I have had two facials with Amy this year and she has been nothing but sweet, honest, and very gentle with my skin. The entire experience had me feeling relaxed, refreshed, and blissful after it was finished. I can't remember which facial I had on my first visit, but it was heavenly and had my skin glowing. I think it was either the Mysa Aqua Peel Facial or the Signature. The products she used smelled great and for someone with sensitive skin, I'm always worried about how my skin will react. This place is a scam. First impression- the front desk/seating area is nicely updated with wooden slat walls and boho style chairs, however as soon as you enter to the back the carpet is completely stained in the hallway and the rooms are outdated with cheap lights and decor. Amy was my "esthetician" and within 2 min of looking at my skin she said she's going to upgrade me to the signature facial without informing me of the price difference (I had to ask). She was rough and rushed throughout the whole time. She also decided to just shave down my eyebrows without letting me know, which is super thin now. She also didn't use the ultrasound machine which was suppose to be part of the $80 upgrade. The service was terrible and the rooms feel dirty and old. Well I am still going here and it's the best. I get so much for my money but also the care shown by not only my esthetician Amy, but Janelle also, who the beauty in reception who is so efficient and welcoming. I feel comfortable and cared for the minute I walk in this relaxing environment and the facial is superb. Amy completely fulfills my every wish regarding a great facial - including misting, gentle extractions, aromatherapy, essential oils, face, scalp and neck massage as well as finishing off with special eye cream and sun protection. I made my next appointment upon leaving and I have have never done that in any other spa. I've been to Mysa Day Spa a few times now for different services. Overall, my experience has been amazing, and the staff members are friendly and helpful. For facial treatments, I get the hydra facial treatment with Amy. I haven't had a facial for many years, so I appreciate Amy's attentiveness and knowledge in sharing about my current skin condition. After my first time getting a facial with Amy, a few days later, my mom told me she noticed a difference that my face didn't seem as dry/dull, and she didn't know I had gotten a facial. I know it may sound unbelievable after one treatment, but that's what happened, and I've been coming back ever since. I would highly recommend Amy as she made the whole process feel relaxing and peaceful. For massage, I get a deep tissue massage with Christine. Christine is incredibly knowledgeable about the muscular system and teaches me exercises I can do at home to decrease tension and stiffness as I sit at a desk most of the time for work. read more

My recent visit was very underwhelming. I booked the Signature Deluxe Facial which is supposed to include the Aqua Peel, and that part did not occur at all. The service was also not relaxing or deluxe; I think she gave me less than a 5 minute shoulder massage. And she also left me alone in the room for an extended period of time, while having the LED mask on. I've had enough facials to know that if i'm going to be paying over $200 for a facial, the service and attention to detail should be top notch and the esthetician should not be leaving you alone in the room. I also woke up with a huge blemish on my nose that I did not have before the service (I understand purging, but this is definitely worse than that). I opted for the signature because i've had great experiences in the past here, but feel like i paid way too much for something this basic, and did not include all the services as mentioned in the facial description. read more

I tried this spot out for a massage and I won't be going back. First the positives: The people are nice and the place is clean. If this your bar for a spa, you'll be good here. Now, the constructive: the massage room is very small & the table creaked and wobbled like it was unsteady. The massage itself was just a waste of time and money, if not actually counterproductive. They simply pushed on my body through a sheet for the whole time. I get massages on a fairly regular basis (1-3 times a month) and thought I'd try this one out because it's close and has some positive reviews. I write this review now to hopefully help save someone else from my mistake of going here. To boot, I received an automated text from the spa asking how my "massage" was & when I replied with honest constructive feedback, they ignored it. Amy is absolutely fantastic! I have been seeing her once a month for the past 4 months, and I've noticed a visible difference in my skin.  I  usually stick with the signature facial which includes very thorough extractions and various mask treatments. Amy does the most amazing massages on my face and shoulders, too. I always leave with my face glowing!  The Spa itself is small and without amenities (hence day spa), but it's super clean and the staff always friendly.  I do wish they offered more product options - I am personally not a fan of Dermalogica but I will continue to be a loyal patron because of Amy. read more

Booked their Mysa Hydrafacial ($308) + dermaplaning ($50) I've booked many hydrafacials, mainly with dermatologist offices, but this was my first coming from a spa. While my tech was very nice I didn't feel like the price was worth the service. - the steaming machine was very close to my face and blasting hot steam for about 20 min constantly. I felt I couldn't breathe properly and had to turn my head a few times -the tech spent a lot of time massaging my face and the soap or cleanser was seeping into my eyes which made it burn -their website says the hydrafacial comes with extractions and my tech did not do any extractions on me. Just a lot of putting on cleanser and wiping off. - the real kicker is the $50 dermaplaning add-on! Like I said, the other places I've gotten a facial my esthetician showed me the scalpel and I could see and hear her take it out the sterile packaging. Which is what dermaplaning is! When she was dermaplaning my face I felt the razor to be dull and have some sharp edges to where it felt like my face was being scraped. After the service when she left I room I looked at what she used and it was those cheap facial razors you can buy from daiso, Walmart or target! I think I'm most upset about that considering I have one at home and they charge $50 to use a cheap tool. Not a medical grade scalpel. All in all I would not come back again. I will have to do better research to find a dermatologist office who has services such as hydrafacials. read more

