordered the Chicken Vodka tacos which the chicken cutlet were the taco and stuffed with penne! I was only able to finish one at the diner but it was delicious! The chicken Parmesan sandwich was your average o, not amazing but not bad! Overall, a great selection of food and crazy options. Absolutely horrible wait staff. They hardly speak English and they actually argue with you. After the waiter argued with me, he took my food away. I told him I had allergies. I told him what I wanted and he brought me something I didn't want. He said it came with it, but I told him it's not what I ordered. He brought it back and returned with the same eggs. The other wait staff all watched speaking in a foreign language I was in shock I am a very frequent customer. I will never go back there again. They actually think that I was stupid when they sent a waiter over to pretend he was the manager/owner. Why he was speaking to me he wasn't even looking at me in the eye. He was looking all around the restaurant, I cannot believe this place is still in business. Prices are astronomical and the food is not really that great. It's average! They need to retrain their staff that the customer is always right and never argue with a customer. It's rude. They need to remember without customers they have no business.. This was our second visit to Mt. Kisco Diner, which was fine by me. We stopped here once begin our way to Philly. This place has an amazing menu, something for everyone. The service is also amazing, nobody sitting around here. Everyone, which was mostly young people, were running back and forth to keep customers satisfied. Obviously the plan is to get people in and out quickly. This place can get busy, very bus, but we lucked out, getting there before the rush! My wife couldn't understand why it was called a restaurant, and not a restaurant. It is set up like a restaurant, with all the diner style foods you could want. We ordered two coffees and two waters with our meal and bus boy delivered only one of each. Had to ask for second. However, my pesto grill cheese and tomato soup was divine!! Probably one of the best tomato soups I've ever had and the grill cheese was delicious. My BLUEBERRY BLISS drink looked pretty but tasted bad, You have to smash the blueberries to get the flavors out instead they left the berries whole.The wait to get a table might take a while, as it's usually crowded during dinner service. This is quite a fancy diner. The prices are also quite fancy. As far as diners go, they have an extensive menu with quite a few upscale versions of traditional fare. For example, Mac and cheese is made with shells and some nicer cheese. They also have a great selection of craft milkshakes. The presentation of the shakes is really impressive. Their eggs Benedict and home fries are horrible. The home fries looked like mashed potato and lacked flavor, the bread and Canadian bacon was over cooked. There was no way I was eating that I had to order something else and then waited 30 minutes. Energy from waitresses/waiters was very poor. Management can be improved. I have lived in Westchester County my entire life and finally had a chance to try this place out. Needless to say I was excited to be wowed. Unfortunately, my experience was not "wowing" by any means. The wait on a Saturday night was about an hour for a table for two people. Once we were seated, we were very close to a couple next to us who very easily could ease drop on our conversation. The waiter seemed a tad aloof and a little unsure of the menu options. My friend and I ordered the veggie burger and mac and cheese grilled cheese. I really loved my mac and cheese grilled cheese, it was everything I imagined and had seen on instagram. The veggie burger did not cut it for me. It was awful. It had tasted they like had just taken it out of the freezer and barely defrosted it, it was still cold. For dessert, I honestly just wanted a bowl of ice cream and my friend, who had been here before, said she recommended a banana split for us to share. When we asked the waiter for a banana split he replied that it was impossible for them to make, even though my friend has had one here before. We instead settled on the banana and nutella quesadilla. It was disgusting. We literally tore it apart and just ate banana covered in nutella. This place is not worth the hype, which is unfortunate. I don't know if I'll be back. read more

This weekend we tried this place for the first time. Hopefully, it won't be the last. We were up in the area on an errand, had heard good things about the diner, so we decided to stop in. We were very happy with everything, food, service, atmosphere, everything. They were doing a brisk business, which is always a good sign. Rather than wait for a table, we took our name off the list when two seats opened at the bar. And we really enjoyed the lively atmosphere. The quality of the food and drinks was top-notch. Portions were big. Service was fast and friendly. I had a really good burger, served with really good onion rings. My wife branched out a bit and ordered a chicken burrito bowl. It was huge, and very good. I ended up leaving a few onion rings behind to help her out with the chicken. We ended up taking dessert to go, since we were sitting beside the case. Last night we ventured to @mtkiscodiner and instantly got excited. The menu is huge! I mean really huge. We started off with the loaded potato skins. It was delish by I felt needed some scallions. My niece settled on the birthday pancakes and loved it. My sis settled on the superman (super hero no pun intended) and loved it, and I got an Italiano panini and felt it was just ok. I had the sangria and definitely loved it! This is going to sound strange, but I dipped my fries in the pancake syrup with sprinkles and bayyyyyyy-beeeeeee! This Diner has to be one of the fanciest I've ever been to. Its not your typical juke box machine and ice cream float kind of diner. Its full of white table cloth tables. The menu is extensive. It includes breakfast all day diner faves as well as some more upscale entree options. The power farro bowl looked really appetizing but I opted for the Salmon salad. The salmon was really well prepared. Crispy on the outside but still flakey. It came with a healthy portion of avocado and romaine lettuce. I loved the fried tortilla strips on top. They added a nice crunch and stayed crispy even after I poured the citrus dressing over the salad. The service was not as attentive as I would have liked but I really enjoyed my meal. read more

I've been wanting to try this place for ages based on their wild IG photos and I finally made it. There was a 30 min wait early Sunday afternoon and the parking lot is pretty small. However, The host is amazing and has true command over the dozens of people coming in and out. Props to him. We had the appetizer sampler to start and it was ok. Just a plate of fried food- nothing special to be honest. I ordered the banana Nutella waffle and my BF had the boom pesto wrap. Both were great ! I was so so excited to try this place. I have been stalking their Instagram for a year and finally made the 45 mile trip to get here and boy, was this place a disappointment. Upon arrival there was a 20 minute wait for a table or we could sit at the counter right away, so we chose that option. After waiting about 5-10 minutes my friend asked for me menus. We asked for another minute when it was time to order so we could decide which turned into 10 minutes. We had no utensils, no napkins nothing. My friend and I had planned on getting a few things to eat there and then a few things to take home since this place is so far. After they recently posted a photo of their, what looked amazing, French onion soup, we each had to get one. We also decided to get an order of fries to share. The first thing I did when my soup came was try to recreate the photo from their Instagram. Sadly, I couldn't. The soup in the post looked fresh and extra cheesy with some parsley on top. I got something very different. The fries were absolutely disgusting. We got the buffalo ranch fries to share and they came half frozen. This is where I got pissed. I couldn't find our waiter so I stopped a bus boy. I asked for some napkins and that our fries were cold. The bus boy proceeded to walk away, go up to a woman that also worked there where he whispered, pointed to me and then they laughed. I don't know what they found so funny but I found it very rude. Eventually the waiter came over and took our fries away. He brought us new ones but they were also cold and disgusting. I gave up. We definitely did not take any food home either. I would say avoid this place at all costs. For a French onion soup and sharing fries, it cost us $15 each. That's a bit high for horrible good. read more
