Great take on classic English muffin breakfast sandwiches! However, the images on the menu and what you actually get are wildly different. First came here and tried the mother muffin which has salmon, capers, and cucumbers - tasty but there was barely any salmon on it. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and figured they were running low, but I came back again and tried the americano and it had one piece of bacon cut in half and I think they forgot the cheddar cheese. Luckily, the egg was yummy with the aioli otherwise I would have taken the sandwich back. Everything has always tasted great, but the menu is a little misleading for what you get. The wait was too long for Saturday so I didn't get to taste anything. I gave up after 30 minutes. It's located out doors has no inside dinning and it was very busy on Saturday. What I like: staff is friendly, there's never been a line when I've gone (generally on a week-day between 10am and 11am), and they make my order quickly. What I don't like: portions are small for the price. If items were a couple bucks less, or portions were bigger, then I'd consider it affordable. As it stands, it fits the standard of Ventura Blvd restaurants which is to say it's overpriced. They don't take cash, which isn't uncommon now for businesses but there's a million reasons why I hate this. Namely, because I like to use cash. Also, it's discriminatory -- many states/municipalities have banned it for this reason. This is advertised by businesses that do this as being a service convenience for the guest because it makes the ordering process more streamlined. In reality, the reasons why businesses opt to go cashless are as follows: 1 - liability is reduced significantly when they don't keep banks or cash revenue on hand. This prevents robberies and can potentially save the business money on their insurance premiums. 2 - cash handling is costly. Along with hours spent in labor for counting/depositing/exchanging/etc., armored vehicle services for deposits aren't cheap. 3 - it allows a business to deny service to certain demographics who would be unlikely to have access to a credit or debit card i.e. unhoused residents. This is particularly sad because there are a lot of unhoused residents in this area and this location has a service model that would make serving these residents easy because there's no indoor lobby or guest restroom. I've given this place a few shots because I pass by them several times a week and I like the concept -- but with the price and the fact that real money is no good there, I'd say it's unlikely that I'll return. read more

Honestly I really like the food. But I order from Postmates from them often, and they have now missed items in my order 3 TIMES. I order often for work, so multiple items, and something is always missing. I always contact Postmates for support. Still, I was intrigued by the menu and I love a good play on words so I checked it out. I ordered the Americano muffin and the Mafia club and both were delicious. I also tried the overnight oats and they were tasty. Ordering was easy and pick-up was quick. I'm trying to figure out when I can go back! The only problem I had was that I wanted to ask a food-allergy related question about a menu item but they didn't answer the phone. The recording said to just order online. I couldn't order without knowing the answer to my question so I went in person and asked and then ordered and waited (no big deal) but I would have preferred to know the answer beforehand. -1 star because the food was just okay and -1 star because it's definitely overpriced. I got the Sausage Redemption, which was a glorified McMuffin (no egg). I will say, however, that the english muffin was super soft and pillowy, but for $7.75, it definitely didn't wow me. My husband got the Mother Muffin, which had salmon, cucumber slices, a special cream cheese, tomatoes, and capers. It was, again, good but didn't wow. This was also $7.75, which seemed so strange since it had more to offer than the Sausage Redemption at the same price. Hash brown for $1.75 which was most likely a frozen store bought hash brown that was over fried. Not worth it. Carma Coffee was $3.75. Tasted like a caramel macchiato from Starbucks. No complaints here. Cold Brew coffee was also $3.75, but it was basically half ice. Banana Nut muffin was $3.95. It was good, but I would've liked it better with more nuts. I swear there were just a couple sprinkled on the top. We also got a Blueberry Muffin for the same price but haven't eaten it yet so nothing to report on here. Total was $36. Overall, nothing to really rave about about. The portions are also pretty small. Parking can be rough, but that's how it is down the entire street, so that's not surprising. Food was delicious but what really ruined this for me was the man who assisted us. He made NO effort to welcome us or tell us more about the menu. His facial demeanor was that of someone who did not want to be there. From greeting to end of our order, this man did not say one word to us. On top of that, I found a hair in my salmon sandwich and this man just said "you found a hair? Ohhh" THATS IT. There was no initiative at all to even mend the situation. He's tall has blue eyes with curly-ish short hair. I've worked in customer service for 10 years. & I understand one having bad days, but this killed my mood instantly.
