Located in a food market this is one of the Japanese spots they have to offer. Food was good. Portions were good size had some to take over leftover. A little pricey lunch for two was $50 which seems like the average lately but still a little pricey for lunch. Time weight was only about seven minutes. Offered free samples, which made us choose that location. Will definitely come again when working in the area. Currently has a projection screen showing the showing FIFA. Area was very clean have constant janitors walking around cleaning off the tables.

Delicious chicken fried rice. Can't believe people could even rate it lower than 5 stars, definitely will be coming back.

I typically get either the Spicy chicken plate, or the Chicken plate. Very tasty, but since I am watching my sodium intake, it is clear that it is very salty. The spicy is also very hot, but I like it. My wife orders the Beef Bulgogi, which is a little dry and very fatty, too fatty for me actually. I love the clear noodles. What I like is the customer service and large area to sit and eat.

Wandering the stalls of the Public Market food hall in Emeryville, I was tempted by the aroma of KBBQ. After studying the menu of combo plates and rice bowls, I opted for the bibimbap with its rainbow of vegetables. At ~$15, this felt like a fair price given the generous size of the bowl, which came loaded with a variety of colorful veggies (carrots, pickled radish, seaweed, spinach, cabbage), mushrooms, rice, japchae noodles, and a sunny-side egg on top. The bowl also came with small cups of spicy kimchi and gochujang sauce on the slide, although I could have used a couple more containers of kimchi given the sheer size of the bowl. The bibimbap was highly fragrant with garlic, and the acidity of the pickled vegetables cut through the rich umami flavors. I had plenty of leftovers to take home and enjoy later. Service was quick, and there was plenty of seating at the communal tables in the Public Market.

Hubby and I were attending the opening of the Emeryville Art Exhibition and popped over to the Public Market for a bite to eat. I was hungry but nothing really grabbed me, so after circling twice I ended up at NabiQ and ordered the bibimbap with spicy pork and egg on top while he went to a different food stall. It was a generous portion, enough for two. The food looked appealing but the meat was too sweet for my taste even after mixing the whole thing together. It came with a small cup of kimchi and gochujang sauce. I picked at it the food but left quite a bit uneaten, didn't want to take it home. Price was over $22, including tip. The person who took my order was friendly and polite. Food came fairly quickly. The kitchen area was clean and tidy, no complaints there.

Sometimes I stop by the public market occasionally. Nabi Q was the first ever food place I ordered from the market and it didn't disappoint, great food portions, good flavor, and fast service. Employees and really nice. Love it, totally recommend

Checking out Emeryville Public Market I decided to dine with NabiQ Korean BBQ. I love the proportion of my meal. I love how my Chicken came with vegetables with rice. It is a nice big meal which did fill me up. I do like eat at NabiQ Korean BBQ. I am not sure how long NabiQ been inside the Emeryville Public Market.

So filling and so good! Came out so quick, and warm! Food: BBQ Beef Plate; so amazing and so many sides which I loved. Love the portable tray too, but I feel like they could just do reusable bowls/plates in order to save waste. But I also understand that's it's in a market, so it's nice to have it portable if you plan to sit somewhere else. Service: workers were super kind! Ambiance! Great area with seating right in the front. Sitting in the market is amazing.

Found myself near the public market for lunch and decided to give this place a chance. Service was fast and friendly. The food came out quickly it was fresh and hot. I got a bbq chicken plate and it came with steamed rice some garlicky noodles and fresh veggies. The chicken and rice were solid but the noodles had to much garlic for me, I did like it but didn't eat it all, those veggies were the biggest crime unseasoned boiled broccoli and carrots, just leave them out if you care that much about them. I love the food market and I always try to find a new spot to eat when I get a chance to go. Who doesn't like eating at big long tables with strangers am I right?

Very big serving size with all the best mixes of toppings on top of the delicious short ribs. The sauce is so good and makes the dish 15/10. Service is ok but that's biased because we order the biggest/longest to cook dish but it's still pretty good. Restaurant ambiance is just ok in my opinion, not too many distracting decorations and tables & booths feel nice. We've also tried the spicy rice noodles which were just a 6/10 for me. The kimchi fried rice was also good but not our favorite -- solid 6/10 as well. We literally just come here for the short ribs. So if you're ever in the mood for Korean food and feeling a little 'rich', this place is a must try.

