I booked a deluxe pedicure for 10am and was sat about 2 minutes after getting in - great! Once on the pedicure chair, I ended up sitting there for 40 minutes before being seen. Yes, 40 minutes after my appointment was supposed to begin. No updates, no options to choose my colors, just stuck in the corner. I have quite a bit of patience because I'd like to think I set realistic expectations for the environment I'm in. I expect to wait maybe 10 minutes after an appointment has been made, especially at a nail salon but this was egregious. If you're understaffed, please just say that. Or tell me it's going to be a little longer, I promise it won't bother me. What does bother me is my time being wasted and there being no communication. I could have ran other errands or made a different decision on what I wanted to do with my time. I understand we're all doing our best and I respect all of those in the service industry, I suppose I wish the same respect was returned. Either way, I won't be returning. I was greeted at the door and told to select my color for my pedicure. My pedicurist, Lily, was very accommodating and nice and she offered me a beverage. During my pedicure, an employee approached her and I was somewhat suspicious of their exchange (they were speaking in their language). Next thing I know, the woman has basically told my pedicurist it's to stop my service & go service someone else. I guess they thought I would be okay with this, but I told her, " no, let her finish." The interrupting woman obliged. This is the second time in Nashville that I have experienced this interruption of service/employee running off to work on another customer at the nail salon. This practice needs to stop. Is this commonplace? Because it's rude as hell. I'm being serviced, let whomever came after me wait--period. Or get someone to do it! I did not have high hopes for my first time here, but the woman did a great job with the pedicure. I am happy with the end result. I rate Music City Nails 3/5 because they do not use fresh mail files and buffers, which is necessary and sanitary. If I return, I will for sure request Lily. Visited Music city nail salon to get medicure and pedicure for a wedding and had a delightful experience. Shop was quite busy but lucky I only had to wait for a few minutes. Immaculate and very clean interior, pleasant and very friendly staff, made me feel very welcomed, modern machines and relaxing vibes. My nail technician was very articulate, fixed my broken nails, painted meticulously, and gave my nails a fresh gorgeous looks. Highly recommend this shop and will definitely return. read more

Today was my third try at this shop and I think I finally give up. I'm a sucker for establishments that are close to my home but what I won't do is let proximity outrank service. On the first visit I came to get a pedicure. It was reasonably priced and well done, however the techs talked one notch under a yell the entire time. I thought I got lucky when I realized I still had my earphones in my purse, but I could still hear them clearly when I put them in. The second visit was for an eyebrow wax. The tech wasn't able to grip my hairs and I left with a red forehead. They did not charge me for trying thankfully. Fast forward to me thinking that "the third time is the charm." Not at all. I absolutely hate my nails. I asked for an almond shape and got Peanut M&Ms instead. The more I stare, the more I can tell they are individually shaped like snowflakes. I noticed one of my nails looked like it was bubbling up and the tech refused to fix it because she said it looked fine. 1 star for 7% cash back through Yelp. read more

I desperately needed a pedicure and am new to the area so I gave this place a go since the salon is very close to my apartment. I got a shellac pedicure and the woman doing my nails did not seem to know what she was doing. She asked me if I need another coat on my nails after doing one coat... As if I am the one 2 feet from my toes to be able to see whether or not it looks done, I am not the nail professional. I ended up paying $60 before tip for a very mediocre pedicure. Christina did an AMAZING job and made up for the mess that was done prior. I am so happy with the way this was handled, and the way my nails look now!! Literally just had the worst nail experience of my whole life. I walked into this shop, and was rudely greeted by a guy laying on the couch, that glanced up from his phone for just long enough to tell me to sign in on the iPad. I do. I was given no further instructions, so I went to go pick out my colors. I get those picked out, and the lady (who would end up doing my nails) just stares at me until I assume I should follow her. I do. When we sit down, she is SO rude, rushing me to tell her the color I chose, doesn't even smile when I ask her how her day is. She then is horribly rough on my nails, literally bending them with the drill and file. She cut me multiple times (shown in pictures), left my nails rough and bumpy (shown in pictures) had polish on my skin (also shown in pictures). I should add that I have been to this salon before and had a great experience with other techs doing my nails. Today I was the only person in the salon, and still was left with tacky nails from gel, from being rushed out from under the light. I still paid AND TIPPED, which was a huge mistake. After the way I was treated by the man when I walked in, and the nail tech, I was too scared to mention that I was unhappy. They treated me horribly from the second that I walked in. I can not imagine their reaction if I were to mention any issues. I will also add a picture of what I wanted, which was very simple. I should also add that my nail tech was staring at her phone for half my service, texting, WHILE FILING AND DRILLING MY NAILS. I truly wish I could give this experience negative stars. I tried to call the salon to resolve the issue with a manger or owner, but you can only leave a voicemail. How can a business not have an option to talk to a live person? I'm not even sure where to begin. This was my first time at this salon and it was a waste of my time and money. They did not have enough techs and my daughter and I sat waiting in the chair for a pedicure for over 30 minutes. By the time they got to us the water was cold. One lady dried her feet and left. Another one came in with her friend and was done before her friend even started, so she sat there alone. Everyone else that was getting their pedicures were offered a beverage, but my daughter and I were not. The lady that worked on my daughter did a pretty decent job. She seemed to take her time and her paint job was good. The guy who worked on my feet, not so much. He was so distracted and in a hurry. He clipped my nails and barely filed them, so they are uneven and jagged. I watched him as he cut the cuticles and all he did was poke at them to make it seem like he was cutting them. For the foot massage and moisturizing treatment, he slapped some lotion on, rubbed it in and that was it. When it came to the hot towel treatment, I didn't get that. My daughter had her legs wrapped in the hot towels while the lady worked on her toes. All I got was the hot towel to wipe the lotion off. That was it. Now, if that was all and I walked out with an amazing polish job, I would of been fine. Not the case. I have smudges from the polish brush. I have spots with no polish. I even have places where there is uneven amount of polish. It's a hot mess and am annoyed that I dropped $30 on this. read more

