Last night I ordered dinner from DoorDash. There was a slight mix up in the order when it was delivered, but the owner was extremely accommodating and hand delivered the new food to me personally. He was so personable and runs a great business, and most importantly the food was amazing. Needless to say I might not use DoorDash again, but I look forward to visiting the restaurant in person, and will definitely order delivery directly from them next time! The food is fresh and made to order. They will customize dishes to make them Vegan, for example, and they seem to really love to please you with their wonderful dishes. There are little details that make this a special place to dine: They use tin figures from India as par of the food presentation, make use of cool little boxes to serve the food and deliver the check. Everyone enjoyed their main course and the drinks are exotic which complements the food well. So happy to have visited Mumbai Dreams! Truly was a "dream come true" to find an authentic Indian restaurant like this in Nyack! The environment seemed perfect for a night out with friends or a family dinner. The food was like no other and the staff was very welcoming. They made sure to address what level of spice we wanted for the meal and answered our questions thoroughly. The owner assured us that all the dishes are halal as well which is even harder to find! Great Pakistani/Indian food! We did the lunch buffet that is only $13.99 on the weekends 11:30-2:30pm. It has so many options like CTM, rice, chicken, veggie and dessert! They had the best garlic naan that we ordered on the side. The staff is so friendly and checked up on us like four times to see if everything was ok. They were very prompt and the place has good lighting and great seating. Very clean and a great bathroom! Very clean which is hard to come by sometimes with indian desi people so this was a breath of fresh air!! Food was great and we definitely over stuffed! We even ordered food to go! Great place highly recommend and would come again! PS I'm Pakistani and the food was very flavorful but spiced like American style so not super hot/spicy but still really yummy food!! read more

I would like to start with, the food is absolutely delicious, My husband and I have been to Mumbai Dreams on 3 different occasions, all three times our food has taken about 2 and one time 2.5 hrs to get to our table. We ordered drinks several times and it seem the waiter forgot over and over again and would glance over to the table and remember, but still no drinks until we stood up from the table to leave. Tables that just arrived received food in under 10mins or even appetizers and tables that were sat before us including ourselves started getting impatient none of our appetizers or even Naan came out.. glancing over to the surrounding tables they all looked very impatient, or bored. The restaurant seems to be short staffed which is completely understandable, however I suggest if the kitchen is backed up, try getting appetizers or even just bread and drinks especially drinks to the table the waiter seems to be the bartender and to be honest he was doing most of the running around if you're promoting specialty cocktails you should have a designated bartender so costumers aren't sitting around. On all three occasions we've visited Mumbai dream my husband and I were comp'd on drinks or appetizers because of the wait and We would never get our comp'd item because of the delay and or the manager forgot again, Again the food is delicious we wish this restaurant the best of luck, And hope to return with hopes that the service gets better. read more

We went because of the great review/photos on instagram but was disappointed by service! Our order was taken by the owner who was rude from the start by tone, my wife placed the orders she's not big on food so she's usually good with having appetizers as meals and ordered a few appetizers the owner interrupted her mid order to let her know this was all appetizers and can't bring out appetizers and entries all together because the food is cooked "fresh" we said that's fine so our appetizers and my wife's choice of meal, the taco that was the appetizer came out then my order the LAMB biryani was suppose to be next but they gave me chicken, once the owner came to see what was the problem he claimed my wife said chicken biryani which she did not because when placing the biryani order we both said ok lamb biryani can come out after the so called appetizers that wasn't anything special. The lamb tacos felt like they were filled with oil, the Mac and cheese was decent, the pani puri had a gross smell for the liquid and didn't taste good. The owner also took it upon himself to charge me a tip when I said I'll take the biryani to go since my children were getting sleepy (non related we had a long trip before this restaurant). Will never go back and won't recommend, the decor was nice so if you want overpriced food with and Indian vibe this your place to be! read more

We've been driving by this place for almost a year and finally went today-figured it's phase 2 and we can actually sit down outside and enjoy our meal. We ordered a mixed tandoori grill, lamb korma, and a chana saag. Let me just say there was absolutely nothing to wrap up. We ate every bite. The mixed grill was so fresh and tender! I had the saag made with coconut milk and it was divine. My husband ate the korma-both dishes were excellent. At the end of our dining experience, the owner came out to personally introduce himself and talk to us. This is a family owned business and everything we ate reflected the care and love they put into their recipes. This place is a gem for sure! read more

Their chicken biryani is really good, and does not give you a food comma like feeling after. One of the best I've had for around here. We were working in a project in Montvale NJ and decided to order in Indian food for dinner when we can upon this place. It was for a large group, so we took a ride to pick it up. The place was brand new and really beautiful. The owner, a very personable and funny guy from Brooklyn, chatted with us for a while while our order was completed. We were a group of about 14 people, ordered tons of food, and not one person had a complaint. Everything was delicious and well prepared. Good ambiance, very reasonable price. Nice cutlery and food is brought out nicely. Many vegetarian friendly options. We went on a busy night and they seemed short on staff, because of that the service was very slow. The main person who seemed like a chef still tried to look after us and asked us multiple times if we are doing ok. Food was not extraordinary nor it was bad. Yelp check in said one free dessert but they were only willing to give gulab jamun which seemed slightly misleading. Overall they need to add some staff for the busy days to improve the speed of service. Most probably I will return for one more time to try few more things. read more

This is a great addition to Nyack, being the big Indian food family that we are, we have tried all of the places in Westchester and rockland over the years. They are off to a great start flavorful, decent sized portions, the owner was checking in on the tables, so follow up service is good. Being that it is a new place, my only complaint was the waiter was not very personable and was not able to recommend any dishes. Hopefully this was just a personality thing. This place is phenomenal. The nihari burger is one of THE best burgers I've ever had. It's so juicy and flavorful. The butter chicken Mac and cheese is great too. The service is amazing. I moved to Nyack a little over a year ago and never made it to Mumbai Dreams until last night. I am so sorry I didn't discover it before, but now that I have we will most definitely be back. I visited with my son and two friends. We started with both the chicken tikka and the potato samosas and shared four entrees. Each was superbly made and even with our request for mild spice the flavors were fantastic. The service was friendly and attentive and the little creative details like our appetizers served in a mini cycle rickshaw and our check served in a replica iron made the experience feel special. The cocktail list was extensive and inventive as was the menu- definitely some dishes that put a fresh spin on northern Indian cuisine. It was my friend's birthday and we had the mango mousse dessert- a great ending to the meal. Super experience all around. read more

We just came back from having a lovely experience at Mumbai Dreams. Not only was the food delicious but the service was top notch. Our server, Arivand (sp?), helped make it even more enjoyable. He recommended several dishes that are the restaurant's specialities so we let him order for us.
