5/03/23 My friend, Paul, told us about Myron's, mentioning that they had delicious sandwiches. So, we stopped in today to get a bite, and we took some videos of the demolition of the Grandstands at the old Pompano Park. We ordered a hot beef brisket sandwich, with a pickle, and cole slaw. It all tasted delicious. Our Server, Jackie was as nice as she could be and did a great job. She represents Myron's in 5 star fashion. When I read the History of Myron's, I was very interested, because my Dad loved his dry, anecdotal humor. Back in the day, Myron was in a class by himself. He didn't seem to smile, while on stage. My Dad even had some of his records. Thank you Mr. Goldstein, as your gesture of naming your restaurant was a great one, in respect for a terrific entertainer. It was a pleasure to stop by today, and we enjoyed the experience and will come back for a nice breakfast. Keep in mind this is in a casino but overall pricing is good as is food. Matzah ball soup comes with plenty of veggies and noodles that you don't really care there is only 1 matzah ball, broth is tasty though. Sandwiches could be a bit bigger but are very good as well. Crisp fries and latkes round out a good meal. Used to give a bowl of pickles but no more with covid service is slow because they are short stAffed but at least the waitress is nice. read more

While we were planning out our holiday party at Farmer's Pick, we decided to order some food from Myron's. They have a order to go area right outside the restaurant. This review is for the to go area. The menu was pretty big for a deli style restaurant. There were many burger and sandwiches to choose from. I like the fact that they give you a lot of choices in breads and cheese as well for your order. I decided on the tuna melt sandwich which did not come with fries but it was a good size. My friend Nathalia, her order came with fries and yes I took some to try. The fries were thickly cut, and they tasted good. Next time I would order fries with my sandwich. For my tuna melt I picked rye bread and provolone cheese. It was nice and flavorful. We both enjoyed our lunch, it took about 15 minutes to make. They had some lunch tables outside the restaurant. Since we were waiting for the other restaurant to open, we ended up eating at the tables near the to go area. Always so great to visit Myrons! This is my go to spot when at the casino. It is a lovely little deli that offers a quiet environment. Great to just relax. They have an array of goodies, sandwiches and the like but I usually get their fresh fruit platter which happens to be quite tasty. This is an authentic Jewish deli and is part of the casino so after a fun day gambling and making bets it provides a quiet cozy break. You can also get a nice Pastrami sandwich or any kind of sandwich you want really. Their coffee is nice and strong and I love their nostalgic decor. Came to gamble and decided to have lunch here too. Friends and wife had the soup and half sandwich and I had the pastrami on rye. Everyone enjoyed their lunch. Friends had the matzo ball soup and wife had the chicken soup. Everyone liked it and said not salty like many soups have been lately. Two had the brisket sandwich and thought it was very tasty. If I could give 0 stars, I would. The service was terrible, nobody to greet us, waitress was extremely abrupt, waited 40 minutes to receive our food, my husband's omelet was overcooked and dry, the hash browns looked and tasted like they were left from breakfast, I was served pastrami instead of the corned beef, that I ordered, and it was awful, even the rye bread was thin and dry. 20 minute wait to be seated and it wasn't even busy. Servers/Hostess totally ignore you. No acknowledgement at all. 15 more minutes before they take your order and then 45 minutes to get it. Food was ok same as usual but service is horrible. I usually always just order outside at the to go area and take it home. Having a super waitress makes a meal that much more enjoyable! Myron's Deli inside the Isle Casino offers up large portions and still leaves you with enough pocket change to hit the slots. My New Year's Eve dinner with my sweetie was Myron's Hash and Eggs. Hash has loads of corned beef an served with 2 eggs your way and toast or bagel with all the fixin's. My wife had a Hot Dog split and grilled just the way she likes and a potato latke with sour cream and apple Sauce. Great meal for 2 big spenders out on the town for New Year's Eve! read more

I eat here frequently for lunch with my customers. The employees are always friendly. It is fast and a great place for lunch. My go to is the turkey wrap but today I had the pompano omelet and it is my new favorite! It is a traditional omelet with cheese, turkey, mushrooms. It is so weird but delicious! It comes with toast and breakfast potatoes. There is free self parking at the casino/horse track. You have to park far away but they have a golf cart driving around that will take you right to the front door. Once inside, it is a short walk to Myron's. Pricing is reasonable. Quality is good and service is friendly, what more can you ask for :-) read more

About 8 years ago I discovered this little deli located inside Isle Casino in Pompano. They use to bring a bowl of assorted pickles to your table (like Mexican restaurants do chips and salsa), which was unusual and pretty cool. The prices were reasonable and food was very good. Fast forward 8 years. They stopped serving the pickles, the food quality has diminished and prices are too high for what you get. For example, I ordered Rueben sandwich assuming it would come with fries. Well, this $17.00 menu item did not come with fries or any side and was soggy. The Reuben at Arby's was better than this one. Delis are a tough category. The older generations that grew up with them want the classics, while the younger folks want something just a bit more modern. Well, somehow Myron's figured that mix out and serves it up inside, of all places, a casino! It kind of makes sense. People young and old like to foolishly giveaway their money in electronic games of chance, so a deli like this would have to have some appeal across the board. So what exactly does this merger look like? In one word, and one menu item, the "Nosher"! It's Jewish Poutine in essence. Crispy fries topped with braised brisket, caramelized onions, and brown gravy. It's a starter here and something fun to get going. At the same time, Myron's nails the classics, starting with these or and vibe, right down to the thinly sliced pastrami with the right amount of fat, tongue, and even turkey off the frame. Ok. The turkey seems more like a roasted turkey breast that's sliced for sandwiches. But overall great. The latkes are fantastic too. Crispy and crunchy on the outside, well seasoned and soft on the inside. I piled my deli meat on these and think it made a solid sub for rye. They also serve a pickle bowl at each table that has pickled green tomatoes, half sours, and kosher dills. Great before and during your meal to cut the richness. Last but certainly not least, they serve classic egg creams. No actual egg whites in them though. So if you happen to find yourself in this particular casino, or with a serious craving for your deli faves, this place is worth a visit. read more