I got a pedicure here and they cut my toes up. MULTIPLE times they broke skin. it is cheap though so I guess you get what you pay for.

For the obnoxious price of $70 (not including tip) you can have your feet butchered. I do NOT recommend this salon whatsoever. For whatever reason, this woman cut the corner of my toenails off (in like a weird triangle shape) and ripped along the sides, almost like pulling an ingrown nail - which I've only had a handful of times in my life but almost completely expect once my nails grow out. I bled from multiple toes and now I have painful sections of exposed under-nail. I'm anticipating infection as the redness and pain are getting worse. read more

Don't Waste Your Money I really should have read the reviews before trying this nail salon - my experience was absolutely HORRIBLE! My daughter pointed out when we got to the car that one of her nails had already chipped...so back in we went to have it fixed (which they did). This also gave me a moment to better inspect my own nails - they were horrible! The paint was extremely thick and uneven, and one nail had been filed down to the quick. It was late, and honestly, I didn't have time for my entire set to be removed and redone -I was willing to live with it. However, after both my AND my daughter's freshly painted gel nails (which should last 2-3 weeks) chipped after 24 hours, I called the salon to both complain and request they either refund my money or repaint my nails. I was pleasantly surprised that the owner called me, and after reviewing the pictures of our nails, offered to redo them for free the next weekend. After reluctantly returning to West Nashville - and waiting an HOUR for them to soak off my nails, it was that thick - we left with newly polished gel nails and hoped for a better experience. It is now the Wednesday - 4 days after our new polish - and my daughters nails are chipped up AGAIN. Clearly, they are not using good product. I might have given them 2 stars because the owner was amicable to rectifying the problem, but it really didn't solve the issue. Bottom Line...Don't waste your money! read more

I stopped by Music City Nails while I was out on a rare errand run Sunday evening. I haven't had a manicure in over a year and (now regretfully!) decided to treat myself. I was a walk-in and asked if anyone was available to take me right now as it was a whim and I was short on time and the place was empty. They said "yes, now". I asked how much a gel manicure would be. They told me $40 A gel manicure was something I'd had done before a few times at other salons and it always lasted for weeks! So long so that I had to soak them in acetone to change the polish before the even chipped only because my nails had grown so much. That's a good thing, gel manicures don't usually chip or peel for weeks, they just grow out. Finally after 20 mins of waiting, they got to me. They asked me to pay half way through. They took my credit card and swiped it for $43 instead of $40, (manicures aren't taxed here so it wasn't tax)on a card reader and had clicked a default tip of $10 on top to approve. Communication was so hard at this point, I just signed it, hoping that it would all turn out well and it wasn't even worth the stress of trying to communicate at this point. It was my one little pampering luxury in a year and already not going well, and if I said anything, I would have made it even more stressful. Now I'm already $5 over what I was thinking. $40 + 20% tip. $48. Again, this is a huge splurge these days. But it'll last me a few weeks. The salon experience already sucks but why make it even worse for $5. Right? i left the salon thinking they looked pretty good, finished my errands, and went home. I spent all day Monday at home doing paperwork and phone calls. No housework other than the bare minimum. No yard work. I hadn't even taken a shower by the time they started just bubbling up and peeling. Not that daily tasks should matter at all! Every gel manicure I've ever had has lasted 3 weeks plus. I reached out to them right away, but they don't answer as a policy from what the voicemail says. WTH? They only take voicemails. I left a voicemail telling them what was happening to my nails and asked if they could fix it. NOTHING. NO CALL BACK. After making me wait 20 mins when they said they could take me "now", then jacked up price, the unbelievably HORRIBLE job, and the lack of even answering their business phone and no follow up, I'm disgusted. I don't know how they are even still in business. Hopefully with all my documentation, photos, and recording of the phone message, I can contest the charge on Amex. Decided to treat myself last Sunday after not having my nails done in several years. I spent a lot of time deciding where to go and ultimately ended up choosing Music City Nails for a gel manicure and pedicure. The pedicure was great! The gel manicure was not the best experience. Multiple nails were bleeding during the manicure. When the lady was finished, the polish didn't come down the nail to the cuticle. The paint wasn't covering the full nail on several nails. It looked sloppy, I could have done a better job myself at home. I paid and even left a 20% tip. I sat in my car for about five minutes before deciding to go back in and say something. Another lady, could have been the manager, immediately acknowledged my concerns and admitted it was not a good job. The lady who had initially done my nails came over and the two of them were arguing back and forth right in front of me (quite awkward). The lady fixed my nails and I was overall happy with the result. I spent close to three hours here and most likely won't return due to many mishaps. read more

