Decided to stop into Muffin Can Stop Us for a little breakfast at lunchtime. As others have noted, the parking lot is a touch tricky, with most of the spots reserved for other businesses; so you have to juggle between what's left in the lot and what's available on the street. Not a big deal at this time of day, but could be difficult at high-volume times. The place itself is a fun and funky spot, with a bold yellow decor evoking egg yolk "distressed" by artsy graffiti, and homey, antique shop-looking tables and couches (though tables outside are of a more uniform, weather resistant type). Despite the homey touches in the design, the menu itself could be described as marginally elevated fast food devoid of any home-cooked touches. A selection of egg sandwiches served on English muffins, some actual muffins of the blueberry type, and some blended drinks and coffees, etc. Nothing all that inventive or interesting, and certainly not reaching the creativity or execution of EggSlut. I opted for the traditional American Sandwich with bacon, egg and cheddar, but without aioli, as I'm not keen to put mayo on my egg sandwiches. I also ordered a side of hash browns and a Diet Coke. Once delivered, the sandwich in reality was even less exciting than its description. Rather than the sunny side up egg prominently displayed in all the photos, the sandwich was delivered with an egg over hard, ergo there was no yolk to add creaminess or flavor to the sandwich. Bacon and cheese were standard issue with no specific taste to distinguish them from what any teen might make at home. The jumbo-sized Thomas' English Muffin is appreciated, but was served under-cooked and doughy. Likewise, the hash brown patty was of the generic commercial type, and came lukewarm without much crisp. Given how dry and bland it all was, I decided to try a dab of the mayo-looking sauce that was included in an unmarked plastic packet -- indeed, it was a slightly spicy, very artificial-tasting commercial mayo that actually made the bite worse. So, while the concept is a fun one, the look of the place amusing, and the staff quite friendly, the bland, haphazardly prepared food really is a disappointment, and I see no reason to return.
A lazy Sunday morning adrift in the sea of hunger and once again my nose leads me to another contender of a great breakfast on a beautiful day. I opted to have a refreshing peach infused ice tea that was a pleasant passenger to the Sausage Redemption I ordered which came in a handy paper holder that kept my hands clean! Flavor profile wise, the aioli brightened up the flavors of the sausage and the egg, and made me audibly MMMM in joy. I can't under praise the hashbrowns, as they were the right amount of salty and weren't heavy and super oily. The staff had the brightest smiles on their faces and genuinely seemed to enjoy have conversations with their customers as we ate our food. Something about humans connecting always makes my food taste better, that's for sure. We didn't break the bank either, since I definitely got my money's worth. I have a whole menu on my try list now! I was looking forward to some waffles and an egg sandwich this morning. My friend and I ordered Muffin Can Stop Us via postmates this morning and were utterly shocked at the waffles that came in. The waffles had 2 black and furry looking mold on them. I'm at a loss of words to be honest because I was expecting better and was given good reviews about this spot. I can't speak on the service and ambiance since wasn't physically at their location but I hope they work in their quality control. On a brighter note, the egg was fresh and tasty.
Decent muffin shop, the muffin sandwich was made fast and employees are friendly. Sausage redemption 3/5. Solid sausage muffin that has cheese and sausage. For the price of $9 it is a bit steep. McDonald's is definitely better for price and taste.
I saw that Muffin Can Stop Me's rating went down a little, and I honestly wanted to leave a review because this place deserves some love. This has been one of my favorite breakfast spots in LA for a long time. I've ordered from here so many times, especially on those days when I need something quick, delicious, filling, and reasonably priced. And they have never disappointed me. The quality has always been good, my orders always arrive fresh, and everything tastes exactly the way I expect and in time! This is the reason I keep coming back. And I have to give a special shoutout to their hash browns: honestly, one of my favorite hash browns in LA. Perfectly crispy, not greasy, and always cooked just right. This is definitely one of my go-to breakfast places, and I'll happily keep supporting them.
Just stopped by for breakfast, usually people in the morning are not very friendly or full of personality. But I was so impressed to find a gentleman names Gil at the counter who was so helpful so sweet and such good positive energy. Not only is there food and coffee great but Gil literally was the cherry on top. I highly recommend this place.
I like the service at this place a lot. And the food, naturally. But for some reason they keep it weirdly warm inside. Like it was a p warm day when I was in there last and it was still hotter inside than out. Sometimes owners skip on ac in a misguided attempt to save money, which is a bad call for workers, guests, and general vibes. Plus it seems like there's no management. Staff was working hard, but no one doing expo work or just overseeing the whole flow of operations. Nixing management positions is another weird thing owners do to save on operation costs. Hoping they're doing ok. Would be a shame to lose a favorite local breakfast spot. Staff definitely deserves better.
A good spot for a grab-and-go breakfast as it is reasonably priced, with quick service and made to order items. However, there are no restrooms at this location which makes it inconvenient if you like to wash your hands before eating. The indoor space has loud music and a bold yellow and black color scheme. Outdoor seating includes benches and bar style tables with umbrellas. While muffins are the namesake here, they're not the only option. The menu also includes waffles, parfaits, oatmeal and hash browns. An interesting variety of coffee, tea and lemonade complements the breakfast offerings. That said, the Americanos we ordered were disappointing: cold, weak and ultimately tossed after one sip. We tried the bacon and sausage muffins, and both were delicious. They reminded us of a more upscale version of a McDonald's breakfast sandwich but slightly larger and better quality. I'm torn if I would go back only because my morning coffee is just as important as the meal.
First timers. For starters the manager is such a catch. Great energy, and very welcoming. The sandwiches were sooo good as expected , they are just like the pictures. I love and gold muffin sandwich. So good we forgot to include them in the photos. And just for it being our first time Gale , the manager , gave us 2 free samplers of the fruit bowls... mmm mm mm , what a delicious way to end our experience, 10/10. We will be back. We also got to sit outside and enjoy our food during this good summer weather as enjoy the esthetic, not to mention the air conditioning really works inside we did want to switch spots.
Super friendly & quick service Also the inside is super cool & trendy. They also have space to sit outdoors which is super cute too. I got their Redemption sandwich w/ chicken sausage & it was 10/10. I took off the top bun & used a hash brown instead & it was delicious. My fiance got the bacon cheddar sandwich & added avocado & that was good too Definitely recommend if you're craving a good breakfast sandwich !

