Surf & Turf Burrito
Latice W.

I decided to try this place based on the great reviews, but unfortunately, it didn't live up to the hype. The food was pretty average and definitely overpriced for what you get. I ordered the surf and turf burrito, and it was just... meh. The real deal-breaker, though, was when a huge roach showed up while I was eating. I lost my appetite immediately. I didn't snap a photo because I assumed it might've wandered in through the open windows. I moved to another table, but the staff gave me a look like I had brought it in myself. Now I really wish I had taken a picture. Needless to say, I won't be coming back.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This is a small, fast casual burrito place right next to Matthews Pizza and across Eastern Avenue from the Creative Alliance. So basically, an amazing spot.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The burritos were huge (like, seriously, 2 people can split one) and very tasty. These are not typical Mexican-style burritos, they are creative, with a Southern California and Hawaiian flare. We got the teriyaki steak and gochujang steak burritos. We also got a side of onion rings, even though they aren't technically on the menu. Everything was perfectly cooked and freaking amazing. They also make their own Jamaica tea, which was outstanding.

Do you need a sign to try Mystic? Yes, yes, yes! This place is fantastic! The service is quick and efficient, and I love how they decorated the space. We walked here for lunch and ordered the Tofu Temptation burrito and the Hawaiian Steak burrito. Both burritos were big and stuffed full of ingredients, and they came with red and green salsa and a green salad with a super yummy vinaigrette. We ate half the burritos and saved the other halves for lunch the next day.

Recently stopped in to Mystic Burrito after checking out an exhibit at Creative Alliance across the street. I needed something to hold me over on the drive back to New Jersey, and I couldn't have been more pleased! When I say I would drive to Maryland just for a burrito, I absolutely mean it! The service was great. It's a cute little place to sit and catch up with friends, which I was able to do with a long time friend from high school and their partner. We sat at the counter but next time I'd suggest we grab a table and stay a little longer. That was cool for such a quick catch up session and fulfilling meal. My friend got tacos and a burrito, and as someone who lives in Baltimore was very happy to have a new spot to grab some eats. I thoroughly enjoyed my food, the interactions with staff and other customers, and the overall atmosphere. I will surely return and if you're in the neighborhood, you should definitely check it out. Perfection in a tortilla was had! Yum! I'm sad that I'm not there eating one right as I type this. LOL

This is one of my favorite places in Baltimore (and I don't say that lightly). None of their burritos are a miss. I'm constantly going back. The food is absolutely delicious and it's fairly priced. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a cute place with great service.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] No complaints.

No one in Canton should be eating at Chipotle or Qdoba anymore... this little spot on Eastern Ave is all you need. Awesome size burrito and we got the Surf n Turf burrito (steak and shrimp) for $13!!! Gave plenty of salsa on the side and it was very tasty! Inside is cute for pick up or done-in. Staff was quick and friendly. Definitely give this place a try next time you are craving a burrito! They have tacos and other options too!

Burritos were twice the size of what you get at Chipotle and twice as flavorful. Definitely recommend checking this place out.

The interior is very spacious and can host both large family/parties and smaller intimate diners. We shared a ceviche for an appetizer and it was fresh and the right amount of spicy. Sterling our server was very sweet and attentive. They were so nice and brought out birthday dessert flan for me, candle and all. Would absolutely recommend La Calle in Fells Point to anyone looking for a nice intimate dinner or booking out a big party.

Our friends had the soup and the quesadillas and had nothing but good things to say about them. Can't wait to come back!

Each taco is extremely fresh and I can tell that it was crafted meticulously in the kitchen. Be mindful that each taco is priced separately and you get a single taco ranging from $10.00 - 15.00. The guacamole is fresh and garnished with strawberries. Personally, I typically go for a spicier and more flavorful guac, but if you opt for a fresh and simple dish, then it certainly checks the box. The queso is thick, cheesy, and topped with peppers. I personally could appreciate a creamier queso, but I will say the dish looks and smells amazing. The oysters are rather small in size but they're extremely fresh and come topped with a jalapeño. My expectations for the drinks were a bit higher than what they delivered. Drinks tasted a bit watery and the flavor wasn't as potent (this says a lot for someone like myself who is pretty light weight). Service was fairly accommodating, however, keep in mind that they enforce a rule of having half of your party there prior to seating you. Also be mindful that their menu changes to dinner at 5:00PM, and seating at the outside bar may be closed depending on when you arrive. My favorite of all the dishes was the was the Al Pastor taco! I'd like to give this place another try because just based off of the aesthetic alone it has sooo much potential to be absolutely amazing!

Don't let the outside deceive you. Once you walk in you'll smell the fresh cilantro and chile. It took a bit to translate the menu, but you'll figure it out. There are plenty of options. The server helped us figure it out and we were set. I ordered the El pastor tacos, beans & rice, and tortilla chips. The tacos were theeee best! What I loved the most is that the corn tortillas didn't fall apart!!! I hate it when I go to eat a taco and it falls apart. They cooked the tortillas enough so they held up, but were still soft. Did I already say how good the tacos were?! Along with the meat is cilantro, some onions, and you can top it with some green chili sauce. Sooooo good! The pico de Gallo was some of the best I've ever had. I know what you're thinking. How could you go wrong with pico de Gallo? Yeah, I wonder the same thing, but this pico was FRESH with just the right ratio of tomato, onion, cilantro, etc. Next time I'll order two of them. The chips are restaurant-made. That was our first indicator that the food was going to be ALL that we hoped it would be. AND it was. The beans were pinto beans. Memories from home and the ultimate comfort food. The were cooked perfectly with just enough seasoning. The rice was perfectly cooked too. This is the taco spot you need to try.

I definitely got my money's worth. Experience: Wonderful server. Even in a busy dinner cycle, she came over and literally started to hand me a menu almost right as I sat down. Even gave me a great recommendation for the Enchilada platter and brought the holster of extras over to the table as well. The food was delivered quickly, and the small details (utensils, cleanliness, chair organization etc.) were great. Taste: Honestly this place is a standout for seasoning. It's flavorful, unique, and skewed towards spices over oil. Tasteful impact, without the baggage. A gem.
