It's crazy that this place gets any stars. Their customer service is literally the worst in Massachusetts, and any food that you order takes an unreasonable of time for them to prepare. For both take out and eating in, be prepared for an hour wait. And most of the staff working there are grumpy and visibly/loudly stressed out from all the orders that they clearly don't have the capacity to handle. read more

My favorite breakfast is the egg white veggie omelet with eggplant and a little bit of feta accompanied by potatoes, dry multigrain toast and French roast black coffee. This is a substantial breakfast that can carry me through an early dinner. The soups are excellent and available for lunch and dinner. Chickpea soup and chicken orzo are my favorites. I do take out for soup and spinach pie (another favorite) because seating is limited in the winter. Parking is available which makes it easy to pick up. read more

My wife and I love to explore brunch places near our town. This is the best brunch place i know in Essex county. Food is great and the atmosphere is fantastic especially on rainy days. Easy Five Stars... This is my go to place when my family is out of town. I will go multiple days in a row because of the low cost and high quality. I am always amazed at how fresh the food. I had Greek salad recently and the veggies were crisp and tasty like they had just come from a garden. I really don't know how everything is so fresh. Some other entrées that are good: stuffed peppers, chicken gyro, and the bone-in grilled chicken. The spinach pie is also home made - the chef definitely does not cut any corners. My only complaint would be that the place is small and the menu options are limited. I wish they would add a moussaka and some other greek dishes to the menu. read more

This place has good food for the price and consistently friendly staff. One thing they need work on though, is the amount of time they tell you a take out order will take to be ready. Allow at least 20 minutes longer than they tell you for picking up food. Would be good if they could work on the accuracy of how long it takes to prep an order. read more

We've tried this new restaurant twice now and really enjoyed it for the most part. The first time I got the chicken gyro, which was very tasty. My husband also really enjoyed his steak gyro. The second time I got the lamb burger which, while good, was much smaller than I expected given the price. Hubby got the chicken souvlaki which was less successful--too dry and really should have come with some tzatziki. They don't have any of the rotisseries you see at other Greek restaurants in the area and the menu is smaller and simpler, but it's a great addition to the neighborhood and a lot closer to home than the other places. I'm looking forward to trying out more of the menu in the summer when they'll have outdoor seating set up. Decor in the restaurant is lovely, by the way. A mixture of woods, rustic finishes, and modern touches. They really did a great job on the design. The only seats inside are about a half dozen barstools at the window-front counter. The owner and his son are both very friendly and welcoming. Definitely worth trying. read more

What a beautiful little spot, full of light and the friendly, homey ambience created by the talented chef-owner and his family. We went for weekend brunch, and sampled both the over-the-top Bananas Foster French Toast, and also the filling Griddle assembly of perfectly done potatoes, kielbasa slices, crispy bacon, fluffy, cheesy scrambled eggs and a biscuit, all presented in a small cast-iron frypan. With freshly squeezed juice and great coffee, the only thing more perfect could be weather warm enough to relax and enjoy it all at the umbrella'd tables outside. We look forward to trying the lunch and dinner menu featuring Greek dishes and other selections that make my mouth water just reading about them. When cooking in my own kitchen isn't an option, I'll definitely consider this My Other Kitchen. read more

This place is on point. I wish they had more room to sit down because the people are super nice and the atmosphere is very inviting. The greek salad is perhaps the best I've ever had, from the amazing dressing to the fresh as can be feta. I LOVE their marinated chicken sandwich. The bread they use is so fresh and delicious. The food is very, very good. We have been here 3 or 4 times and it has yet to disappoint. Comfort food but with a healthier and sometimes creative twist. The sandwiches are really yummy - vegeterian and lamb were both really fresh tasting. I also had really delicious stuffed peppers. And we always finish the meal with a perfectly cooked cookie. It is a small place, so don't expect fast food. We've had to patient a few times, but so far it has been worth it. read more

