Decided to stop into Muffin Can Stop Us for a little breakfast at lunchtime. As others have noted, the parking lot is a touch tricky, with most of the spots reserved for other businesses; so you have to juggle between what's left in the lot and what's available on the street. Not a big deal at this time of day, but could be difficult at high-volume times. The place itself is a fun and funky spot, with a bold yellow decor evoking egg yolk "distressed" by artsy graffiti, and homey, antique shop-looking tables and couches (though tables outside are of a more uniform, weather resistant type). Despite the homey touches in the design, the menu itself could be described as marginally elevated fast food devoid of any home-cooked touches. A selection of egg sandwiches served on English muffins, some actual muffins of the blueberry type, and some blended drinks and coffees, etc. Nothing all that inventive or interesting, and certainly not reaching the creativity or execution of EggSlut. I opted for the traditional American Sandwich with bacon, egg and cheddar, but without aioli, as I'm not keen to put mayo on my egg sandwiches. I also ordered a side of hash browns and a Diet Coke. Once delivered, the sandwich in reality was even less exciting than its description. Rather than the sunny side up egg prominently displayed in all the photos, the sandwich was delivered with an egg over hard, ergo there was no yolk to add creaminess or flavor to the sandwich. Bacon and cheese were standard issue with no specific taste to distinguish them from what any teen might make at home. The jumbo-sized Thomas' English Muffin is appreciated, but was served under-cooked and doughy. Likewise, the hash brown patty was of the generic commercial type, and came lukewarm without much crisp. Given how dry and bland it all was, I decided to try a dab of the mayo-looking sauce that was included in an unmarked plastic packet -- indeed, it was a slightly spicy, very artificial-tasting commercial mayo that actually made the bite worse. So, while the concept is a fun one, the look of the place amusing, and the staff quite friendly, the bland, haphazardly prepared food really is a disappointment, and I see no reason to return.
A lazy Sunday morning adrift in the sea of hunger and once again my nose leads me to another contender of a great breakfast on a beautiful day. I opted to have a refreshing peach infused ice tea that was a pleasant passenger to the Sausage Redemption I ordered which came in a handy paper holder that kept my hands clean! Flavor profile wise, the aioli brightened up the flavors of the sausage and the egg, and made me audibly MMMM in joy. I can't under praise the hashbrowns, as they were the right amount of salty and weren't heavy and super oily. The staff had the brightest smiles on their faces and genuinely seemed to enjoy have conversations with their customers as we ate our food. Something about humans connecting always makes my food taste better, that's for sure. We didn't break the bank either, since I definitely got my money's worth. I have a whole menu on my try list now! I was looking forward to some waffles and an egg sandwich this morning. My friend and I ordered Muffin Can Stop Us via postmates this morning and were utterly shocked at the waffles that came in. The waffles had 2 black and furry looking mold on them. I'm at a loss of words to be honest because I was expecting better and was given good reviews about this spot. I can't speak on the service and ambiance since wasn't physically at their location but I hope they work in their quality control. On a brighter note, the egg was fresh and tasty.
Decent muffin shop, the muffin sandwich was made fast and employees are friendly. Sausage redemption 3/5. Solid sausage muffin that has cheese and sausage. For the price of $9 it is a bit steep. McDonald's is definitely better for price and taste.
I saw that Muffin Can Stop Me's rating went down a little, and I honestly wanted to leave a review because this place deserves some love. This has been one of my favorite breakfast spots in LA for a long time. I've ordered from here so many times, especially on those days when I need something quick, delicious, filling, and reasonably priced. And they have never disappointed me. The quality has always been good, my orders always arrive fresh, and everything tastes exactly the way I expect and in time! This is the reason I keep coming back. And I have to give a special shoutout to their hash browns: honestly, one of my favorite hash browns in LA. Perfectly crispy, not greasy, and always cooked just right. This is definitely one of my go-to breakfast places, and I'll happily keep supporting them.
Just stopped by for breakfast, usually people in the morning are not very friendly or full of personality. But I was so impressed to find a gentleman names Gil at the counter who was so helpful so sweet and such good positive energy. Not only is there food and coffee great but Gil literally was the cherry on top. I highly recommend this place.
I like the service at this place a lot. And the food, naturally. But for some reason they keep it weirdly warm inside. Like it was a p warm day when I was in there last and it was still hotter inside than out. Sometimes owners skip on ac in a misguided attempt to save money, which is a bad call for workers, guests, and general vibes. Plus it seems like there's no management. Staff was working hard, but no one doing expo work or just overseeing the whole flow of operations. Nixing management positions is another weird thing owners do to save on operation costs. Hoping they're doing ok. Would be a shame to lose a favorite local breakfast spot. Staff definitely deserves better.
A good spot for a grab-and-go breakfast as it is reasonably priced, with quick service and made to order items. However, there are no restrooms at this location which makes it inconvenient if you like to wash your hands before eating. The indoor space has loud music and a bold yellow and black color scheme. Outdoor seating includes benches and bar style tables with umbrellas. While muffins are the namesake here, they're not the only option. The menu also includes waffles, parfaits, oatmeal and hash browns. An interesting variety of coffee, tea and lemonade complements the breakfast offerings. That said, the Americanos we ordered were disappointing: cold, weak and ultimately tossed after one sip. We tried the bacon and sausage muffins, and both were delicious. They reminded us of a more upscale version of a McDonald's breakfast sandwich but slightly larger and better quality. I'm torn if I would go back only because my morning coffee is just as important as the meal.
First timers. For starters the manager is such a catch. Great energy, and very welcoming. The sandwiches were sooo good as expected , they are just like the pictures. I love and gold muffin sandwich. So good we forgot to include them in the photos. And just for it being our first time Gale , the manager , gave us 2 free samplers of the fruit bowls... mmm mm mm , what a delicious way to end our experience, 10/10. We will be back. We also got to sit outside and enjoy our food during this good summer weather as enjoy the esthetic, not to mention the air conditioning really works inside we did want to switch spots.

