Dennis and everyone at Mytee are phenomenal, honest and hardworking people. I was told (at a different repair shop) that I needed a repair on my car that would have cost me almost $1,000 and to my surprise, it wasn't as complex of an issue that we anticipated. The. BEST place for car care. Honest, ethical and fair. The waiting room has been cleared and refone. There is always coffee and snacks. Their hours are a challenge but we drop our car off, pay over the phone and pick it up in the evening with the extra set of keys. In 43 years and after many cars this is the best place we have found. I only wish we had found it earlier. I have had horror stories with other local shops. Seriously the best place for you and your car Dennis is friend and profrssional. They will also drive you home or to work if you need a ride. They will even pick you up if you need a ride home. It is a challenge at first to find Rockwood but once you figure out that it is off East Avenue, no problem. read more

I've been using these guys off-and-on for several years now, because they are convenient to my house, they know what they are doing, and they usually give you a good price. There are a few quibbles I have about them, though: They are open M-F ONLY, and close at 6:00. Not very helpful for those who work during those hours, so you'll almost always need to miss some work when you go get your car. Sometimes they use cheap parts. They stand behind their work, but it's a real pain to have to take your car back because the cheap part they put in only 3 month prior has failed. The shop is difficult to get to. You need to go down Rockwood, then follow along the tracks to get to the rear door to park your car. It's also a bit on the dirty side (waiting room). I gave up on them for brake and exhaust work because, frankly, there are 5 or 6 places nearby that do that kind of work and are open later and on the weekends. I use them now mostly for engine issues. read more

We discussed supporting local businesses, and the mom immediately brought up Mytee Automotive and her worries about them being able to stay open - it turned out that I needed my door fix, after a stressful Meals On Wheels mishap (locked my keys in the car). I can't say enough about their professionalism, knowledge, and compassion. My car has not ran this well in YEARS. Sounds and vibrations that have been around for years... other shops told me that it's due to the age of my car.... but miraculously, they are gone after one visit at Mytee Automotive. I have friends and family, who I speak to via Bluetooth while driving, telling me that they are surprised that I'm actually in my car, because it's so quiet. I had an electronic pedal assembly replaced back in April. They were quick, experienced, and had great customer service.

This place is worth the time to find the first time. You won't go anywhere else after having them service your vehicle. Dennis, the current owner, bought the business from the original owners a few years ago. They have been at the same site since 1958. Before Dennis became the owner he was in the back working as a mechanic. He knows everyone of his long term employees and what they go through in servicing cars. You can't ask for a more reputable, reliable auto service center. They really know what they are doing and they do it well. I won't go anywhere else. read more
