My latest stop was a few days ago because I was hungry and going to the nail salon next-door so I decided to give the rice bowl a try to see if it has changed and sadly it has not. Bummer. This is a cute Italian deli with fairly nice people, but it's wayyyy overpriced and the food isn't great. They get pretty good business, but my guess is that is due to a lack of options, rather than a true following. I ordered a small prosciutto and mozzarella sandwich and a small tortellini salad. Neither was good. The sandwich tasted like the prosciutto wasn't super fresh, although the mozzarella was tasty. Bread was just okay. The tortellini salad was just sad - I like al dente pasta, but this was hard, almost stale and undercooked at the same time. Nice little selection of cheeses and Italian ingredients, but I won't be back. Small sandwich + small salad (which she STUFFED into the container btw) = approximately $14.00. OY. read more

Stopped in for lunch. 2 medium sandwiches, 2 sodas, 2 cookies, and a sausage bread for later. Over 40 bucks, not cheap, but not over the top. The place looks nice and the staff is quite friendly. Good sandwiches, the homemade cookies were just like my grandma made them. I would return if i was in the area again. So why the low stars? The sausage bread. Not good at all. Heated it in the oven, and it just didnt smell or look good. As if it hadnt been baked through, and sure enough the dough was raw outside and in the middle and the sausage was inedible. A shame. Bought it as a surprise for my brother. I am sure if i brought it to the attention of the people in the store, that they would make good on it but i am not from the area. Agree with everyone that it's soooo pricey...I spent over $40 and walked out with a large sandwich, small sandwich and two small containers of pastas/mozzarella sides...the sandwiches were huge and very generously stuffed so I will give them that much. The food was fresh and tasted homemade. The eggplant wrap was really good. Service was fine...I went on an off time. There isn't anything else comparable in terms of Italian delis in the area so I think that's what helps keep this place going. It's def a good local place for homemade Italian food/sandwiches but bring extra $$! read more

I have gotten lunch from Mucci's a few times now, and every time it has been amazing. Today I got a chicken cutlet sandwich with broccoli rabe, fresh mozzarella & balsamic. I called it in and it was ready within 5 minutes. In addition, I got their macaroni salad. Fantastic and that is hard for me to say, since, no one and I mean no one's mac salad comes even close to my mom's. And I have had a lot of mac salad in my day. Was looking for a good italian sub shop near work, and found this place. Went to the shop, and only one person was ahead of me. The lady who was making the sandwiches finished taking their cash, and then proceeded to make two sub sandwiches with no gloves. She didn't wash her hands in between her last transaction (handling cash), and then was slicing and preparing our food with no gloves. She was manhandling each individual slice... I've never been so grossed out in my life. The next person that came in- she promptly finished up my transaction, PUT ON GLOVES, and made their sandwiches. My family and I have been customers here for several years and I honestly don't know what all the complaints are about from the other Yelpers. Yes, the prices are not the cheapest but I think that the quality of the food makes the little extra paid more than worth it. On the Mucci's website, a sandwich was listed as $6.99 under the "Today's Specials" portion of the site, so I went to order it and pick it up. It rang up at almost $10, so I politely showed the ad to the woman who was serving me, and she said "oh no that's not for today." So I said "well it's advertised as today," to which she responded "no honey, that's from Tuesday or Wednesday." Upon realizing that she was not going to honor the advertised price, I smiled and left.