cute place but disappointing food. Everything was gummy. I ordered a muffin egg cheese, bacon sandwich. The muffin was gummy. The egg was overcooked and super rubbery. There was one slice of bacon and the cheese had melted out into the bottom of the box that the sandwich came in. They have lots of different muffin sandwiches. next time, I would definitely ask for the muffin to be toasted. The people were very nice. I asked if they refill coffee and they said no, but the gentleman behind the counter offered to give me more coffee. I passed -- the coffee was not good. They have inside and outside seating. Parking can be a big challenge!!!

If you're looking for a breakfast spot in the valley, I cannot recommend this place more. My friend who lives in the area took me to this spot, insisting it was amazing, so I gave it a try--and boy, was she right! I don't know how I didn't discover this place earlier. The decor and aesthetic are trendy and unique, yet still keep a casual vibe. There were so many tempting breakfast sandwiches, and I went with the Sausage Redemption, plus a hash brown on the side. It was so delicious I almost ordered a second! For coffee, I tried the Cubano--unbelievably priced at just $4.45. I haven't found coffee that affordable in ages! The Cubano was great, and I got to taste my friend's Vaccino Coffee, which was amazing--I'll definitely be ordering that next time. There is indoor and outdoor seating. Also, shoutout to David for being so helpful with our order and making our dining experience even better! read more