cute place but disappointing food. Everything was gummy. I ordered a muffin egg cheese, bacon sandwich. The muffin was gummy. The egg was overcooked and super rubbery. There was one slice of bacon and the cheese had melted out into the bottom of the box that the sandwich came in. They have lots of different muffin sandwiches. next time, I would definitely ask for the muffin to be toasted. The people were very nice. I asked if they refill coffee and they said no, but the gentleman behind the counter offered to give me more coffee. I passed -- the coffee was not good. They have inside and outside seating. Parking can be a big challenge!!!

Amazing breakfast spot, wow! Took a nice walk down Ventura for this little treat and, yes, I ordered two sandwiches (don't judge me). A nice space to sit outside and enjoy a delicious morning sammie while tunes are playing on the speakers. You order at a walk-up counter window, then wait maybe less than 5 minutes for your order to be called. I have always been a fan of English muffins, you can pretty much put in there and call it a delicacy. I ordered the mother muffin salmon sandwich and the sausage redemption (impossible, no cheese), and both were divine. They also give you Cholula hot sauce packets (!!!!). Parking didn't seem to be an issue and you can also order online in advance to pick up. I will definitely be back -- highly recommend! read more

So I approached the window to asked about my order (it's now 10:59) Indian lady tells me rudely you order Is being bagged and just looks at me and says we'll call You when it ready . Not coming back. Paid 30 in total for two of their sandwiches & two orange juices the juices are great fresh but ordered a salmon muffin & after my first bite there was no salmon? For paying full price kinda expected a little more than a small chunk of salmon. My ladies muffin was bland & she didn't even finish half of it. Pretty excited to try this place! Service was super fast and pleasant. Cute location surrounded by lots of other restaurants. Waited about 4 mins for this bad boy. I am usually a bacon gal but the salmon was on top of the menu so I feel like I had to get it. First few bites were amazing the bread was crispy but soft ughhhhh. At the end it started getting really salty not sure if it was the salmon or the sauce but I still finished it. The OJ was decent wasn't as pulpy as I like fresh oj but still no complaints! And one star is because yelp won't let you zero stars . I ordered online. When it said it was available I drove to pick it up. I gave my name and order number and I was told when I got there the order wasn't made. They found my ticket and started to make it. Then I waited for about 5 minutes and another employee asked "what did I order" and gave me an order. I had to ask for the orange juice I paid for. I get in the car to see it's not my order and go back. the employee rudely said "I asked you what you ordered. With that energy, I decided maybe there is another issue here. I asked for a refund and a business card instead. Had an early morning today and decided to stop by Muffin and I'm glad i did! I got an iced Horchata latte which was divine. I also got the sausage redemption- added spinach and tomato. It was made to perfection. Ingredients were fresh and the muffin was warm and delicious. I'm usually in search for a good, quick breakfast and this was it! Just okay. The rose coffee was fantastic, but everything else was either bland or salty. We tried the Americano, salmon, sujoo, and the hashbrown. The salmon was the salty one and the others were just kind of bland (though the sujook meat on its own was decent). If I'm in the area, I might give this place another try simply because of how wonderful the coffee was. read more