I went here for the first time with a friend and my two children. The service and food I received was top notch. I ordered the chicken souvlaki with a Greek salad and spinach pie. Everything was superb. The chicken was flavorful and moist, and the dressing for the salad was so unique and tasty. Like nothing I've ever had before. Since we ate outside, and it was a very sunny day, my only suggestion would be that they use umbrellas for the tables to make it a bit more comfortable. I've passed this place a few times and thought it looked cute but was hesitant solely on the odd location. I'm sooo glad I decided to stop in today! I ordered a muffin for my little one while we waited for my salad. The woman at the register could not have been nicer and was so sweet to my son, letting him pick out the biggest muffin. The muffin was fantastic. I only got a few small bites in as my son loved it, but it was an apple cinnamon muffin with large chunks of apple and perfectly baked. My real surprise was my Greek salad with souvlaki chicken. It was hands down the best salad Greek salad I have ever had. The chicken was tender, feta was soft and all the veggies were fresh and tasty. Not a huge unnecessary amount of lettuce or drenched/covered in cheese or dressing. We've had a hard time finding good healthy/from Script food being from downtown and recently moving to the burbs, but this place is now on our list!! read more

If you want food served made to order this is the place to go. They cook it right in front of you, nothing is frozen or prepared ahead. The quality is A#one and then some. The taste is just wonderful. The only problem i have is the portions are a tad small. The Peta bread just makes the cut around the sandwich. There is nothing at the ends to hold it together. It should be a larger Peta for sure. I also wish the salad was a bit bigger. The dish goes to a point so it looks bigger then it really is. I miss the big bottle of dressing they use to give years back when it was Andros Diner. The dressing is still fabulous but they give you a little, tiny cup. The service is excellent, friendly and the place is clean. It is a must try and you will always go back....My dream is they some day can enlarge this place and have more parking. People with gluten allergies should not eat here. I have a severe gluten allergy and prior to placing my take out order with the hostess I let her and the sous chef know about my severe gluten allergy. Both of them confirmed, the gyro dinner and salad I was about to order was gluten free. When the dinner was ready for me to take home, I double checked again, reconfirming everything in the bag was gluten free including the dressings. The staff double checked with the chef/owner and let me know the dressing was actually not gluten free. They swapped it out for me and reconfirmed everything should be good to go. As soon as I started to eat the dinner. I knew the entree was not gluten free. I had a severe allergic reaction and a call was made to the restaurant. They confirmed the dinner was in fact not gluten free! The chef/owner was apologetic - which at the point is useless as it was his fault he served a customer food knowing they have a food allergy. For people who have severe gluten allergies or any other food allergies, my recommendation would be to not eat at My Other Kitchen. There are plenty of other greek restaurants in the brighton/brookline area such as Esperia Grill that take the time to acknowledge and are able modify meals for people with allergies. read more

A bit confused about all these five star ratings. I generally reserve five stars for restaurants that serve food that's out of this world as well as supreme customer service. I didn't get either. We visited this restaurant several months ago. Let me say that I usually don't post a review after one visit, but all these 5 star reviews called for some balancing out. Me and my wife had the chicken and two sides. Our order took about 40 minutes which is a little longer than you want to be waiting. My wife never got her second side dish. The person who served us supposedly went back in to get it but never came back! To be fair it's more of a carry out place. The chicken was good but nothing special. I could have whipped it up myself. I would have given this place three stars if not for the missing side and the 40 minute wait. read more

Wow. Quite simply: wow. Some of the best food I've ever had in Boston/Cambridge. Period. Am I jumping the gun by making such a serious statement? I'll let you be the judge: I've lived in Boston for 11 years, worked in the service industry for many of them and dined everywhere from Number 9 Park, to The Tip Tap in Beacon Hill, to the Clover Food Truck at MIT to The Vietnamese sandwich shops in Dorchester to City Feed in JP. I know Belmont isn't a happening place, so even if you don't live here, don't let that dissuade you from getting out of your comfort zone and making the trek out here so you don't miss out on the food. The leg of lamb was the most succulent, tender, well-seasoned lamb I've ever had. The chicken gyro was fresh and seasoned to perfection the Baklava both decadent and delicate. I haven't had a chance to do the brunch yet but have a friend in town next weekend and am already planning my next visit. read more