Adding this place to the breakfast roster. Service can be improved but the food and drinks are A+. The good: I came to try the raspberry mocha, a face flavor combo of mine. I got both a hot and iced- both were great but the iced slightly edged out the other. The pricing is FANTASTIC at $3.75 and they upcharge .45 for oat milk (Starbucks charges almost double). I'll definitely come back just for coffee because they certainly make it worth it with value and flavor. I got the Americano muffin for food and was super happy with it. A major plus is that they don't upcharge you to make your sandwich with egg whites only. I'm not a yolk kinda gal so I really appreciated that. Pricing for the sandwich was also very reasonable ! The not so good: parking is not ideal. Most the spots are reserved for the pizza place so I had to double park to pick up my order. I did mobile order and was given a pick up time of 10:40. I showed up at 10:30 but my food was already bagged and waiting for me. I hate when restaurants overestimate pick up times because my sandwiches were already cold even having shown up 10 min early. I wasn't able to grab and go since I had to wait an additional 10-15 for the drinks. Was odd to me that it took longer for the drinks to be made than the food. Overall the place is worth going back to. I think they're pretty new so hopefully they will get better about time efficiency issues. I got the Soojoo Muffin sandwich and I ordered on Doordash. Great fix during work!!! I loved the chipotle aioli (?) sauce that it came with and the dill sauce inside was amazingly fragrant. I don't think I'll be getting the orange juice again because it was pretty pricey but it's a great little breakfast and the to go bag was put together very nicely. read more
We were hungry for a light/quick breakfast and Muffin Can Stop Us immediately popped into mind. I'm always driving past them on Ventura blvd! Parking lot can be a little tricky, but there is metered parking along Ventura. We ordered two of the sausage sandwiches and the hubs got a coffee. They do have a big menu of interesting coffee drinks as well as some sweet breakfast items (muffins, overnight oats, acai parfait) but the english muffin sandwiches are their "thing". I really enjoyed the chicken sausage on the sandwich, but it's cool they have an impossible option as well. Honestly it didn't blow my mind and I didn't find it to be entirely unique, but we enjoyed the sandwiches nonetheless. The patio is nice to eat on, but there isn't too much shade unless you are at the high top bar. I wouldn't recommend coming here for a full on breakfast, as the sandwiches are on the small side and they don't offer any sides besides hashbrowns. muffin can stop us - studio city location is a great spot for breakfasts egg sandwiches. it is such a cute little yellow cafe with an outdoor seating patio. parking is right in front of the cafe which is nice and convenient. my favorite breakfast sandwich is their popular americano muffin. it comes with crispy bacon, cheddar cheese, eggs, and yummy aioli sauce. i also like to add avocado as well. (it's extra charge but that's okay for me) i also ask for their hot sauce packet as well. just to give the egg sandwich a little spice. i do also enjoy their iced coffees. my favorite is the carma coffee. it's basically a caramel iced coffee with double shot of espresso, caramel foam, milk and caramel drizzle. overall, it is a very enjoyable place to have breakfast and coffee at! - side note : ONLY card payments are accepted. (the reason why i gave 4 stars. it's an inconvenience.) read more

I would return to Muffin Can Stop Us if I'm in the area. Ordered Dream Come True for breakfast. The combination of the muffin, ingredients and Cali Dream Sauce was just right. Tried this place for the first time and got the Mother Muffin Salmon and the Classic Americano along with the Horchata Latte. The Mother Muffin Salmon was good. Forsure worth the price. It tasted fancy, like a lox bagel cause the cream cheese and chives. The Classic Americano was good too. But nothing out of the ordinary. It was your basic English Muffin sandwich. The horchata latte was good too :) The staff was really nice. There was a suspicious lady hanging around the eating area and a gentleman that worked there politely asked her to leave the premises which all the customers appreciated. It was a nice spot over all. If you're looking for a quick bite for breakfast this is probably the spot. There's plenty of parking, on the street and in the parking lot. Also there's only seating outside. :) read more

The Americano is my favorite sandwich here, it's a simple breakfast sandwich however always fresh and delicious here at Muffin Can Stop us. They should really sell packages of their English muffins they use. I would definitely buy a pack. Parking spots are small and when crowded it can be difficult to park. read more
Parking - They have a small parking lot. Enough to fit at least 10 cars or less if I remember correctly. If you cannot find parking in the lot I suggest you park on the street. However, if you park on the street just be careful when you open your car doors. Saw someone take a ding to their car because they were not looking. Seating - At this place they only have outdoor seating so remember to put on your sunscreen for the day. It's also pet freindly so bring your furry friend to come get a sammie with you. Sammies ordered: Mother Muffin Salmon - This sammie comes with two slices of beautifully toasted bread, tomatoes, cucumbers, capers, smoked salmon and their tasty white sauce. I really loved this one a lot. I've honestly have had a couple of smoked salmon sandwiches that are so salty but this one was just really lovely. Every bite had a nice and refreshing taste. Nothing else to say but if you love salmon this one is for you. Americano Muffin - This sammie comes with two slices of beautifully toasted bread, bacon, chedder chesse and an egg. This one was a good one too but it was a little more on the heavier side for me because it was too greasy. It was really good but not exactly my taste. Overall - This is a cute little place to grab brekkie. They are a bit pricey but definely worth to get to treat yo self every now and again. I would give this place 4 out of 5 muffins. I only knocked off one muffin because the sammies aren't enough to fill you up but the taste and expereince is there. Tips - As of when this post is up (June, 2022) they have a $15 for $20 deal on their yelp page for this location. Try to grab it while you can and save that coin. read more