The overall process is very basic, but the food quality is poor. The Lux sandwich is very smelly and does not taste fresh. I would rate this place 2 out of 10. They also offer a yogurt sauce, but it does not complement the sandwich. I would not recommend coming back here as there are better places to eat in Studio City. I don't usually do breakfast muffins but seeing good reviews for this place made me want to try it. I got the Mother Muffin Salmon and Madame Muff and they were both pretty good! I liked Madame Muff more than the salmon one. Bomb. Com I can't believe I've never been here before! Breakfast is my jam, and breakfast sandwiches are my weakness. This place offers a wide selection of some favorite morning delights. From vegan options to tasty salmon with dill, I'm 100% sure you'll find the perfect fix. I ordered the mother muffin salmon, hash brown, and orange juice. My husband ordered the madame muff muffin with avocado . We were both very impressed with the presentation and taste! The salmon was perfectly paired with dill, cucumbers and what seems to be a secret sauce. We must confess, the madame muff muffin was a bit messy, and we couldn't stop eating the endless cheese that drip as you remove its sleeve, but it's feasible to finish in one piece. We added avocado on it and it was the perfect match. The juice is freshly squeezed, you can taste the freshness, ;) and hash brown perfectly browned. There's only outdoor seating so don't forget to enjoy the beautiful scenery of Ventura Blvd and exotic cars that drive by. Great food and coffee! When I first found this establishment on Yelp, I thought it was genius. My mind hasn't changed. The muffins are excellent, and the coffee is so delicious! The service was also amiable. A great, small place can sometimes bring many people and some obstacles! The parking is minimal, and the wait for my muffin was about 15-20 minutes long. The only reason why I'm giving this place a 4 and not a 5 is because I did NOT like the mother muffin salmon. However, this was my first time at this place and I do plan on going back to try something else. So I'm not going to rule this place out just yet lol. I really wanted to love this place. I know the chef and love his creations. But felt like the food needs a little polishing. Ordered the following: Zaatar and Friends Vaccino Coffee The Zaatar sandwich - It was good. Fresh with the mint. But it was soooooo overpowered with all that cucumber, I couldn't even taste the zaatar. Plus the sandwich completely fell apart. After it fell apart, the water from the cucumbers over-soaked the little bag the sandwich was in and it dripped all over my pants. Epic fail. Vaccino Coffee - Omg sooooo sweet. Too sweet. Overpowered with the hazelnut essence. Won't be ordering this one again. I will try it one more time and order something different and hopefully it will be a better experience. I don't know where to begin, but Muffin Can Stop Us is probably one of the best and most flavorful breakfast spots in LA! I know that's a bold statement, but the chef really knows what he's doing. Every muffin is uniquely curated and all the flavors intertwine so well with each other. Not your average muffin, let me say that. You can't go wrong with any of the muffins; it just depends on what you're in the mood for. If you're nursing a hangover, get the Americano and add hash browns. If you want something light and fresh, go with the Mother Muffin Salmon or Za'atar & Friends. Parking is limited as they share the lot with other businesses, but there is plenty of street parking available. This place is an order, pay, sit down or to go type of business. They play day club deep house music so the vibes are great. Staff was friendly and service was great. Muffin Can Stop Us is one of my go to spots and I would highly recommend making a trip! read more

ADORE THIS PLACE!! Such a good concept and there food isn't the only good thing here. We love a place with good word play :P . I came across this place by a good friend of mine who insures them (Naira Panosian Agency- Check her out!!) The way they have everything set up is great. There is a window where you order your food and another for pick up. They have outside seating only which is covered so you dont have to worry about the sun. Everything is always clean. Food was 10/10. I ordered the Americano +avocado, it was the perfect breakfast muffin!! My bf got the No Mames which was also great. (10/10) I dont drink coffee, but my bf got the Horchata coffee and fell in love. I had to try and ill admit from someone who doesn't like coffee IT WAS PERFECT. I ordered the rose strawberry lemonade which is no. surprise a 10/10. Staff is super friendly!! I will be making this place a staple for weekend breakfast. Thank you Muffia Gang :D read more