I had the matzoh ball soup and some rye bread. That was it. Our server was nice enough to check with the cooks prior to me ordering it to confirm there was no onion in the broth or cooked the stock either. I very much appreciated that (because I cannot have onion or cooked onion...among other food items) although she did seem quite rushed and maybe a tad annoyed about having to do so, but she did it, so I'm thankful for that. The food was good, the service was the only thing that needs some help. She got the job done but just didn't seem terribly happy about the specific requirements I had. As much as she was potentially frustrated with my needs, I am a whole lot more frustrated with having these needs. I still give it 4 stars because I would definitely come back....the food was good and I'd like to try other food items and maybe our server was just having a bad day that day (I've seen other reviews on the service, but I still want to give the benefit of the doubt). read more

Wifey always loves a good Jewish deli. We've been here previously and since we're leaving town soon we're trying to hit some of our favs. We sat at the counter. Our waitress was decent but didn't leave enough of a mark for me to even remember her name. She was adequate but not spectacular. I ordered a Rachel, hot Pastrami w Swiss cheese, sauerkraut, and Russian dressing (no collusion). It came with French Fries and it was so big we shared it and couldn't finish it. And the review depends on what time of day you get there, the moral to the story is to get there while before 10 PM. Before 10 PM, the food is delicious, portions, generous, and although not an expensive, not a budget posture either. but since we arrive after 10 PM, food was available, carry out only. Clearly, they were not enough staff to serve the long line of people. We had to wait a really long time, and when the food was eventually brought out, everything was ice cold. It's like they cook the food but didn't bother to have anybody bring it up timely, so would have been just sitting there in the open getting cold. I appreciate the plight of restaurants today with not enough workers, but if they want better ratings, they need to keep their place better staffed, and bring up the food rather than piss off well paying customers having to wait a long time and be disappointed with ice cold food that should have been served piping joy. read more

Went to Myron's. They no longer serve knishes, or mushroom barley soup. Limited menu. Good service and ok to eat there if you are in the casino. Would not go out of my way to eat there. Sandwiches are average. Food selections and restaurant was better years ago. Sadly restaurant appears to be in decline. read more

Not a bad place to get something to eat or to go and there's hardly ever too many people so it makes the wait barely 3 minutes until you get a booth. The food is good and Mel, our server, is attentive and makes sure I'm always good with my drinks and she's never wrong about the desert which is cheesecake. As for the main dish: I usually always get the open faced turkey with gravy and mashed potatoes. Also can always sit and watch a football game or whatever is on tv and just get out of the house. Met my brother there yesterday. He claimed some of their dishes reminded him of mom. No one could compare of course. But worth the try. Staff was friendly. Food was very good. Went to Myron's takeout Saturday night, 9 pm. We were told only one bowl of soup left. Ok, ordered a turkey sandwich. After 20 minute wait, food received, and no place to sit and eat. In the past, they always provided a few tables and chairs for customers to eat. When I asked where we could eat what we just paid for, we were told to go upstairs near the racing area!! ?? After complaining about the "new" setup, we spoke with Norma who suggested we eat our food at the bar. This is the worst Jewish Delicatessen in all of Florida maybe the world. They don't properly steam and slow cook their pastrami and corn beef. It is served cold most times. And if you complain they take the meet stick in on a. grill and you get it crispy. It's ridiculous. They charge you money for pickles and they have reduced the amount of meat on the sandwich to about 3 oz. It's miserable. I mean there is utube videos on how to prepare corn beef and pastrami they could learn. If not turn it into a burger and Caribbean food joint and stop wasting people's time and money. read more

Went back and forth on this review; wish Yelp allowed for half stars. Bunch of us went and nearly everybody got pastrami sandwiches and were pleased. They were not oversized compared to other places but the portion size was ok and the pastrami was tasty. The fries were really good. Price was reasonable. Our server, Vanessa, was excellent, we kept her busy. Myron's is in an older casino and has been around for a long time and has that old time dated feel but that feel, although clean, was not a 4 star feel. And this is coming from someone who likes divey places. Still I liked the food and the price was reasonable. Great spot tucked away in the casino. There are limited options for late night dining, so this place fits the bill. The food is not cheap and the portions are not huge; like a typical Jewish style deli; but that seems to be more of a function with patrons using credits for meals. May 2022, Mel, who waited on our table of 8 was Fabulous! She took great care of us. There was plenty of seating with booths and tables, but they sat us in the back in order to put the tables together for our group. We all got to the restaurant at 3:30pm. The inside lighting was dark, in my opinion, raise the lights. Now for my meal, I ordered a bowl of the "Old Fashion Chicken Soup with Noodles and Matzo Balls " that was NOT Salty at all, it was delicious. Honestly, it was the best soup I had out in a long time. I ordered one Potato Latke on the side that tasted ok, not sure if it was freshly made, but I would not order that again. My friend shared her Hot Pastrami Sandwich with me and it was delicious. The meat was not fatty and was fresh and cut thin. The only complaint was Rye Bread was old NOT FRESH, it was a few days old because the ends of the bead started to fall apart as I was holding it in my hands, Shame on the Manager for allowing days old bread to go gout of the kitchen that way. All and all, if I am ever in the Casino again I would come here for the Chicken Soup. read more
