Awful place with awful attitudes. The inside is dirty and cluttered. The signs showing the price are confusing because many things are crossed out. The large lady gave a lot of unnecessary attitude when I asked her about the banh mi. There are many better places around. Took a few bites and had to toss. The bread was hard and stale.

Banh Mi Thit Nguoi (combination Vietnamese sandwich)

This hole in the wall has some Vietnamese staples, with freshly made soups and sandwiches, but availability is hit or miss so call ahead if there's anything in particular you want. The spring rolls were HUGE and tasty and a deal for 2 for $4. The Banh Mi sandwiches were tasty but very crumbly and a little inconsistent as far as how heavy handed they are on the soy sauce. The Banh Canh was passable but not my favorite. Very friendly service and a great casual spot for to-go orders.

Decided to stop by the restaurant with my mom while we were in the area since it had such great reviews. We split the grilled beef banh mi, pho ga, and bun thit nuong (vermicelli with pork). Overall for about $20, I was very very satisfied with my food! 10/10 would definitely come back!! The banh mi was delicious! The meat was very flavorful, and portion was very big for $5. The pho ga was also a big portion and included lots of noodles, meat, thai basil, and bean sprouts. Flavor of the pho broth was mediocre but as expected for the price. The vermicelli with pork was delicious - lots of pork in the portion (see photo) and was very well marinated, lots of veggies, and overall very tasty. We were hoping to order some spring rolls but they were unfortunately out. If I were to come again, I also would consider calling ahead because I was there at 2pm (non-peak) and they were still very very busy fulfilling takeout orders.

Plenty of parking in back and can access the place via back door. Place is definitely hole in wall which I'm fine with. Bun bo hue: 2/5 stars. Pretty disappointed with the bun bo hue. Soup flavor was weak and not spicy and sour enough. They used the right noodles which is fine. Comes with the regular roast pork which is bit non traditional. Wouldn't get again Banh mi cold cut; 4/5 stars. Definitely cheaper than city prices and good to boot. Love the fresh crunch and decent amount of meats for price. Will get again whenever I'm in neighborhood.

FYI if you're looking for this place it is called N&H Saigon on their sign, it's 2 doors down from dominos. The banh mi's here are good, a little over $4 for one. They fill up each sandwich with an adequate amount of meat so it makes it kind of worth over $4.

The Vietnamese bánh mì here is very good. The price is very reasonable. The only downside is that the location is small as it has very limited space to sit and not easy to find as it's in a little corner.

The beef and chicken subs are out of this world! All sun fans need to try them. In and out of there quickly too.

It used to be N&H, now N&P under new ownership. I've eaten there under both owners, and it's still excellent food.

I tried the broken rice with pork chop, pork skin, and pork egg cake, lemongrass chicken, pho with eye round and brisket, bun bo hue, and both of their spring roll offerings. Every dish came out quick and in large quality portions. The broth in both noodle soups were very good and the bun bo hue wasn't too spicy and was full of lemongrass flavor. The pork chop was a bit tougher than I'm used to and I did not like the pork skin, but the lemongrass chicken was juicy and tender. Just keep in mind that it takes 15-20 minutes to prepare the chicken dish. The service is quick and friendly and they have a button you can press in order to get the waiter's attention even though they're always walking around anyway. Overall a solid spot for Viet food in an area loaded with good Viet places. I'm going to have to give the pork chop another try because it's typically one of my favorites.

Pho 89 has a ton of great dishes to choose from, some more and less exotic than others, and the food is always of good quality. The staff here is super friendly, service is quick, and everything is always tasteful. I've had various versions of their pho, as well as their Goi Cuon Tom Thit (fresh spring rolls with pork and shrimp) and both of them were incredible. The large bowl of pho is more than enough to feed one, and it comes in tasty bone broth, with noodles, and a large side plate of bean sprouts, lime, basil, and chili oil on the side. The fresh spring rolls with pork and shrimp were even better I'd say. Their favor was incredible, and the peanut sauce they're served with is one of the best peanut sauces I've had in years. This place is an easy 5 stars, and I'd recommend it to anyone.

The inside has a really fun upscale lounge vibe with colorful lighting, floral decor, hanging lanterns, and a huge centerpiece tree that makes the whole space feel almost like you are dining in a tropical garden. It feels trendy and lively without being overly loud, which made it a great spot for both dinner and drinks. For drinks, I ordered the mai tai and one of their mocktails. Both were well presented and came in beautiful glasses. The mai tai was refreshing, balanced, and not overly sweet like many places make them. The mocktail was also excellent and felt thoughtfully made rather than just tasting like juice. For food, the short ribs pho was fantastic. The broth was rich and flavorful, and the portion was generous with tender pieces of meat. Definitely one of the better pho presentations I have had in the area. I also ordered the sizzling steak pate with baguette, which came out hot and smelled amazing. The steak was tender and savory, the egg added richness, and pairing everything with the fresh baguette made for a really satisfying dish. Overall Monkey Lounge delivers on both ambiance and food quality. It feels like a hidden gem if you want somewhere with strong date night energy, aesthetic decor, and Vietnamese fusion dishes that actually taste as good as they look. Would absolutely come back again.

He apologized and said it would be out shortly. 10 minutes after that and everyone was done with dinner and it still hadn't come out. We told him to cancel the remaining entrees as dinner was over, he said it would be out soon. We said no thank you, please take it off. He brought it out anyway. We took it reluctantly. It was not very good, but we had a bite or two. I was shocked that he then proceeded to drop the entire bill without any migration or even a gesture. In my experience in a similar circumstance if you're the server you do something to try to make it right. I dunno maybe take off a soda or bring out a free slice of cake if not take something off the bill. Just felt pretty amateur. All we got was some vague excuse about the kitchen being renovated. That's something you should tell a large party when they're ordering. Anyway we've been doing this dinner at different restaurants across the country for years and this night was unfortunately the first time we've had a bad time like we did here that night.