Lovely discovery! Gotta say the yellow and white signage definitely catches your eye from the road. Their muffins overall are great, soft and chewy! Fresh ingredients- all the eggs cooked very well. I've been patiently awaiting this places grand opening and boy was it worth the wait! We needed some more breakfast places in the valley! I ordered the lox sandwich and it was delicious! It had cucumbers, lox, I believe aoli of some sort, and capers. It's a perfect breakfast sandwich for the lox lovers! And my friend got the bacon egg sandwich which she LOVED. They have the perfect amount of options for everyone and it's very reasonably priced. I can't wait to go back and try some more of their sandwiches and coffee! 10/10 place for me! 5/5! This place can do no wrong. I love the location in Glendale, so when I heard they were opening this location, your girl was happy! Even though it's a far drive from my place, I made that 45 min drive because I wanted to show off to a friend who was in town. It was also my fiancé bday, and the manager (or owner), was sooo friggen nice. He gave us a complimentary sandwich, and an actual muffin. I'm not too sure if the guy who helped us was the owner but he had owner vibes. He keeps talking about the owner and whatnot, but I'm starting to think he's talking about himself in 3rd person. AHAHAH! Such a cool guy. I've always been obsessed with all of their muffins and coffees, so I didn't expect any less. I don't think they can ever disappoint. I've had 4 things off their menu before, and I don't know which one is my favorite. I'm going to wait until I'm starving one day, come back and try all four the same day.. and then I'll decide. So good! Lots to choose from and the english muffins are bigger than the standard size so the price is more justified. The sauce they put on the side for you is so good too. The drinks are fine but I would personally grab a sandwich from here and a coffee from Belle's on the other side of the parking lot lol read more
This place is a gem!! I absolutely love the vibes here. Their outdoor seating looks like a Pollock painting. They are very "hip" with their unique menu featuring strawberry rose lemonade, muffin sandwiches, and coffee. This family-owned business is a very cool place to grab a quick bite. I found this place off of Off the Menu and got the El Jefe sandwich. It was so delicious! The cashier told me that they have another location in Glendale and that the owner used to be Mariah Carey's private chef at one point. Parking is tricky but we were able to find metered parking. They only share a few parking spots with the other business around. read more

When I tell you this was the best muffin I've ever had. I was straight silent as I was taking each bite. I truly didn't want it to end lol. I got the americano and as simple as it was to make, it was just something about it that hit the spot. It also comes with this tasty chipotle sauce that was delicious!!! If you're looking for a quick breakfast this is the spot to try. I did take out but the guy who took my order was very nice and it took about 15 minutes for me to get my food. read more

We decided to stop by here for a late breakfast on our way back home, and we discovered a little gem! We ordered four sandwiches, four hash browns and three drinks and while it did add up quickly, ultimately it was worth it; the food is filling and full of taste. The hash browns have some sort of seasoning on them that just kicks it up a notch (delicious!) and they give some sort of sauce, I would almost consider it an aioli, that is creamy and dreamy! Parking is in short supply, confusing and nerve wracking, so be prepared for that. Also, it is outdoor seating only, you order and pickup from a window but they have tables and a lifted wood bar with stools. It is a small little breakfast muffin shop that delivers big taste! read more

Very good English muffin sandwiches! At first I was worried that I was gonna get the little typical sized muffin, but these were a lot bigger and tasted so much better than the store bought ones. Tried this out when I was in the valley recently. Very friendly staff, knowledgeable of menu. Muffin sando was bomb, coffee could be a little stronger and creamier. I could be wrong, but I think they use cold brew. I was expecting something a little more viscous but my drink was a little watered down for my liking. But all in all would most def go back again and try another drink for sure for a second chance read more