I was neglecting my face for a few months due to work load, and my skin was dehydrated and irritated and dull. Finally scheduled my facial with Amy and what a change! Well, I did not look 20 years younger :-) , but what a difference! Came out with skin hydrated and irritation was almost gone. Amy used some sci-fi machine on me to blast my face with hyaluronic acid and it made a big difference. She also cleaned my clogged pores. Her touch is very gentle and soothing. I had a wonderful birthday afternoon at Mysa Day Spa! I was a few minutes late for my appointment but as soon as I walked in I felt completely relaxed. Whatever essential oils are in the waiting area were so calming! But FYI, if it's your first time get there before your appointment to fill out paperwork. I had an eyebrow appointment with Amy, and she shaped my eyebrows beautifully. I told her I hadn't had my eyebrows waxed in a really long time and she was super meticulous and very gentle. Then I had an amazing massage with James. I originally had asked for a pressure point massage but in filling out my paperwork I noted that I wanted my massage to hit certain stress points on my back but also be relaxing. The thing I really appreciated was that James confirmed what I wanted, and then advised that he could do a part Swedish, part pressure point massage which was totally fine with me. And OMG it was perfect. He worked out all of the knots in my upper back and incorporated a balance of both styles perfectly. And asked me multiple times to check on pressure. I've been going to Christine for Deep Tissue Massage for the past few months for one reason: she's the first person to relieve the neck, shoulder, and back pain that I've gotten so used to having I'd given up on it going away. I've been to many different massage therapists, but typically the pain and tense muscles are back within 24 hours. With Christine, not only am I pain free for nearly the next week, and I attribute that to her expertise in human musculature. For example, I complained about neck and shoulder pain and explained that I spend most of my days programming and staring at a screen. Christine started from my arms and slowly loosened and worked out the many, many knots in there working her way up to my shoulder joints. Amazingly, after the massage I realized that my shoulders, which previously had been rounded and not touching the massage bed, were actually laying flat and my range of movement had actually improved. It was strange to roll my shoulders afterwards and *not* feel popping. Christine is also pleasant to converse with and offers practical tips for reducing strain in between appointments. Simple things like setting a timer to roll my shoulders every hour. Frankly, I feel comfortable entrusting her with consistent, long-term treatment, which is why I went ahead and bought a package and why I am also leaving this review for other people dealing with chronic stress and pain. read more

my first experience not good. I made an appointment when the opened for the last appointment of the day and 3 hours later the call and cancel bc the therapist wants to go home at 7pm instead if 8pm. Their assigned worked schedule. It was for a birthday and they should have done something for their late day cancellation but offered nothing. After pandemicing with two young kids, a full-time job, and a business on the side, among other things, I decided to take the day off of work for a "me" day. I got a 90-minute massage with a 30-minute reflexology (foot massage) and It. Was. Amazing. One of the best massages I've ever had. After an early wake up time and 5 hour train ride to get to my hotel here in San Francisco, my shoulder was aching. I have chronic pain and massages have been a little helpful in the past. Mysa Day Spa had one afternoon opening and the price seemed comparable to other spas in the area. I chose the Focus Pain Relief 60 minutes massage. James was my massage therapist. I was nervous about having a male massage therapist but as soon as I met James I felt safe and at ease. He was very kind and joyful while also amazing at finding the sore spots and applying pressure to get them to relax. Some spots were tender but afterwards my widespread pain and discomfort was significantly better. I highly recommend coming to Mysa Spa for a massage. I've been seeing the same aesthetician for over 6 years - Amy! Amy works here now and she's still as good as she was back when I was in my early 20s. I had to come see her here for my first facial in years (I was abroad for my masters). I won't see anyone else. My face feels so much lighter, refreshed and clean. The wet microdermabrasion facial is awesome. It's now been a couple hours since I've left and no itchiness, irritation, or redness that I've gotten at other places. The "wet" part and Amy's expertise must really make the difference between this and other microderms. I also love this new spa she's working at. It's so cute and small and the vibe is wonderful. I want to even just sit in the reception area all day - it feels so serene. I want to take their flowing water table centerpiece home with me. I feel bad giving this review, as I got the services with a gift card. But I felt it is important to let other people know my experience. I went to Mysa last Thursday before a trip to Kauai for a Brazilian and half leg wax. I was helped by Amy. It was a hot wax that I paid for, but the wax was way too hot! Amy burned my skin in many spots during the service. I kept telling her that the wax was too hot and she just kept telling me that I was too sensitive. Unfortunately, I had angry red welts all over my legs and on my lips. I did call the spa to let them know so that future clients could avoid burns. I was excited to find a spot close to my house that came with an amazing recommendation and gift card, but I won't get waxed there again. Horrible massage. I think it was one of the worse I've had ever. Great facility, clean but the male masseuse I had was just bad. He didn't use lotion. It's like he didn't want to touch me. He massaged me for an hour through the sheets. The sheets were rough! I've never ever had a massage with sheets oher me. It was like rubbing sand paper all over me. I've tried to go back but they keep say only the make masseuse is available. Keep in mind this isn't about the pressure as I get deep tissues all the time.
