They ruined my I phone while diagnosing it. I've been going to a guy that's reliable and trustworthy for many years and doesn't charge $120 for parts. I moved out here half a year ago took my phone here because it wouldn't charge. They took it apart as I watched the women somewhat looked like she was struggling. I had a weird feeling just by watching there facial expression. They gave it back to me and said "some part was cut and that it costs $120." I said "hell no I'll get this fixed 40. I drive all the way to where I use to live an hour and a half alway to the guy I always take it to. As soon as he opened it he said "what the hell happened to your phone man, all your component are messed up" he explained to me that it probably happened when they were taking apart my phone and that he knows it wasn't like that the last time he fixed it. He asked how much they tried charging me and I told him 120 and he looked at me with the most confused look in the whole world and that's the look I gave the the people here when they told me that. Honestly I felt off that bat these people aren't that professional and I actually wanted to take my iPhone back when they were taking it apart. The guy I took it to fixed and charged me $40. Including the parts they damaged. He even told me "if I were you I would go down there and ask for a claims form or something" I see people saying to take it here it's cheaper. Nah bruh. They tried telling me $120 when in reality they damaged my phone and it wasn't even worth 120 in damaged it was only 30 plus the shit they ruined. Honestly I would never go to a shop that's set up like this one. Very unprofessional. They wouldn't even talk to me as I was waiting to ask them a question the guy seemed to not care and was more interested in his day to day life conversation on the phone while the lady ruined my phone. Can't speak for everyone's experience tho. read more

Few months ago the screen on my iPhone 4 stopped working all of a sudden, the vibrate function and the sounds still worked so I knew it was strictly screen related. Took it to the AT&T store and they suggested taking it to the kiosk a dozen feet away, said the owner was doing a soft opening that day and to mention that they sent me his way. Told him everything and he said it was a quick fix, to come back in 20-25 minutes for it and it would be $20. Went to wal-mart to grab some money for him and as soon as I came back from that to the kiosk he was finished! Explained the fix to me and told me it was simple and quick. LIFESAVER!! So TODAY the same thing happened to me again with my screen, straight up stopped working. Took it back to him he fixed it in 3 minutes while I stood there waiting, and then, just to add to the awesomeness, he didn't want to charge me anything! I came back with $10 because once again he saved my life! I don't know how to do that shit so I'm happy to treat anyone to lunch at least for that kind of favor of expertise! BEWARE!! Check price ahead of time. Recommended My iFix to my wife for replacement of a cracked iphone 6 plus screen because of a great experience last year with them changing an iphone 5S battery. My IFix swapped out the screen fine, but charged $162!! Even Apple charges only $149. I'm not sure if this company routinely takes advantage of trusting people, but this is not the way to keep customers. Be sure to negotiate the price beforehand. Can't trust this company. read more

I dropped in to their kiosk because my IPad wasn't charging. It is an older model and I didn't know if it was the unit, charger or cord. One of the employees took my IPad and plugged it into their cord/charger, the other man looked at my cord and noticed a small burned part right away. The iPad started charging right away on their cord/charger and they waited a bit to make sure it was charging and my cord was the issue. I expected them to sell me a cord, but they said Apple would exchange mine for free! They didn't charge me, didn't try to sell me anything and were VERY pleasant. I walked away with a big smile on my face! I would happily go there again with any Apple problem, and gladly pay for their help. read more

This is the second time My iFix has saved my phone. The first time I brought in a cracked screen and they replaced the screen in under 20 minutes! Today, I brought in my iPhone 6 that had been crushed by the rollers on a property gate. Not only was the screen cracked but the left hand side screen image was destroyed. I had little hope. This place is the best place to get your phone fixed for cracked screens, water damage, or whatever. Competitively priced too. My 2 year old dropped my iPhone 6 in the toilet. After drying it, taking it to Apple, it was a lost cause. Brought it here, they opened it up and told me my motherboard was fried from trying to charge it. Lesson learned, don't try and charge a phone after it gets soaked. Let them open it up and dry it first. And do not take it to Apple either. So iPhone 6 is gone, I'm left with my iPhone 4s which had a cracked screen. My husband tried fixing it himself but ended up cracking the replacement screen. My phone was in pieces when I brought it to these guys. They fixed my phone for $80. Normally it's $60 for a cracked screen but because it was in pieces, they charged $20 extra to make sure they could find all the pieces. So anytime you need a fix, come here for your phone. And it's right next to Starbucks so you can get a coffee while you wait. My phone is perfectly new! read more

I have an old iPhone 3Gs that I use as an iPod. I have had it for years now so I guess it was about time that I finally experience the cracked iPhone screen that everyone seems to fall victim to. I came here to this little kiosk not expecting too much. I left my phone and went into Starbucks when I came out the screen was done but unfortunately the employee explained that there was a dead spot on the screen meaning if you tried to touch a certain part of the screen it wasn't registering the touch. He explained that it sometimes happens with older phone models and that he could order me a new screen, the screen would arrive in three days so he said just come back in three days and I'll fix it for you that. He didn't charge me anything not even half the amount or deposit. I was really surprised but glad at how nice he was and at the customer service. I got really busy at work so I wasn't able to go back until full week later. When I came back he immediately recognized me and said I was wondering if you were going to come back. He grabbed my phone for me and started fixing it. I went next door to grab some food and when I was back my phone was completed. I was going to pay with my credit card and he said that it would be $35 if I paid cash or if I paid with my card he would have to charge tax so it was going to be $37.80. Luckily I had just gone to the bank so cash please! 35 dollars later the screen is new, it registers touch perfectly, and all is back to normal in my world. Like a fool I dropped something very heavy on my iPhone 6. I made an appointment with AT&T and figured I would be paying $600+ for a new phone. When I got to the AT&T store in La Costa the salesman looked at my phone and told me it would probably still work, I just needed a new screen. He took me outside and walked me to My iFixit less than 100ft away (even though I didn't know it was there). It was 5:45pm when I walked up, and my screen was replaced in 15 minutes for much, much less than it would cost for a new phone or even an insurance deduction. They were very friendly, reasonable, and fast! My phone is as good as new and I am recommending this place to everyone. Went there for an iPhone that wouldn't charge. They were super friendly and before replacing the charging dock, the guy kept checking to see if there was an easier fix. He could have easily given up and simply replaced it for $50. But he didn't give up because he had a suspicion that something was blocking the contact. He must have messed with it for at least 10 minutes and finally cleared the obstruction, which by the way, I never saw, even with a magnifying glass. Best of all, he did not charge me for it. I cracked the screen on my iPad 3 and took it to Hugo at Dr Apple in Encinitas for repair. I'm glad I did. I toyed with the idea of ordering a repair kit online and fixing myself, but reconsidered after multiple mixed reviews regarding level of difficulty and quality of replacement screens. Before repairing my iPad, Hugo showed me the glass he would use and I was satisfied that it was a quality replacement, not plastic or cheap glass. I casually mentioned that my Home button had been acting up and he fixed that, no charge. Total repair time was just under an hour. Even if it looks like it's closed, if it's business hours, he'll be around (and worth the wait if you have to! But I wasn't kept waiting at all). At 1pm on a Thursday, a screen replacement (fully shattered and missing pieces, 4S) and a top button fix only took a half hour! Even if there were other people ahead of me in the queue, this guy works quickly and made it seem like I was the only one who dropped off a phone that day.