I was violently craving seolleongtang and did some research to find a spot in Oakland. The menu is pretty big with a lot of enticing options--I love bossam and blood sausage--but because I had tunnel vision, I stuck with the soup. The broth itself was good, and they had salt and pepper on the table so you could season it to your liking. Unfortunately, the noodles were way too soft and almost mushy, and the meat was extremely tough and hard to chew. I couldn't finish it. If seolleongtang is one of your favorite dishes, I'd probably skip it here. My husband got the kimchi fried rice, which was huge and great for sharing between 2-4 people. Based on the portion size, I do think it could use an extra egg, more Spam and some nori on top. It leaned more oily and buttery than other versions I've had, but it was still good--just nothing too special. The vibe and service were solid, so I'd come back to try other dishes and update my rating accordingly.

Sometimes you just need a big, comforting bowl of chewy noodles covered in rich black bean sauce, and this spot absolutely delivers. Their jajangmyeon is done just right. The sauce is savory, hearty, and satisfying without feeling too heavy, and the noodles have that perfect chewy texture that makes the whole dish so comforting. The portion size is also massive, so you could definitely share one order between two people--although I completely understand wanting one all to yourself. I also tried their fried chicken, which was decent, but it wasn't the standout for me. It was fine as a side, but compared to the noodles, it didn't feel like something I'd go out of my way to order again. Next time, I'd probably skip the chicken and focus on what they're clearly known for: their noodle dishes. Overall, this is a great spot when you're craving classic, satisfying Korean comfort food. I'd definitely come back for the jajangmyeon and would recommend it to anyone looking for a generous, flavorful bowl of noodles.

It only took roughly 15-20 minutes for the order to arrive and it came hot and fresh. Starting with the ja-jang myeon, it's so satisfying being able to mix in the sauce with the noodles. The black bean sauce is both salty, savory with a hint of sweetness coming through. The texture is thick and perfect which hugs the noodles with every bite. It also has a good balance of the veggies in the sauce as well. It is definitely very filling! The spicy rice cakes were soaked in a sweet and spicy sauce, with sautéed cabbage and peas. The flavors were really addicting and kept me coming back for more. The rice cakes were both delicate and chewy. Eating this dish alongside the pickled radish and onion cut through the richness of the dish. Lastly, I tried the yuja ade and was pleasantly surprised! I will say that it is very sweet, if you do prefer it to be sweeter instead of tart. At the bottom of the cup are these yummy almost candy-like yuja slices that practically melted with each sip. I'm so glad I decided to try it! Overall, the portion sizes are pretty big for the value! I was able to stretch the food across a few meals. I will definitely be eating here again!

A sign on the restaurant also reminds diners of this risk. Saw two nearly naked men sunning and lieing on the pavement while driving around looking for parking. Try to park on busy and visible Telegraph vs a side street. PCTH has a modern vibe with very solid wood tables and benches. The restaurant gets noisy even when half full near the end of a Friday lunch hour. We ordered two of the lunch specials and an Appetizer of Soy and Garlic Fried Chicken (1/2 order of 10 pieces composed of wings and drums). The chicken was very good with a nice crispy exterior and coating of S&G. The two lunch specials - Mushroom Beef Soon Tofu Soup and Spicy Pork Box Lunch were not spicy as what we're used to, a medium on the soup - get spicy if you want more flavor, while Spicy Pork was more sweet than spicy. But still good for their version of spicy pork. The soup also comes with a whole pot of crisped rice for soup dipping / soaking. A nice addition. As for Banchan, nothing spectacular that wowed us. Pyeong Chang is another nice addition to the competitive Korean restaurant area in Oakland's Temescal region, just not the safest of area when it comes to parking your car. A friend saw the restaurant on YT so be weary of media hype and make your own judgment. There are many good Korean restaurants in the area and this just happens to be one of the newer hipper ones.
