Musashi's is a small new sushi place. In my opinion the rolls are too big and not traditional enough but this was okay the turning point for me were the salmon sushi, they felt not really that fresh, they were too big with lots of rice making it hard to eat. The lack of plates on the table makes it really messy and annoying to eat. I would give just a couple points to improve: -Adding plates on the table -thinner and smaller sushi cuts -smaller rolls cured with more professionalism -keeping the sushi more fresh, it was warm which gives you the thought of not fresh even if it is! read more

I had been ordering from this place on delivery service a couple times for the past couple of months and it has become my usual for sushi at home and it is a bargain for the quality and quantity of sushi I have received. We came in tonight for some snack. We were the only ones there, but the waiter was kind enough to get us situated. He got us a high chair and told us to sit wherever we'd like. We looked over the menu quickly on the table and went up to the counter to get 2 rolls: Musashi roll and salmon cheese roll. The rolls were really good. The Musashi roll had crab salad and cheese inside and topped with spicy tuna, spicy mayo, masago, and green onions. The salmon cheese rolls had cheese, cucumber, and cooked salmon inside. The rolls were reminiscent of gimbab (Korean rice rolls, instead of Japanese sushi). It was still delicious, and the presentation was so pretty! The price and portion was great, it was definitely a great late night snack! You can grab your own water or hot barley tea on the counter as well. We were really happy with Musashi's! We haven't had much luck finding local sushi places so we were nervous this would be like the rest but we really enjoyed our meal! This is a casual, no frills place but the fish was fresh and the rolls were classic, not drowning in sauces. We had the sushi dinner and shared a bunch of rolls. One note is their California roll is their own take (has egg) - I thought it was fine but it wasn't the taste for my husband and kid. We also did takeout for my other kid and he loved the sukiyaki, and the staff was so friendly they subbed out their noodle salad for a seaweed salad without hesitation when I told them about my son's food allergies. You walk in and (with the utmost respect) you dont expect you're about to have a really amazing food experience. Humble setting served with humble pride. Seems like a Japanese husband and wife duo and orders came out timely. Well priced for what you get and portions are more than plenty. I had the Nigiri Sushi Dinner with an Unagi Bowl, my wife got a couple salmon rolls and we loved all of it. Not a lot of tables so definitely reccomend reservations. Tea is self-serve and delicious. This place is affordable but maybe the price reflects the quality. I really really wanted to like this place and rate highly. I understand why some people have it highly reviewed but it is not what I look for in sushi. The salmon is cut too thick and there is too much rice. When it is cut thick it is too chewy. The nori for the California role is on the outside and makes it not as easy to eat, I wished that the rolls would have been smaller or it would have been like the traditional rolls with rice on the outside. Also the fish was not cold enough. The ambience is okay, there was pop music playing in the tv and the place is clean/minimalistic. You order at the front then pick a table so there's not much service involved. He seems nice and asked if we liked our food but that was it. Personally would not recommend it or go back but I guess it's good for someone who wants something affordable and quick. Buy my husband and I both agreed for the price we would have preferred chick-fil-a . We took it to go to see if anyone else would want to eat our leftovers. read more