I really wanted to like this nail salon. I have been going to the Gulch Nail bar, but recently moved to the nations and wanted to try something on the west end. **At the end of my appointment, while smoothing out the edges, the nail tech DUG into my finger with the file. I yelled "GOOD LORD" and reflexively hit the plexiglass that separated us. I have never been cut during that part of the appointment. I totally understand an accidental cut while trimming the cuticles, but child, this was different. **After this, I brought it to her attention that one of my nails was uneven and it would bother me if we left it as is--asked her to file it down a little--she then proceeded to let me know it was not uneven and it was the shape of my finger. Even if it is my dumb finger, just file it if the customer asks--geez louise. A positive note is that this salon carries OPI, has a great color variety, super clean, excellent decor/design. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE, the lady that did my pedicure did an awful job, I told her that there was mole on my foot and it just healed and to work around it. I told her twice and she still scrapped it and blood was everywhere. and she didn't not do a good on my toes, my toes were terrible, and it was $68 for gel nails and pedicure. She also cut my big toe, DONT GO HERE, THEY OVERCHARGE FOR HALF ASS WORK. I wasn't too mad about her cutting my toe and or my mole, I was mad at the fact she didn't she go a good job in general for my feet and when I confronted her and the desk receptionist they didn't see the problem with my feet. This was my 2nd time here. First, Christina is amazing my dip manicure not only looked great but it lasted, however that's where the good ends. My 2nd visit I didn't have Christina and the service was awful, I was cut (to the point of Bleeding) 3 times and my dip is not clean at the edges. My nails aren't even and they are bumpy. I'm really disappointed that they don't take appointments and they aren't honest about how long the wait is. Lastly, I'm concerned that I saw reuse of manicure tools between customers (especially since cutting to the point of bleeding seems a common trend on the reviews) and they don't use tub liners read more

I was gonna get a refund till the owner told me she wasn't gonna refund me till I CHANGED my review just to make her look good and when I didn't change it when she wanted me she got mad and didn't even refund me. Some of them are not very friendly the only reason they are getting one star from me is because at least the place is clean. This was my first time here, and I was cautiously optimistic because most nail salons get pretty bad reviews on here and I didn't really want to drive an extra 15 minutes to go somewhere with a bit of a higher review. But I genuinely had a 5-star experience! The facility was nice, massage chair was better than most I've had in salons, loved the polish brands they carry (including butter London and one I hadn't seen before, Caption) and my technician Peter was excellent with both my manicure and pedicure. I also appreciated that he wrapped my bails to get the acrylic dip off, while some places just make you dip your whole fingertip in a bowl of acetone. They had a nice customer software thing I haven't seen at other places, too. This will be my go-to place from now on! read more

Pedicure was great. Be warned that the owner will charge you a Sanitization fee even if you bring your own mask and hand sanitizer. You will be charged $3 for 1 pump of hand sanitizer. I've visited music city nails several times & have enjoyed by experience. The staff is friendly & it's very clean & nice inside, but I do not believe I will be returning. Sure if they have changed the polish based they are using or what, but the last two times I have visited my gel nails have no even made it two weeks. This time they have no even survived a full week. I was in the shop on Saturday & both of my pointer fingers have already started chipping. Very frustrating as I got my nails done so they'd be pretty for my birthday & upcoming beach trip & they're already ruined & I don't have time before I leave to get them fixed.
